In a large group but staff were amazing food served promptly and beautifully cooked. Music on low so made for a comfortable back ground. Absolutely could not fault it in any way. An amazing night for us all

Absolutely number 1! My favourite place for a steak or other grilled meats. The seafood dish is amazing too. Finished off with cold Heineken on draft, perfection. Staff extremely polite and friendly. Place is spotless and decor beautiful ❤️

Lovely meal, we both had the Sirloin Steak, one with peppercorn one with garlic. Starters nice Garlic mushrooms and King Prawns in a tomato sauce. Decent house red wine. Saw some lovely meals going to other tables so will be back and try other meals

We visited this restaurant on a Wednesday and we found it to be very quiet when we arrived but a few more came as we were finishing. The gentleman taking the order was not concentrating and made a few mistakes appeared uninterested. The food came on wooden boards so the steak juices was running on to the table but also into the rest of the food. I honestly didn’t understand the choice of wooden boards to serve food!! it really didn’t give off the affect intended. The write up on the steak sounded good but was disappointing. The sauce as an added extra wasn’t good, also run off the serving board. Potatoes was nice but four half’s really wasn’t enough. Parts of the salad wasn’t at its best. This full experience led to a very disappointing dinner. This restaurant is mismatch and very confusing!! The food is priced middle to high bracket so the decor really needs a rethink. I found some areas needing attention especially the disabled toilet. The wall was dirty near the baby changing and the full toilet holder was thick dust ( not acceptable) Overall this restaurant is tired and certainly not somewhere to visit for that special treat! Ditch the awful plastic flowers! Dress the tables properly and definitely put together a dress code.

Wow, being a massive meat lover this place did not disappoint, all I can say is for a family night out, so glad we opted to come here rather then take our Normal approach and go out of town for an enjoyable meal, the Sirloin steak was cooked to perfection, yum yum yum, we couldn’t finish the full steak and so took the rest home, however my 9 year old son, Bloody ate the whole thing, now that was impressive!!! This boy is such a bad eater and to see him demolish his steak is a total testament to the Steak House.defo will be spreading the word to my family and friends and our Muslim brothers and sisters, oh did I forget to mention THIS PLACE SERVES HALAL💙💙💙

Not usually one to write a review as I take a bad experience with a pinch of salt and know not to return, however my experience here was something else. We pre-booked a table of 20 for bottomless brunch for my hen do a month in advance and paid the deposit to secure our table, when my mum rang up a couple of days before to confirm we were still coming, they had no booking in the system and denied any knowledge of mum ever putting down a deposit, after some time on the phone they all of a sudden ‘found a booking for 20 people under the incorrect name’. This was fine because at least we could still go, however we were not filled with confidence. My mum also questioned their gluten free menu for one of the party to which they confirmed they could cater for with no issues. When we arrived, there were no bottomless brunch menus on the table, the manager eventually brought our menus that he had just printed around 20 minutes after the last guests arrived, and left again to give us time to choose what we wanted. The menu we were handed stated ‘House Spirit and Mixer’ was included within the botttomless brunch, on the table already was a normal drinks menu which listed all house spirits the bar offered, so when we came to order drinks we were confused when the manager refused to serve any spirit other than vodka as this was not stated on the menu. As the drinks were being served, the staff were unable to confidently confirm which drinks were full fat coke and which were diet, this meant that the party member with diabetes did not drink anything other than the first glass of diet coke, which she ordered before anyone turned up and watched being poured. The lack of confidence of knowing what drinks they were serving was again not great and led to a poor experience. One of the party required a gluten-free option, however they did not have a specific menu for this allergen, they were told to just pick anything from the normal menu and they can just ‘make it gluten free’. This did not fill us with confidence and so she ordered the Eggs Benedict as it looked like the easiest option on the menu to ‘make gluten free’. When the food arrived it was just a couple slices of bacon with a poached egg and sauce. There was no gluten free bread substitute or anything extra to make up for the missing ingredients. Later in the evening she started to experience a lot of discomfort and it turned out she was having a celiac flare up and had to go home early, she has since been very ill. I had to write this review as I do not want other people with allergies to have the same experience, it seems as though they do not know how to stop cross contamination between allergens and it could be much worse for somebody else. This was very unfortunate as the food for the rest of the party was amazing, however I don’t think anyone will be returning as the attitude and customer service from the manager himself was appalling. If you can’t cater for a large group, or allergies, then this should have been stated from the off and we could have booked to go somewhere else.

went on valentine’s day to what me and my partner expected to be a lovely meal. when we arrived it looks like a pub instead of a steakhouse which is disappointing. we booked a table and was told because it was so busy to ‘just find a seat’ . we then waited over 30 minutes just to be brought a menu. the wait for the food was not that long however upon arrival i was served the wrong sides and the steak was cold and fatty, we saw this on countless occasions throughout the night happen to other people, even chefs coming out to serve food to tables which didn’t order that food , with drinks and also whole meals. after finishing our food nobody came to clear the table and we waited over an hour just to get the bill, and we had to ask three different servers for this and none of them brought it so in frustration we went to the bar and asked for it. we were then charged 10% service charge for literally no service at all i am extremely disappointed and angry with the poor service and ridiculous circus that was served to us on valentine’s day. will not be coming back ever again.

