I've gotten Harbor a lot. The sandwich creations are brilliant but it's like walking through a black hole when you get into the door where everything moves 1/10 normal speed and every order is wrong.

Got their salad and oh my gosh, ot was so good. And they loaded it up with everything I pointed out. Definitely was not disappointed and I was out of there in a relatively quick time. Their sandwiches are tasty and always loaded up with tons of meat. **Update** I knew I shouldn't go to the one on Shore Road, the service is awful, and so disorganized! My husband warned me, but I wanted to give them a THIRD chance, but never again will i step foot in that location again, and I'll make sure when we order for our office lunches, we DON'T order from the Shore Road location ONLY from the Main Street one!!

If you’re going to charge for a side of Cajun mayo make sure it’s in the order

One of the worst experiences I had in a deli. Food was unbelievably expensive, flies all over the place in the store, counter help didn’t even acknowledge me for almost 10 minutes then it took them 20 minutes to make my order (roast beef on a roll with literally nothing else on it) . I don’t normally write reviews but I was asked to write one by some women handing out free samples at the door. Save your money and eat elsewhere because this place ain’t it.

I had the new Artesian Roast beef this morning. I found it to be much more savory than the Boars Head products. I would highly recommend it!

Ordered a 1/2 Chicken with a soup. Paid 25 with delivery and they only sent a salad and soup. After trying to call the staff continue to hang up the phone when ever I ask for information.

I came in today at 5pm to get a sandwich and some coffee. I placed the order with one girl, then another girl took over so im assumming it was shift change. The employee that took over was very rude with me. I asked for a particular roll and she replied to her coworker that they are all the same thinking I didnt hear her. Then instead of continuing to take over she started on someone elses order totally ignoring me. It made me fell disrespected and left the shop . Due employees like this your business will lose customers, and I will never come back again.

Terrible service, bad expensive food. Waited 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me when I was the only customer in the store. Ordered tuna on toasted hero with melted American + lettuce. Cost me $16.00 and there was probably quarter pound of tuna on the whole hero, cheese wasn't melted. Total waste of money, never going back. Unfortunately not many other delis in town, but definitely won't be wasting any more money here.

Consistently a great experience. Staff always polite and helpful. Recently, walked in with no specific taste but hungry. Instead of being frustrated by my indecisiveness. Harry asked which meats, cheeses and condiments i generally like. Then whipped up an awesome creation. Good people, good food!

The worst Deli experience in my native NY life. I was hoping to beat the crowd so I walked to this deli for breakfast at around 9:00 am Sunday. The immigrants working there need A Ton of Training. They are unfamiliar with the sandwich board menu. I tried to order myself an expensive breakfast sandwich from the board and they were at such a loss that I changed it to an easy bacon, egg & cheese. They took 20 mins to get it to me and in meantime the morning rush came in. The old immigrant guy at counter does not see through the orders he takes to the waiting customer. Instead he forgets about you and prefers chatting with customers who've already been served. They do not know how to make ice coffee, refilling the machine with piping hot coffee. Long gone are the days when Americans who grew up with Delis work in them or send their kids to. Apparently the Americans that own this place couldn't be bothered to train staff & don't want to set the bar high for them. I guess they're just desperate for help but at same time, they must hire people who Want to learn, at the very least. Pay better and get better experienced food service employees and make sure they complete Food Safety training course through Nassau Dept of Health. I paid over $11 for undercooked scrambled eggs, burnt bacon unevenly arranged on a plain roll & a medium ice coffee. I DEFINITELY should've gone to BK in same strip mall, instead. For $10, I would've eaten a lot better and also enjoyed much better coffee. Never Again. Harry the owner conveniently calls my comments racist Lmao I'm an immigrant-american woman of color. I wish Harry would hire Only Documented, Fully-Taxed immigrant-americans BCS defrauding the Fed gov out of much needed SS taxes and defrauding the state out of much needed Worker Compensation taxes is white collar crime that hurts the poor, disabled and elderly Americans. Harry, you are an exploitative, tax evading port Washington racist. I know you too well. The workers at Harbor Deli too are lazy and clueless, not hardworking At All. But you wouldn't subject the whiter, wealthier Main st customer to such awful service and disgusting product, now would you? TRAIN THEM, LAZY GREEDY MAN.

Just got soup that had a pound of salt in it . And thats saying alot cause i live salt but it was like they poured a whole container in my soup smh .ive had there soup before and it was good but this seemed like a mistake hopefully smh

I've been to this deli over the years several times and I stopped going because the prices went up and the sandwiches got worse. The sandwiches are put together very sloppy and they're actually gotten skimpier. We went today because of this new blazing crispy chicken. Folks go over to Popeye's and get yourself three sandwiches for this price. I must say this is probably the worst sandwich I've ever had. Save your money!

The sandwich was roast beef, mayo, lettuce &tomato on rye, it was albudanza, &delicious, the coffee was delish too

Pretty slow service and very little communication from staff. Disorganized and disappointing.

