Always a great meal and friendly service in nice surroundings. Definitely the highlight of Kilwinning. Still the same after another visit. Even when busy the staff are great and really friendly, and an asset to the business. Food is great as always. Was back in tonight for out anniversary and it was great service and fantastic food.

Had the Sunday roast beef. It was terribly dry, so I had to leave the meat. We weren't asked if we were enjoying our meal. We weren't asked if we would like a drink. By the time I got a glass of wine, I had finished my meal. The waitress was snippy. It's wasn't a good experience, so I won't return.

Part or the Buzz works family, first time visit. Not been for evening meals before. Comparison with The Duke in Kilmarnock, where only had the lunch menu. A charming place with a hidden character inside that disguised on the outside. Staff very friendly and helpful, a Tuesday evening and reasonably full. Went with the standard fish and chips. A CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) member, but was driving so couldn't sample any that were available.

Popped in for a light lunch. Staff were very friendly and food and drinks arrived very quickly. Well Done!

Quite a small selection on the menu compared to others in the area. Good selection of Breakfast items on Breakfast menu.

The staff were really great. However the food was awful the king rib supper was greasy with a portion of awful chips and Katsu ketchup I will not be rushing back for. The food was not cheap and the soft drink was extremely overpriced.

First visit everything was top notch . The food was excellent and portions were more than enough We will be returning to this restaurant . Prices were reasonable as well . All round deserves 5 🌟

Took my lovely partner for date night. Once again we both were impressed with the high standard of service and food. The atmosphere inside is very relaxed clean and well presented. A must for families couples or group meet and eat.

We arrived without a reservation, but after a short wait the manager found us a table. After receiving our drinks order we were moved to a better table. The food was excellent. A couple of local ladies introduced themselves and we had a nice chat with them. An all round fantastic experience. Would highly recommend!!

Hello there it’s William here just on here to say to tell you about my experience here tonight. So first we ordered drinks and it was all fun in games after the drinks came we waited roughly 25 minutes to get offered to order some food. So after the wait we eventually got our food and the £40 steak that came with about the size of a slice of corn beef and that was meant to be well done looked like it was done in the pub across the road 2/10 for me. The young waiter running about getting orders wasn’t the happiest soul in the planet and was cheeky to me and my wife at various points during our stay. Please take this on board. William.

Great venue, food was very good. Staff very professional and attentive.

Out of the two courses we had each. None of the food was good ,bloody mary cocktail with king prawns or five to be precise and very greasy. Chicken tempura over cooked . Steak Pie, meat was of a poor quality, and the gravy was over powering, the accompanying veg was bad and again covered in an even stronger jus. Duck and pancakes ,duck was cremated, and the pancakes were folded in half and when trying to make one, they just split in the middle . And I wonder why those carrots were cut that way . Seventy pound I won't get back.

Loved the specials on Father’s Day - pleas keep them! Cod loin was amazing. Have honestly avoided CH in recent months - food below par and not great dairy free options. But this was the best meal ive had for a while.Staff, as always fantastic - but please consider relaxing your uniform rules - trainers can be totally acceptable and very smart. A must have when on your feet for so long!

We went for dinner and as usual the service and atmosphere was good. The decor is nice and feels welcoming. The food did not match up however - the chips served with the fish were barely warm and just edible and the mushy peas were beginning to solidify having been cooked for too long before serving. The standard of food across many of the Buzzworks resturants has fallen in recent times and given the prices they are charging this is not acceptable. The food offering in general is decidedly underwhelming.

Ate here a couple of weeks ago as I've been before and it was great! This time around both my starter and main arrived cold. My starter of calamari was basically just burnt batter with a very! thin piece of rubbery overdone fish. My main arrived and the noddles were cold and the chicken just about room temperature. I did send this back (which I never do!) And it was replaced with a new dish. Which was indeed pipping hot, but, the taste was bland and I left most of it on the plate. Hopefully just an off night and i may return at some point but it definitely won't be my first choice anymore.

Went there for Mother's Day Lunch with Sister's. Never again blood running out of roast beef not the only one. Sister's waz the same l. And another customer with her daughter first time they said this lady lunch was the same. The lady confirmed she would not be back Ever. Been invited for Fathers Day with Family but I'll never go back again Rotten

The food was fine (though the mini roast chicken was dry, possibly due to what I'll say next!) and the menu provides a good variety of choices but the service was AWFUL. We waited over an hour for our food and had to ask for it to be brought out. It was clear that they had forgotten about us and our food wasn't ready to be served...or it had been sitting waiting hence the dry chicken. We had 3 kids with us (under 2, 3 and 7 yrs old). One had been served their starter and the youngest had been given their main meal after 30mins after we asked for them to be brought out together. But the rest of us, including the very patient 3 year old, waited over 30mins more before we finally gave in and asked where our food was. Due to the delay, when we then asked for desserts for the kids we were then told that they were a chef down and we might have to wait a while. Funny that this wasn't mentioned when we ordered our main meals and it must be a coincidence that this exact same thing happened a year ago (both times for my mums birthday). Also every other table around us, including people who came in after us, seemed to be served in a timely manner. The truth is that this place can't cope with having a full restaurant. They either don't employ enough staff or the staff just can't cope with the demand. We won't be returning as they have ruined my mums birthday lunch 2 years in a row now.

