Ordered the bbq piza. After biting in to it found it had tomato which I can not eat.mouth sore and swollen. Spoke to Claire a member of staff. As to why it states bbq not tomato and was told they can't give out allergy info or tell me what's on or in the food. ! That set a red flag off she spoke to her manager who said all pizas made there was tomato base. And agreed it didn't state it in the menu. YET no apology for food I ordered and had a reaction to and couldn't eat due to them not allowed to give me the advise information for alleges in the food.

The room was a really good size with comfy bed, great rain shower & all the extras you need or want - iron, ironing board, hot chocolate, coffee, bottled water, all for a very reasonable price and we didnt hear much noise at all. Would deffo recommend staying. The food was well priced, served hot & quickly at a great price. The only fault was that the hotel door / disabled access door was broken so it wouldn't open automatically when you pushed the button & it was very heavy & stiff to open.

Me and my partner stayed in one of the rooms here over the weekend and it was lovely. Spacious room and bathroom with large shower (big enough for two.) Good size TV mounted on the wall and a comfortable bed. Kettle, milk, sugar, tea & coffee were also provided in the room with some little biscuits. We was on the third floor so didn't hear any noise from below and it's literally opposite town center so you have shops & food places nearby. My only issue was the feather pillows - so annoying and kept waking up with neck ache. All in all, for £56 a night, it was a bargain!

The hotel is amazing the rooms are spacious and immaculate However !!! The door staff on the weekend are disgusting We have issues with the same two door staff every time we stay, this time the accused my partner of being asleep when he was not I had just gone the bar and was ordering a drink The male bouncer said to my partner you need to leave you have been seen asleep to which he replied I don’t think so and I’m a guest the bouncer replied well go to your room then my partner reiterated that he was not asleep . The male bouncer then radioed the female bouncer who said to me “ his eyes were closed but it’s ok now he is awake “ ehhhhhh he was talking to me how can he have been asleep they the proceeded to walk away We have had issues with these staff before and some of the bar staff are questionable when I complained they said the door staff can do what they want !!! They are bullies who think they are police and can throw anyone out just because it’s funny and their language at the door is disgusting

I stayed at the hotel with my family. We were in Grimsby for a family funeral. There was 15 people all eating, drinking and staying at the hotel. Admittedly the was one person in our party that had a bit to much to drink. It was around 8.30pm when we were told none of us would be served any more to drink because of that one person. He had done nothing wrong and was just sitting with everyone else. But because he was drunk the other 14 people were refused service. I went up to my room with my partner and daughter taking food up with us. I came back down with the plates 90 mins later and ordered a drink ( bearing in mind I had only had 4 drinks all day ). He gave me the drink then asked was I with the party that had been in the back room. I replied I was and his attitude towards me totally changed. He told me if he had known I would never have been served. It was like I was being told off by someone half my age. I would not recommend this bar or hotel to anyone that is in a party more than 3-4 people or if you would like to have more than 3-4 drinks.

Ok for a quick break. We originally wanted a break to Cleethopes as we don't drive and wanted somewhere quick and easy to get to via train. The Yarmouth came up as an alternative. Never stayed in a Weatherspoons Hotel so it was a first. On arrival you litterally walk out of the train station into the reception area. However it is completely engulfed in scaffolding. We were allocated room 221 on the second floor. Outside both windows were scaffolding and workmen walking back and forth doing their job, ffing and jeffing. This didn't bother us too much but to others it may be offensive and not welcomed. They start work at around 9am so if your're not an early riser again this may be unwelcome. The room on the whole was clean and well equipped (although no little fridge) shower was great, bed not so much. I am only 4ft9 and it was quite high up with an ultra, ultra firm mattress. The pillows were feather and I was forever being stabbed in the side of the face from the quills. Again if other are used to ultra firm and feathers that's great. The hotel doesn't have a seperate storrage area for luguage, so if you are travelling by public transport bear this in mind. We had to tow our luguage round with us until out train was due. Stones throw away to the town centre. All in all a nice stay.