Nice deli! Cheap food, delicious pastries, clean bathroom, and incredibly nice staff.

The service here is absolutely chaotic, order numbers are given but food cooked in a random order. Someone ordering a full meal gets it in 5 minutes when others are stood waiting over half an hour with no apologies. The staff seemed stressed even though there is loads of them - maybe too many and this is the problem? When the food did come it was overpriced for what it was but that’s the least of their issues.

This place is a great place to get sandwiches and heroes. Their soup is very good as well. They have three or four menu boards full of signature sandwiches, heroes and paninis.

Consistently disappointing. Two locations, both used to be good but within the last year or so both disappoint either in service or quality. Ordered three sandwiches today. Rolls were so stale I had to pull the meat off and use bread from home. Not the first time, either. Particularly noticeable on weekends. Maybe get rid of the stale bread and not sell it to customers. You can get fresher bread a block away at Subway.

They are the best deli Ive ever been to! Wish i had one where i live!!!! Deff reccomend trying!

I went with my son to get breakfast and we were NOT disappointed! The sandwiches were amazing! I ordered pancakes and bacon for my daughter and they not only accommodated my request, but the bacon was PERFECT! Can't wait to come back for more tastey food and bacon too! 10/10 Kids tested mom approved!

Disgusting. Flies everywhere the second you enter. The quality of food is so bad now. Bread tastes like a box of sand, barely any dressing on sandwiches, dry meat like cardboard, etc. Damn shame because Harbor deli used to be great a couple years ago.

They placed a stale sandwich from the display into the microwave and then gave it to me. I decided to try it anyways. Ruined my Saturday. I really wish I didn't get food from there. I can't get my $12 back but I can warn others. I am in such a terrible mood after all of this.

Normally...love you guys! However, i thought let me try the chix soup as am not feeling great! Looking forward to it...totally disappointed....It was overloaded with salt. Please...please undersalt it! I couldnt even eat it because its too salty.

I love their food their omlettes are great. They really pay close attention to their costumers.

Tried in two separate occasions and Borge experiences were terrible. On first visit I waited a half hour to order and get food. On second occasion I waited twenty minutes before they realized they lost my order and hadn’t even started. Food not bad but service is terrible.

First time on the IOW & at this restaurant, placed order waitress not very clear regarding what drinks were included and a very hungry 8 year old, waited for over an hour and that was with the manageress promising that she would get his ASAP, arrived the same time as everyone else’s, waitress walked out in tears. The chef was swearing out loud F****** this and the other in front of my 8 year old. Apologies from the manageress bit nothing else. We asked for tea one mouthful and it was gone no peas with the fish and chips wouldn’t bother again the staff were all over the place and a lot of complaints from other customers Don’t bother unless you have plenty of time and are prepared too wait

Beat deli in town. Great food and great service!. Also I have to say they have the best blueberry muffins I have ever had in my life.

We ordered x2 vegetarian burgers, and a portion of chips. Wait time was terrible, and then our order arrived 'one veggie burger and a portion of chips' but minus one of the burgers. Nobody apologised, and we had to ask what was going on before someone just said itd be out soon. All chips were cold. I insisted my partner started eating his burger as itd go even colder waiting for mine. It eventually arrives but it's not the same and looks entirely different -- it turns out he had actually been given a meat burger!!! Absolutely shocking, nobody seemed to care, it was just staff making excuses. I wanted to speak with a manager but no management were present. I asked for a refund which took even longer. My partner was sick and very upset after a decade of vegetarianism. Most definitely wouldn't go back, aside from this experience, the atmosphere was awful, staff were moody and there was zero communication from anyone about anything. DO. NOT. EAT. HERE.

I stopped in for breakfast and the service was friendly and fast. Harbor deli too has a vast selection of items to choose from and everything looks great!!! I noticed that they just added home made ice cream to the store. They have it all!!

Overpriced wine at over £8 per glass. Then had to wait over 15 minutes for it to arrive at our table. I can only agree with the other comments about immature bar staff

Made a booking for 12 during pride but when we arrived we were told they could no longer serve food or alcohol! So we left ryde feeling hungry and went to the lifeboat in east cowes Maybe a phone call could have been made so we could have made other arrangements

Where do I start! 40 minutes for a drink at the table. Having asked the waitress 4 times and the barman twice. The waiting staff and barman clearly far more interested in serving their friends and themselves than the customers. All appeared too intoxicated to do the jobs they were there to do.Food orders forgotten . It was like being at a youth club. Great atmosphere if your 18.A shame as the kitchen staff appeared to be working very hard and the food was nice. 10 friends who wont be returning .