Open for online orders, allowed me to make a £60 order and the restaurant accepted it! They left it for over an hour until the driver went to collect and told the driver to tell me to cancel my order as the kitchen is closed.. yet still open for online orders?! Why would the restaurant accept my order, they should have declined it or rang and told me they couldn't do it. It's now 10pm and I'm having to fight for a refund as the restaurant refused to cancel on their end and have no food. An absolute joke!!!!

Usually I give this place 5 out of 5 but tonight its a 3, I ordered a medium ,/ well done steak it came rare , I saw the waitress and told her and she took it away and changed it immediately, and it was delicious, then my wife ordered chocolate pudding and they brought chocolate cake and custard , saw the waitress again and it was changed immediately, this is a great place to eat , it was just one of those things and we will be back soon

We loved every bit of our visit. Went with work colleagues, and we had fun, good music playing in the backgrounds, we felt like starting a karaoke 😂Had the best steak I've ever had in a long time. If you want your meat to be cooked just the way you want it, make that Newland Steakhouse visit today. I definitely will be visiting again. Thank you to the staff too, polite.

I had to try it after a friend recommended it. I’m giving 5 stars because they ticked all the boxes. My favourite was their meat platter, mashed potatoes, and cocktails(forgot the names 😁. The service is top-notch, they made it spicier of course I’m Nigerian. The ambience is something else cosy, classy, and Instagrammable (if there is any word like that 😌)

This is so good we drive all the way from Derby for the steaks. Humas starters are incredible.

It was not very busy on the day of my visit the service was quick and the steak was great better than I had at Larkin's the week before limited range of draught beers and had run out of Guinness.

It’s my second time visiting this restaurant, and I must say the food is great and that is why I came back, unfortunately this time I didn’t have the best experience. I went in with my wife and on getting there, there was no one at the door so we decided to take a sit seeing as half the sits were vacant. We sat down for about 20 minutes and nobody attended to us, I walked to the bar to ask for someone to attend to us and the bartender mentioned that we came in unattended and that is why no one was attending to us, she eventually came and got us drinks, but then we had to wait another 15 minutes calling the waiters and getting ignored, only for him to walk up to us and I asked him why no one was attending to us and his response was that we came in unattended. It was annoying having to listen to this over and over. It was my wife’s graduation and I wanted to her to have the best experience, and the best food. Food was good. Experience was disappointing.

I went to this restaurant for my graduation dinner, I wasn’t attended to for over 20 mins and the waiter was pretty rude, the waiter claimed it was because I didn’t wait at the door in the cold winter for him till he came to show me to my sit, that’s why he didn’t attend to me. I also ordered a second drink and I never got it . It was generally a bad dinner environment . Graduation dinner mood ruined !!!!

Lovely food, very tasty, creamed mushroom and warm bread was a winner, mixed grill for 2 a bit of a let down, did expect more meat so was disappointed, could not fault quality and taste and we cleared our plates.service was overall very good, but could have done with the waitress coming and asking us more often if wanted any more drinks, could have easily gone another round of drinks(10)of us so missing a trick. Mocktail was fabulous. Understand they were very busy. Will visit again very soon and try a different hopefully meaty main.

Went on a whim with misses for a meat platter 25 squid each very nice and well presented but a 5th of meat was fat and more presentation then what I expected for the money I'm not greedy but felt a little disappointed with the meat portion I'm white and very not racist but the ambient rap music is not my thing probably won't again or recommend but a nice non the less.

I recently dined at Newlannd Steakhouse and was blown away by their amazing food. The steak was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavour and tenderness. The staff were incredibly respectful, providing attentive service throughout the evening. Highly recommend

2nd time we have eaten here, 1st time we had a lovely meal, that time we had pre booked a table. This time wasn't sure what time we would arrive but as it was going to be early took a chance, we was asked if we had booked and said no, the waiter asked just for 2, we said yes, he then pointed over to a table and said "that one over there" and then walked away, hmmm i thought, when he came to take our drinks order i asked for the IPA he just said didn't have it and no other beer's. We ordered our food and wasn't waiting too long, but no one came to ask if everything was good or if we wanted any more drinks. So to be honest we felt like we wasn't wanted, we paid and just left. The food was nice but will have to think twice about visiting again.

Just came home from eating here. Food was absolutely gorgeous and cooked to perfection, we had the king prawn starter and fillet for main. The let down was the lack of attentiveness from floor staff. Had one drink, tried to get attention of staff but too busy talking amongst themselves at the bar also bar maid was either on the phone or yawning. In the end gave up trying so went to another bar.

