Have been here a few times and really enjoyed it as the atmosphere is great , warm and cosy its a great place to unwind after a days shopping , plenty of choice for drinks but havent tried any food yet

Quick stop in Aberdeen, where I enjoyed a wonderful vegetarian style breakfast. It overlooks exactly the port; I found it very fresh and warm at the same time. The staff helps create a calm and peaceful atmosphere, they made me want to go back. In addition to this, there is the excellent breakfast with vegetarian bagel and macha cappuccino

5⭐️s, damn that caitlin knows how to make a coffee. hangover = cured. vibrations = up. starting the day with a spring in my step. nobody does balsamic glaze like the craftsman!!

Fantastic place to go at all times of day, brunch menu is varied and tasty, the specials are always available and explained by the staff. The atmosphere in an evening is elegant and electric especially when live music is on the weekend. The staff are always lovely and hard working. Going here is always positive thank you !

I think there was a sign saying that they roasted their own coffee beans; anyway, not the strongest brew ever... WiFi worked well :-)

Totally understaffed...the staff struggled to clean tables and take orders. Nice and lively atmosphere. If I order scones with butter (that is charged extra) I want butter and NOT margarine!!!

Been here twice with friends now and both times the food has been delicious, most recently the breakfast bagel and an oat milk hot chocolate - so tasty!

We went here for a group meal and it was great. The atmosphere was lovely and the server was very kind. I’ve rated the food lower just because it was a bigger group. I thought my burger was a bit dry but I did like it. Everyone ate all their food.

been wanting to visit here for a while and finally had a chance on friday! liked it so much we came back the next day!! most of this great experience is due to the bar tender jack!! who was very accommodating, had great recommendations and was just very friendly! was such good service and will definitely be coming back :) also was a big fan of the festive cocktails especially the gingerbread espresso martini ⭐️🧸

Had a lovely cup of coffee and a raspberry and white chocolate scone. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and we especially liked the dog photos on the wall.

I visited the place twice during my short stay in Aberdeen. It is a very cozy place that makes you feel at ease very fast, especially if one is occupying the sofa spot. The staff, Caitlin and Erica, helped me to feel like at home and we cracked some jokes and had a good laugh. I also had an excellent cup of coffee, as the place specialises in beer and in coffee.

Smart place with plenty of choice of keg / craft beers worth a stop if you have arrived or are waiting for a train.

On a dreich Summer day in wee Scotland, a Glaswegian walked into a gorgeous Irish-looking coffee bar. She was greeted by an Aberdonian woman, and she requested an Ecuadorian 71% Dark Hot cocoa...The waitress kindly obliged and advised her to "Forget dieting in the current state of the world. After a flight cancellation in London, 2.5 hrs sleep in a cheap airport hotel, a very early flight to Aberdeen, some time in a city center that had not woken up at that time we finally found this place. It was like a ray of light for our dull mood and tired minds. Absolutely lovely!!

We stayed a night in Aberdeen on our way to Inverness. Decided to go downtown and find a place to eat. We found the Craftsman Company and we're so happy we did! One of the few places in the UK that had white chocolate for my mocha (best cup of coffee I had in the UK!) and the food was great! Perfect portions and great flavor. The place was busy and the atmosphere is so cozy!

Great options for hot chocolate, really nice atmosphere and animal friendly. Also enjoyed the almond pain au Chocolat. Very unique.

Lovely place. We met up with friends for drinks. The branded GnT was fine. The GnT suggestions were horrible. The lemon fizz something cocktail came neon bright and was undrinkable. The beers are alright. The staff is friendly and place has the right vibes. Very welcoming to all groups and is dog friendly too.