I totally agree with most of comments and strangely we had the same experience. Food not arriving after 30 minutes, then told on the way, asked again after 10 minutes nothing. Said we would cancel order and were offered free drinks, surprise surprise food turned up, not very hot!!! By this time friend and l had given up the will to live!! Staff need proper training, with hopefully someone in charge!!! Also encountered swearing from staff. Whole visit a complete nightmare.

This is a new location situated on the harbour which is very nice. The menu is fairly limited and the service is slow but I am sure this will improve with training.

We visited here a couple of times whilst on holiday. The staff and front of house service was great but.... we booked a table earlier in the day and specifically asked for moules they said great it’s on the menu. We arrived and ordered and all was well until friends of the owner arrived and ordered after us also moules. For us to be told that they had run out of mussels. We sat there and saw them serve the owners friends mussels and the poor waitress was so embarrassed. No way to run a business. Nice venue, nice environment no integrity. We won’t go back, you choose!!!

Following a change of name from Harbour Deli to Beach House, the food and service has deteriorated massively. The food is now very basic, small portions and served in cardboard trays. The prices are far too high for the standard of the food. We will not be returning.

I went to the Harbour Deli with friends and wasn't very impressed to see them handling the sugar cubes given with tea and coffee with hands that had just touched money from the till. Money is covered in germs. Please invest in packets of sugar or at least use tongs (though sugar cubes left in the open anyway aren't exactly hygienic, especially in summer).

What a shame. This looks suck a happy, sunny little cafe and with an attractive menu. We ordered 2 crab salads which didn’t arrive. After waiting 30 minutes, I asked where our order was and was told they were short staffed and ours was just coming. After 40 minutes, I asked again and was told that our order had been accidentally given to another table and was just coming. We had lots of mouthed ‘It’s on its way’ and, to their credit, offered us complimentary drinks, until, after ONE HOUR waiting, I said to the man ‘Can you tell me our order is going to be on the table right NOW? Because if not, refund us and we’re leaving’, and it appeared. How long does it take to make a crab salad??? I wouldn’t have minded so much but it was an indifferent crab salad with not a lot of crab! Whilst we were waiting, we heard a number of excuses given to clients - ‘We’ve run out’, ‘The chef’s had a day off’ etc - and no one seemed to know what they were doing until it got to the point that they were wandering out with orders and shouting them and hoping the right person claimed them. To top it all, whoever was working the kitchen was heard telling another member of staff to ‘F*** off’. It put such a downer on the day that we decided to leave Ryde and go back to Sandown so well done, Harbour Deli. You’re actually sending people away from the town. Get your act together.

Love this little cafe by the harbour , coffee was great , we enjoyed the chicken , chorizo ciabatta, with a nice little salad on the side and I love the way they cook their chips , came well presented and very tasty .We received a warm and friendly greeting from all the staff , super place to sit in the sun and watch the world go by .

Absolutely love the Harbour Deli. Delicious food. Great location. Can’t wait to go back again once it warms up.

Ordered lunch for the six of us; a selection of drinks, sandwiches, crab and chips.

Visited here today and watched a member of staff pretend to urinate in my daughters drink while filling it ! The food was mediocre and overpriced .the staff were rude about the customers and facetious.I sat and listened to the rude comments . I will never return here

I went to the Harbour Deli in Ryde today to have lunch and was left very dissapointed.

Came here with the grandchildren and daughter . Was a little taken back by the prices . But when we were served the food it lived up to the price , I particularly love the chips . The kids meals were good value with the chicken nuggets good quality chicken . The order was taken quickly and took about 15 -20 mins which was fine as they were busy . There was plenty of seating and the view right on the harbour was fantastic . So very impressed and I can see how some would not be able to stomach the price for burger and chips , but hey there's plenty of other options . This is a gem

Came for fish and chips with a nice view of the harbour. Second time I've been here...chips were different to last time (like sliced new potatoes), but I thought they were very nice, curry sauce was an extra item included - was ok - too watery for my liking but honestly not required in my opinion as peas and tartare sauce is quite enough :) battered fish was as beautiful as last time, staff were pleasant and the wait for food wasn't too long. Worth a visit.

I bought 4 take away burgers, it cost nearly £25 and when they came out (after a 30 minute wait) they were smaller than my 7 year olds hand and filled with grease! Would not recommend this place to anyone!

Luckily it was sunny while I was at this cafe because it was worth chilling outside in the nice sun. It was a very nice and awesome place eat food because it tasted great. The shape of the chips were chips that I've never seen before but they were very tasty. I had a feeling that the chips were double cooked which is how I like my chips cooked(I love triple cooked chips as well). The staff were awesome. Very friendly and definitely people that I would love to see and speak to again.

I regularly eat here during the Summer months. They have a delicious range of salads; Goats cheese, feta, crab. Gourmet burgers. Chips have. Changed this year and I recommend cheesey chips as a sharer for kids and crab salad and a sneaky white for adults. I get past having to have an ice cube in my wine as I understand the fridge is full of cans as that is what the foot fall dictates. Staff always friendly
