Clean overall went in to order food she said a 45 min wait then 15 mins later she came and took our order I got chicken tikka masala was ok not amazing the boiled rice was cold the naan was rock hard my partner order the steak and ale pie with chips and garden peas when it came he got mushy peas pie was ok the chips were like door steps they were delicious really tasty

Went Sunday 3rd of December for a family meal, 13 adults 3 children, great price for fantastic food, everyone enjoyed their meals, staff were so friendly and polite, place very clean, good atmosphere and will highly recommend, Sunday lunch not to be missed large was huge, thank you so much for a lovely few hours, we will be back.

service was poor, booked for a big table a few days prior and didn’t mention anything about pre ordering on the phone, when we turned up they only let 5 people order at a time, therefore none of us could eat together. the pizza was raw and stuck to the plate, just an overall bad experience. should’ve stayed closed to be honest if i could give it 0 i would

Just walked in for a meal and dogs in one came and sat at my feet! Sorry dogs and food do not mix! Make a separate seating area by all means, but not everybody loves dogs. If we had not have waited 10mins to be served with a drink would have walked out however will not be eating.

Mixed reviews but thought we would give it a try. Well worth trying. Very quiet when we arrived at 5 30 but its a huge pub and will take some flying. Good service, we only had a main, no room for dessert. Chicken fajitas were fab, sirloin cooked to perfection and a good size steak and Scampi both with homemade chips and a side of onion rings with the steak. If you've not been give it a try, good honest pub food. Fresh ingredients, cooked to order, what's not to like.

Great food and a nice pint. Great selection of drinks available. I will definitely come again for a tea time pint on my way home

This was a return visit for lunch after a lovely visit for drinks earlier in the month. We had jacket potatoes with chilli and a jacket with beans and cheese, the addition of a side salad and coleslaw just made it even better! Thanks to the great service and comfy surroundings it's a good place for an afternoon with friends!

Went here after seeing reviews on TripAdvisor. Great food, drinks. Cute toy box for kids to play outside and goalposts. Would definitely visit often if we lived closer!

Always excellent and friendly service. Usually go on a weekend for a drink and a game of pool and so my son can have a Sunday dinner. Never had a bad meal here always very nice food and delicious desserts. When there a fun day or event on aswell the pub and staff really excel and have had some of the best bank Holidays here!

We’ve not been in the lupset for years (used to be regulars ) and decided to come here for tea after umpteen suggestions to my fussy teen daughter on where to eat out . I ordered the cheese burger and she chose fish and chips . I was amazed when the food arrived , it looked delicious , proper home cooked food and generous portions . Both our meals were very very tasty and we’ll definitely be coming back . The girl who served us was really pleasant and friendly . I’m so glad I said ‘what about the lupset ?’.

Too long to arrive and steak and ale pie had to much ale in and they don't listen to ur orders and they don't say about the chips with pepper on xoxox

Fabulous gammon, egg, peas and the tastiest chips I've eaten years. Lovely staff and food at reasonable prices. Will definitely return and recommend to anyone.

We visited the Lupset for the first time and we was really impressed. The pub has a lovely feel to it and the staff were more than happy to help us. Food was really enjoyable and we are very excited for our next return!! Definitely recommend!!

Honestly the last time I ate here in November the food was questionable … and then visited again this year to find it closed to food … however passing through again over the weekend and thought I’d give it another go. Lady with blue hair was lovely, food was good. All in all glad I gave it another go!

Food gross I really wouldn’t bother. Sat in a dark unlight area. Food cold, only serving limited menu. Either be a food serving pub or not. Bar staff lovely. I’m guessing manager has blue/blonde hair. She’s got a lot to Learn in the industry. The first being manners. She obviously packs the pub with her *friends* all on drugs with looks of it. Locals happily push in front of the queue demanding they get their drinks first. The pub felt unwelcoming.

