The best restaurants serving British food in South East

Unorganised, unclean and ale unpleasant with odd taste. I waited 40 minutes for a burger and the rest of the family had all tried to eat theirs. Burger was wrong so sent back and cancelled meal. No apology . No offer if anything else on the house for the inconvenience and my daughters meal was awful - chicken wings ( not eaten) prawns tasteless and rubbery. All her food was left on her plate and no one asked if there was anything wrong with it. Left , went home and had toast. Family member I’ll next day. Calzone was only part cooked and half left. The only grace was a nice member of staff who was new on the till. I would not recommend eating here and suggest that staff need more skills training in customer service and check back.

Friendly and hard work staff , as soon as the bar was empty , seemed to spend their time cleaning every surface. Poped in on a busy Sunday afternoon And got drinks quickly. So returned for breakfast on a Monday morning. very Enjoyable and good value

We regularly visit here and always like to stop for food but came today and how disappointing, the menu had been changed and is VERY limited now and they no longer offer any form of dessert and have taken away all milkshakes… if you would like a burger or pizza then your fine but that’s about as far as menu stretches… I may add staff are very helpful and are working very hard… but it’s not worth the money to enter anymore as was charged £5 for entering the car park.

Had the best sizzler steak ever. Great service and incredible prices.. why have the powers that be spoilt it for asking me to write a longer review.!!!. ok again staff brilliant,and food excellent

6 de nosotros fuimos a un asado en el Día de las Madres, la comida era preciosa. Solo estoy triste de no poder apretar en un pudín junto con los demás y me encanta su banana split. Solo tendré que hacer una excursión de un día otro día para eso 😁. Zoe, que estaba a cargo y todo el personal de servicio eran encantadores y serviciales, a pesar de que fueron despedidos de sus pies y mi marido descarado estaba pidiendo extras 🤦🏻‍♀️ así que gracias.

The experience was good as always, and I had weekend beers with friends. The only problem is that it stays overcrowded in the weekends and hence too loud to talk.

This is a classic Mr cods food is good sometimes as not so much other times chicken burgers are nice and the fried chicken is good

Parfait pour les petits budgets avec un grand choix de burgers, pizza et autres mais pour ce prix là n'attendez ni qualité ni quantité. 20 livres pour 3 plats et 3 boissons. personnel souriants et sympas

I’ll never buy from here again… home of racist workers… Jacob Timbrell in particular, said some awful racist remarks and has really shown his true colours

When I arrived I was greeted very cordially, taken to a table, informed that my waiter would be over shortly and left. So far so good. My waiter appeared with a menu and inquiry as to my drinks order. He returned with my drink and then promptly disappeared. I heard him introduced to other prospective diners as their waiter so it looked like he was the only one. I keep seeing him making drinks at the bar, watched by what it seemed were at least another two barmen who didn't do anything to help. There seemed to be a distinct of urgency when it came to the waiter taking food orders so I drank up, went to the bar to pay for my drink and walked down the road to the Beefeater where I got something to eat.

Food and drink horrendously overpriced, over £15 for one coffee and three juice cartons….outrageous! The new glasshouse restaurant is again very overpriced and very poor quality. I know they’ve suffered losses because of the M25/A3 closures, but is it really a good idea to overcharge customers it’s just massive profiteering. Come on RHS, buck up, because at the moment, I will not be spending my money at any of your food and drink outlets, I’ll bring my own!

Used to be the best All Day Breakfast in Surrey. What happened - dried up bacon impossible to cut with the plastic cutlery. Raw tomato, luke warm beans and rubbery scrambled egg, all served on a cold plate. Tasteless tea served in a paper cup. Tables and floor in need of cleaning too. Not a good experience. Staff were pleasant and helpful though.

It’s not often as a vegetarian that I get a choice on a F&C menu but this men is fab. I chose the battered halloumi and it was devine. We also had the small cod and chips and it was perfect. The lady that served us was on her own but was really quick and courteous. After a very disappointing trip to Cowes the day before (we couldn’t even find and F&C shop) this more than made up for it. Great menu, great service and sitting on the promenade in the sun eating great tasting fish and chips is the perfect British holiday 👍🏻.

Had champagne afternoon tea. Staff were lovely, left us alone to chat but probably could have come over sooner to ask if we needed anything, sandwiches were tasty but the bread had dried out a bit and they had left the crusts on. Not what you expect. Scones and cakes were delicious though. I would recommend as ok and hope the bread was better.