Grimbsy has to be the party capital in England. This hotel is set within a wetherspoons pub, and by is it a huge pub. We stayed at the weekend so it was super bust and super loud. Parking is limited so bear this in mind. Situated in the middle of Grimbsy Town with a club and a music bar either side of it with Grimbsy Station at the back. If you want a quite room ask for a top floor and ask to be backed on to the station side. We booked in with a friendly receptionist who was very helpful. Access by lift or stairs but both require a key. We had room 333. You get fantastic value for money here. Lots of room. Three windows, huge television. Hair dryer, water, biscuits tea and coffee. Huge shower room. Huge bed which was very comfortable. There is no getting away from the noise but it's not too bad. Booking direct saves you even more money. Came today for a burger and drink stop off.. they didn't have the burger I wanted so was passed onto a chicken club menu.. I ordered pulled chicken bun with honey maple sauce.. got my koppaberg as part of the deal and sat down.. after only a short time my meal was brought to me.. I lifted the lid to the burger to find thinly sliced chicken breast covered with a minimal amount of sauce.. I quickly got the bar tender to take it back to the kitchen.. after a good 8 mins my next plate was brought to me. This was again chicken breast covered in sauce. This time the chips were hot and pot of sauce was present on the plate.. I ate the meal which was actually nice.. alas when the boy bartender came to clear my plate I informed him of the issue for him to argue with me that it was in fact pulled chicken.. even after I told him I wasn't looking for a refund just a explanation about why I had been sold a inferior product..not a happy customer today..if you would like I can give you a recipe or More to help you with pulled chicken..don't encourage your staff to make out I'm in the wrong

Stayed here on the 30th November, travelled down from Middlesbrough for a family member's 50th birthday. The room was okay to begin with, nice and clean and the bathroom (shower especially) was incredible. It was ice cold when we first entered the room and took us quite a while to figure out how to get the air con off freezing cold. Went to our party then returned sometime after midnight. We entered the room to what can only be described as it smelling like someone having left a poo in the toilet. Obviously I checked the bathroom and nothing. We decided to try to sleep through it but I woke up several times during the night - the worst sleep I've ever had in a hotel (we've stayed here before and I've always slept soundly). The very strong smell of poo in the room caused a very restless night. In the morning the smell was still there - we figured it must have been when we turned the heating on and the smell was coming from the vents. We went to check out and I had the intention of telling the receptionist about the issue with the room, if only to prevent a guest being checked into the room that day and having the same experience. However, I waited at the empty desk and a bartender from the Wetherspoons bar rushed over, asked for my room number and then rushed back to the bar - apparently that was the check out - no ask how the stay was, nothing. Very disappointed that we had such an awful stay when we were previously very keen on staying here.

However, I was quite disappointed to receive an almost cold jacket potato with cheese that hadn't melted at all and had clearly been cooked in a microwave. I took it back and asked for it to be heated through. The waitress at the bar was very sullen, never smiled and seemed fed up. We were unable to eat together as by the time my second jacket potato arrived my husband had almost finished his meal. All that said, as usual the food once sorted, was really nice. as with any wetherspoons it could be good or bad or a mixture of the two. its amazing how two different wetherspoons venues within a few miles of each other can have such a different feel to them. one in cleethorpes which has a really nice vibe and atmosphere as oppose to the grimsby venue which has a darker less attractive appeal to it. however we took our life into our hands as it was convenient for us. as i expected the place was rammed full of drinkers experiencing the cheap booze. we managed to find a table in a back room of the pub. it was actually a nice room. its a really nice old building as wetherspoons tend to be. but the atmosphere is intimidating. however, we ordered our food and when it arrived it looked nice, which was a good start. as i said you actually never know what you are going to get. the young lady who delivered our food ( i wont say served because this would be a lie) was not in the slightest bit interested and it was all but thrown at us. it was amazing how she managed to throw two plates of food onto the table without breaking stride and managed to keep most of the food on the plates. i say most. i had to retrieve several chips from off the table and my wifes salad arrived like a frisbee skidding across the table. all with out looking at us and without a word or a smile. Welcome to wetherspoons!!!! the food was nice. we had the honour of having another young lady clear our table. she was obvioulsy a very polite girl. as she was talking and laughing with other customers. she almost looked at us as she cleared our table but i think this was coincidental as we where just in her eye line as she chatted away with the other people whilst reaching across our table to retrieve our plates. at one point almost taking my wifes phone out of her hand. no smile (for us) and no inquiry as to our enjoyment of the meal. my wife tells me the young lady that took our money on the till was very nice. but as for the two ladies that dealt with us at the table it all seemed a bit of an effort. i dont think i can add any more to that. accept i saw an old friend enjoying a saturday afternoon pint. so all was not lost :)

