The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Yorkshire and The Humber

My fiancé booked myself, my Mum, and my Auntie here to have cream teas for my hen do. The lengths the staff went to, to make it perfect was absolutely amazing. They had taken so much care to pick us the most delicious scones, strawberries dipped in chocolate, mini shortbread hearts...I would highly recommend the cream teas, and the staff are amazing. Thank you to all of you for making my day so special.

Missing a Fanta lemon can and there was some foreign object I don’t know what in the mash potatoes

Nos alojamos cerca y decidimos probar The Waggon and Horses para nuestra cena. Éramos una familia de 4 con un perro y me las arreglé para reservar una mesa en línea para la zona de perros. Caminamos desde nuestro hotel que tomó poco menos de una hora (Hilton Doubletree Sheffield Park) Cuando llegamos el pub no estaba ocupado, pero teníamos una mesa reservada a la derecha del bar y un joven encantador nos mostró a la mesa con menús. El nuevo menú acababa de ser lanzado ese día, así que el personal estaba emocionado de compartir con nosotros. El menú para niños era excelente y tenía buenas opciones para los más aventureros, Massaman curry y lasaña todo hecho en casa, lo que fue un buen cambio de las opciones beige habituales que se obtienen en la mayoría de los lugares. No hay menú para niños, pero eso no nos molestó, se obtiene un refresco con la comida principal. Nuestro hijo tenía una pizza de masa madre (pollo, pepperoni y cebolla caramelizada) y pur hija tenía la lasaña que ambos disfrutaron. Fuimos un miércoles que era la noche de pastel, yo tenía el pastel de pollo con patatas fritas y verduras que era precioso y una buena porción. Mi marido tenía el pastel de carne con puré de patatas y verduras. Los dos disfrutamos del pastel y tenían un montón de relleno, nuestra única crítica fue que la pastelería era bastante espesa y dura, pero eso era solo nosotros siendo exigente. El personal es encantador y amable y claramente se preocupó por el pub y la comida servida y dio la bienvenida a cualquier comentario. Preciosos espacios exteriores que imagino que en verano serían muy populares. Encantador pub y sin duda volvería a visitar si estuviéramos en la zona.

No fue la mejor experiencia de un Slug... lo cual es una pena porque somos grandes fans. Sentimos que éramos un estorbo para la camarera. Era un domingo tranquilo por la noche, éramos los únicos dos parados en el bar esperando ser servidos. Mi amiga pidió Watermelon Coolers pero se decepcionó cuando no recibió sus dulces de sandía - menores pero aún así son las pequeñas cosas : (, lo empeoró saber que podíamos ver un frasco lleno de ellos en la parte trasera de la barra. Pedí tés helados de Long Island que eran increíbles, excepto perderse las cerezas - de nuevo nada importante, pero esos pequeños detalles cuando los consigues en todas partes.

Comida muy cara, de calidad terrible servida por personal indiferente. Un edificio precioso. Muchos más, muchos mejores lugares para comer cerca.

This food is outstanding We stayed at middle house last year and we had b&b so breakfast was 10/10 we went back on Friday night we tried to book rooms but they were full but we did have evening meal and it was outstanding so we've booked to go back for another stay happy days

Clean overall went in to order food she said a 45 min wait then 15 mins later she came and took our order I got chicken tikka masala was ok not amazing the boiled rice was cold the naan was rock hard my partner order the steak and ale pie with chips and garden peas when it came he got mushy peas pie was ok the chips were like door steps they were delicious really tasty

Similar to a previous reviewer, I thought the place was a bit disorganised. We arrived after 12 and ordered the soup. Took a while for someone to take our order, despite there only being only 6 other customers in the place at that point, and at least four waiting staff. Sat for another 20 mins with no soup coming and very little coming out to the tables to other diners. I measn, how long does it take to ladle out two soups, which I presume has been made in advance? In the end I went to the cashdesk and asked had they forgotten. Within 2 mins the soup arrived with apologies. The soup was delicious but as the cafe started filling up with lots of other customers (and very little activity from the staff) we decided to forego the dessert. Either there is only one poor person in the kitchen trying to cater for everyone, or the staff need better training. Sorry, but we won't be going back.

Tomó el Mrs Sunday Night por primera vez en años y parecen ser personal nuevo, ambos eran increíbles, charlamos con los dos mientras trabajaban y el lugar estaba impecable. Ahora he pasado por un mal período, pero está mejorando mucho.

We called into the garden centre and decided to have tea & toast the staff were friendly and the cafe was busy even at 930 am and was very clean. The pot of tea arrived promptly but we had to wait 20 minutes for our toast to arrive. The 3 staff behind the counter were busy talking to each other and we could clearly see that the toast wasn’t even being done. Eventually it came over and we had four slices of toast which were very lightly toasted and only to pats of rock hard butter to spread on the toast. Could do a lot better tbh

A great place with good food and excellent staff but lets itself down by poor maintenance. Only two coffee machines and one always broken. Every toilet door in the men’s room is broken missing seats and half of the toilets won’t flush. Reported to the duty manager every month for the last four months and the same answer… we are looking into it.

We should have known it was terrible when we walked in on a Sunday afternoon and it was empty! We ordered Sunday lunch, my husband couldn't eat his and I had a stomach ache afterwards. The beef was terrible, tasteless and a weird texture. We ignored so many red flags. But hey you live and learn! It was souless and such a shame in such a prime location. We won't be returning. I suppose we wanted to give it a chance. But they definitely need to rethink how they are doing things. Because the place is dead. In that location it should be busy. Even the Atmosphere was stale, Listening to 80's pop and brochures displayed for the Cotswolds and the south. I suspect it's not run by locals. They don't understand Yorkshire and what it is to be Northern. Like I said such a bloomin shame!

They say in these parts that God is a Yorkshireman. Well he certainly left a piece of heaven in Appletreewick in the shape of the New Inn. All the team are friendly and helpful, and the chef is an artist who uses food as his chosen medium. We will be back!

I am disgusted to say we paid £4.50 for 2 tiny cup of tea they were what l would have give a child can not get over it even the staff were embarrassed when l mentioned it and said it had all changed and not for better .How people can spend their hard earned cash on this place is beyond me me ,won’t be stepping in one again .Go to bex that’s what you call a good cuppa and food very dissatisfied customer

Very disappointed with this tea shop. No toilet facilities, which is inconvenient, and the staff were rude and unhelpful. Not worth the visit. Won’t be returning
