There were a minimum of 11 flies buzzing around. Proper black flies. 5 lingering round the coffee flavours and on the wall...and 6 flying around where we were sitting. They landed in my friends hair and then on our table. The staff member who served us (and has served us before) was miserable and not polite. She was the same both times. We stood there waiting for ages the first time and she completely ignored us for quite some time. Not even 'I will be with you in a minute.

Can't say much about it as it was Closed! Staying at Holiday Inn, we thought it would be nice to pop across for a drink. All in darkness. Went back to the hotel where they informed us it had been "closed for months". Maybe it might be a good idea to put a sign on the door saying as such! We walked down the road to the Beefeater and had a few drinks there instead.....

this was our second visit this year and the experience didn't disappoint. the food was delicious with special praise for the salt cod with peas. portions ample service informal but charming and informed. well worth a detour or destination visit.

Great pub great atmosphere makes you feel welcome have great live music also live sport as well always something going on and they still manage to keep prices down

We were greeted at the bar as soon as we arrived. The staff were polite and friendly. Our food was tasty and the onion rings were amazing (made from scratch). The chef checked if we were happy with the food and offered for us to have more drinks served to the table. We would come back again.

Wonderful atmosphere in a beautiful environment. Lovely food and our waiter Conrad was excellent. Very enjoyable evening.

Lovely meal yesterday early evening with all the family - good vegan and gluten free options too. Great service from our waitress who was so friendly - how can she remember all our orders without writing them down!!

We only had a cuppa but the it was awful. I couldn't drink mine .

Be careful things get stolen in this shop. My son left his new toy in a basket in the self service. We got back right away and it was gone. Nobody handed it over to a lost property. Very disappointed!

I went to the Wharf for a birthday lunch and I must say I was quite disappointed in the service. The food was lovely but service was very poor. The staff there seem to forget you exist. It was very sunny and we asked if we could switch table to be under the shade and no one came back to say if this could be done. We had to go to the bar to ask for this to be done after no one came around for 15mins It took about 20mins to get our orders and even when looking for staff it is difficult to find anyone unless you leave your seat to go to the bar to ask to be served. My friend had ordered a steak and wasnt given a steak knife with her meal, again there was no one to be found until 15 mins later my brother had to go inside again to ask for someone to bring a steak knife to our table when her food was already getting cold. Everytime we needed a meal ordered, tissue for the table as they provide the bare minimum we had to leave our table to go and look for someone.Overall, the service was the worst I had experienced in a restaurant. Everything was slow and seemed as if the staff forgot you were there. Only good thing about this experience was the food. We were very disappointed and as a result will not e visiting again.

It's a typical 'spoons' cheap n cheerful can't grumble
