Would give 0 if I could, hopefully be gone in a year, awful.

For the price, we absolutely would never come here again. The service was slow and clumsy despite there only being about 12 customers in (20 minutes to take a drinks order, another 15 to take our food order, no check back, sauces forgotten and we we weren't asked if we wanted more drinks or dessert - we actually left thirsty). This told us that the front of house staff didn't care at all. This wasn't surprising, though, since the kitchen staff didn't seem to have bothered tasting or checking anything. The bruschetta was swimming in oil and lemon juice - it was like battery acid on an oil slick. The king prawn starter was under-seasoned, though admittedly came to life when I added the tiniest pinch of salt. We got a meat board and a mixed grill. The marinated lamb chop was nice and nicely cooked, though absolutely everything else had no seasoning whatsoever and was astonishingly flavourless. The only exception to this was the gammon which was SOOOOO salty that the only person who could have enjoyed it would've been the salt-monster from the original series of Star Trek - drinks would REALLY have been helpful after this but, as I mentioned, staff didn't seem to want us to have drinks. For the first time in living memory, we went for a meal and I didn't leave a tip. Nothing about this experience was deserving of one.

I went here with my family for the first time and we had a wonderful time! My mother and I are both coeliac, and they were so accommodating: the waitresses were attentive and asked the chef all of our questions, they relayed back detailed, thorough answers and were so sweet about all of it. The food was delicious, the steak was perfectly cooked and the ambience was lovely. It's a great place for a special occasion meal!

We went there being so excited to eat steak. We loved the atmosphere and the waitress is so lovely giving the recos. We loved the drinks "mocktail" , i think the name is summer and virgin 👍. The calamares and garlic bread is so very good. Here's the thing is, the steak doesn't really fit to our tasting. It's kind of bitter at first bite , we ordered sirloin and rib eye but the sauce is good. It's just that yeah its doesnt really make us feel satisfy. Not that much !

Exceptional service from the waiters, thoughley enjoyed our meal had garlic mushroom started with garlic bread. For our main we hd ribeye steak this comes with chips or succulent boiled potatoes and salad it was beautiful.

Presentation: good, Service: bad, Availability: bad and taste: none existing. I had high hopes for being a steak house. They ran out of t-bone! The Cote De Boeuf and seafood platter were bland. It taste like the meats are not mature or dry aged, and they grill it without any seasoning. The Italian restaurant in Albion Street does steak better. Utterly disappointed

Sentados y un rato después preguntamos si queríamos copas, acaba de pasar, la oferta a mitad de semana era de dos cócteles, por 12 libras esterlinas, ganga. En ese caso, pasó un tiempo antes de que nos ofrecieran menús, así que reflexionamos sobre los platos ofrecidos. Hizo pedidos, aunque el anciano, cambió de opinión, un poco desordenado, pero pidió langosta, y langostinos, calamares, pero preguntó si podía haber más langostinos en lugar de calamares. Los entrantes parecían tardar un poco en llegar, el lugar en sí no estaba demasiado ocupado, alrededor de medio lleno. La langosta era pequeña, también podría haber sido ayudado por ser cortado por la mitad, y la galleta de nueces que dieron para romper en la cáscara, era casi inútil. En cuanto a la carne, no fue lo mejor, mi padre dijo que no estaba impresionado en absoluto. Pedimos la selección de pudín, por desgracia esto fue bastante poco inspirador, solo mi hermana pidió, helado, esperamos un rato para esto, en realidad nos levantamos, digamos que si no lo han comenzado, no importa, pero tenían, dijo, se suponía que tenía oblea y fruta, pero no tenía ninguno. No estoy seguro de que las sillas son muy cómodas, dos de nosotros tenía dolor de espalda. Amazing restaurant, cracking atmosphere and fabulous services and owner I visited Steak house with my friends, it was very clean, waiters were very welcoming. We had mixed grill which was out of this world so tasty and presentation was elegant; I strongly recommend it if you decide to give it ago. We had fruit mojito ( as we are not alcohol drinkers) it was so refreshing and delicious. The waiter I think Mako and owner Mr Ali were very attentive; they ensured that all our needs were met. Following this heavy meal ( keep in mind you can’t finish the dish- we asked for doggy bags) we had further drinks and tea; we couldn’t have enough in this fabulous place; we really enjoyed our time; the atmosphere, cleanliness and hospitality was out of this world. At the end the owner Mr Ali offered a very generous discount as we visited for the first time. I will definitely visit again and become a regular customer. I recommend this place for you as well at least to try the grills Many thanks Steak house for the amazing food and service we enjoyed our time here.

