This place is brilliant, my wife and I visited before the food was out of this world. So we returned the following week with my farther 97 bless him, the staff had arranged for us to be in the quiet room dining area as dad has hearing aids and it gets busy there.. we had stake Lovely best stake in ages, and the service is friendly and prompt.

For Fathers Day, we ordered three breakfasts for take out to my Dad's home. Absolutely fabulous food, great service, friendly and understanding. We returned the clean plates, and we're extremely pleased with the whole process. Lovely people, great venue, and super food. Thank you all so much.

Friendly staff , lovely atmosphere & great food ( hot & delicious) could not fault & we would highly recommend that you give it a try . Had the all day breakfast, it was lovely.

This place is excellent,the food is very very good nice and hot,the plates have been warmed up so that it keeps your food hot,very clean restaurant with a coffee shop style separate room at the rear of the property.the service is excellent and quick.everybody is given a warm welcome .if you haven’t tried veronica,s larder I would recommend that you do.excellent range of food from full English breakfast to Sunday roast,by far the best breakfast in this part of Lincolnshire

Food not value for money. No taste to all food. Meat that thin 2 A4 pieces of paper thicker. Food just about mere warm. Pudding was Apple and Black berry crumble. In 2 bits there was not black berries in either and just warm to eat. Chairs rock hard and no offers to change chairs with cushions on them. Lack of food options and waitress not knowing what comes with anything. If i could take the stars away i would give it -5 stars. We was recommended to go. No not into a rival business. Just someone who wasn't happy with food,service and no atmosphere. Someone who will not come back and someone who will promote your place. Will not recommend to anyone.

What an absolute treat! First time visit with a friend who has been before. Great location. The staff were lovely and the food was to die for.👌👌👌best meals we have had anywhere. 👍👍fantastic choice too. I will definitely be back....hopefully very soon.

Was disappointed with this place. It looks so promising from the outside. Unfortunately the staff let it down. There are signs telling you to wait to be seated, we waited for a while before being greeted and we were then treated like we were too much trouble. Drinks order was taken 15 minutes later we were still waiting for our drinks and for our food order to be taken and all the time two members of staff were chatting at the till. Eventually our drinks arrived and we tried to order. This was difficult because of the severe lack of vegetarian options. The menu is quite dated. After discussion with the waitress we ordered. The food came which wasn’t worth the wait. The veggie sausages were the worst sausages I have ever tasted. Everything else was just ok. Not worth the money. We will not be returning. There is an odd amount of rules displayed about the place. We didn’t take our children with us. But got the feeling children wouldn’t be very welcome due to the amount of signs with rules about children.

First time here for breakfast, we regular try out a new venue in the area for breakfast. Definitely reccomend food was great. Venue was bigger than expected and nice and fresh, Place wasn’t overly busy so great to chat without the hustle and bustle like others we have tried of late. We will be back.

Beautiful fresh food, great service, lovely location

Convenient to get to with parking bays almost always available. Mondays and Tuesdays are shut so book before you go. Luvly servers but the tables were too close for my liking. Cooked food was average but the desserts were very good especially the carrot cake. The decor was good especially the foto of Veronica on the ‘Tattershall Castle’ from the past. Would surely revisit.

Better food, better service and better restaurant than nearly all local eateries. Like having your favourite home cooked food only better than you could imagine.

Visited on a Saturday morning with my family. Service was great, staff were friendly and food was very good. This restaurant has had some not very nice reviews but our experience was lovely. Don’t let bad reviews put you off, this restaurant is worth a visit. Will be back again.

Nothing to complain about from me, had lunch here with a couple of drinks, all good.

We waited half an hour before our drinks order was taken. After another ten minutes we reminded staff. We were then told our order had not gone through. Tea arrived and we then waited another twenty minutes for an average meal. Not value for money. No apologies given.

We have often driven by so we decided to give it a try, first appearance it was very clean and tidy, met by a friendly member of staff, asked if we had booked, we told her no , we are taken properly to a table, food was great, excellent customer service, the atmosphere was brilliant , highly recommend it , definitely be back,

Excellent food,service was very very good,they meet you at the door and direct you to a table,the place it’s self is very very clean,the service is quick and you are not rushed in any way.all the food that we tried came out hot and was very enjoyable.nice menu and a good selection of hot and cold drinks….try this place out and you won’t go any where else for breakfast or lunch.nice to be able to talk while your there without loads of noise,very pleasant.keep up the good work see ya again soon

First visit here and won’t be the last,we had a mix of food from steak to fish and chips the menu is very varied but not too much that you find it hard to choose,everything was delicious we has a treacle pudding and a sticky toffee pudding and although it was only toffee sauce over a sponge with no dates in sight it was still very nice and quite a minor issue when everything else was lovely including the staff x

Spotless clean good service! Very polite staff! Cannot wait to go again , infact it’s a place I always say to friends you must try such a relaxed atmosphere! Plenty of room for privacy too!

Excellent as it has been each time I’ve been! Today was no exception, beautiful bacon bun just how I like mine as did request a well done bacon rashers! Took my friend for the first time, she was also impressed ! Yes , maybe a little more expensive, but if I get good service and food’ that’s all I ask for’

What an absolute gem of a place! This is the 2nd time me and my husband have visited Veronica's, 1st time for cooked breakfast (which was banging) and today for lunch. I ordered a Veronica's large burger and oh my word was it large! Never before have I had to eat a burger with a knife and fork! Wow absolutely delicious. I can safely say its the best I've ever had. Hubby had home made steak pie with mash and said it was beautiful. I could not eat a pudding but he had crumble with custard and ice cream (yes strange combination but don't knock it till you've tried it). This combo was not on the menu but nothing was too much trouble and served as he liked it. The staff were absolutely lovely very polite and curtious. The restaurant is decked out with old pictures of Veronica and here family on the walls. I found out Veronica was the grandmother of the lady serving us today. This is a family run business cooking original recipes handed down from Veronica herself. We would both definitely recommend Veronica's. Very clean and bright with great food, service and local history. Trish and Paul

Although the owner has put the business on the market (hooray!), she wasn't very helpful at all. My wife visited with a friend, and asked for alternative milk etc., only to find a nil response. They only went in for coffee, and although the place was virtually empty, the owner asked them to sit in the small coffee room! How odd. Wouldn't go back whilst she is running the place, but would when it changes hand!!!

