Had the fish & chips with a beer for me & a wine for my daughter. Food absolutely delicious, service great. Danny the chef excellent. Thank you.

Thanks to all staff for the very friendly welcome we received this evening - especially Karen and Kim (in the kitchen), Matty and the young man who greeted us at the front door but finished his shift before we left. Our 3-course meals were very enjoyable: mac cheese bites; fish and chips/Hunter's chicken; cheesecake and chocolate brownie. Our plates were pleasingly full and the food was piping hot. Above all, we appreciated the friendliness and efficiency of the staff who did everything they could (and more) to make our visit a pleasant one.

Great pub friendly staff and good atmosphere

Kyla made our afternoon very relaxed. She made sure the drinks never ran dry and each one was made perfectly. If we didn't find the drink to our taste she quickly noticed and helped fix it. A very nice afternoon

Kayla has been absolutely amazing with our bottomless brunch, full of smiles and jokes and the drinks were immaculate!

Great place service can be slow on a busy night or day. Great service is top notch and great condition and atmosphere for parties of any kind.

Excellent customer service with a nice vibe as Sophie and Lottie were very friendly and helpful. The food was really nice too.

Food cooked by Kim was stunning and service by the bar staff was outstanding.

Bar staff with ginger beard was super friendly and bought us a birthday drink and the chef Kim is great

Bottomless brunch at Yates! Really nice staff, always had a drink, well looked after.

Food is always fresh and hot, the staff are really friendly and make sure you're well taken care of

A bit noisy but I love the place and the shepherd's pie was good even though it had little mashed potato. It was mainly meat and cheese but still tasty. Sophie was very helpful and welcoming at the bar

Cracking food, cracking staff, canny go wrong

Came with friends tonight manager Becky amazing and FAF! Definitely my go to when in town. Big screens for sports aswell which is spot on I would recommend visiting.

Food was lovely and service was quick and friendly, they're new menus burgers were delicious! I ordered the melt and thoroughly enjoyed it, only feed back I would give was the bun would've been nice toasted and another piece of bacon as I only had 1 rasher in the burger, but other than that it was absolutely delicious :))

Food is still really good for the value but the deal for a double cheeseburger and pint at £9 won’t ever be topped , they need to bring this back and more people will come

I didnt order food so no complaints there but was charged 10 pounds for one pint of coors lager on Saturday night with my card paying contactless. Something seemed sneaky so i checked my app and thats how i noticed. And then i was only given 5 pounds back when i pointed this out. Probably happens often!

Honestly the best mixed grill I’ve ever had!! The steak was cooked to perfection and so juicy, the chicken was so tender and easy to bite and it didn’t hurt my jaw to eat at all, the gammon was so lovely maybe just slightly too finely cut but other than that beautiful, the sausage was also beautiful and seasoned perfectly with so much flavor. The only downside was the fried egg was overdone in which I prefer it quite runny. The service was also amazing, not sure what my servers name was but it you want service as good as mine look for a man with a septum piercing and a daffodil on his shirt cause he was the nicest server I have ever came across, he made our visit 100% better, we’ll definitely be back soon, Thank you for our experience Yates!!!

Always a friendly atmosphere. Also a great sports bar huge screen and smaller screens dotted around the pub. Greatest asset is its staff. Always a warm welcome and first class service. Think it was someone called Chloe who served us last and made sure everything was tiptop.

Come in regularly at dinner for some food, always made very welcome by Chloe or Becky , food is always very nice. The two girls behind the bar are very polite and helpful.

This place.is by far one of the best pubs in the city centre.all staff are always very polite and happy food is excellent.

Called in for a snack while out with friends, we ordered from the small plate / sharing menu, the food we got was of good quality and quality given the price. Good selection of drinks on offer from cask ales to the usual draughts and bottles.

Great service. We're willing to do a breakfast menu 10 minutes after their official cut off time, unlike wetherspoons which is why we came to Yates. Friendly staff providing every option and exceptionally courteous. The english breakfast could have cooked/grilled the tomato and less frying the hashbrown but otherwise very good with excellent choice of vegetarian sausages rather than vegetable sausages.

Food was absolutely amazing, drinks were also on point! My girlfriend unfortunately suffered a medical episode and fainted, which the staff aided with quickly and very professionally, I cannot thank the staff on shift enough. Thank you Sophie and Eva

Brought my mum in for food then pub was busy with a lot of people eating. But the staff were very friendly and efficient! I had the chip shop platter which was fantastic and very good value for money I would highly recommend.

Can’t comment on food as didn’t have any but the biggish girl behind the bar was very rude and the place stinks really bad and has for several months now.. Also it’s hard to tell who’s staff and isn’t as they all wear normal clothes.. so if you require assistance it’s difficult to identify staff from customers!

Usually quite before 5pm very busy on weekends and when there's a match on.

Server was Soph and she was absolutely delightful! Very patient as I couldn’t make up my mind on what to eat or drink. Will definitely be coming back again!

Great time watching the football with my partner despite the weather. We were served by Sophie who was very helpful and pleasant to deal with, we both got a burger and chips which were lovely. Good prices too.

Great atmosphere and great service been multiple times and always welcoming, especially Sophie! best bar in the town.

Still recovering from a good session, nothing perticular wrong with the burger and chips. Staff are busy, but still served quickly, sophie did my favourires, long island teas, two for twelve quid. Decent bar, certainly one of hulls busier go to bars.

When we last called in it was quite full. We had a few drinks and cocktails which where ok. We didn't have any food this time. But when we have had it before it was ok. As a wheelchair user it is not the easiest pub to get into due to the two steps at the front but I am able to stand and take a few steps so I can make it in. Once in you have room to move about and can order from your table. The only downside to this pub being disabled is that they don't keep the disabled toilet clear and easy to access,be prepared to ask people to move their table or chairs for you to get in.

Great place to eat our fabbo baked spuds. Staff are brilliant. And live footy as well.

I don't mind this spot, but gets very loud and busy o. A Fri and Sat. Can't really fault it.

Nice food and staff (Chloe + Kyla ) however walking into the pub I did smell a public toilet sort of scent . I have been in here before and it’s not smelt like that so maybe it’s just a one off but overall nice place for a drink and pub grub