I've been travelling England Ireland Scotland for 6 weeks now. This is the best coffee I've had. What a cracker of a spot. Great old building, really friendly atmosphere and super friendly staff who really know their product. Highly recommend.

one of our favourite places to visit! Great vegan and gluten free options (love the change for the full vegan fry up), you can tell that food is fresh and made with love. We have never had any issuess with altering our orders or special requests. Staff is always very helpful, coffees always taste great and cake choices are top notch. Also great to see changes in the venue, new gantry is looking class. We are always excited to come back :)

Took grandson for teddy pancakes and baby Chino for a birthday treat. He loved the pancakes and the maple syrup went down a treat. The grown ups all had different bagels with delicious fillings Coffee was served quickly and hot. Not to pricey. Unfortunately did not have the tiramisu french toast on the menu as was looking forward to that.

Something has changed here. Used to give it 4 stars but changed it to 2. Haven't been for a few months but there used to be a great selection of beers on the main board - lots of different selections. This time the selection was narrower and more mainstream and the big blackboard was empty. Whenever we've been before the staff have also been approachable and helpful but this time the guy was really arsey and made us feel like a nuisance for asking about gin choices. Won't be back any time soon.

We had the best day here! Came for the brunch as heard from friends it was great and they were right! We ended up spending half our day here, the bar staff were so friendly. The bar manager went out of his way to accommodate us and even talked us through new cocktails on the menu, great day!

I visited this venue recently with some friends for a coffee and a catch up and I have to say, I am disappointed with my experience. Upon arrival we were not greeted and so stood awkwardly while 2 staff members chatted behind the bar. We took a seat before heading up to the bar to order from a gentleman in a very floral shirt (I think he may have been a manager). We only ordered 3 coffees but he was incredibly rude and it felt as though our order was an inconvenience. Not only was the service hostile at best but the coffee tasted as though it was prepared by someone very new to coffees (it was the said manager who made these himself). It’s a shame to leave such a review as I used to be a regular in Craftsman but this was my first visit in about a year. The service used to be excellent and the coffees best in Aberdeen. We speculated that it could be a change in management/ ownership or perhaps just a bad day, however I am now reluctant to come back again.

Came in for a Latte but ended up having a breakfast bagel, Latte and lemon sanpelagrino, thank you to Josh for the recommendations of food and drinks to pair well with it.

Came in for Espresso's were fantastic, massive shout out to the staff, especially Pat 💜 great recommendations of cakes and beers for after.

A nice wee place, the coffee was delicious, but the food was pretty average. The sausage was very poor quality and very pricey for not amazing food. Shame, as it is a lovely spot. The bagels looked amazing, perhaps we made the wrong choices.

The waitress who “welcomed” was the most surly and sour waitress I’ve ever had the misfortune to be “served” by. The Turkish eggs were a joke. Poached eggs next to some cold toast with some yoghurt and herbs. The full Scottish was ok. I had a bagel which was really nice. The whole overtone of the place was that despite being the only four people in the place we were in the way and unwanted.

If you have a spare £50 to throw away this is your place of choice! My partner had the full Monty breakfast more the half pint size plus helps if the sausages were cooked, they weren’t even browned off! Pathetic £17-95 I had the Turkish eggs…. 2 overcooked poached eggs drowning in fridge cold yogurt with some chives stirred through then a believe it was meant to be a drizzle of chorizo oil more like an oil slick which unfortunately the tasty sourdough drank up to the point of saturation. So they only flavoursome part of the dish was completely ruined by the chefs incompetence! No seasoning at all and oil had no flavour. In other words tepid overcooked tasteless slop. Dire £9-95 This place should be featured on RIP OFF BRITAIN!

