Another good witherspoons pub. Food and service were very good.

Rooms good, it's a Wetherspoons but so hard to get served at the bar! Waited 10 minutes then we left, and we were booked in as guests. No parking but it is town centre. Had room 6, lovely room and view but a sewage kind of smell brought it down, was in the corridor too. Would stay elsewhere next time.

Rooms are above the pub and a little difficult to navigate Not the very good service TV in room doesn't work nobody answers the phone at reception very difficult to get anyone to check in not sure if the heating in the room works either

Staff are lovely and the rooms are amazing! Massive beds, a nice shower or a shower and a bath if you get an upgrade. Can't fault.

Curry night very good would recommend giving it a go.

Fantastic pub with a brilliant real ale choice and constantly changing ales, fabulous staff specially Gemma who is always welcoming and has a smile for everyone. Highly recommended and definitely not to miss for real ale lovers.

beer is okay but one member of staff was very rude. I was on a YouTube live stream and apparently I'm not allowed to be yet other people were using their phones for video calls and that was okay? Make that make sense.

I found a brown trout in my pint . Very disappointed. The lady behind the bar so gruesome it made my mushroom shrink into my belly. Very rude.

A bustling yet beautiful hotel ! Wonderful staff in the bar , very informal and welcoming . Always space and lovely customers , great food and comfy furniture. It's a throwback to happy times . The rooms are stunning . Large with views across town . I particularly liked the wonderful corridor photographs on a grand scale , of local landmarks and lighthouses of the east coast . Great history . Fantastic place ! 😊

Excellent hotel right on Grimsby railway station. Loved our top floor room, spacious and large bed.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere, cheap drinks and cheap food, smart and polite staff and service, what is there more to ask for? Right next to the train station and public transport, definitely a good reason to pop in and have something to eat and drink.

Great pub, great service, fantastic prices on Cask Ales less than £1.80 for a pint of Greene King P.A. The food is good, but I did not eat this time. Lots of seating inside and out. Definitely kid friendly and suitable for families. Some great food and drink deals between 2 pm and 5 pm. A few yards from the railway station and not too far from the bus stop back to Barton

The best meal I've ever had at a wetherspoons and I've eaten at a lot of them. Absolutely amazing staff and food was excellent. First time staying at a wetherspoons hotel. Decent!

Went for breakfast early doors, staff was polite breakfast came hot and nicely cooked. No complaints from here at 7.30am

Came out with a group of 10 tonight, out of 10, 1 ID got scanned because the ID didn’t appear to verify as real which is absolutely stupid, fair enough if the guy is just doing his job but using a machine that isn’t 100% accurate is pretty stupid, anyways we all got kicked out. Not to forget I showed the guy my passport picture but still not enough evidence :( kind of ruined the night.

Nice place to get breakfast, when popping into town. The service is always first class and the staff are always helpful.

Was in Grimsby for the day and needed a quick bite to eat. Good location and fast service at the bar to order food and brought to table quickly and food was very tasty and great value for money.

Went to this establishment on a Friday eveing we order steak unfortunately one of our steak came out still pulsing and mooing it was as raw as an un cracked egg luckily they made a new one which eas cooked and 2 free pints thanks

We didn't stay at the Yarborough Hotel but we did go in to enjoy the most delicious full English breakfast 😋 The surroundings were like being in a beautiful country house and the staff were amazing. So kind and helpful and very much appreciated. Thank you to everyone 😍

Came in for food and a few drinks and picky bites with some friends and was met with excellent service, plates and such were cleared quickly. Bar staff were polite. Especially a young bartender by the name Ruby. She served drinks quickly and was extremely friendly. Overall, it really made the difference on my night.

Whilst eating dinner, two pints of Guinness arrived that we didn’t order (or duplicate as were drinking Guinness. 20mins later when we did actually order Guinness they trained to palm off the two pints that had been sitting in the bar. Took them back…was ignored for 5mins whilst staff chatted and did paperwork…and when one finally honoured me with their presence, she huffed and begrudgingly poured two new pints.

We went to The Yarborough Hotel 🛏️🏨 last Thursday and the meals were cold and none of the staff came to ask if the meals were ok

Stayed the night in Room 105 so a bit noisy with a delivery but the room was large and bed very comphy. The pub was really packed but able to get served fine

We had drinks here & a lot cheaper than most wetherspoons. Staff very pleasant.

