Barony Cafe in North Ayrshire

Second visit here. Enjoyed so much first time thought we would try again. However this second visit I had a cheese scone which tasted sweet it had cheese and sweetness. Not pleasant. Also was cold.

I visit this cafe often for lunch and I’ve never been disappointed. The menu is small, which I like as it means everything is made fresh to order, not depending on frozen mass produced cheap ‘stuff’ being reheated in microwaves. There are always “Specials” daily. I must mention the delicious coffee and home baking too. The cafe is based within an arts centre. It’s a lovely environment and is just so enjoyable to walk around as the exhibits change often. There are also plenty unusual gifts to purchase from some very talented artists. Highly recommend - just don’t steal my table!

Lovely spot in West Kilbride for coffee and cake. Nicely designed and in a historical church building with lots of light and big windows. I always enjoy the atmosphere of community-owned cafes.

Lovely lunch delicious soup and sandwiches. Cafe is set in an imaginative extension of an old church overlooking the graveyard with graves from the 1700s. Don't worry it's a cheery friendly place. Great scones too.

Never had such bad service, especially from the manager who was rude and dismissive. The food was thrown down it was mediocre and overpriced. The atmosphere was uncomfortable and unfriendly. Clearly, they have never heard that feedback is a gift, and the customer is king. It wouldn't matter how good the food tasted. Until the manager attends a training session on excellent customer service .I would never recommend this establishment. The sad thing is that Scottish people are renowned for their hospitality, not a good lasting impression for visiting tourists.

Great little spot for lunch. The ladies worming were polite and friendly. The lentil soup was gorgeous as was the sandwich that went with it. Lovely location.

Great cafe for a late lunch, only downside is it was quite tight to get a pram in but thankfully staff very helpful

Homemade soup, sandwiches, ciabattas and homemade cakes. All delicious with a friendly service. Also nice and clean. Perfect for a lunch date

What a very brusque bordering on rude attitude staff have here. Have been here several times over recent years but today has been the worst and most memorable visit. Food landed on the table rather than being placed!!. Yes they have lovely tasty food especially cakes but the staff need to improve their attitude and customer service skills. Also customers are politely reminded to wear face masks but the staff member who's attitude was particularly unreceptive seems to be exempt from this rule when moving around the cafe and delivering food to tables.

Soup was very tasty, tho not quite warm enough. Food fresh. Cafe in outer part where we were sitting was rather cold.

Excellent cafe, next to art exhibition space. Cakes are especially good and beautiful Building. Staff very polite.

Great coffee and pleasant staff. Limited number of tables so at busy times there can be a wait. Menu is somewhat limited and doesn't change much apart from the excellent soup, but as the food is good it's not a disappointment as long as you aren't too regular a visitor.

Wonderful home baked cakes and scones and cheery serving staff. This is a favourite place for morning coffee or a light lunch. Highly recommended!

Lovely wee cafe in the heart of West Kilbride. Bright and airy, lovely coffee and cakes! Local crafters show there goods and sell them. A must visit place

delicious home made soups quiches and sandwiches

Lovely food, friendly and helpful staff who were especially good checking ingredients for my friend who has food allergies. Definitely recommend for a good service and nice home made food 🙂

This is a café in a converted church which houses a small exhibition and crafts for sale. The café uses local foods and make fresh lunches, sandwiches, soups, cakes and coffees etc, no alcohol but hot and cold drinks in a clean, light and airy environment.

While staying in nearby Seamill, we visited this cafe and gallery for lunch. All we wanted was a bowl of warm soup and it was delicious.

Delightful little cafe located within the Barony Craft Centre. Cafe serves light lunches,teas, coffees etc. All freshly prepared by pleasant staff. Not expensive and the cinnamon flavoured scones are to die for. Outdoor seating area overlooking graveyard, parking close by.

Only serving drinks and cake at the time we went but everything was very nice, the staff were very friendly and you have the option of sitting outdoors as well as inside.

Nice cake and coffee. Breakfast and lunch is served only within specific times, so be careful whenyou go.

Wonderful, friendly customer service and the best scones ever.

Really good range of home cooked foods. Lovely soups & scones and would recommend Thai Chicken. Great that everything is fresh, cooked on the day in the Cafe. Well worth a look!
