Been visiting Costa Liscard for years and always put photos on Facebook. I have now been refused service for taking a photo which is not illegal. Lesson learnt woke strikes again

Travelling through from Hampshire to Kent on New Year's Day I discovered the public toilets in Midhurst were all locked! On a long journey this is an essential requirement so I was very thankful to find there was a Costa Coffee open at the top of North Street. A very welcome break we enjoyed coffee and cakes and were happy to find the cafe and WC facilities very clean and well taken care of. This is a stop which I will be making in future when on that journey - not especially for the use of their toilet but for their kind welcome, warm atmosphere and tasty treats

Visit here frequently for a quick pit stop coffee as I live 15 minutes up the road. coffee and products great - no complaints. One girl in particular who has never once said hello, goodbye, smiled or even a polite thank-you. Light headed female always wearing a plait. Perhaps a crash course in manners and customer service wouldn’t go a miss, or a career change? Thank-you!

It’s functional, usually fairly swift to service, although there can be some shortages in the cake and food department in the afternoon. Couple of minor gripes - depending on who is serving - an accumulation of empty/dirty plates/cups can occur and the wifi is sporadic depending on your location. But don’t let that put you off - it is exactly what you’d expect from a Costa.

I use this place a few times a week...mostly for takeaways but I must say the staff are always polite and helpful. The character roast coffee is delightful as is the waitress that suggested I give it a try. Always clean looking even at busy times! A Great Costa and I'm happy it's only a short walk from where I live. Thank you

We went into Costa in Midhurst on a rainy morning. All the tables were grubby and needing to be cleared. The toilets were vile. There were three staff who were standing at the counter reading the newspaper together. Probably the worst Costa experience I have had!

Visited for a cold drink as lovely sunny day. 3 females in-store 2 behind the counter and one working opp the pay point. Females discussing personal life throughout for all to hear. Male appeared possibly the manager cleared the tables and working whilst customers in and out. Females continued to talk amongst themselves. No customer interaction not good customer service not even eye contact on engagement/ordering.

This is the first time I have visited this cafe in midhurst, never again. It was unwelcoming, dark though it was early morning. ,grubby, furniture with stains, only two newspaper and one the sun!! There was no welcome from the girl behind the counter who was clearly bored and in the wrong job. I asked for Americano with hot milk which is not hard to remember and the other male staff gave me cold milk. It was impossible to engage either of them in any conversation at all. I had to return five minutes later as I had left my glasses on the table. Nothing had been cleared or wiped. Staff are lazy as it wasn't at all busy....Just two men on their laptops. There's plenty of good competition in the Main Street. Next door does coffee snd a bacon roll for £3 with a smile. Surely this is not Costa standards .it's shameful. Welcome

Felt Unwelcome Visited Saturday night fell very short of expectations. Booking a table was frustrating from the outset. Their recommended online system initially didn’t work, so I emailed them directly. They responded the next day, stating they had no record of my attempt to book, but offered no help to make a reservation manually. I left a voicemail when I couldn't get through by phone (the recording said they were closed Friday night), and emailed again asking for a table for Saturday. I eventually managed to secure a booking myself online for 6:45 PM, but at no point did the restaurant confirm this by phone or email. On Saturday afternoon, we visited in person to check that our booking existed — it did — but again, no explanation or apology was offered for the lack of communication. I asked if we could come at 7:00 PM instead, but was told firmly that 6:45 PM would be "better." We arrived at the appointed time, were seated promptly, and given menus — and then we waited. After 35 minutes with no attention, I asked the man at the door if someone would take our order. He responded dismissively that someone would "be over." Eventually, a very pleasant server came to take our order, and drinks arrived around 10 minutes later. The food, once it came (an hour after sitting down), was fine — no complaints about the quality. However, nobody checked in to ask if the meal was satisfactory. When I asked the manager, Sean, about the brand of Kombucha, he said it was by Johnny Wilkinson. When I looked puzzled, he seemed surprised that I didn’t know the former rugby player had a wellness brand — a strange and slightly patronizing exchange. Overall, the management and front-of-house attitude was indifferent at best, and at times outright dismissive. They seemed uninterested in whether we had a good experience or if we might return. Sadly, the location — with few other dining options nearby at Chichester Marina — seems to allow them to get away with poor service. We left feeling unwelcome, as if our presence was an inconvenience rather than valued custom. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this restaurant, and will not be returning.

This hotel was booked for two nights based on the promise of ample parking, which turned out to be completely unavailable on both days. Upon arrival, was surprised to discover that the ground floor houses a nightclub that operates until 3 a.m., making it impossible to get any rest. The next morning, there was no hot water in the showers—completely cold. Which was a great start for the day. After returning late was greeted with another surprise in the form of room key cards not working. To make matters worse, there was no one at the front desk and neither of the provided emergency contact numbers responded, leaving us with no choice but to find alternative accommodation at our own expense. I’d avoid this place like the plague !!
