Horrible experience, went for a quick coffe meanwhile my kids were at the gym, got my cup and waited in line, massive queue and only one machine working, as i was running out of time i went to the bar and asked to have my order changed to a half pint, for my surprise the guy at the bar not only refused but also said it was not his problem, i argued i was running out of time and no simpathy, i then asked for a refund and he refused saying it was not his problem, so i lost my purchase and had no refund for a product i did not consumend and was treated very rude by an unprofessional, i did not escalated further with management because of a cup of coffe but his lack of customer service was so appalling that i wont be coming back anymore.

This is out usual local when in Chichester. The usual warm vibe and good food you expect from Whetherspoons.

Stopped off for a quick drink after shopping but had a glance at the menu and found really good, staff really helpful and friendly 14 aug 24 Popped in for a quick drink whilst waiting for the bus and decided to have a curry as again great food. friendly staff and a quick service great ✓👍

They do a breakfast bar that is much enjoyed.Tea or coffee with a snack

Lovely old building no fryers working and no water in gents toilets for washing hands not a great visit.

Regularly pop in for all-day breakfast when in Chichester. Good value with refill tea etc.. Always busy can be a bit cramped and noisy.

I had a tuna jkt potato for lunch today but finding a bit of rotten lettuce put me off 🙃

This is great place for quick munch and a drink. All prices are so reasonable. Service can be from any table. The service is a little slow but in there defence. There are absolutely loads of tables for them to cover. The front looks out over the cathedral, what is magnificent. I recommend not bringing buggies here as there isn't much room between the tables. But no that you can fit in somewhere. One bug, no refillable hot chocolate from the refill machine, only teas & coffees. Otherwise all good quality.

Good Wetherspoons pub, great prices, clean and presentable. Love how these old buildings are well maintained and always in good condition. The miserable staff only let it down.

I visited this place in September while on holiday and tried to order through the app. It would not work. I asked a passing waitress if there was a problem and she pointed to a partly obscured sign on the door saying "cash only" and curtly told me to order at the bar like everybody else. I left. Not the best wetherspoons experience I have had.

Very reasonable prices for drinks a pint of bitter shandy and a lime and a large lemonade and lime cost me £3.74 a pint of bitter was available for £1.74

Good food and service, nicenpeuce as well. I had the boneless chicken mix with chips and sauce delish!

Good cheap meals , always busy , great value for money

It's a weatherspoons you get what you pay for. Cheap drinks and decent size seating area. Have not walked in here before and not got a seat. Food is decent but again it's a spoons. Has a very small outside seating area but it's nicely decorated

My wife and I enjoyed fish and chips and it was excellent. The fish tasted freshly cooked and the chips were good too. A pleasant surprise.

Disgusting from start to finish. Table and chairs were dirty and sticky to start with. Ordered our food and was told there is no poached eggs for our eggs Benedict but they can offer us fried or scrambled eggs, which I told the guy to come back as hubby went to get our drinks. Not offered a refund or an alternative meal. Decided reluctantly on fried egg. 30 mins later we got our meal and we didn't even take one mouth full. Muffins were hard and crispy. Ham was almost white and the sauce was smothered over everything. I told a member of staff as I left but there was only one serving behind the bar 🤮

Can’t go wrong with a spoons really as you know what you’re getting, however, for the price in today’s market, they must be commended! American cheeseburger and unlimited coffee only £6. Very good 👍

Delicious chicken bites with chips and onion rings

This pub gets quite busy during term time but was quiet when we visited. The WiFi wasn't working very well which made ordering at the table difficult and mobile signal tends to be non existent. A fairly standard Wetherspoons not amazing but they never really are.

Sunday morning breakfast, we've been a handful of times but the last visit might just be that for food. Not busy, but food almost cold. Staff didn't bother to come back to see how food was. We were so hungry, beans and bacon were almost cold when he plonked our order down and walked away. Can't be that hard to at least try and include a level of service.

Family w/e. Breakfast here on Sunday morning after the theatre. Luckily Jem had cash. Love the bottomless coffee. After we'd finished, popped into the Cathedral to see the Arundel Tomb featured in the great Philip Larkin poem.