A nice little spot for a bit to eat. They have a good selection of cakes as well

First time here and I will definitely be going back.Very good menu of a variety of homemade food, and puddings and cakes. Proper ice-cream. The staff were lovely and very efficient,the premises were very clean. A bit more pricey than some others but well worth it. It's best to book ahead but I can highly recommend a visit.

It was ok. Good choice of food. Tasty food. Didn't blow my socks off but it was pleasant enough.

The food was very middle of the road, and certainly not cheap. The deserts were most definitely not home made. Fever Tree tonic was clearly marked as 80 pence on the menu under tonics, until it came to settle the bill when I was charged £2.95 each, when I queried the amount I was told it was only 80 pence when bought with a gin. Can't recommend this place, wont be going back

Visited with 3 friends and wanted a take out ice cream. Front of house rude, looked us up and down several times before speaking. When we were spoken to, we were asked to take our shoes off to walk through the restaurant. Yes that's right take our shoes off. Granted we had been out walking but it had been a dry day and our shoes weren't filthy and the coffee shop is on a farm. As you can imagine, we choose not to take our shoes off and didn't bother with ice cream.

Well, what looks like a lovely family run cafe based on a farm turned out to be a rude obnoxious run business. There was 4 of us whom entered following a small walk. As the woman walked towards us, she looked us up and down and in a rude tone asked what we wanted. We explained we wanted 4 take away ice creams. We were then looked up and down again and informed they only have vanilla. We agreed to have 4 of these, we were asked again were we sure- yes. At this point we were asked if we would take our shoes off to walk through the restaurant. Yes, you heard me, take our shoes off. We soon exited and declined to remove our shoes to walk to get an ice cream. Lots of improvement in front of house is needed if this business is to succeed.

I visited this establishment with my friend, the other day. We sat at a table, and when the person came to take our order, we ordered a coffee each. As I suffer with IBS, I asked if it was ok to eat my own food, as I have to be very careful what I do and don't eat. Just before that, the lady said, as we were only having coffee, could we move to the Coffee Lounge, which we thought was strange, as the 'main' area was fairly empty. However we did move to the 'lounge', but when my wife asked and , explained, if she could eat her own food, the lady said no! As we had been served the coffees, we drank them, and then I told the lady that we wouldn't visit again, and left. Her manner wasn't right anyway, she wasn't friendly, even though it turned out that she was the owner! As we left, we saw that the table we initially sat at, was still empty, and I just wondered what that was all about! In actual fact, there was plenty of empty tables. One other important thing, this cafe is the only one ever, which has refused to let me eat my own food! Even the likes of Mcd's, Costa, Subway and Greggs cafes, have let me eat my own food, plus the big four supermarket cafes too. Not a nice experience.

We had a roast dinner and pudding here today and all we can say is WOW. We wish we had found this place sooner and will be making this our regular go to from now on! Not only was the food incredible, the staff were so lovely and such a lovely story behind the tea room opening. So clean and such beautiful decor! We look forward to our next visit

Three of us visited today, staff very friendly and efficient. Very clean and well presented eating area. Food very fresh and lots of it, beer on tap severed nice and cold and in its appropriate glass, which dose make all the difference to the taste somehow :) I’ve visited a few times and found the food very tasty and plentiful. We dine at Veronica’s often for breakfast and lunch . It’s always freshly cooked with the best ingredients and we have never been disappointed. The staff are brilliant and cannot do enough for you .

Went for a full English breakfast and asked if they would swap the black pudding for a sausage. They said 'we can add a sausage for an extra charge, but can't swop the black pudding for a sausage'. How small minded and rediculous. Won't be going there again.

Very disappointed in lunch today arrived 12.15 booked table for 12.30pm.... Took along time to order in, we all chose a special from menu board so should have been ready.... At 1.45 we finally got food which was dry and cool. Will not return again soon

A very fresh vibrant restaurant. Staff were pleasant and attentive, popular place, might be tight to get parked when busy. We had the full English which was nice with a tasty coffee. The venue is lovely , airy and not crowded , the staff serving , lovely and caring The food , we ordered a lamb burger with chips off the specials board , chicken and bacon salad and cajun chicken burger with hand cut chips and coleslaw Nothing is cheap in here so you expect to get what you order and it to be of a certain quality . The salad of lettuce so so limp it was close to fainting , the meat part of the burgers was great but the rest so dry it was hard to eat and like last week came with fries that tase of nothing but fat , not the hand cut chips . I challenged them last week and they brought me chips saying the menu wrong ..it:s still wrong . I really thought that after my complaint last week they would have rectified this . The lettuce in the burger limp and no tomato or anything else to give the burger some moisture ..just a dry toasted bun . When we complained we were told it's difficult to get salad , " have you been to tesco's recently " . This is not an excuse that works , try aldi or Lidl they both have good fresh salad or Morrison's , or simply don't serve it So sad ..this my third disappointing meal in here , the lasagna was grisly and very greasy too .. Staff great , food not , and it really would not take much to rectify this , and I think what really got my goat was a sign on the wall saying " due to the rise in prices it was not possible to change items on the menu , food came as stated on the Menu" . Ha
