if i could vote 0 i would. school kids are timed and are only allowed in the store for 5 minutes. as a young girl i feel extremely intimidated when 5 men and a woman are following me around the store. you find faeces smeared all over the toilets, clothing is completely wrecked. majority of the staff are rude and lack any social etiquette. will be taking my business elsewhere, as i hope many other people do after i have spoken to them about this. This store is disgusting and just genuinely hires rude and incompetent staff. I have manners, i have social awareness. why can you not treat me with the same respect?

Asda was massive. They had a Krispy Kreme cabinet, a Costa coffee a optician and a plant section out the door. As soon as you walk in, you can see endless aisles and many people. We were able to get everything we needed and didn't have to check if they sold it they just did. Fresh baguettes were made every day.,

What a shambles. On entry picked up one of those scan & Go handsets. £80 shopping scanned and bagged. ALL scan and go terminals were closed. There was a huge queue at the one and only human operated checkout running. The queue for the scan yourself checkouts was all around the store front. I notice that most of the checkouts had been removed from the store and replaced with around 40 self service to tills. No way is this acceptable in any fashion, therefore I left my shopping in the trolley and walked out over the road to Aldi. Shopping done in 5 minutes there and £20 cheaper too. That's the end for me with regards to ASDA

Came last week to find it closed but no signs or anything to say why. Thought maybe power issue or staffing issue, no idea. Came again tonight (2am) and there's signs saying it closes at 10pm n reopens tomorrow at 7am! I finish work at 6am, I'll be in bed by 7am, not hanging around an hour for it to open!! Arrived as usual at 6 for the weekly shop at the Wakefield store to find out the opening hours changed from 24/7 to 7-10 (no notice of any change). Then you get in to them still sorting the store out. Boxes and crates everywhere, wet floors and staff with faces that say GFY! Been using this store since the early 80's and actually worked here for a couple of years after leaving school. It used to be 5 stars but since the Brothers took over from Walmart there has been a definite change for the worse. Half empty shelves, dirty and disorganised clearing of waste card, Asda online pickers barging around with no regard, self checkouts are a nightmare with various system issues and staff who are either run off their feet or couldn't care less that you've been waiting for assistance while they chat away not evening looking to see if anyone needs help. Then there are the trolleys, now more a collect your own from the carpark system than picking them up at the front of store. No wonder their market share is dropping and to cap it off I went this morning to find that they have stopped opening 24 hours and now open at 7am, I normally shop every Saturday at 06:30 and there have been no signs or communication of the changing of opening times. Very poor and another enditement that the business just doesn't share the same values as it's customers. Come on Asda get back to providing a good customer experience for the customers that shop in-store, too much enfasis on servicing online shoppers and gimmicky Apps.

Usually this is a pleasant store to shop at, as i can do so at 2am in my own time. However they have randomly decided to scrap 24/7 hours, with no notification to the customers. The security guard told me its only for a few week, but the fact its notr been mentioned at all in my many times of shopping the last few week, is atrocious! They also did not swap the hours with the other ASDA in town, so there was still a 247 service available for those who it is very useful for.

Went to this store on the 29/05 there were just 2 manned tills on with long lines of customers at both at 4:30pm, there was a VERY RUDE till supervisor on and she stood having a irate discussion with the 2 till operators who were only voicing their opinion about the obviously disabled member of staff who was just going to replace one of them and how she could not reach the conveyor belt on the higher seat that was at the till. The supervisor Carol Johnson told them to mind their own business and to get on with their own jobs. When I first noticed this Supervisor was when she walked up to the line I was in and dumped a sign in my trolley and just walked away, it was a till closed sign which I presumed she wanted me to put at the end of my till , I’m not a mind reader so I placed it on the shelves at the side of the till. She should never talk to staff the way she did and should be respectful to customers. Maybe she needs a refresher course on customer service

I remember this place as a kid and how the staff were really friendly and helpful but these days the staff are too busy to help and when they are assisting I've had (usually female) staff rolling their eyes and being rude just because they need to approve something or clear an error on the self checkouts. Trust me, I want to get my shopping over and done with too! Also, be careful and check the use by / sell by dates on what you pick up - two chicken pasta dishes we picked up had yesterday's date on and were on the general shelf with no yellow sticker. Luckily I noticed so didn't buy. Overall not a nice experience from Asda so looks like I'll be sticking to Tesco and Aldi from now on.