Estuve un par de veces para el menú de la hora del almuerzo - gran relación calidad-precio en £ 13 para 2 platos incluyendo un refresco. Gran relación calidad-precio, buena comida, un entorno agradable, así que ¿por qué no tan ocupado? Ambas veces solo un par de mesas. Fiesta de 4 de nosotros esta semana, los entrantes fueron, alitas de pollo, hummus con pan pitta y queso y aceitunas, todo bellamente preparado y sabroso. Luego una mezcla de envolturas y sándwiches de bistec todos servidos con papas fritas y ensalada lateral. Generosas porciones y ensalada fresca crujiente. El servicio de bebidas era bastante lento, pero estábamos teniendo un almuerzo familiar tranquilo, así que no es demasiado problema. ¡Volveremos!

So when we sat at our first table it was sticky, covered in crumbs and gross, I told a member of staff and we were moved to another table which was also unclean and just icky... They wiped it but still, not a great first impression!! We ordered 2 half pints of bierre moretti, it took ages to arrive and we actually had to ask for them after a while, got it and it was weird tasting and a bit flat, another thumbs down 👎. To be fair the food did come out pretty fast and the fillet steaks were lovely (maybe a tad over done) but nothing to really moan about. After the food was put on our table we didn't see a member of staff again. No one came to ask if we needed anything or if we were happy.... Ordered 2 strawberry daiquiris and it was (coming from an ex cocktail waitress) the worst cocktail and just the worst drink from a restaurant/pub/club we've EVER HAD. I would not recommend it to be honest and it was a bit over priced. Gutted really

The Steak and Service was excellent. Went hungry, well satisfied. Only point I'd like to mention is the choice of sauce to go with the steak I.e. peppercorn sauce, in my view should have been included in the price of the steak, and not an extra charge; spent enough on that, but yes, very good!

Food was bland didn't taste nice at all .the kids food was very shabby the fish fingers were pale and all crusty .the muscle starter was tasteless got 5 muscles. I got a prawn linguine which was bland had water in the bottom of the dish .my lads got steak it had more fat in it then meat .the chios was rock hard .the only good thing about the place was the cocktails .definitely wouldn't ever go again , and for the price you pay a shambles

Food was superb. Took my daughter there for her birthday only because she lives in Hull. I would go there again if I was in the area. It was well decorated inside. Staff are friendly.

The food was clearly of good quality, but for a steak house I was very disappointed that they didn't know how to cook a steak medium rare - I ordered the fillet steak, which turned out to be 3 bits of steak rather than 1. The person I was with ordered a Ribeye, which was so flat it looks like a frying steak. His was over done, but he doesn't like to kick up a fuss so he ate it, mine was over done so I asked for it to be done again, the 2nd time they presented it, it was closer to blue. At this point I didn't want to send it back again so I ate it. Despite the mess around it was still a juicy and flavourful steak. Our server was apathetic, monotone and just didn't seem to care about anything. She didn't write down our order to begin with, so when the our food first came out we had the wrong sides/adjustments on our plates. No apologises or explanations, just kind of expected us to deal with it. The onion rings seemed like the cheap ones you get at a supermarket to oven cook at home, they also came out after my 2nd steak had been brought to the table, nearly 15 minutes after the first steak hit the table. Clearly forgot about the side order when preparing the main. For the price point I'd have expected a decent server, who atleast showed emotion, and the steak to be cooked how requested. Aside from this, the food itself was as expected - chips/roasted baby potato sides were lovely. I know that Newland Steak house has the capacity to be really nice, but definitely reluctant to try again.