I'm going to stop giving the Cornerhouse my business, each time we visit there is an issue. My husband and I visited and asked for a table in the near empty restaurant. We were offered a table with stools so we declined and went through to the bar to eat. We had a meal and a couple of drinks and as a party were coming in the door we left via the restaurant only to discover the same handful of tables occupied. A couple of weeks ago we visited and I had beef so requested horseradish. Waitress came back saying there was none. I asked for mustard and she came back saying there was none....not even an offer to pop over to the coop for some. Took my elderly mum (who has dementia) in on Sunday for lunch. We sat down and there were no customers in or any staff around in the bar. I went through to the restaurant and asked for a cloth for the table, as was sticky, and a menu. We received menus, no cloth, and the waitress proceeded to serve everyone else (2 customers at the bar and 2 at a table ordering food) except us drinks and food orders. I complained and left as just too tired for that nonsense after a 24 hr shift. We had a nice we lunch at the Lemon Tree.

First time we’ve ever been and will definitely be back,what a fantastic experience,staff excellent,food excellent,really enjoyed our meals.

Great family Easter Monday dinner. A 3 and 2 year old in the party and staff were absolutely wonderful with the children even when they were getting a bit excited , kept them entertained, laughed with them. Taking kids can be so stressful and the staff made the dinner so enjoyable it makes all the difference . Excellent food too, could not fault!

One of the best restaurants in North Ayrshire tucked away in Kilwinning. I would highly recommend going here if you are passing but booking is advised as it's usually always busy. I would recommend the Cullen Skink soup as it's top class.

Excellent environment, good food, good service only thing I say is its a bit pricy for certain things. Staff were very friendly and helpful, down to earth and attentive. Moved back to Kilwinning, will be back.

I came here just before Xmas for a hearty meal with 2 very good freinds from the Church ⛪️ I attend and I wanted to let them have a taste of real Scottish food before they departed back to their own lands.. We got great choice of dishes and we decided we would all pick something different so we could try each others, that way we would be more experienced to have a say in what our opinions of real Ayrshire, Scottish food was like... As I thought, or rather as I knew ' what they would say..it was absolutely delicious, the Salmon dish was cooked to perfection, the crispy Steaks were awesome 👌🏻 even though we had never heard of Crispy Steaks 😋.. all the sides, Chips 🍟 and Veg etc was all very fresh as if it came from the fields an hour before serving... At first we thought it was a bit expensive, but as soon as we got taking to our table and our jackets taken sit down and see the quality of workmanship and fitting out of the restaurant.. and then there's the absolute very helpful waiters and waitresses that would actually do anything requested to satisfy us.. So all in all if you want to impress any family or freinds about great Ayrshire food then 'The Corner House is definitely a good contender and guaranteed to satisfy.. Thank you for our lovely meal..

I love coming here for the atmosphere as it is always very cosy and the staff are great, we enjoy the chilled out environment. Food was lovely however could have been fresher. Asked for maple syrup for pancakes and was given golden syrup, not that we minded as it was still enjoyable but there is a difference. Will still be back though as we enjoy the food

I've eaten here a few times now, and every time the food and service has been spectacular. The ladies from my church had a meal at the Corner House in December, and it was delicious. Our waitress was funny, patient and really took her time with us. Unfortunately, at that time, my little sister was in hospital and was unable to join us which she was gutted about. So, I took her for her birthday on Monday. Again spectacular food and service. There was not one meal between the three of us that we did not like. The portion sizes were massive, and I could not believe how cheap the bill was on. This is fastly becoming a new favourite of mine, and I cannot wait to come back 😀

Omg do not go there,my starter of red pepper houmus was vile and cold flarbread,also waiting 40mins for our main which was ridiculous asked for tempura and chips as main,got like 20 tempura only! Had to say I asked for fries,no apology just OK I get them,wasn't asked once how's tour meal,or asked would you like any condiments had go get them ourselves,just under £58,for 2 starters a maim and a joke of a main never again !

