We visited Alfriston specifically to go to Badgers. Supposed to be open on Wednesdays but not open. Furthermore the sign seen in a photo on their website saying ‘Badgers tea house and garden’ now says only ‘Badgers’. Has it closed down? Is it seasonal? Wasted our time anyway. Had been looking forward to a cream tea for ages!

Last night I attended the Nags Head with my partner for my birthday. I was served by Jennifer who made sure she made it extra special for me and remained friendly and polite throughout the whole dining experience. Will definitely be returning after this exceptional service!

Visited Sovereign Harbour Harvester lunchtime 15th April was expecting a great experience after a Refurbishment but was very disappointed a few new tables inside and out but old umbrellas covered in green mould. The restaurant was about two thirds capacity so expecting good service how wrong 2 adults and 2 teenagers we had to wait 1 hour for our food to arrive and then an other hour for desert with spoons thrown on the table. Other groups around us had the same wait similarly tinesfor their food to arrive telling arriving guests "don't bother we have been waiting over hour for our food" As a shareholder it disappoints me to say avoid Sovereign Harbour until more staff and qualified managers are employed unless you are happy to have a long wait.

Decided to stop for a drink and Sunday lunch after a long walk around the coastline. Although we hadn’t booked the staff were really friendly and managed to fit us in!! One of us had the most amazing roast chicken with roasties, Yorkshire pud, veg and lots of lovely gravy!! My sister and I opted for the chicken and ham pie roast which also came with roasties, winter veg, Yorkshire pud and a jug of gravy! The food was piping hot and delicious and the portions were very generous!! It’s great value for money too! I would definitely recommend a visit though I would suggest booking to be safe as they get very busy.

I ordered a large cod and fries. The guy taking my order told me what was best then got me my food and had me paid in about 10 seconds total. The food was great but needed more salt and vinegar, which they offer, I just didn’t get enough. It was a fun atmosphere and the chips were hot and fluffy and the cod was tender and flavorful.

Visited here today with a friend for a Sunday Roast. We have been here many times for the roasts and the Breakfast, both are brilliant and great value for money. Always welcoming and always great food. Sarah our server was lovely and very helpful and attentive and full of energy as was the Carvery server, not sure on his name but we see him often when we go there, he even called over to make sure we had got our Yorkshire puds. Great atmosphere and the staffs attention to us to make sure we had a great experience made it a Brilliant little treat. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

£85 PARKING FINE FOR EATING AT YOU RESTAURANT! NITHING OR NOBODY SAID TO ME THAT I HAD TO PUT MY REGISTRATION IN ON ENTERING TO ORDER. TRIED TO DISPUTE AS WHAT OTHER REASON WOULD WE BE THERE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. COST OF LIVING CRISIS AND THE LIKES OF YOU FINE FOR KEEPING YOU IN BUSSINESS. NEVER EVER WOULD I RECOMEND OR VISIT HARVESTER AGAIN. MANY THANKS

The atmosphere was great and good selection of drinks. Service was slow. But it was busy so can be understandable but the food took 1.45 to come. And the quality was inconsistent across 6 people. The pork which was 30£ was cold for some and tough for others. Chicken bites were great though. And the fish and chips were hot and miss. With some good and other not. It could be good. Would try again. But not the best first visit.