Had a festive fayre meal last week and extremely enjoyed it! Everything was cooked to perfection, meals were brought out promptly and everything ran smoothly! There was a little wait at the bar for drinks but it was to be expected with the busyness of the place and the few staff (working very hard) that was on! Will definitely be returning, very much enjoyed it!

WAs very dissapointed with the festive fayre meal today. The vegatbles was too hard to.eat Hadnt been cooked enough. The boiled potatoes with the salmon was too hard the service was rubish with only one person on for a party of 13. Very dissapointed. Hope the christmas dinner on christmas day will be better. We will see

We've been going for last 2 months food was excellent we used to go 18 months to years ago went downhill then but last couple of months we've been going food it has been excellent so good we are booked for Christmas dinner and the staff and manager were very good

As soon as you enter the pub is clean and has a welcoming atmosphere! Ordering is easy and the food is sublime! The team is polite, chatty and easily one of the best parts about the visit! Looking forward to visiting again!

First time eating here I was a little worried by the first impressions of the interior ( I don’t think the vacuum fancied coming out today) some of the seats were badly stained so we just moved area’s Both ordered the fish & chips ( 2 meals for £8.99) the food arrived in no time and it looked and tasted delicious. The fish was cooked to perfection. Somehow we even managed a pudding we shared the sticky toffee & date one with custard again delicious the dark toffee sauce on top was excellent. I would eat here again.. maybe try the Sunday roastsWell done to the chef she cooked everything to perfection

One worker on very abrupt and the website says its open until 11pm midweek however the barman called last orders at 9.20pm there were three of us all spending money here and playing pool he couldn't even be bothered to see if there were any chalk very unhelpful and as I said before abrupt and pretty obnoxious.

The lupset is our local pub, new landlord taken over and already you can see a difference, I hope the chain involved gives him a budget to bring the lupset back up to standards expected. Perhaps happy hour to get people back in! Keep up the good work already noticeable.

Came for Sunday Lunch and certainly wasn't disappointed! The team were friendly and attentive guiding us on what was on offer and the best meals suited to our tastes! There was hardly a wait and the meals were gorgeous, will definitely be returning!

Called in here on way back from trip out with grandchildren to Thornes Park. The bar staff & service was very good. Food was typical pub food but reasonably priced and decent. The children’s meals were very good value. My husband had the vegan fish & chips and was very impressed with it. Fortunately the weather was sunny so the kids had a run about in the beer garden. The only suggestion I would put forward is that they install a little more items in the beer garden for the kids to play on. We would definitely return if out and about in the area.

We have been coming here regular so time for a review. The staff are always friendly and the food is always to a good standard. And as per the title, value for money is superb.

I came here with a friend for a quite drink and immediately it was like some vendetta was held against me we were both spoken down to from rebecca and given evils from the rest of the staff. The assistant manager and his girlfriend I believe it was were both arguing with each other on the floor with not a care in the world both just in front of customers. I believe this form of behaviour should not be tolerated and I am shocked and disappointed

Memorable Evening at The Lupset sizzler. Table was booked & lovely table by the window. Danny the Manager /Barman/Waiter wore all the hats & juggled excellent service which made a super evening out with special friends. Nothing was too much trouble for Danny he was so accommodating and friendly. The food was excellent- we love the sizzler menu as there is something for everybody . Recommend steak & ale pie , also hunters chicken plus the halloumi fajitas. Very reasonable prices too & special offersThanks so much to the chef behind the scenes too - surely that couldn’t have been Danny too!

Despite the place being quite busy and there was a minimal wait to be served, we had a very enjoyable experience! The food we ordered was delightful, particularly scampi and chips. The staff were attentive and friendly, made it a welcoming and pleasant experience for the family

We visited today with my in laws , 8 in total including 2 small children. It was the only place available at short notice and now I know why. The place is filthy, chairs and carpets stained, tables and menus sticky. One meal sent back as it had never been fish and chips. Another chicken dish was cold and had clearly been microwaved as it was hot on the outside but cold inside. The steak pie crust was so hard we couldn’t cut into it. Sweet corn was soggy, the brisket dry and unpleasant. I would never go back there and wouldn’t recommend anyone else does either.

guy in charge seemed to have a problem from the min we walked in came out at 9 pm n said kids out at 9.45 we said ok went inside to get daughter toy from machine at 915 to be told were not turning it back on whitch made my daughter cry

We were served quickly by the friendly bar team and taken to a table. We ordered two Sunday roasts which was brought out quickly and looked beautiful! Had an extremely enjoyable time and the team were brilliant the entire time!