Nice spoons, just beside the station so idea for a few days away. While some say Grimsby isn't the best place, I thought it wasnt bad and this spoons is in the centre of the town.

Called here for a meal four of us very poor quality of food ordered 4 different meals tikka masala ok gourmet burgers X2 burgers were absolutely rubbish sirloin steak came with chips no salad or veg steak was all gristle won't be wasting money in here again

Not bad but cover from blanket was too big and temperature in a room was impossible to regulate.the rest was absolutely fine

We got there saturday night was so busy we ordered online at our table the food come with meal and alcohol drink X2 not even £25 . It was fast service and we was shocked how quick they got the meal out to us. They were all busy and made it look easy. The atmosphere was good and it the food was ok edible and exactly what you expected when you pay low costs. We enjoyed it

Ordered the bbq piza. After biting in to it found it had tomato which I can not eat.mouth sore and swollen. Spoke to Claire a member of staff. As to why it states bbq not tomato and was told they can't give out allergy info or tell me what's on or in the food. ! That set a red flag off she spoke to her manager who said all pizas made there was tomato base. And agreed it didn't state it in the menu. YET no apology for food I ordered and had a reaction to and couldn't eat due to them not allowed to give me the advise information for alleges in the food.

Split level bar area, usual wethspoons drinks and food and regular spoons prices. Nice atmosphere with mature customers during the day time. Located right outside Grimsby Town railway station so easy to find and the town centre is just over the road.

Stopped in Grimsby walked to this wetherspoons from the premier Inn hotel what a nightmare one young lad serving behind the bar ordered Bateman's xxx but he had trouble with the pump he got all stressed out and went off never said where or what he was going to do 2mins later came back with my pint on the next visit to the bar I ordered the same pint but I stud waiting while the lad served other customers waiting and waiting but still he never brought my pint I asked him about it and he went off on one very rude never explained what was going on then a young lady brought my pint I said to the lad is that my pint he just pushed it towards me and that was that why on earth is there only one young lad serving 😖😖😖😖. The only good thing was the breakfast 😋😋😋😋😋

It's close to the Train station. Met family there. For a Wetherspoons it was clean and being tidied up regularly

Huge room - top floor but had a lift - very comfy bed and lovely walk in shower. Great location right outside the train station

We stayed for 1 night & ate 2 meals. The room was a really good size with comfy bed, great rain shower & all the extras you need or want - iron, ironing board, hot chocolate, coffee, bottled water, all for a very reasonable price and we didnt hear much noise at all. Would deffo recommend staying. The food was well priced, served hot & quickly at a great price. The only fault was that the hotel door / disabled access door was broken so it wouldn't open automatically when you pushed the button & it was very heavy & stiff to open.

What happened to the staff everyone is extremely rude leave you to wait at the bar for a very long time I was the only one stood there today had to walk out and go somewhere eles not like it use to be won’t be coming back

The staff are just so disinterested and surly. I’ve just been served by a young guy he walked up and ‘pointed’ at me, poured my drink, put it down without a word. It’s a McDonalds of the pub world.

Did not expect the rooms to be that nice! Big clean bathrooms, decent heating. The beds are really firm tho and the pillows are a bit thin. Otherwise, being right across the street from the station is very nifty.

Absolutely perfect for how much you pay

Visited Wetherspoons for a lunch meal with my partner. Ordered via QR code at the table that was available. Fast service wasn't waiting long. The place was busy. Food was very nice and a cheeky cocktail for after was delicious. Price was reasonable but wish I had stayed longer.. hopefully we be back soon. Love the hot drink offer.. I have visited once before around 8 years ago and still seems the same. Same atmosphere and a nice relaxed afternoon.

Not actually stayed here but had occassion to be in Grimsby and called in for breakfast ...Great staff and lovely food ..miles better than my local spoons .. Defo call again when I'm vack in,town

Me and my partner stayed in one of the rooms here over the weekend and it was lovely. Spacious room and bathroom with large shower (big enough for two.) Good size TV mounted on the wall and a comfortable bed. Kettle, milk, sugar, tea & coffee were also provided in the room with some little biscuits. We was on the third floor so didn't hear any noise from below and it's literally opposite town center so you have shops & food places nearby. My only issue was the feather pillows - so annoying and kept waking up with neck ache. All in all, for £56 a night, it was a bargain!