Impressive selection of exquisite food that I thought was cooked excellently. On a table of 5, each with a different meal; the food was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Unfortunately though the drinks took far too long to come, wig a few being forgotten and requiring a re order. The shellfish and crustacean dishes were served without waste shell plate or a finger wash bowl. And the general service was lacking for a very quiet time of day. But, the food is excellent. Some adjustments to the service and it would be a truly excellent restaurant.

Very disappointing for the price ... Chips undercooked and way too big ... Same with the roast potatoes way too hard ... To not serve beer battered onion rings with a steak is a sin ... They were mushed up onion in something resembling an outer coating that's was not a form of batter ... Then the service ... Paper napkins ... Staff not attentive ... Not clearing plates for 15 mins ... Instead chatting together on the phone ... No pudding menus offered .... Then 20 mins later still no bill ... Had to ask for it ourselves ... Disappointing ... The details are required when you ask for so much money for the meal you offer ... Bad really

Usually I give this place 5 out of 5 but tonight its a 3, I ordered a medium ,/ well done steak it came rare , I saw the waitress and told her and she took it away and changed it immediately, and it was delicious, then my wife ordered chocolate pudding and they brought chocolate cake and custard , saw the waitress again and it was changed immediately, this is a great place to eat , it was just one of those things and we will be back soon

Arrived this evening at 6pm, to a near empty restaurant. Probably three tables occupied out of 25. Went to sit down and a young arrogant woke told us to move, as the tables booked. But there's no reserved sign on any of the tables, and you're almost empty. Doesn't matter. It's booked. Ok. We'll find another restaurant. There's tons of them down this street. The young whipper-snapper didn't give a hoot. Why should he. He's not paying the overheads.

If you're looking for a relaxing meal and talk to each other, this is NOT the place! 2nd time here, hoped it wouldnt be as bad, but it was worse. We arrived, were shown to a table near a very loud party of 8, but asked to sit elsewhere. You couldn't get away from the noise though. They were drunk, shouting and swearing. The staff did nothing, even if ot was to adl them to keep it down slightly. We are all paying customers. It didnt help that the music was loud as well. They kept shouting over each other. No thought to anyone else in the restaurant, no respect for other people. We couldn't have a conversation as we couldn't hear each other. Noticed other people staining to have a conversation too. Same happened on our fisr visit, a table if 4 were loud and rowdy and staff couldnt control snything. Such a pity as the food was good, but we couldn't enjoy it, or relax, or hear each other. Spoilt our evening. I doubt we'll be back. Don't think the staff really cared to be honest!

Me and my partner come here fairly regularly, we absolutely love it the food here is spot on honestly creds to the chef and not expensive at all, the staff are amazing, very friendly i can not rate rhe place enough

This is so good we drive all the way from Derby for the steaks. Humas starters are incredible.

Sirloin steak was not cooked as requested, being very much medium rather than rare, but was still tender and tasted good. The chips, peppercorn sauce and the gammon steak tasted excellent as well

We visited this restaurant on a Wednesday and we found it to be very quiet when we arrived but a few more came as we were finishing. The gentleman taking the order was not concentrating and made a few mistakes appeared uninterested. The food came on wooden boards so the steak juices was running on to the table but also into the rest of the food. I honestly didn’t understand the choice of wooden boards to serve food!! it really didn’t give off the affect intended. The write up on the steak sounded good but was disappointing. The sauce as an added extra wasn’t good, also run off the serving board. Potatoes was nice but four half’s really wasn’t enough. Parts of the salad wasn’t at its best. This full experience led to a very disappointing dinner. This restaurant is mismatch and very confusing!! The food is priced middle to high bracket so the decor really needs a rethink. I found some areas needing attention especially the disabled toilet. The wall was dirty near the baby changing and the full toilet holder was thick dust ( not acceptable) Overall this restaurant is tired and certainly not somewhere to visit for that special treat! Ditch the awful plastic flowers! Dress the tables properly and definitely put together a dress code.

