This place wasn't the best. Firstly, there was a long wait time of about an hour, which is ridiculous for a couple of burgers. The burgers were rather underwhelming as they were tiny. They were not burgers. They were sliders. It was also rather expensive. You should miss this place if you visit and instead go to the Wetherspoons or some other cheaper option.

Absolutely diabolical place avoid avoid avoid photos tell there on story disgusting place my wife pointed out but I wanted to stay should have listened left without paying for mains !!

Food and service was ok. 1 star review because the website offered a 2 for 1 deal on mocktails which wasn't honoured when it came time to pay the bill. Staff said that this only applies if you buy two of the same cocktail or mocktail but this wasn't stated anywhere.

This place is a fantastic spot for barbecue lovers! The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a night out with friends or family. The menu is packed with mouthwatering options, and the smoked meats are definitely the stars of the show. I had the pulled beef and it was incredibly flavorful and tender, just the way it should be.

On arrival the gentleman to seat us was the barman. He seated us without so much as a welcome. Once seated the menu for a BBQ restaurant was lacking well BBQ. It's burgers and hot dogs with a few extra items. I asked for some direction on the beers and the waitress knew nothing of the drinks menu. Again minimal communication and zero enthusiasm or charisma. Finally we ordered (took a while for her to return) drinks and meal together. They didn't have the beer I selected from the menu, nor did the have the sea bass someone from my table wanted. The meals were essentially thrown on the table by the barman. The food itself was OK for what it was. It was altogether dismal service. The restaurant isn't what it purports to be and to top it off has an 'optional service charge'. We had this removed as it was not deserved.

They have a solid variety of burger options, from classic to more adventurous combinations, along with a good selection of wing flavors. The menu also offers sides like fries and even milkshakes if you’re feeling indulgent.

Food was mediocre and service was worst than the food. Never again.

I am not usually a person who complains in restaurants, but this is something else. Went for a family day out and strongly regretting to choose this place. Ordered 2 Burgers, chicken stripes, mac and cheese, a cocktail, a cocktail and a beer.. it costed £75. The price includes tiny super greasy chips (the oil needed to be changed last week...), tasteless chicken, dated veg on plates, a rotten strawberry on mocktail glass, and a impossible to drink margarita cocktail (half glass of ice and lime juice that gave me hart burns after first sip. I sent it back and they did another one, not much better...

Very disappointed. The place wasn't clean (even our 4 year old refused to sit down saying it's dirty). The staff was ok however we had to prompt them to take our order, we had to wait a long time for the drinks (it wasn't really busy) and overall got the "I can't be bothered to be here" feel. When food finally arrived it was very average. My husband wanted to try this place. I don't think we will be coming back.

Went with family ( 7 people) for our first visit to this restaurant and it will be our last . food was terrible and so was the service would not recommend to anyone

Over priced - food wasn’t best, I had salmon and it was very fishy (usually not good sign) and not very tasty, got fries flavouring wrong too, kids enjoyed these but can’t go wrong with chips and burger - overall priced but staff were very helpful and pleasant

Bland, unseasoned, frozen dross. Don’t think there is a spice in the place. Even the Parmesan somehow didn’t taste of anything. Avoid!

For somewhere called "Smokys BBQ" the lack of Smoke and Barbecuing tells it own story however we thought we'd give it a try. The calamari was like chewing dry rubberbands. The ribs I can't really describe the menu stated 19lbs rack of ribs what actually came out was a single rib that must have been from a genetically engineered cow 70% fat 20% bone 10% dry flavourless meat. All the 5* review clearly come from family/friends of the business owner as there is no way they are reviewing this restaurant. Very disappointing.

Disappointing meals. Steaks overcooked and ribs not really ribs but a chewy, fatty beef short rib. Service charge knocked off but nothing else offered when we complained. We should have gone to 'spoons.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE The first red flag should have been how quiet this place was on a Friday night. The next should have been £3.95 for athe worlds smallest glass of coke. It was less than you would get in a can. We both ordered the ribeye eye steak medium. The chips were disgusting. How is it possible to ruin chips!? The oil they were cooked in tasted rank and the chips tasted muddy. But the "ribeye" steak really took the Mick. There is no way on god's green earth that it was a ribeye. God knows what part of the animal it was from. This place styles itself as a place that knows it's meat. They do not. It was gristly, grey and full of cartilage. To top of off they'd cremated it. When we complained the server even assumed we had wanted it well done. We left hungry and disappointed. Go to one of the many other restaurants in xscape. God knows how this one is still open.

The steak was cooked to perfection, with a beautiful sear on the outside and tender, juicy meat inside.The rice was perfectly seasoned, with a great balance of flavors from the soy sauce and spices.

It had been a bad week so decided to treat myself and get some ribs, my local chinese was closed so thought I'd try this place. Little did I know I was about to have 2 even worse weeks because of this. The ribs arrived mostly cold, the outside was fine but inside was all fat and cold and could not be eaten at all. The chips were fine, definitely fried twice but they were okay. It was very pricey. And it gave me horrendous food poisoning. 2 weeks off work later I still have to be careful eating solid foods and I'm tired and weak all because I wanted a treat of some overpriced ribs. Never ever ever again

Strange place. Really cold inside the restaurant and seemed to be lacking in atmosphere. The thing that really lets it down is the service. The food was actually really nice but when the waiting staff stand over you demanding that a review be left before you get your bill it's a tad off-putting. To then receive your bill and find that they've added a service charge also beggers belief. We were a family and not a large group. We wouldn't return.

