My friend and I had the 2 x full breakfasts and tea or coffee for £10. Very good value for money. Nice breakfast but we would have preferred it if the beans and tinned tomatoes could have been served in ramekins. Though we realise that this would take longer to serve.!! The lady who was taking all the orders, serving at tables and clearing tables does an excellent job. Also very friendly, polite and professional. There is a very extensive menu in this place. Well worth a visit. We will definitely be back.

There are now Starbucks and Costa on Paragon Station but this place still beats them- local small business worthy of support. Delightful staff- so friendly and efficient . Arriving at Hull Paragon Station at lunch time I asked the train manager the best place for a snack lunch. She promptly replied the London Way Cafe Just by the exit. It was in the older style, obviously didn’t come under the considerable renovations of the station for City of Culture, however the service was prompt and the food cooked to order at a very reasonable price.. if all you want is a snack lunch you can do no worse than eat here. I got a window seat and the sun shone on the lovely cream stone architecture which used to be the entrance to this surprising station. I was given a book at Christmas which listed the 100 best stations in the U.K., and Hull was one of them! Well worth a visit. Sorry I couldn’t include photos TA App not responding!!

As someone who eats here regularly, its disappointing to have to write this - the food quality is excellent but unfortunately the portion sizes of certain meals on the menu have been reduced significantly. I asked for my omelette to be served with salad rather than chips and a small side salad which the assistant said was okay, I got an omelette with the same tiny portion of salad as is served when chips are served. This wasn't an oversight as it is the second or third tine it has happened. Unfortunately there are now other eating places in the area offering far better value for money.

I was staying in the Royal Hotel adjacent to the station. It was early in the morning and I wanted breakfast. Because it was a bank holiday the hotel didnt start breakfast until 8am. I went out of the back door of the hotel into the station and discovered not only was this cafe open, already had customers, was welcoming and inviting but superb value for money too! They offer 2 full English for £8.99 for the two on a blackboard outside which lets you know the price bracket before entering which is always good isnt it to avoid nasty surprises.Staff were really welcoming, the coffee superb, the cafe spotlessly clean and well appointed. I had a full English with toast and coffee for £4.90!!!I'd go for the day out just to go here for breakfast - no kidding!

Dropped off early for catching our train, so popped in for breakfast on the recommendation of a family member. You can pick up two fry ups with a hot drink and toast for £8.50 which is good value. Coffee was a good size and nice and strong. Breakfast did the job. Butter portion was actually spreadable which is a bonus and there’s nothing worse then it ripping your toast when your trying to butter it. My only disappointment was there was no option to pay extra for Black Pudding. It’s not served at all, which is a shame.

This cafe was a gem! My partner and I were staying in a hotel around the corner from here and popped in every day after we discovered it on the first morning of our stay in Hull. The coffee was excellent, the seating area was cosy and clean and the service was really friendly. On our last morning we treated ourselves to a breakfast from here and a treat it was indeed. Wow! what a wonderful little station cafe this is!..we came in here in August 2017,as a friend recommended before we caught our train back to Wales..So after visiting family and friends again in Hull recently,we chose to have our breakfast in The London Way rather than our hotel.and once again we wasn't disappointed, It was scrumptious,My partner had the poached egg on toast, which was very nice, and I had a bacon sandwich, the bacon was cooked just perfect, and the bread cake/roll was so fresh and soft.these were followed by cappuccino's,for which were better than some named coffee shops!..The seating and interior is very pleasant and clean..the toilets are a little dated but very clean, infact cleaner than the station toilets...If you have some time to spare before catching your train,or just passing thru' the station..give this lovely cafe a visit..you wont be disappointed ..

One of the best places I've visited in Hull. Minerva was recommended to me by some work colleagues so came for dinner one evening. It was quite busy when we arrived, but we manged to get a table for 2 straight away. I ordered a fish pie and my friend got the fish and chips. The portions were decent sized and the food was really good. They had a good selection of beers on the bar. The pub inside is a proper traditional old pub and really nice inside.