We where a table of 4 , the mixed grill was really tasty & plentiful, I got mine with rice & another in our party got there's with chips & was equally pleased. The other 2 guests both sampled the chicken skewers & onion rings & found them also to be nice & more then enough . Priced surprising well 4 mains & 2 rounds of drinks for under £100 .

The food is great, maybe avoid the prawns, but overall everything else we had was delicious. When we mentioned not liking the prawns, there was no hassle. It was just left off the bill. Staff were breathtaking in every sense and went well beyond to look after us.. Can't wait to go again.

Quite disappointed with the visit here on a Saturday afternoon, which is a shame as a few months ago it was absolutely amazing. We got sat in the back room, which was lovely except for the very loud club-like music that was totally out of place for a restaurant. We asked for it to be turned down slightly and they did, so we were thankful as we could now actually hear each other across the table. Ordered wine, which was nice, and although the glasses were seemingly clean you could see the wipe marks from the towels used to dry them. Asked about any specials, the wait-staff looked at me blankly and then said they didn't have any and proceeded to go through the menu I had just read. We shared a starter - olives and feta - which was absolutely delicious - the salad dressing was amazing (basically a star goes to that starter)... but then the mains came. Our steaks came on wooden boards... instantly unimpressed at seeing this and that the wait-staff almost spilled steak juice on to me when they put it in front of me as it was spilling off the flat wooden board. The boards had loads of scratch marks from previous diners and I wondered how exactly do they steralise these wooden boards? Can it even be done? I asked if I could have mine put on to an actual ceramic plate, hoping that they would give me a heated plate so that my steak would stay warm as I ate it, but was instantly told that they didn't have any actual plates! "No plates?" Was my reply, in a state of disbelief. My steak was already cool/cold when it arrived, turned out to be more medium than medium-rare and quite bland, the potatoes were pretty much just boiled new potatoes seemingly tossed once in a low heated frying pan to get the look of pan-fried, and the salad had no dressing so that was also bland. I asked for mayo, he asked for English mustard, mine came in a bowl (you could tell it was quickly squeezed out of a bottle), his came in sachets, which added litter to our table. Different wait staff collected our boards once we ate what we could, didn't even ask how it was, didn't ask if we wanted to see the dessert menu or wanted any additional drinks and nobody really noticed us leaving after we paid. Very unimpressed and disappointed. You're supposed to be a Steakhouse, not a hipster hangout - get ACTUAL plates that can be put under heat lamps in the kitchen so food doesn't go cold for the customer, don't towel-dry your wine glasses, get rid of mustard sachets and serve it in pots/bowls, train your wait-staff to a higher quality, get some specials and don't play loud club music.

Long awaited evening out with the boyfriend for a date night! Sadly evening wasn't what we had hoped it would be. Ended up with me being highly unwell for the next few days!! * * Service was poor and minimal, long wait times between arrival, drinks and courses. Having to chase staff when wanting anything. On arrival it was asked reguards Gluten free/ coeliac availability. The young lady serving us was unsure of what this was and what was available so asked the kitchen and after multiple trips to ask questions! They assured us the meal could be gluten free. She advised avoid anything fried. On guidance from staff we ordered starters then mains. Grilled Halloumi Cheese, Served with Salad and a Hint of Olive Oil * Marinated Lamb Pieces, Served with Salad Garnish and Tzatziki * *** Cote de Boeuf (42oz) £59.95 *** The Ultimate 2 Person Sharer, With potatoes. ** Food tasted okay, but sharer main was not fabulous considering the price and compared to other steak restaurants we visited. Wouldn't order again! * Chasing them for the bill and £150 (aprox) lighter we left!! Not long afterwards i started experiencing all the unpleasantness of having had gluten :( unbelievable pain and bloating. If you have coeliac or gluten intolerance I'm sure you can understand. Sadly this place is a no go for me, clearly a lack of understanding reguards gluten free requirement and cross-contaimination.

Came in early for a party of 15, they welcomed us even though we were an hour early, the service was amazing cracked a couple jokes with the waiters. The food was top tier, especially the chicken skewers and garlic mushroom's. I really do recommend giving this restaurant a go and I’m sure it’s going to become one of your usual spots.

Was quiet when we visited but the food and service was excellent. I had Rib Eye Steak it was cooked perfectly and I had a a salad with it which was great. Definitely would recommend especially as the waitress had a nice smile 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Ordered a delivery . I chose chicken skewers and lamb and beef burger. It was absolutely delicious, hot on arrival. Plenty of sides and fresh salad. I definitely recommend. Next time I will eat in the restaurant. Service was spot on as delivery driver was polite 👌

Ordered eggs royal. Came late. Poached eggs were not runny in the slightest, which is disappointing considering they're meant to be, called them back, said they'd ring me back. Never did. Won't be returning unfortunately.

Amazing atmosphere. We came here for my sister’s post graduation ceremony just to have a sit down and eat. Viola was extremely helpful when I called to make the reservation. They were courteous and the meat was cooked to perfection. If I ever find myself in Hull again, would gladly stop by.
