Popped in last Friday lunchtime for a snack. A bit out our or way, and our last visit was 20 yrs ago! We had a dog with us, so sat outside in the covered area. Everything very clean, and the BLT Panini's were made with fresh ingredients, and very tasty. Outside , so tea was in a cardboard cup, but decent nevertheless. Could not leave without having an Ice Cream, so had a large cone with 4 scoops of different flavoured ice cream,(For the reviewer who complained it is watery, it is gelato, kind of halfway between ice cream and sorbet). Very good indeed, well prepared fresh food, and great value. Staff were helpful, and would certainly make a detour to visit again

Not a bad Wetherspoons. Fairly clean and lots of space to sit. The food offer and service however was poor. Food was served almost cold. Waitress didn't smile, say a word or engage with us. I noticed she treated all customers similarly. Never smiling, never engaging, never checking if everything was OK and simply plonking food on the tables without saying anything. There were many tables left uncleared and bar service was slow with not enough staff on duty. It's a shame that some basic staff training lets down the customer experience- not unique to Wetherspoon's- and some of the chain's outlets are much better regarding staff interaction and service.

The place was packed at 1pm which l expected but not the understaffing! There were no sandwiches to be toasted on the counter and a sparse few plates of cold sandwiches . We had not been there for at least 18 months . We ordered 2 toasties and waited ages for them. A manager arrived but had nothing to offer. I told her the restaurant was understaffed but she said they had no more people! The ham and cheese one when it came was burnt on one side and the tuna one had no cheese in it - the salad on the side was browned and wilted on the edges . We joked about the fact that my husband actually got a slice of tomsto. On reflection l noted the assistant at the counter was wearing catering gloves and handling the sandwiches as well as taking cash. Not very hygienic! All in all one to avoid!

It has to be the worst service I have experienced at a weatherspoons establishment, the bar staff may as well be none existing, I ordered a beer at the place I was standing for it to be poured and served 15ft away and then ignorance kicked in with the server and told my drink is there..pure utter pathetic customer service..had 1 pint and left.

Very poor lunch today Vegetables with sausage and mash potatoes were very over cooked and the standard of the food was poor. Such a shame as used to be a favourite of ours but we won’t eat there again.

First meal at Village Hotel Maidstone Pub & Grill for a few years, and it didn't disappoint. Thanks to the chefs, James, and Adam, our food came out in good time and was amazing. Food is very reasonably priced, and I was pleasantly surprised by how generous the children's portion sizes were. All four plates were empty!! I'm very happy. Looking forward to coming back.

When I arrived I was greeted very cordially, taken to a table, informed that my waiter would be over shortly and left. So far so good. My waiter appeared with a menu and inquiry as to my drinks order. He returned with my drink and then promptly disappeared. I heard him introduced to other prospective diners as their waiter so it looked like he was the only one. I keep seeing him making drinks at the bar, watched by what it seemed were at least another two barmen who didn't do anything to help. There seemed to be a distinct of urgency when it came to the waiter taking food orders so I drank up, went to the bar to pay for my drink and walked down the road to the Beefeater where I got something to eat.

It was very dirty. Sticky bar and sticky table. Food was poorly presented. Ordered on the app and drinks were brought out super quickly.

Staff were lovely , coffee, tea and were perfectly nice and cafes were clean and attractive but really overpriced compared to most other attractions. If you visit, prepare to pay above the odds for hot drinks, but bring your own food. There are lots of places to eat and picnic in Wisley without paying the inflated prices.

Used to be the best All Day Breakfast in Surrey. What happened - dried up bacon impossible to cut with the plastic cutlery. Raw tomato, luke warm beans and rubbery scrambled egg, all served on a cold plate. Tasteless tea served in a paper cup. Tables and floor in need of cleaning too. Not a good experience. Staff were pleasant and helpful though.

I understand that kitchens can be overwhelmed during busy periods but as an establishment within a popular attraction you have had much experience of planning for situations like these. We ordered a margarita pizza and waited for an hour to get it. And this when the restaurant was not even half full. During ordering we were advised that the food has a 30 min wait. After 50 mins when we enquired we were told it’s almost ready. And then we waited for another 15 mins at the counter. We saw people cancelling their orders and walking away due to the awfully long wait. Terrible experience in an otherwise good day at the gardens.

Took my mum for afternoon tea and it was lovely! Right from start to finish it was a great experience. The selection of savoury foods was great and the little quiche and sausage roll were amazingly delicious! The scones came warm and the cakes were beautifully decorated and really well made. A big thanks to Tabitha who provided exceptional service and was really nice. Overall great afternoon tea :)
