I have been going to the potting shed for years and have always loved the food , but today when I ordered lasagna it was so small and in a tiny dish , I understand cutting back but it was the smallest lasagna I’ve every had .

Can't recommend more highly for the capucinno... The milk was properly velvetted and lasted throughout the drink. This is rare to find. We had a second cup it was so good. Excellent. One of us had a lovely battered fish which they were happy to serve without chips, they reduced the cost. I think it was cod with the skin. This was also good to find and I will have it myself next time with a side salad. Can't recommend more highly for the coffee. What a great enexpected chance find after a hospital visit (we don't know the place)

Terrible breakfast. Everything was cold and when asked for it to be warmed up we was given an eye roll by a sulky waitress then the chef banging about because of it in the kitchen. Honestly my 9 year old has more respect than that. Customer service definitely leaves something to be desired. Will not be returning

Always great food here and the staff are very helpful and polite. I am vegetarian so don't usually get the chance to join my brother and fella at carveries, whereas the nut roast here is delicious and very filling. The veg are always perfectly done and the chef is a lovely guy, always chatty and kind. My brother and fella said that the beef they had with their meals was 'fantastic' and 'spot on'.

Usually go on a Friday for fish and chips which is lovely. Went on a Saturday with a different chef on and the fish and batter was undercooked underneath. Complained but chef said they were cooked properly. Offered to re-cook it for us but we didn't fancy it after that. No refund offered instead or much of an apology.

We had 3 different main courses, spam fritter and chips, 3 cheese Pattie with chips, chicken goujons with sweet potato fries and salad garnish, all with peas. 3 soft drinks. The vegetarian in our party was blown away by the cheese Pattie, the chicken goujons came with lemon mayonnaise which was delicious and the spam fritters I’m told were delicious. Excellent size portions so no room for dessert. All served by staff who seem genuinely happy to be there.

Unfortunately have to agree with another reviewer, breakfast items are not suited to being kept warm for any length of time. I should have realised when there was quite a wait at the drinks counter and nobody used the breakfast counter in that time. By the time I did, the sausage and bacon were dried out, mushrooms cold and swimming in water, black pudding dry, egg tough in the bottom and yucky on the top. Huge pile of half empty bread wrappers making it difficult to find a slice suitable for toasting. Maybe their other meals are better but I won’t be going back to find out unfortunately, very disappointed.

Myself and my partner thought we would try the Potting Shed for a spot of lunch, the lunch itself was well presented and very tasty, however I did feel quite nauseous after as I spotted the chef go outside to talk to a customer and then petting the customers dog after which he returned to the kitchen and WITHOUT washing his hands picked up utensils and continued cooking , how is this allowed to happen its basic food hygiene , I then also spotted another chef that appeared to be chewing gum unfortunately this has put me off returning which is a real shame as the food was great and other food coming out if the kitchen looked equally as good

The refurbished look is brilliant and has improved the experience whilst keeping the high food standards. I’ve read some of the recent reviews and it looks like there are some people who just don’t appreciate that this is a well priced place that presents freshly prepared food which is always top notch. I’d suggest that they go elsewhere so the rest of us can eat our meals in peace without listening to their whining. As for the COVID compliance - we’ve visited a few times and there are plenty of signs and facilities so I can only imagine that those complaining ought to open their eyes and they might grasp the concept. My only gripe would be that they run out of pie sometimes due to how popular it is. Overall this is probably the most reasonably priced place to eat for the quality of food you get - keep up the good work.

Went for lunch and the place was packed to the rafters. No one was asking us to sanitize our hands and no one way system. No spaces between tables and ALL tables had people sitting at them. No social distancing at all and very little cleaning if tables. Food was slow coming out but that could just be the fact that they were full to capacity. Food was lukewarm and not as good as previous visits. Think we will give the place a miss for a while.