Wow, being a massive meat lover this place did not disappoint, all I can say is for a family night out, so glad we opted to come here rather then take our Normal approach and go out of town for an enjoyable meal, the Sirloin steak was cooked to perfection, yum yum yum, we couldn’t finish the full steak and so took the rest home, however my 9 year old son, Bloody ate the whole thing, now that was impressive!!! This boy is such a bad eater and to see him demolish his steak is a total testament to the Steak House.defo will be spreading the word to my family and friends and our Muslim brothers and sisters, oh did I forget to mention THIS PLACE SERVES HALAL💙💙💙

Not usually one to write a review as I take a bad experience with a pinch of salt and know not to return, however my experience here was something else. We pre-booked a table of 20 for bottomless brunch for my hen do a month in advance and paid the deposit to secure our table, when my mum rang up a couple of days before to confirm we were still coming, they had no booking in the system and denied any knowledge of mum ever putting down a deposit, after some time on the phone they all of a sudden ‘found a booking for 20 people under the incorrect name’. This was fine because at least we could still go, however we were not filled with confidence. My mum also questioned their gluten free menu for one of the party to which they confirmed they could cater for with no issues. When we arrived, there were no bottomless brunch menus on the table, the manager eventually brought our menus that he had just printed around 20 minutes after the last guests arrived, and left again to give us time to choose what we wanted. The menu we were handed stated ‘House Spirit and Mixer’ was included within the botttomless brunch, on the table already was a normal drinks menu which listed all house spirits the bar offered, so when we came to order drinks we were confused when the manager refused to serve any spirit other than vodka as this was not stated on the menu. As the drinks were being served, the staff were unable to confidently confirm which drinks were full fat coke and which were diet, this meant that the party member with diabetes did not drink anything other than the first glass of diet coke, which she ordered before anyone turned up and watched being poured. The lack of confidence of knowing what drinks they were serving was again not great and led to a poor experience. One of the party required a gluten-free option, however they did not have a specific menu for this allergen, they were told to just pick anything from the normal menu and they can just ‘make it gluten free’. This did not fill us with confidence and so she ordered the Eggs Benedict as it looked like the easiest option on the menu to ‘make gluten free’. When the food arrived it was just a couple slices of bacon with a poached egg and sauce. There was no gluten free bread substitute or anything extra to make up for the missing ingredients. Later in the evening she started to experience a lot of discomfort and it turned out she was having a celiac flare up and had to go home early, she has since been very ill. I had to write this review as I do not want other people with allergies to have the same experience, it seems as though they do not know how to stop cross contamination between allergens and it could be much worse for somebody else. This was very unfortunate as the food for the rest of the party was amazing, however I don’t think anyone will be returning as the attitude and customer service from the manager himself was appalling. If you can’t cater for a large group, or allergies, then this should have been stated from the off and we could have booked to go somewhere else.

went on valentine’s day to what me and my partner expected to be a lovely meal. when we arrived it looks like a pub instead of a steakhouse which is disappointing. we booked a table and was told because it was so busy to ‘just find a seat’ . we then waited over 30 minutes just to be brought a menu. the wait for the food was not that long however upon arrival i was served the wrong sides and the steak was cold and fatty, we saw this on countless occasions throughout the night happen to other people, even chefs coming out to serve food to tables which didn’t order that food , with drinks and also whole meals. after finishing our food nobody came to clear the table and we waited over an hour just to get the bill, and we had to ask three different servers for this and none of them brought it so in frustration we went to the bar and asked for it. we were then charged 10% service charge for literally no service at all i am extremely disappointed and angry with the poor service and ridiculous circus that was served to us on valentine’s day. will not be coming back ever again.

An excellent meal served here, the staff are friendly and personable it's definitely worth a visit. Best of all not a vegetarian to be seen.

Open for online orders, allowed me to make a £60 order and the restaurant accepted it! They left it for over an hour until the driver went to collect and told the driver to tell me to cancel my order as the kitchen is closed.. yet still open for online orders?! Why would the restaurant accept my order, they should have declined it or rang and told me they couldn't do it. It's now 10pm and I'm having to fight for a refund as the restaurant refused to cancel on their end and have no food. An absolute joke!!!!
