Went in today and had a great meal by Danny and was served by a lovely woman Sophie , was a nice quiet atmosphere with great music and lovely staff

Food was absolutely amazing, drinks were also on point! My girlfriend unfortunately suffered a medical episode and fainted, which the staff aided with quickly and very professionally, I cannot thank the staff on shift enough. Thank you Sophie and Eva

Brought my mum in for food then pub was busy with a lot of people eating. But the staff were very friendly and efficient! I had the chip shop platter which was fantastic and very good value for money I would highly recommend.

Can’t comment on food as didn’t have any but the biggish girl behind the bar was very rude and the place stinks really bad and has for several months now.. Also it’s hard to tell who’s staff and isn’t as they all wear normal clothes.. so if you require assistance it’s difficult to identify staff from customers!

Usually quite before 5pm very busy on weekends and when there's a match on.

Great atmosphere and great service been multiple times and always welcoming, especially Sophie! best bar in the town.

Server was Soph and she was absolutely delightful! Very patient as I couldn’t make up my mind on what to eat or drink. Will definitely be coming back again!

Still recovering from a good session, nothing perticular wrong with the burger and chips. Staff are busy, but still served quickly, sophie did my favourires, long island teas, two for twelve quid. Decent bar, certainly one of hulls busier go to bars.

Food was amazing and very reasonably priced me and my children throughly enjoyed it and Becki is a credit to you and your company, very helpful, welcoming and put a smile on our faces

Great time watching the football with my partner despite the weather. We were served by Sophie who was very helpful and pleasant to deal with, we both got a burger and chips which were lovely. Good prices too.

When we last called in it was quite full. We had a few drinks and cocktails which where ok. We didn't have any food this time. But when we have had it before it was ok. As a wheelchair user it is not the easiest pub to get into due to the two steps at the front but I am able to stand and take a few steps so I can make it in. Once in you have room to move about and can order from your table. The only downside to this pub being disabled is that they don't keep the disabled toilet clear and easy to access,be prepared to ask people to move their table or chairs for you to get in.

Great place to eat our fabbo baked spuds. Staff are brilliant. And live footy as well.

Went in yesterday 18/12/24 this pub is one of nicest pub in town centre was served by Sophie and Eva always plesent and smiling. all staff are very nice and always happy

Sophie and Tegan gave us the best service was very happy and talkative. They made sure everything was okay with our food but didn't hover. The place was also very clean and food was done perfectly.Would definitely recommend.

I don't mind this spot, but gets very loud and busy o. A Fri and Sat. Can't really fault it.

Doing xmas shopping had to of cause call to yates we had the Christmas Burger and a beer the food was amazing and the service from the two girls behind the bar was fantastic thank you both

Nice food and staff (Chloe + Kyla ) however walking into the pub I did smell a public toilet sort of scent . I have been in here before and it’s not smelt like that so maybe it’s just a one off but overall nice place for a drink and pub grub

Came today with my son and grandson we all had food and drink. Food was amazing and cooked to perfection especially fish and chips was tasty. All the team looked after us well and made sure all our requirements was met so thank you ❤️

One of my favourite spots in old town, staff are always up for a chat and seem to be very knowledgeable about the menu which is a big hit! Sophie and Tegan are such a laugh together neither afraid of a bit of banter which breaks the day up for me after a long shift!

Visited last week and had a great experience! Sophie was very attentive and knew the menu very well and helped us pick our meals! The chips especially were very good, hot and crispy🙂 Will definitely return!

I come here all the time with my carers. Sophie and Charlotte are the two people who always serve me and suggest different meals for me to try. They always go out of their way to help me when I find things harder than most. Very helpful

nice bar plenty of screens to watch sport on, cheap drinks and was recommended a cocktail by Sophie to try which was lovely

I am quite disappointed on this visit, atmosphere is not as good as previous visits, it looks like a change of staff. Food is reasonably priced. Onion rings normally spot on, today rather soggy. Mentioned it to a member of staff, who said he would tell someone. My 1st choice of a mixed grill wasn't available because there wasn't any steak. That knocked out the steak menu. Not in a hurry to return anytime soon.

