The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Yorkshire and The Humber

We went to the catchpenny on the 21st of July for my wife's 60th birthday altogether there was 20 of us we all had a different variety of meals including Sunday roast fish&chips pie and mash some had starters as well and I have to say we weren't disappointed the food was lovely and the staff bless them couldn't do enough for us all I had taken some banners and balloons in prior to us arriving and they had decorated the part of the room where we were all sat. Comida deliciosa - todo hecho en casa y muy sabroso. El personal es encantador y amable. Ambiente encantador. Un perfecto café familiar. He estado muchas veces y siempre es excelente.

called in to buy house plants but couldn't find any. so decided to stay for lunch. Big mistake. A simple order for a toasted sandwich took 29 minutes to arrive and even then they had forgotten to add the relish. when asked about this we were curtly asked to prove we had ordered it (it was on the receipt!) The salad was a finely chopped mess, with tiny pieces of everything including limp lettuce with curled brown edges. We haven't been there for many years and won't be going again.

Visited about 11ish. Found a couple of seats immediately. Service was fast and efficient. Drinks were hot and toastie was very good. Excellent visit.

Hermana reservó nuestra comida del sábado por la noche en el Highlander Bar en la Explanada en Scarborough para nuestro grupo de seis. Cuando aparecimos no sabíamos qué esperar. Era un ambiente de Pub real, no hay problema y había habido una fiesta de cumpleaños, así que era un poco animado, pero un par de mesas se habían reservado para nosotros, así que nos sentamos y conseguimos las bebidas clasificadas. Tres de nosotros teníamos Scampi, Chips y Guisantes (Jardín o Mushy) Uno tenía hígado estofado y cebollas con puré de patatas, Uno tenía carne y pastel de patatas con judías verdes, zanahorias, guisantes de jardín y patatas fritas y finalmente uno tenía pescado y patatas fritas con Mushy Peas. Comida : - Todos los entrantes que tuvimos fueron excelentes y decentes porciones 10 / 10 Los scampi mains se cocinaron perfectamente con excelentes papas fritas y buenas porciones de guisantes o guisantes mushy 10 / 10 Pescado y patatas fritas y guisantes, de nuevo cocinados a la perfección 10 / 10 Pastel de carne y patata, patatas fritas y guisantes de jardín muy bueno, pero la carne en el pastel estaba ligeramente seco alrededor del borde cortado, pero todavía muy sabroso 9 / 10 ¿Volvería, por supuesto? Was a very warm welcome by staff. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Sunday lunch was gorgeous and so was the sticky toffee pudding! Nice atmosphere

Hubby & I went for a hangover cure breakfast it definitely worked!! A good hearty full English breakfast, nice thick toast and a lovely cuppa coffee! Quick service and service with a smile. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for great food and atmosphere

Seems like the prices have risen over the last couple of years. £16 for 2 bacon sarnies and 2 coffees. I also think toilets do need sorting and agree with others comments about this.

Afternoon Tea , yo mismo un cinco amigos Aqua fit visitó para una reunión, recomendaría encarecidamente este lugar. Los pequeños extras eran increíbles. Dejado para charlar y no apresurado hizo toda la diferencia.

Buena selección de desayunos, no es un amante del aguacate, así que lo encuentro irritante en los huevos Benedict pero el personal amable y encantado de hacer una enmienda. El servicio era mezcla de mesa e ir a bar (café traído a la mesa pero azúcar en barra si es necesario) y sí pusieron calefacción a las 9 : 30 👍Tenía hachís chorizo y feta era precioso, amigo tenía tortitas y realmente disfrutaba. Puede hacer una taza de té decente😁

I don’t normally write reviews but I just love this little cafe so much that I feel the need to share my experiences. The breakfasts here are honestly the nicest that I have tasted anywhere. I actually drive all the way from nr Saltburn to visit, takes me over an hour. I do eat meat but frequently have the vegetarian breakfast. Beautifully cooked poached eggs, really tasty seeded toast, avocado, halloumi, beans, everything tastes really fresh. Their coffee is really special too. The staff are always really friendly, cheerful and attentive even when they are really busy. I hear them chatting to their customers as they are whizzing about, they obviously have lots of regulars and you can just tell that they really care and genuinely enjoy what they do. I have a dog and they are really dog friendly. I have a little campervan and Boroughbridge is an excellent stopover place. You can park at the back of the main carpark overnight for a £5 donation. Lovely walk down the river, breakfast at PLENTY, have a little potter round the shops, few pubs to choose from. It really is one of my favourite little stops.
