Friendly staff excellent food. So why no five stars. Unfortunately it's attached to a hotel and I found the receptionist quite rude not helpful in the slightest

Food was nice but bog standard clean tho and stunning place dissapointed the lady that served old with greyish hair was so rude didnt ask how we were or even offer any drinks her face was screwed up when i asked for drink i have bad anxiety and she made me feel rushed and akward so i didnt get to try costlaw or ask for it it was like we werent good enough for there bistro so dissapointed u could just tell we were good enough :(

Booked here for an afternoon tea for my daughter's hen do. Staff were very friendly and helpful and there was an ample supply of food with a very good selection. They were very aware of any food allergies and provided extra food specifically for the vegetarians in our party. We were allowed to stay for as long as we wanted and never felt like we had to leave .Overall, a very pleasant experience.

All right. Nice service, delicate food, but no flavour really. And no atmosphere. I had the beer battered haddock and a glass of white wine. Nice wine.

Part of the Douglas hotel. The food was good, big portions and professional staff. The price was ok considering other places we have visited in Scotland.

Clean and nice place for lunch. Portion sizes of macaroni abit on the small side. Penne pasta used for macaroni and could of had more cheese sauce through it? Chicken burger tasty but it was large for size of the bun? Home made apple crumble nice and cheese cake both very good.

Went to Mollys for a works leaving do.We had afternoon day it was brilliant, staff were so helpful and friendly. Food was anzing and catered for allergies. Plenty food to serve 11 and cocktails were lovely. Will def be revisiting .

Great lunch in comfortable surroundings with very friendly & attentive staff. Fish pie amazing ! Immaculate toilets. Will definitely be going back.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. However the next time I am in Aberdeen I will certainly return. Reasonably priced food and drinks considering the smoke portions we received. I can personally vouch for the Cullen Skunk which to my mind and palate, a masterpiece. Absolutely delightful. My only regret was that I should have ordered it for starter and main. The sesame chili chicken and vegetables with rice was also perfect. I was in awe of the fish pie which was served to my friend. Incredible. Not the usual pie slice scooped onto a plate. It came in a large bowl filled to the brim. All in all a great experience which in my opinion should be experienced by all. Congratulations to the chef.

We tried Molly's Bistro while staying at Douglas Hotel in Aberdeen and we were not disappointed. Molly's Bistro has a good menu with plenty of choices and we ended up with a decent pub meal. The fried haddock with chips and peas is what you would expect and hope for. The chicken tika masala was as good as any decent Indian restaurant quality. Good choices of ales and ciders on tap. Friendly and fast service from the staff. Oh yeah the dessert, apple crumble with custard is also recommended.

Delicious food, friendly atmosphere, great service. I highly recommend this place I enjoyed the decor, the music, the FOOD!

First time here with a friend. Bistro was clean, food was good - am a fussy Mac and cheese person but it got pass marks from me! Service was attentive and good. Thank you also for my birthday treat. Totally unexpected - loved it! Will be back - thank you.

Ate here before the overnight ferry. Couldn't understand why it was so empty when we went it, food was lovely. Staff were attentive and friendly and a plus was how great the music was! It's spotless and beautifully decorated. Not expensive either, would eat here again. We really were surprised it was so quiet in there.

If you want to discover the haggis, go to Molly's Bistrot, it's delicious! Restaurant with a good quality-price ratio and the staff is lovely

This was a chance happening. We were walking past and looked in and thought it looked lovely. Greeted by friendly staff member who showed us to our table. Lots going on and plenty of buzz. My daughter had vegetable lasagne and I had steak (well done - don't judge me!) with blue cheese sauce and chips. Two sticky toffee puddings to finish off. Very nice Argentinian malbec to accompany and a calypso coffee. Team were setting up for a large party that was coming in, but we did not feel rushed. Very nice. Will be back.

People arriving after me were accompanied to their tables and asked directly if they wanted any drinks. I patiently waited to be served, but I felt completely ignored. After 30 minutes, I stood up, went to tell to the supposedly person in charged that this was unacceptable. No apology whatsoever, so I decided to leave to have dinner elsewhere. Cannot comment about the food, but the service was appealing and directly inexistent.

Second visit after 5 months. Changing fron 3/5 to 1/5. Disaster

I came here on Saturday night. The food was delicious - I would recommend the steak & ale stew which is very tasty. The other half had the mussels which she said were great. The service was first class. The prices were very reasonable. The place was nice and clean. The atmosphere was really good. I will definitely come back again soon.