So disappointed with our visit today. Asked for a medium rare steak and was presented with a well done one. Far too overdone and was chewy so told staff who offered to replace it (fair enough, thanks) however came to the table, told me a new steak was cooking and asked me to “give back” the original steak as the chef would like it returning. Gave the steak back which was fine, didn’t want it anyway but I was then left at the table with the remainder of the meal (jacket potato and peas) to either eat on its own or let it go freezing cold while I waited another ten mins for the new piece to come. Just a shambles really. Partner also ordered steak - his was cooked how he had requested however was mostly inedible as was basically an 8oz lump of fat.

I was there last week and i ask for a jug of pins and they just served whit pins,limonade and ice ,they didn't have any fruts,mint or cucumber, and many other times that i been there was bad services and always missing something.

We have just had tea at the Lupset for a party of 16 the food was really good I had the smothered steak which was lovely. The price was very reasonable and the Birthday Girl was given a free bottle of Champagne on the house which was a a very nice touch!

Went yesterday and had an excellent meal. I had chicken New York with jacket and peas and my husband had pie, chips and mushy peas. The service was excellent and because I had voucher it was very good value. The lady behind the bar was friendly and helpful. Well done to all of the staff we shall definitely visit over the Easter holidays.

Had a fab tea out for Mothers day... lovely food and great staff especially a gent named Antony/Tony.. he was so welcoming friendly and was on the go from us arriving to leaving .. made the evening of all the family we came with ... thank you

The food was good but the menu is very limited so don’t think we will go there again. The staff are very good and we were pleased with the value for money but we like a wider variety.

Went at 10:45 am for breakfast but the pub was closed. It said 11am to open so went back at 11.10am and was greeted by a member of staff who told us that there wouldn't be any food all day until possibly 4:30pm. This is not good for business and for us who lived close by and thought we had found a new place to come eat and drink.Unreliable place!

visited on the 12th september with parents.never been before but seen comments from friends.so thought id give it a try.big spacious pub.it was quiet,so only got served by one person,think adam was his name who seemed a top guy.had the double dip rib eye,chicken pieces and nachos.didnt expect much but i have to say it was all really nice.parents said theirs was too.good value too.will definitely be going again

Went in as an off chance to play pool. We had been their a while, so ordered a sub sandwich and garlic bread n dirty fries. Well the bar tender looked like he didnt want to be their.... well he brought over our food and well what can i say...... salad was brown 2 slices of prastrami, the bread was rock solid (i could have used it as a door wedge) cauldslaw tasted off. The garlic bread was burnt and hard the dirty fries, were chunky chips with bacon and galipenos on no cheese or seasoning.

Called in for quick meal , dirty sticky tables, drunk boisterous persons in tv area , these are the good points. Food a joke cold chips onion rings soggy, i had mixed grill but chicken over cooked , steak full of fat and gristle, i cannot describe the gammon adequately but it would be ok to use as a sole on your shoes , staff are not very good and very slow serving but been to other Flaming Grills and all very similar, suggest a name change to The Flaming Hell , don't waste your time here.

Decided to try the Veggie one as fancied something different. It was light and a fab change will have that again if I'm in for lunch.

Aparecimos en el lugar para encontrarlo solo lleno de gente bebiendo con fútbol de alta en demasiado grande en la pared televisores uno en frente del otro. Nos pusieron en una mesa en una de las paredes junto a uno de los televisores. Nos sentimos como si estuviéramos en la pantalla a la gente. Entonces uno de los equipos de marcado y el "todo estalló" ventiladores jeering deleiten y en el televisor. En ese momento, me levanté y salí sin siquiera pedir. No es un lugar que recomendaría para una comida familiar.