UPDATE: it's getting there !!! We've noticed a slight drop in portion size ( nothing too dramatic, but noticeable ) , The service can sometimes be hit and miss ( but mostly hit ), the atmosphere is fab when its full or half full ( never half 'empty') 😁 .... without going into great detail, its still a very nice place to eat ( and drink ) .... if you haven't ( why not ?) Well pop in and try for yourself 🤗

Christmas dinner was excellent as agreed by all of our party of 9 adults and 2 children. Every course was delicious and the service was faultless. Well done all, kitchen and front of house.

Met with a friend for lunch ordered food .ended up with Half toasted toastie... fish goujons... very small portion for price we finished our meal was asked if we wanted sweets but did not but we were then hassled to finish up and the bill brought to table and asked if it was cash or card..we hadnt even finished our drinks felt like we were chucked out ..felt very unwelcomeWill not return

Met my friend for lunch, as restaurant was busy we went in to the bar/restaurant asked if we can order food and drinks, food came out I had a half toasted toastie? I said to the young lad that served us, he said oh right and dismissed me, we didn't want pudding or other drinks, we were talking and still to finish our drinks when same lad sat our bill down, we carried on to chat and still to finish our drinks, he then walks up says you be paying card or cash. We just looked at each other in dismay how rude. We payed didn't finish our drinks and left he made us feel so uncomfortable and we were being ushered out, as we weren't ordering anything else, there were tables still empty so we weren't taking up any space

Another enjoyable dining experience!Staff are top class, service is always attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant is clean, inviting warm and cosy. Star only knocked off for the lack of festive tunes being played! Half of diners dressed in Christmas sparkles and jumpers with Hey Mr Blue Sky playing was a bit odd...but it's still a choon. And one of the desserts ( that we all wanted) wasn't available ..but we forgive you. The food we did have was superb. The only thing I'd like to see in future is to have the option of starter/main OR main/dessert. My wife doesn't eat starters and feels like she's penalised ( not just with your venue) An asset to Kilwinning!

We were in last night to celebrate our anniversary and it was such a delightful celebration. The food is amazing and the service from all of your staff is always great. Special mention to Kieran, such a friendly and bubbly personality. He looked after us so well and the complimentary pudding with the sparkler fountain was a lovely touch to end our meal. Thankyou so much for making our special celebration that extra bit special.

Had meals here on three occasions now. Food is delicious, staff are friendly, helpful and efficient.

First visit, travelled from Barrhead due to recommendations. The staff were friendly and attentive without hovering. Both the fish & chips & macaroni cheese were very tasty and a good sized portion. We were seated at the table next to the fire, this was especially welcoming on such a wet, grey day. Will definitely return and also try the other locations.

Beautiful restaurant with friendly staff. I have been here with family for dinner, as well as for drinks with friends. Both great experiences. The food is delicious and cocktails are gorgeous! The food is quite expensive, however there are deals on certain days.

Went for some breakfast as had heard alot of good things about the place from friends so thought to give it a bash and go for some breakfast cosy and beautiful inside although i was highly disappointed with the waitress as she was quite rude and impatient like she was in a rush even though the place was dead! and for the quality of the food definitely overpriced maybe lunch and dinner menu better but I wont be back in a rush to find out!

Attentive but unobtrusive staff. Pate starter was as we say in Wales "lush". Mains , steak pie excellent sirloin was a bit tight and chewy. Dessert was a tablet / crunchie sundea, also lush. French coffee a welcome finish to the meal. Recommend a visit.

Food overpriced n soft drinks extremely overpriced. Live in England n my mum had the fish n chips. It was just short of £17 pounds n the fish was tiny .£12.80 for 4 diet cokes . Its kilwinning not London .

Great food and friendly service, we visited on a Tuesday lunchtime it was fairly busy , the two courses lunch menu was excellent value with a extensive selection, large portions, the food was tasty and well presented , the staff were friendly,attentive and efficient.I would highly recommend this restaurant

Tried for 15 minutes to phone the corner house to reserve a table but to no avail. Can only assume that it may be closed down or that everbody is that busy that they have no-one to answer the phone or worst still is that the zombie apocalypse has started and it is like Shaun of the dead in there also tried the app and will not let you log in , extremely poor

Situated on a corner it is easily accessible with parking nearby. Cosy fires greeted us and we were quickly shown to our table. We chose from the specials menu and what a feast we had. Great starters. Although portion of calamari was quite large, it was very moreish. The main courses were very generous too. Succulent chicken burger, crispy fish gougens, fabulous e pasta with Toulouse sausage and succulent, plump mussels. The chips were well cooked and the truffle ones full of flavour. Service was quick and efficient and staff were helpful and really nice. Total bill for 4 was £68.88. Not bad. Really busy on a Tuesday so I would recommend booking. A mention for the terrific twins as well. Only down point was no toilet paper in one of the ladies toilets.