Long service d aperitif arrive en même que les plats bon pas grave deux plats sur 5 horrible et imangeable un riz fris à l ananas avez un gout de poisson très fort et les ribs sauce moutarde une viande avariée . Désolé mais nos avis sont partagés et nous conseillerons cette endroit à 50% en demandant bien qu'elle seront les gouts . Malgré tout le plats imangeable , ne nous as pas était facturé. Ordered chicken quesadillas. Very average food, cheese wasn’t even melted and was no flavour. Disappointing.

Food was average. I had the curry of the day, which was chicken tikka. No spice at all. It was decent but the Asian in me has higher expectations when it comes to curry. My colleague ordered a carbonara, which was highly recommended by the staff. But it was really disappointing. Service was good though. The staff was very friendly and patience.

I'll start with the good things - the ladies working at this place are really amazing, lovely and warm. I'm giving two stars just for them. The food itself is poor and bland. I've got a soup, which was not the worst actually, but with just one bun that I couldn't even cut in half. The other thing we've had is a burger, which came without a sauce??? Is that a common thing in Scotland or what? Because of the lack of sauce, the chicken was boring and dry. And they added one salad leaf to it. For the price you'd expect at least something special inside...

My parents and I were looking for traditional British food in town that wasn't either a Belhaven or Greene King pub (90% of Aberdeen city centre!) as we were sick of having the same menu everywhere you go. This was a great wee gem! With my parents as quite fussy eaters we were all able to have something we enjoyed, and our waitress informed us they could do half portions too. My mum doesn't eat very large portions now so that was a great thing for her. The waitress we had (young, brown hair) was really friendly and attentive. Overall had a lovely meal and would go again

I was staying in the Douglas hotel (unfortunately) so ate here. The food it self is fine and the portion sizes are very good, food comes out quick. The only issue is the billing you have to get up and pay at the entrance which apparently makes it easier for them? What I am the customer not only that but it holds up people coming into the restaurant. They really need to re think this and have people pay for their food at the table.

We had a delayed Christmas meal thanks to the hotel generously giving us a voucher for the full value paid in December 2021. This was our first visit but won't be our last. We had a delicious meal and everyone was really friendly.

First afternoon tea here. We went on a recommendation and I am very glad we did! Such a lovely, relaxing, afternoon. We had an amazing selection of freshly made sandwiches accompanied by some crisp salad. Next up were scones with a variety of different jams, butter and cream. Then some chocolate treats including dipped strawberries and mini eclairs. Finally some cute cheesecakes and milkshakes. All served with plenty of tea/coffee by friendly, helpful, staff who couldn’t do enough for us. That’s what I call a great afternoon!

I'd love to give more points here because staff was so very nice, helpful and welcoming! The place looks nice and service is fast. Our burgers however, cheese and veggie, were very dry without any sauce on them. With the veggie meat alternative, which is rather dry itself, that was especially challenging. We asked for Mayo and Ketchup to put on our burgers, that at least made them edible. The side vegtables were barely salted. The soup was really good though.

Although the service was delightful and the food inexpensive (due to restaurant week in Aberdeen) the food was slightly disappointing. I had the burger, nachos and apple crumble, and it was a bit of a let down. The place is in a nice location and the staff lovely (and I do usually only make an effort to leave positive reviews) however the food was disappointing.

Great afternoon tea with friends. Plenty to eat and drink.

A colleague booked afternoon tea for our group. We had seen mixed reports about the venue however we were not disappointed with the food. There was plenty of fresh sandwiches available. The scones were light and tasty, made more delightful with cream and jam....There were other delights including chocolate strawberries and individual tartlets. Plenty of choice and tasted good.

This is the restaurant in the Douglas hotel. Not the cheapest but good value and good service. Nice for pre theatre if going to the Tivoli. If we stay at the Douglas we eat in.

The restaurant is comfortable, with a pleasant ambience. The faciliteis were clean and more than adequate. The staff were friendly and efficient. The menu is limited and not cheap. At best, the food was very average.

Limited menu, but never disappointing

Group of 6 had a meal there and 2 had a refund due to unxceplable and disappointing portion size and badly cooked food. Had a plate of nachos with a very small portion of chilli and charged nearly £9. for a plate of crisps also the roast beef was all fat and very tough. Thought there would have been a Yorkshire pudding etc with the beef but once again dissatisfied at nearly £15. Very skimpy portion size and quality.

this Bistro is so nice, the staff were great and the fish and chips were some of the best i've tasted.
