From coming to Manchester arms I love the staff they are all so friendly the drinks are amazing and the events they put on are so much fun the music is awesome they are always happy and smiley the staff and the customers overall I love it here

Old historic pub in the heart of Hull's Old Town. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a good choice of beers lager and cider including real ales served on hand pumps. The modernised interior slightly spoils it. There is outside seating area at the front of the pub. Within a few hundred yards of six pubs ideally placed for a pub crawl, it is definitely worth a visit.

This was a relaxing pub for drinking, with a throwback design incorporating lights during the Christmas season! The lining throughout and frames on the wall add to this design, counter is neat and staff were welcoming. I enjoyed a pint of San Miguel, sitting at the comfortable cushioned seating in the cleanliness of the quiet area!

This is a great little pub .. a gem of a find while working in Hull .. Tanya and Tina are incredibly friendly and welcoming as were the local clientele. If you're looking for a quiet drink with a friendly atmosphere with a good selection of drinks on offer (try their signature shot!!) This is the place ... Will most certainly be back ... 😉

Great little pub, great tunes in the background, but not so loud that you can't chat. Friendly bar staff and not crammed full so you can't get to the bar, good atmosphere. We didn't eat so can't comment on food.

Had my surprise 40th here, love this pub, nothing was too much trouble, the landlady Tina accommodate to every needs my daughters wanted, great selection of drinks, not over priced either, music was fab, such a friendly atmosphere, thankyou for making my 40th one to remember 😀

Went for drinks this afternoon and my sister joked with the barmaid who was wearing a Hull FC shirt that it wasn’t their day today having lost the derby match . The barmaid replied that she was charging for a pint of cider on top of anyone’s bill who mentioned the rugby ! My sister paid for 3 halves of lager on her phone and did not realise she had been charged £14.30 for the drinks !! She did not say anything as does not like confrontations and did not tell me until we had left the pub as she knew I would have confronted the barmaid !! Disgusted that this happened and wish it had been me that she had charged as I would have definitely not let this go !! Have used this pub many times over the years but never again !!

Popped into this lovely oldy worldly pub before heading home from a day out in Hull on Sunday. Lovely barmaid and friendly regulars. Definatley recommend this pub for anybody fancying a drink at any time of day or any part of a trip.

Used to be a good pub years ago, but the beer is now terrible.

Quaint pub, a few Sunday drinkers , loud staff member who shouted rather than talked . Male toilets very dirty. Wouldn’t go back.

In an area with a plethora of twee, old fashioned pubs and trendy, modern style bars, the Manchester Arms stands out as being decidedly different. This is what I’d call a basic, non-pretentious pub. There is no old fashioned panelling or ceiling beams; the decor is pretty plain- although I do like the leaded window panes above the main windows. On a previous visit some years ago the pub was very busy and didn’t really float my boat, but on an early Thursday evening we enjoyed the ambience of a quiet, local bar. The service was friendly and the beers spot on. Enjoyed it.

Fantastic little pub great atmosphere and people

Spent time in here on New Year's eve and it was very busy with a good lively atmosphere, we decided to move on elsewhere and after getting to where we went my wife realised she had left her handbag hanging on the chair she had been sat on 🤦 I ran back to Manny Arms and asked the two girls behind the bar if they had seen it, which they had and had kept it safe along with all its contents behind the bar. Good honest people are hard to find these days but the ones behind the bar here are a pair of diamonds. Thanks again girls 👍👍

Had a business outing a few weeks ago and met up at the Manchester Arms. Lovely little pub, warm and welcoming. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Will certainly be returning the next time we're in Hull City Centre. Great selection of bar drinks too. Thank you for hospitality.

Great atmosphere and a lot of character to both the venue and the staff! Always friendly banter and service with a chin wag when its quieter. Well known for it's tasty 'Sh!t on the grass', served in multiple of 4s, not 3s or 5s, but they are so easy going down there's no harm in having 2 yourself if there's an extra one left over!

Nice clean place lovely landlady

Dog friendly and child friendly. This place is what you expect of a pub, warm and cosy feel to it. The male bartender was friendly and approachable, but each of our group where made to feel a tad uncomfortable with one of the bar staff constantly handing out stern looks. Others where drinking beer and it looked fairly flat, maybe we popped on the wrong day and they where at the bottom of the barrel. Major plus on being dog and child friendly though, was nice to sit in and have a quiet drink with the dog and children in tow.

A great pub that myself and friends have used for about 45 years. Over the years even though it hasn't really changed that much it's still a great pub to visit.

What a great place to visit. Friendly and efficient staff with a great range of drinks. We had pints and I had a double whisky one for the road as they say. If you are out and about this place is worth a visit, again in the characterful old side of Hull.

Been and visited Manchester arms a couple of times the atmosphere is great, all the staff are very friendly and polite I would definitely recommend to anyone to visit this pub it’s a brilliant great local.

As a disabled person I have only good things to say about the team at Manchester Arms in Hull. We stopped for a rest and we’re welcomed with open arms by Tina and her staff very helpful and was no trouble all for them to carry my order to a table I walk with crutches and no problem at all in fact to save me getting up they checked we were ok and took our order and brought back to the table. Very welcoming and friendly team five star service

Came here before our night out because we wanted to support local bars rather than just spoons, but got treated by customers and staff as though we weren’t welcome and staff made a big deal of asking for ID MULTIPLE times, can understand if we were roudy but we came in quiet and sober ? Honestly won’t be coming back I’m 22 got treated like I was 17 and not welcome

It seems like a great pub, but they didn't need to have the music on "stun volume" 🤷‍♂️ We were served quickly and it was quite busy, but it's a small place, hence why it didn't such loud. It may have been quieter in the back room, but it was chocker-full. (I know I sound old, with regards the music, but even the staff struggled to even hear our order 😢)

Deeply disappointed by the security contractors used by this pub, outside the Manchester Arms at 1614 on Monday afternoon one of their staff swearing loudly whilst unloading their work vehicle into the pub. The other snorted and spat out a load of phlegm from behind the car almost hitting myself and my family. He was also smoking a joint. Having worked in healthcare for 15 years, the smell is unmistakable. Deeply unprofessional particularly during a global pandemic. I'd highly suggest avoiding this organisation. Will be reporting to SIA.

Drinks are reasonably priced and the staff are always really nice they go out there way to make you feel welcome one of my favourite pubs in the town, I’ve been during covid restrictions and they are very clean and follow the restrictions, These ladies are hard workers and actually care about there customers. Manchester arms is defiantly worth a visit