Food was terrible rock hard bagel dry, garlic mushrooms cold, Not good at all

Me and my partner used to come here a lot as it was our favourite place to get Breakfast/Lunch but it feels as though the place has taken a turn for the worse. I believe they have a new chef and are potentially under new management. The last 3 visits the service has been sub par, everyone is entitled to off days of course but it’s now just a bit of a theme. They used to be quite bubbly but now everything seems a bit of a chore. It took us 20 minutes to get our order taken last time and we actually had to get up and grab someone ourselves, when we told her we had been waiting a while and just wanted to order she looked a bit miffed that we had bothered her. The food isn’t the same as it was before, usually I would order a Big Monty Breakfast but the last time I had one the bacon and sausage looked anaemic and on the verge of being just cooked. It was always done perfectly before so it was a bit off putting. My partners father asked for his bacon and sausage to be cooked a little bit more, this seemed to be a hassle too. It’s unfortunate for the staff if they aren’t being managed well or are suffering with new owners but with the way it is we won’t be going back, particularly when you are a regular customer but it’s seemingly a massive inconvenience for a soggy breakfast to be cooked a bit more or to just have your order taken.

This looks a very nice bar but their listed opening hours do not match reality. Came past today at 7pm to find it closed up and lights off, despite being advertised for a midnight close. Sadly I have encountered this before when trying to visit. It may be prudent to advertise the correct times. For visitors, I would suggest phoning in advance if planning a visit to avoid disappointment

Hands down, the best espresso martini in town. That I've had at least. It's also the most expensive one I've had in Aberdeen but oh, boy is it good. There's usually a better craft beer selection than what I saw available on this visit. I don't recall seeing any porters or stouts. Pretty good coffee, too if you're looking for locally roasted whole beans. Not as good as Figment and that ilk, but still pretty good. Better than Macbeans that's for sure! The decor is very cool, the food always looks amazing. Lots of baked goods to choose from as well. I've been here several times for a pint, a drink or a coffee - which they offer a variety of preparations including pour-over. Must come back and try the food sometime!

Terrible! I don't know about the food, we never got to try it. An hour wait for a BLT, beans on toast and a kids breakfast? My baby was starving and thank God I had a snack to give her. We wouldn't mind the wait if we had been treated differently. No one came up to us to let us know there would be a delay or they were short of staff or anything! We would have made other arrangements for the little one. Half-assed apology from staff with the personality of a baguette. No offer of a discount. When we finally gave up after an hour the food wasn't even nearly ready, otherwise I assume they would have told us to stay and we would have. We just paid for our cofee and left. It ruined our day out as we had to rush home for my girls nap which was overdue due to waiting so long. This was us giving you a second chance after the last time you tried to gaslight us into eating a charcoal burned pizza. Never again. No one seems to give a sh*t about costumers in this place.

A busy but relaxed place. Laid back. Good value for money. Nice for brunch, lunch, cocktails or a cosy dram.

Sinceramente me esperaba más de este lugar el ambiente me gustó como tal pero el servicio y la comida no me gustó para nada. Pedí tostadas francesas de tiramisu que solo eran tostadas francesas normales con pan muy seco y un café que eso si estaba bueno y pague £14. Pero para atenderme y darme el menú se tardaron alrededor de 25 minutos. Tuve que pararme para pedir la carta y ahí me atendieron.

I used to buy the bags of coffee from here and the coffee was good. Unfortunately the manager has decided to raise the price way too high and I won't be buying from them again. This is not a judgement on the cafe and the staff, but the manager needs to get a grip with the new cost. Sadly a customer has been lost to a cheaper rival.

We went in just after 12 (it was almost empty and there were two bartenders) and received a cheerful welcome from the lass behind the bar. “We’d just like 2 coffees please”. “Take a seat and I’ll be with you”. Seen a few negative review on here recently regarding the food etc. however we wanted to set the record straight regarding our own experience just the other day. Busy, scorching Sunday lunchtime, we wanted to try the some of the very reasonably priced brunch offers on the go and we were seriously impressed with the food quality. Pancakes were to die for, best we've ever had, and the bacon was top notch also, plenty of it (about 4-6 slices). The club sandwich was recommended by our server and she was totally right, the thing was colossal and generously packed with filling and flavour. We finished it off with a slice of carrot cake, which was near enough the size of a small house in BOD, tasted superb. Service was great and the beer was lovely. Would recommend to anyone for a decent scran, they do pizza to which is great.