Staff couldn't of been any more polite and welcoming. The food was gorgeous! the staff couldn't do enough for us and our 2 small children. Wide selection of the menu! Would recommend to anyone! Will definitely go back again huge puddings aswell!

Me and my friends went for a meal today at Flaming Grill, we was served by amazing guy called Gavin! He looked after us amazingly well, got us a flag and a balloon. He always made sure we was okay.The meals were beautiful and I would recommend this place tor anyone

Reasonable price for food, nice staff and lovely food. Can't moan at all. I'm on a diet and I asked for a few things cooking differently like not in oil and no dressing etc and they accommodated with no issues

Generally use the one in Castleford near jct32 but thought we would stay local and try you!Visited for tea one evening last week. Fairly quiet as it was through the week. Very welcoming. This is the first time I visited this restaurant and was delighted with the food and service. I ordered a steak from the "gluten free" menu, it came with onions, tomato chips and coleslaw, it was nice and hot. I will be visiting the Flaming Grill in the near future. To get the Gluten Free menu just ask for it. My husband and grand-daughter enjoyed their meal very much too, they had steak, their food was from the normal menu.

Food were really good and tasty I would definitely recommend in going back and all the staff were helpful and it were reasonably priced aswell

Apsolutley disgusting my friend found an insect in her salad....full refund given but the head chef didnt come out to apoljise. 1st time eating here and wont be returning bring back aire of dog!!!!

Shocking food, decomposing veg served, staff don't care what they serve you. Didn't expect the ritz but didn't expect what I throw away getting served.Do yourself a favour eat elsewhere

Was told about this so we decided to visit on a Saturday night. Place was quite busy as football was on ordered our food by a nice young man who explained the options we could have with our meal. We waited some time my partner disrespected large mixed grill with a hot hot hot sauce and trust me it was hot, my came a Rump Steak cooked exactly how I like it. Would visit again and recommend to others.

Came here for sisters birthday. (10 of us) reserved a table so we all sat together plenty of room. the place was fairly quiet and staff did seem to be rushed off there feet (probably short staffed) however the staff cracked on with it and served us at the bar for drinks after a little delay plenty of choice on the menu and reasonably priced.the waffle burger tasted amazing.no complaints and the puddings are really nice.all in all everybody enjoyed there food staff were brilliant would definitely be back!

The flaming grill on horbury road in wakefield is great. The staff are really helpful, they cant do enough for you.The food took a little longer than usual but there was a problem with the chef. Even though it took longer to come it didn't disappoint.My husband had a mixed grill but couldn't finish it as the portion was really big. I had a cheese and bacon burger with sweet potatoes fries and it was lovely.Reasonable prices too.Well worth a visit, we will be visiting again soon

The newly upgraded flaming grill horbury rd. Wakefield ( formally the lupset hotel ) is nicely fitted out newly painted and upholstered very nice and clean 4 of us arrived at 5.20 Saturday evening the place was around half full plenty of tables to choose from drinks from the bar were reasonably priced then sat down with the extensive menu lots of choices and combinations to temp the tastebuds we decided to skip starters and head straight for main courses we all had steaks in various forms with wide chooses of potatoes / salads etc quick service nicely presented and cooked to perfection ( 1 rare 1 medium 2 well done ) all arrived just as we asked on sizzling platters oh the aroma and the sound of sizzling steak with onions and mushrooms , everything we wanted arrived swiftly we were soon tucking in really tender , succulent and tasty a real weekend treat , prices were highly competitive for the area staff were keen to please checking that everything was to our satisfaction ( they offer a guarentee of a replacement or refund if all is not to your satisfaction ) we were all highly satisfied with the food quality , service and price nothing was too much trouble for the staff . Overall a very pleasant dining experience one we hope to repeat in the coming months I hope the high standards remain and don't drop after its been open a few months I'll check again soon and report back.