It's OK but over priced ,£19 for steak pie is shocking. It's stewing steak and puff pastry.

Great place to go either as a couple, work night or celebration.

Lovely little pub for a family drink while waiting for a train. Very friendly atmosphere, good customer service and decent pint. Well worth a visit if in town 👍

Regularly visit the corner house and always enjoy the food! Staff are always very nice and attentive. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal. The crepes are the best I’ve tried, I’ve gave up getting them elsewhere as nowhere beats them. I love the gambas pil pil too however I’m sure it used to be in more of an oil than a sauce which I preferred but it is still delicious. It is a bit more expensive however the same as most places now, and last time we went the portion sizes were so big that we needed to take some home - the person that couldn’t make dinner was very pleased to get some leftovers! The happy hour offer is excellent and we tend to make use of this where we can.

Our entire experience was amazing. We were treated very well by the staff, the food was incredible. We have made plans to return. We are from the US and visiting Kilwinning for just a few days before heading home, the Corner house was a joy for us to visit. Highly recommend the Steak and Ale Pie :).

Access to the restaurant for disabled people. Disabled toilet on the ground floor. Restaurant looks and feels clean, is nicely decorated. There are some areas that are more private. Our party had fish and chips, steak pie, coconut chicken and beef bourguignon. Some beautiful deserts followed. All the food was super tasty, rich and flavoursome. Beyond expectations. All the staff are nice and helpful. We were delighted with the visit and all said we’d come back and recommend the restaurant to anyone

Relaxed, slightly fancy end of casual dining in the centre of Kilwinning. Great gluten free options, separate fryer for the gluten free stuff. Lovely staff, great food, generous portions.

Had a superb meal, beautifully presented, with the most efficient and friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

Worth a visit if looking for somewhere for a special occasion as can be a bit pricey.

I had the light breakfast. Sausage needed a steak knife, back bacon overcooked however cold, tomato was a slurry, poached egg excellent, toast very pale just coloured bread really , butter melted in dish which is most confusing as the food was cold, teas cup really needed a good clean. Ten quid. Was desperate to complain but one of the people I was with had suffered a bereavement and could not bring myself to say anything in front of her.

Great place for a bite to eat. Lovely cosy setting with welcoming staff. Not a long wait to be served and when food arrived a member of staff overheard my 3 year old daughter saying it was too warm so they put her meal in another bowl to help cool it down quicker for her. Food was lovely also along with a nice portion. Pricey but worth it I would say. We will be back.

Service was pleasant but slow. Food was good though not good value. Generally good.

Not the usual service we have had at the restaurant. I usually sing this places praises. I took my friends in here who were visiting and I sang their praises the whole way to the restaurant assuring my friends of the high quality food for the price. Well, not this time. The macaroni was more like a soup than a pasta dish - one waitress seemed more content in chatting rather than doing her work. No sign of bar/waiting management like there usually is - usually the guy with the beard (nice guy) comes around to tables but he was obviously not there. So, do staff only give good service when management is about? The bartender was the only nice person there, checking in with us once to see if we were ok - however this was before the meal was brought out. We got home and within hours, the food was exiting both ends. When we contacted our friends when they went back home, they were the same - ill. Buzzworks - please for the love of all that is good - retrain your chefs and waiting staff. I have repeatedly told you guys about the steak pie gravy being way too thin although the taste is amazing which is why I always returned. Unfortunately could not order it this time because of the 2 course deal. If Gordon Ramsay came to this place - he would shut it down in an instant.

First time here for family celebration, beautiful food with a great selection. Thought I could manage starter and main but I struggled so bear this in mind, 1st time I ever have! No way I could even look at a sweet menu my favorite part of the meal. If your local or ever passing would recommend you try might need to book first.

Stopped in for lunch the other day. Had a sausage fennel ragu with pasta. It was delicious. Staff are always lovely and the service is great.

We dine at The Cornerhouse regularly and cannot fault the food or service. It was my son's birthday on Friday and they catered for 9 people seamlessly! Even made sure the birthday cake had a sparkler! Great experience! Highly recommend! If you have not been then you need to! Great menu and the quality of the food is amazing 😃

My husband and I had just visited the excellent Sunnyside Nursery in Kilwinning, and were driving through the town when we noticed how cosy and inviting the Corner House looked. We parked in one of the free car parks and made our way to the...

If I could give the staff more stars, I would! Been here three times, once with friends, once for a baby shower and today with my husband. Great location, gorgeous decor and atmosphere and amazing welcoming staff. We turned up hoping for a table and the waitress was amazing, cleaned up a table and got us seated. The meal was delicious and great value - I had the parfait and burger and John had the mushrooms on toast and mussels. Absolutely delicious! And the cocktails are a must!

Really enjoy having a wee drink, smooth chill n easy