Asda is Asda. It's much like any other supermarket. However, we had to pop in on Sunday morning, to buy a few bits for my father in law. Went to a checkout staffed by a person! There were only two customers in front of us. The person being served, had an issue with a voucher. So the last on the checkout called for assistance. I didn't time it, but we must have waited 10 minutes for a supervisor to attend. Purely because all the supervisors were busy helping customers in the self checkout sections! Employ more supervisors Asda, or reduce the amount of self checkouts as they don't work as well as a checkout staffed by a person!

Filthy. Most of the trolleys had rubbish in. Place clearly wasn't filled or faced overnight. We visited lunchtime Sunday. Huge swathes of empty shelves across the store. Home shopping staff racing their basket trolleys around like lunatics. Rubbish and various items dumped all around the store. From a retail perspective ranging seems to be ple ty short of what the store was designed for. Bays of random product pocketed here, there and everywhere. Nobody seems to care anymore, this used to be such a well presented store. To top things off, a blocked fire exit, on top of the dangerously loaded overstock all around the store. If this is indicative of the state of Asda with their new leadership, then it is doomed, and if this is a local issue, with poor leadership I would suggest regional management take decisive action. Awful presentation, terrible availability, and unsafe to top it off. Best part was hearing 3 of the staff on the chilled section discussing the absolute state the nightcrew had left the staff toilets in, one in particular questioning "what on earth do they do in there". I would hope that is pretty obvious!

I love Asda. Has always been my favourite supermarket, and I will travel out of my way to go here rather than somewhere else. However, over the last 18 months or so, staffing seems to have become an issue. Little or no staff in the George clothing section, which is a problem when you need assistance. Also why is there 10-15 isles of women and children’s clothes, and about 2 for men? Do men not need to wear clothes? My main problem now though is with the self service checkouts. You expect us to process and checkout ourselves, but yet there is never anyone available when something goes wrong? The other day I counted 11 red lights on, and 1 (yes, one) staff member. I’m sorry but this is not good enough. If you want us to checkout ourselves, then at the very least provide us with the support we need. After all, you’ve saved a fortune in staff since self service units were installed. Even the staff member who did eventually come said she was so stressed as there was only her on helping customers. If you value your customers and/or staff, then do something about this quickly, or you are likely to loose both. People will only have patience for for this sort of thing for so long. Your prices have gone up, but your customer care has dwindled.

Called in the cafe on the way (walking) to a garage to pick my car up. Decided on a 6-item breakfast for £3.50. I was in a bit of a rush (not their fault) but asked if I could have my sausage "well done", the lady looked down (presumably at the sausages, I couldn't see) and says "they're all well done" OK then, she then asked if I wanted to add mushrooms and toast, which I did, so my £3.50 became £4.99. No problem. Mmmm, the "well done" sausage looked like it had just been taken out of the packets, sloppy runny scrambled egg, I just ate what I could and went on my way, realised after about ten minutes walking, cursing myself for not complaining, that the extra mushrooms I paid for weren't even on my plate! There was a table behind us with 3 young lads. They were swearing loudly, using absolutely foul language, which mum could hear. They continued to throw food and went to the cutlery where milk is, and began to throw it at each other as they ran through the cafe. This milk went all over the floor. I was really concerned when mum got up she would slip. Totally unacceptable behaviour. Please take my advice. DO NOT VENTURE INTO THE CAFE AT THIS TIME. This incident was only one, as there were other tables with school kids on, who were behaving totally unacceptable. The parents should and would be totally ashamed of them. Management should really take this concern and act on it now.