Very slow service. The food was really terrible. I would say it was one of the worst burgers I even had if not the worst. You might go somewhere else and don’t waste your money and time there.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quick seating, though I did have a reservation. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The burgers were some of the best I’ve had, and the attentive service made the experience even better.

The food let this place down. Service =ok Food = cracked/chips plates, chips hard as nails, beef boiled to death, salmon dry as dust, potatoes rock hard and couldn't eat them, coffee must have had cig ash added to it to save money. If you like good food, this is not the place to go.

Never coming back to this establishment again. Ordered a milkshake, tasted like mould so sent it back. All the food I received was cold and we were missing items. Then received the bill to be charged for everything including the items that were missing and the milkshake that I didn’t have and a 12.5% service charge for service that is none existent. Would rate a 0 if I could. £144 for crap food and crap service.

Great food as always, good service one thing I would say is that they automatically add on a service charge of 12.5% on which I feel should be optional for you to add, not automatically applied. Other than this no complains.

Nice food and excellent service

Walked in on Friday evening because we couldn't get a table at Nando's. Staff were friendly and helpful, but the restaurant really wasn't clean enough. My fork had sticky residue on it, as if it hadn't been washed (staff replaced it quickly). The floor was dirty, and the menus were sticky and damaged. My main issue is that the restaurant sells itself as a grill house, but I really don't think any of the food has seen a barbecue. The peri-peri chicken had wobbly, floppy skin and tasted like it hadn't been seasoned, and just had some cold peri peri sauce plopped on it from a bottle at the end. The kids' chicken tenders were again flavourless, with hard greasy breadcrumbs. Very disappointing for the price... Particularly as there was a 12.5% service charge snuck into the bill.

Bog standard takeaway food with restaurant prices, kids meal was freezer food, to make it even worse they overcharged us £10 and we didn’t realise until we were on the motorway.

Service was okay, although 12.5% service fee added on automatically is cheeky. It should be left up to the customer to tip what they feel they want to instead of being made to have to ask to take the fee off which makes the server feel like they did something wrong. The food was average to poor. The beef rib was absolutely full of unrendered fat when you got past the outer crust. Food was expensive for what we got. Chips were terrible, you stabbed them with your fork and they just crumbled and broke but were oily. Chicken wing starter was alright and the only good thing really.

Had an absolute banger of a meal tonight with my fiancée. We had the platter and a few beers. Our server (Nicholas I think he was called) was a diamond! Knew what he was talking about, recommended a cracking beer to go with the platter which complimented it perfectly! He was a good laugh, too! We aren't from this area and he recommended a few places to go and a few decent bars to drink in. Cracking lad! Will be back next time we are up this way! Cheers, Nicholas!

What a great place you’ve got here. Nick is a credit to you, what a nice guy! Charming and not in your face like some waiters - he definitely has a good balance. The restaurant was so clean and the service was amazing. The food was delicious. We had burgers that were great with every bite and the smoky sauce was yummy! We had some fab smoky shakes too. Will be returning!

Myself, my wife and two children came for an early lunch on a Wednesday in the summer holidays. We ordered from the lunch menu and a couple of mains - it took 40 minutes to arrive and at one point the lights above our table went off. The food was tasty enough but my Korean brisket burger arrived lukewarm and the chips were nice but was like a full portion of the crispy bits at the end of having eaten the proper ones. To be fair I had the opportunity to raise about the burger when the server asked if everything was ok but I chose to not say anything. I won't be rushing back unfortunately. Pricy and just ok.

The 2 female staff were very welcoming and attentive, food arrived after a wait explained to our grandsons you can get fast food or fresh food has fast as a restaurant can serve it didn't disappoint all our food was very tasty burgers were a tad on the small side but tasty, loaded fries were great. Cocktail and milkshakes were really nice. Our only downside was when we paid the bill a male member of staff hounded me for a review I couldn't get a WiFi signal so he said he would sort I couldn't sign in to Google but the waiter wouldn't move away I told him I would be leaving a review when I got home he eventually moved away. My husband was sat outside laughing he said it was like the waiter was holding me hostage lol. I still wanted to write a review the female waitresses were fantastic food was great too, would be 5 stars if not for hostage situation. Will come again.

The only way to sum up my visit was “average”!!!! I went on my own on a Sunday early evening. The place was practically empty. Ordered wings and Steak. Food came out quickly. Wings were nice and I really only went here because I really fancied some steak. Unfortunately, I was disappointed as it was average. I planned to leave a tip for the waitress but when I got the bill was automatically charged 12.5% service charge (I was on my own). I think next time I will try the steak somewhere else. Visited this place after being bowling with my family. We decided on here as the menu looked decent. We ordered the brisket beef wrap and chips, which seemed to come out luke warm and not piping hot. My little girl had the chicken and chips which was absolutely rock hard. I wouldn't let her eat it all as I was scared of her chocking....The food could have done with a bit of a salad garnish too! It all looked very beige! After the meal the waiter came over and asked us if the food was ok, he then proceeded to ask us to put a review on Google....he then paused and waited behind me for me to write the review, which was really awkward!!! 😂 I reassured him ill do it later lol When it came to the bill, they put a 12.5% service charge on, in my opinion this is scandalous!!!!! This was taken off in the end. To conclude, this wasn't a very nice meal and we won't be returning.

First time coming here and blown away by the quality and quantity of food. The stadd are great. The place needs a little bit of TLC but does not take away the amazing food. Will definitely come again.