To which she replied Chefs getting everything out as fast as he can I’ll go see! A few minutes later she marched over with our fish n chips, no apology, no nothing & dumped them both on the table & walked off!!!! I absolutely love this place but I’m afraid one certain member of staff spoils it with her bad attitude & short temper Everyone & everything else is absolutely perfect & would give it a 10/10I don’t mind waiting for my meal if I’m forewarned I have the choice to wait for 45 minutes or not ♀️ But I don’t like rude staffAbsolutely no need for it & I certainly wasn’t rude to her!!!!!Compliments to the chef the fish n chips was outstanding!!!!!Will I be back………not sure

Have been a regular since calling in early summer for a breakfast. They used to be excellent, clearly freshly prepared and cooked through the summer period. However, the last four visits have revealed a rapidly falling standard. Breakfasts appear almost immediately, not enough time to cook fresh. Have clearly been under a heat lamp or in warming oven. Bacon dried out, eggs hard, skin over baked beans and a "tide mark" on the plate where tomato juice had evaporated. After rejecting them another member of staff returned with them like they were now acceptable from her. This has been a rapid deterioration over the last four visits. We wont be visiting again, and we certainly can't recommend the breakfasts currently. Very poor, and at least one member of staff quite arrogant in thinking this is acceptable. Cannot recommend.

Food is nice and the service is fine, but asking to modify an item on the menu leads to civic culinary meltdown!Ok, sometimes you can't always get what you want. What about removing an item off a dish on the menu to 'create' what you want?Something like leaving the bread off a Ham sandwich. IMPOSSIBLE! Chef simply cannot do this!Pay for a side of coleslaw?IMPOSSIBLE! My till may explode at the same time as chefs forehead blood vessel!I know chefs being artistic types could be understandably resistive to diners fiddling with their works of art. We visited Out of the Blue Bistro for lunch on carvery Wednesday. The food was absolutely fantastic...just like a home cooked roast. The female chef was very obliging, chatty and friendly and the place has a tremendous homely feeling. We would recommend and will definitely return.

Eat here often and is usually worth a visit. This time I had the cavery which is served by a very friendly chef who always has time for a chat. The food is good, although occassionally the gammon can be salty, Usually it is turkey, gammon and beef and yorkshire pudd. you can help yourself to stuffing and vegies. The breakfast is also good, lovely meaty sausages, bacon, mushrooms, hash browns or fried bread, tomatoes, baked beans and egg, before 11am it comes with tea or coffee.Fish and chips are usually fresh and tasty and they do fish and chip specials, I believe on Tuesday which include a drink and bread and butter. The prawn sandwiches with curly fries come with salad and separate pot of sauce so that you can add it yourself to the sandwiches. The staff are speedy and generally friendly.

Visited the Garden Centre and Called into this Café Style Eatery was Fairly Busy and seemed Popular. Once it got to around 11.45am the place was awash with people mainly 60+ going up for the cavery that obviously was popular and I must say looked great. Didn't get to look at the price as there wasn't a menu on our table & didn't like bothering other tables for there Menu. The Chef behind the counter on listening to him seemed to know his customer base & was willing to have a little light banter & chat with all. The breakfast looked decent too so although we cant comment on the food quality as of yet we will be returning to try this place out. I didn't hear any negative things about what the customers were eating so all must be good.

Quite a reasonable sized party of us have just been for afternoon tea and for the price of £6.70, some of us were not too happy. The service was good, but to receive a third of a custard slice and the same with the carrot cake, and then to have to cut it into half to share it was, well quite unbelievable. My teeny tiny tuna sandwich had a hole in it where the margarine knife had obviously slipped with a huge amount of pale margarine the size of my thumb nail showing through. Ooooh not nice. thank goodness that the company I was with made up for my visit here!!!! When I made an observation about this to the lady at the till, I was told "Don't complain to me, complain to the chef, and she's gone home you will have to come back tomorrow!!"