Plenty of space, a big old building indeed. Friendly staff and quick service - he was a popular bloke that Yarborough wasn't he! Charles Anderson-Pelham, 1st Earl of Yarborough actually died on his yatch at Vigo in Spain... The family name and hereditary peerage still remain...

The hotel is amazing the rooms are spacious and immaculate However !!! The door staff on the weekend are disgusting We have issues with the same two door staff every time we stay, this time the accused my partner of being asleep when he was not I had just gone the bar and was ordering a drink The male bouncer said to my partner you need to leave you have been seen asleep to which he replied I don’t think so and I’m a guest the bouncer replied well go to your room then my partner reiterated that he was not asleep . The male bouncer then radioed the female bouncer who said to me “ his eyes were closed but it’s ok now he is awake “ ehhhhhh he was talking to me how can he have been asleep they the proceeded to walk away We have had issues with these staff before and some of the bar staff are questionable when I complained they said the door staff can do what they want !!! They are bullies who think they are police and can throw anyone out just because it’s funny and their language at the door is disgusting

We stayed here for one night and had an excellent evening meal. The hotel room was comfy, warm and spacious. The staff and Dani the manager were brilliant going above and beyond to be helpful. We are an elderly couple who were treated and looked after exceptionally well. Thank you all.

I stayed at the hotel with my family. We were in Grimsby for a family funeral. There was 15 people all eating, drinking and staying at the hotel. Admittedly the was one person in our party that had a bit to much to drink. It was around 8.30pm when we were told none of us would be served any more to drink because of that one person. He had done nothing wrong and was just sitting with everyone else. But because he was drunk the other 14 people were refused service. I went up to my room with my partner and daughter taking food up with us. I came back down with the plates 90 mins later and ordered a drink ( bearing in mind I had only had 4 drinks all day ). He gave me the drink then asked was I with the party that had been in the back room. I replied I was and his attitude towards me totally changed. He told me if he had known I would never have been served. It was like I was being told off by someone half my age. I would not recommend this bar or hotel to anyone that is in a party more than 3-4 people or if you would like to have more than 3-4 drinks.

Nice historic place ..Great atmosphere

This was my go-to location for nights out before moving on many moons ago. Now, it's a shadow of its former self. Draughty and cold, with ill maintained seating. The once fine decor is plastered over with promotional advertising, and the food has dropped in standard. Haven't had the opportunity to use the rooms, and I'm not too sure I want to.

Just went for lunch very impressed with the food and how quickly it came very reasonably priced too.

We went in for lunch and using the Wetherspoons app the paninis we ordered arrived promptly and were tasty and nicely cooked. Drinks came quick too and staff were polite and courteous. Would deffo return when in the area again.

Went to the pub tonight and sat near the back bar. The pub was pretty quiet but we still used the app expecting that to take priority over people going to the bar. After 12 minutes of observing the barmaid serving a few people at the bar and stood chatting the rest of the time we went to complain. No apology but the barmaid claimed she was on her own and busy. She was not busy at all!! The drinks eventually arrived a few minutes after. To top it id ordered a hot chocolate but that had run out. Won’t be in a rush to go back.

visited the restaurant with my friends , for a pint of coke a wrap , we where then asked to leave because we was 16 and didn’t have an 17 year old , they then offered take away food , and gave us the pint of coke in a small take away coffe cup so we didn’t even have half of what was ordered , revived the wrong wrap and cold chips , and was told we couldn’t sit outside on the benches , however there website states that 16 years are welcome expected some in Scotland and we are in england the staff where not understanding or nice about it didn’t explain why and felt like they stereotyped me which is wrong and rude , the services was terrible , so they was nasty when therw website says different to what they told us.

Popped in after the football and had our first pint, it was well worth it, quick service in a great looking bar but full so sat outside on a hot day, lots of tables and a friendly fun atmosphere so a nice and relaxing time and this was the hotel I wanted to book but it was full up:(

Very handy for calling in before catching the train home. It is huge inside, you could easily get lost in there, loved the high ceilings and character around the place. Quick service for food and drinks and obviously very popular with the locals.