My wife and I called in at The Yates in Hull as we were that end of town. The staff were absolutely brilliant they couldn't do enough for you, extremely helpful and charming. The food was excellent and tasted just perfect. We both had a drink apiece and was tremendously refreshing. Thanks guy's.

Amazing atmosphere great bar staff our bartender Chloe was amazing and gave us plenty shots and we had a belter home and the drinks were lovely

Yates is a great place to visit, There's a large selection of Beers and Spirits at good prices. Very large screen, fantastic for watching sports. The staff are very friendly, the pub is very well presented and clean. I haven't eaten there but if the food tastes as good as it looks then I'm sure it'll be great.

My daughter and myself had toasties, each with chips with bacon and a pot of tea, the chips with bacon 🥓 very nice and the plates were warm. The pot of tea good, unfortunately the toasties were not so good, filling ok, bread pale like under a grill for a few seconds, will still use Yates, but have something different.

Lovely to be served by, Tegan and Chloe today. Great service nice atmosphere very good beer.

I was impressed by Rebecca's commitment to going the extra mile. Also completely impressed with staffs professionalism and customer service. The ambiance here is always inviting and comfortable.

Cocktails are amazing and food is always on point. We come every Thursday and becki is very welcoming. I come with my sister and we are now regulars and it's our stop off for lunch every week.

Fairly quiet on Monday lunchtime, food was usual fast food microwaved pie and frozen chips Beer was not bad though

We generally come here for a light bite when in Hull and found it to be good value. Today however we noticed that the menu had changed, with less offers on it! We went for the Bacon and Cheese toastie, with Dirty Chips, Barbecue Sauce and Spring Onion. When it arrived we were disappointed to see it was two pieces of toasted bread, not the sealed toasties I envisaged. They were over toasted to the point that the crusts were inedible, rock hard. There wasn’t any spring onion, the dirty chips were anything but and the barbecue sauce was more like tomato sauce! For £6.99 each it was one if the worst light bites we’ve ever encountered and didn’t warrant the asking price. The only good thing about the meal was the drinks!! Looks like we’ll be looking for another place to eat in Hull. Disappointed!!

Their food is amazing! Really enjoyed the mixed grill I had and my partner had the cheese and bacon burger and it was much better than expected, great service too! They come and check that everything is okay which is nice compared to other pubs. The cocktails being 2-4-1 is also a bonus!

Very poor service, was told food would be a long wait due to delivery issues, tables sticky . Left after a drink.

Wetherspoons was where we wanted to go, but it was closed. We had been to Yates before and the food was pretty rubbish, but we were hoping it had improved - however, it was really, REALLY bad this time. I'd give 0/5 if I could. We ordered our food, and it took ages to arrive and it wasn't particularly busy. The bar lady plonked the cutlery on the table, and we waited. When it arrived, the breakfasts were thrown on the plate, no care on presentation whatsoever. Well, the toastie. Avoid at all costs. The bread for the toastie was like concrete and inedible. I actually laughed when I saw it as it looked so awful and unappetising. I think I would rather starve than eat here.

Food is a little basic. But it is what it is for the prices they charge 🤷

It's a good bar to be in, good atmosphere, plenty of seating and also has upstairs seating. It's a fairly big place, prices are reasonable on food and drink.

Popped in for a quick drink when visiting Hull Shopping Centre recently. Only a few people in.

I went to all the england games in this bar and I cannot describe how fantastic the staff have been throughout the whole euros, from the bar staff, the doormen and even the dj. As I've already said to the staff, thanks for the memories haha

After waiting for 40 minutes, our food arrived almost inedible; with one meal not as ordered, and both meals cold, with garlic bread and "toasted sandwich" resembling pavement slabs. After complaining, we were offered, by a pleasant barmaid, a full refund. However, this did not compensate for a most unpleasant visit.

Not a bad pub, I didnt order food but is good on a weekend night.