Always great food, their Fish and Chips is the best in the area, always fresh, the cheff and staff are great ( good banter ) and their carvery is lovely, My only gripe is the chairs, get the wrong one and it's not comfortable, but have to say the food is worth it... good for families esp at christmas when they do lovely tea's with santa , one of our favourite's

Stayed up up after a nightshift on the recommendation that this place was good for a breakfast. Between 9-11 it's only 5 pounds for 2 sausage, 2 bacon, beans, tinned toms, mushrooms, egg, toast, tea/coffee and a choice of fried bread or hash brown's.Couldn't really comment on the atmosphere as we were first in at 9am.Carvery sounded good to, and they had a good selection of wines and bottled beers at very reasonable prices too.Thoroughly recommend

I have enjoyed some lovely Sunday carveries in the heart of the Aldords Garden centre, and the Bistro has given a really nice touch , not the cheapest, but enjoyed it.

Have eaten here a couple of times now and it's always been a good experience. The Wednesday lunchtime carvery is great at £5.99, choice of 3 meats today, 2 types of potatoes and 3 veg. We arrived at 12.30pm and the car park was virtually full as was the restaurant. Served quickly though and enjoyed our meal in nice surroundings.

This garden centre based café is a little gem, it pulls in a mixed crowd for a day-time meal or tea stop. The restaurant is reached through the retail gift and furniture area of the well stocked garden centre and housed in a separate building. The café itself is a destination in its own right and rewards a journey from the local area. The large room has modern patio style mosaic tiled tables well spaced and with decorative items from the centre liberally spread on the walls. The menu boards are behind the ordering counter where helpful staff take your orders, which are all freshly made. On some days a carvery is offered, our favorite is local Fish & Chips, well cooked and good value. There is some outside seating, a large car park and access is straight forward, being on a major road out of Grimsby, just ask for directions to Morrisons Supermarket opposite.

A full cooked breakfast is served from 10am until 11am for £5, including a slice of toast & tea or coffee, comprising bacon, sausages, mushrooms, fried egg, baked beans, (tinned) tomatoes & your choice of fried bread or hash browns. Not a massive fan of tinned tomatoes & the sausages were a little too spicy for my taste but this was an excellent value breakfast, although I could have done with a mug rather than a little cup of coffee! ;-)The slice of toast is worthy of particular mention - perfectly toasted & an excellent slice of bread. No idea of the supplier but it was probably the best component.Lunches are also served & I may well give those a try on a future occasion. Well recommended.

Great lively place great music BUT oh dear me the bar staff need re training. The are two bars and lots of people waiting to be served you cannot just serve the person stood in front of you or just walk away into the other bar. Any bar staff worth their salt know who is next or who has been stood the longest. Surely the manager allocated certain staff for each bar. Although it was New Years Eve it wasn’t particularly busy.

A fairly short review… They do an amazing caramel hot chocolate and the breakfast rolls were spot on! Dog friendly and very friendly staff. Plenty of choices for both food & drink.

In all my years as a member of trip advisor, this is the worst meal we've ever been served. The waitress appeared to be one of the owners and acted as if we didn't matter in her day. Ordered the fish and chips, which was more like corn pone with a piece of cod wedged in. Taste was horrible, presentation was worse. Ate one piece and gave up. Planned on a piece of gingerbread but was afraid to attempt a second serving of the food here. There are excellent restaurants in the Florence/Mapleton Oregon area, unfortunately this is not one. Avoid.

I’ve had a bad experience twice the first one I asked for 2 large sausage bun and the only 2 sausages in so it basically just bread. This time I asked for 2 sausage buns one with brown sauce one plaine just with sausage and they gave me 2 sausage and bacon with nothing on it’s like they made there own don’t go here.

Lovely snug pub on Cleethorpes Sea Front with lovely staff and punters. Even has pool tables and one of those mobile-controlled Jukeboxes. Shame it's so expensive! Over a fiver for a pint of Madri! Go one bar down to Willy's and you can get a pint of Becks for just over £4 or one of their local brews, or go up to the Fisherman's on Sea View Street and get a pint of local Docks Beers for the same price. Explains why the place is so empty during the week. I get the pub trade is struggling but as a Marston's pub you'd expect it to be a bit cheaper - it's Cleethorpes, not Brighton!