Absolutely gorgeous well worth the money very clean room bed was very comfy pillows ere very soft the only gripe was the car parking fees but it was not the hotels fault we have already booked to stay here again so much better than premier inn

Stayed in a family room with my husband and 2 young children. Room was very large and had a super kingsize bed and a sofabed which was made up into a bed ready for us. We had our own bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and sink and loads of clean white towels. There was a cupboard with an ironing board, iron, hair dryer and spare towels and sheets. The main bedroom area had a flat screen tv on the wall with all the sky channels even movies. The whole room had aircon and drinks making facilities including complimentary biscuits!! Our room was cleaned daily and all the staff were very helpful, even bringing our food up to our room for us from the weatherspoons restaurant which is downstairs. We have another trip booked here in may and I cant wait.

First visit since lockdown. Used to really like it but visited Sunday afternoon and table was dirty had to request it be wiped down. Sat near fireplace and there was an overwhelming fusty smell. Thought I was imagining it but other customers commented too. Plates were dirty and food of poor quality like salad looked as if it had been stood around for days! Will give it a miss next time!

Visit side with me wife for a quick bite to eat and a drink. Food was nice and friendly staff. My only complaint is that it was very dark in the part of the bar where we were seated. Could have done with more lighting to make it feel more welcoming

Avoiding the disappointing poached eggs we'd had in the last Spoons, we enjoyed a bacon & egg muffin, porridge and 2 endlessly refilled coffees, all for well under a tenner! Sat in a window and read the papers for an hour or so.

Ok for a quick break. We originally wanted a break to Cleethopes as we don't drive and wanted somewhere quick and easy to get to via train. The Yarmouth came up as an alternative. Never stayed in a Weatherspoons Hotel so it was a first. On arrival you litterally walk out of the train station into the reception area. However it is completely engulfed in scaffolding. We were allocated room 221 on the second floor. Outside both windows were scaffolding and workmen walking back and forth doing their job, ffing and jeffing. This didn't bother us too much but to others it may be offensive and not welcomed. They start work at around 9am so if your're not an early riser again this may be unwelcome. The room on the whole was clean and well equipped (although no little fridge) shower was great, bed not so much. I am only 4ft9 and it was quite high up with an ultra, ultra firm mattress. The pillows were feather and I was forever being stabbed in the side of the face from the quills. Again if other are used to ultra firm and feathers that's great. The hotel doesn't have a seperate storrage area for luguage, so if you are travelling by public transport bear this in mind. We had to tow our luguage round with us until out train was due. Stones throw away to the town centre. All in all a nice stay.

Grimbsy has to be the party capital in England. This hotel is set within a wetherspoons pub, and by is it a huge pub. We stayed at the weekend so it was super bust and super loud. Parking is limited so bear this in mind. Situated in the middle of Grimbsy Town with a club and a music bar either side of it with Grimbsy Station at the back. If you want a quite room ask for a top floor and ask to be backed on to the station side. We booked in with a friendly receptionist who was very helpful. Access by lift or stairs but both require a key. We had room 333. You get fantastic value for money here. Lots of room. Three windows, huge television. Hair dryer, water,biscuits tea and coffee. Huge shower room. Huge bed which was very comfortable. There is no getting away from the noise but it's not too bad. Booking direct saves you even more money. Based close to everything you could want.

Just back from an overnight stay at the Yarborough. The staff are a credit to the company, all of them we encountered were efficient polite & helpful. The room we we were allocated was very comfortable on par with any Marriott hotel. Will be back soon.

Great Hotel for visiting Grimsby. As with all Weatherspoon's, value for money, food and drink. Staff efficient and attentive. Rooms clean, and well stocked with tea coffee, water and biscuits. White bedding and towels. Used the accessible room but ksink basin only a cloakroom size and couldnt get the kettle under had to fill with cups, which would be a nuisance for wheelchair users. Grimsby shopping area is grim

Came for breakfast this morning, was served at our table by Danny. He was very polite, helpful, friendly & chatty. Nothing was too much trouble. Enjoyed the food, it was hot & we weren't waiting long for it to arrive. Enjoyable visit, great service!