A typical Wetherspoons pub, offering decent value on food and drink. Probably best to stick with the burgers, pies and fish and chips. These are done best. Other more creative options are less successful.

Was served by a lady called gemma she was very welcoming fast and friendly i noticed she served alot of people and was helping other staff memebers i was quite shocked to find out she wasnt the manager as she seemed to do everything and keep the customers happy i think this lady needs a payrise or to be manager as she was the only one who was working and keeping everyone afloat. She made sure we was looked after and was always on the go. Polite helpful honest and caring not like other staff members ive come across they look like they have been slapped across there face gemma is the only one who smiles. Food was ok could of done woth more chips as portion sizes was abit small for price. Will only be going again if i get served by gemma

We stayed here for 1 night only and could have stayed longer. The room and the bed were huge as was the bathroom, amazing. We were on the 2nd floor which had a few ups and downs and short corridors but we found our room. The food as always in Wetherspoons was good, we stayed for breakfast as well. It was busy for both meals but we managed to get a good seat. Would certainly come and stay here again. Staff very friendly.

Ive always liked the beer and service at the Yarborough but the food has usually left much to be desired. Me and my wife found ourselves in Grimsby’s town centre at lunch time recently and after a long absence decided to give the Yarborough another try. It was very busy with the lively atmosphere of customers having a good time.As always, the beer was excellent and very reasonably priced. We both chose king prawns, nachos and spicy chicken wings from their 3 small meals for £10.00 menu. Considering how busy it was they arrived remarkably quickly. All the dishes were well presented, piping hot and very tasty. We didn’t expect haute cuisine for £10.00, but it was certainly one of the best meals we’ve enjoyed at a bargain price. Service was efficient and friendly. We enjoyed a second visit a few weeks later just as much. Well done!

We stopped off at the Yarborough for a Wetherspoons Breakfast. Lovely old historic building that is also a Wetherspoons hotel.

Whilst the Yarborough has a lot of space for diners so you dont quite feel on top of each other, it is nothing special. The staff are friendly enough, the food and drink is good value for money.

We arrived around 2-30 on a Saturday afternoon.Brother in law was served fairly quick, considering only 2 staff serving. When the seven of us went for lagers and a bitter,we disappointingly recieved our drinks in PLASTIC (Perspex) glasses ??? The carling had no head at all and resembled a pint of lucozade. The bitter was ok.however the carling had no life in it and was flat as soon as it was poured.A comment to the staff produced no response other than "Grimsby Town have a match today"....... Amazing , considering they play in Cleethorpes approx 3-4 miles away from your premises.Reluctantly we all looked for a table with our flat, headless lagers in hand. The area towards Bethlehem St was packed with tables containing empty plates,or tables with people and their numerous suitcases and pushchairs, restricting any hope of finding a seat.Such a shame as this used to be a decent pint at a competative price.Flat and headless lager is NOT for us,we will go elsewhere for a while and purchase a decent pint with a head and Gas (life) in it served in a glass made of GLASS !

For some reason there are far right UKIP supporting beer mats in the bar. Absolutely incredible that a pub chain would leave Xenophobic material in the first place many visitors attend. Won't be going here again.