Served drink in dirty glass had ice put in after requesting not ( Brandy ) bartender then removed ice and poured into another glass. Should of poured another fresh drink as probably lost 2mm in transfer. Not good

Friendly efficient staff and they sell my favourite lager in San Miguel.

Food was pretty good , the three of us had all day breakfast, portions were decent ! but when it comes to drinks , it was a tough challenge to get a clean glass for our drinks , member of staff went through god knows how many glasses to find the cleanest glass which wasn’t even clean as says that’s the cleanest we have to give you .

It was packed but a good atmosphere. Quick service and friendly staff.

Lovely Spoons, right opposite Chichester Cathedral. Just had some drinks sitting out front in the sunshine whilst browsing Web on Spoons' WiFi.

Another superb fish and chips. Hot, tasty, great value. Fast service. Cheap real ale. Buss stop right outside. What's not to like? We will be back.

Always very busy . The cheapest price beer around. Food is OK . Lot of choice . But at wkends very busy at ngt . There are too many drunk people in there . But favourite for the older people in the day

Apple space for our group of nine walkers. Great, generous plates of food. Amazing location just opposite Chichester Cathedral, which rang out it's occasional reminder of its presence. Beer range excellent as was the variety of food dišeš on offer. A memorable visit.

Food qaultiy is poor. Toilets are disgusting! Sick all over the toilets and this was 3pm on a weekday!

Decent wetherspoons but very busy

My wife and I were staying in the TraveLodge around the corner from this great pub, and we stumbled upon it by chance; what a find! On our first evening we just went in for a drink and were staggered by value for money, the friendliness of the young staff and the pleasant atmosphere with folk of all ages there. Indeed, we liked it so much that we went there for breakfast the next morning, and then again for our dinner that evening! The food was really very, very good, as were the drinks and, as I have said already, the value for money was just amazing! OK, let's be truthful here and say what it is, so, so much cheaper compared to other pubs! Should we ever return to Chichester we will certainly rack up here!

Food was lovely,the staff were very friendly.....just a shame that some of the staff don't clean the tables when taking the last person's glasses & plates away without being asked to.

Ordered toast and a wrap. Waited 30 minutes then asked staff when to expect food. They said, "soon". 15 mins later they said that they couldn't find table 73 so had put food in over. It was ruined and inedible. Staff not interested. Still insisted that they couldn't find table, which was clearly numbered. Won't be going here again!!

We came in at 9 on a Monday and we were instantly talked to rudely by a worker. An hour later, we were sworn out by another worker after accidentally spilling a drink. Absolutely awful service and I would not accept this behaviour anywhere else, this should be sorted out ASAP!!

It's a wetherspoons! Beer was excellent, and cheap. Food wasn't at all bad, arrived quickly and cheap. The place was packed so great atmosphere.

Usual Wetherspoons, breakfast fine, although toast is always under done, seems to be a trait of every Wetherspoons.

What a great place for a Friday and Saturday night to meet up with friends. It's one of those pubs where the people are so friendly absolutely no trouble whatsoever

I do like a Spoons, not fancy but you know where you are. During our stay in Chichester Travelodge (only 20 yards away) we came here for breakfast one day, lunch another and evening drinks another. I'm also getting into using the app, you do get served more quickly!

Excellent value and great for a quick meal. Good choice of food. Customer service is great and the pub is clean and tidy.

It's probably one of the cleanest spoons I have been to. No sticky carpet! Toilets super clean. Staff are really friendly and fast service. Really nice visit and would recommend 👌 👍 😊

Food was absolutely disgusting. Yolks were hard, toast, well no it wasn't, and to top it off, a moody waitress.

Very decent Spoons, good service (can't use the app if I want to use my 50p off CAMRA voucher for cask ale), well kept and served ale.

Popped in for a quick drink. Very fast service and my partner had the decaff coffee from the machine (fast and easy). Super cheap prices and just right for. Pre dinner drinks.

Very good place for a good value breakfast. Their black pudding is excellent. Also good for reasonably priced meals served all day. They also sell the cheapest coffee and beer in the city. Guest Real Ale choice is often mediocre though.

Sticky tables. Food okay but size of meals seems to be getting smaller. Too noisy.

We went here last night with friends for a meal and a few drinks. It was very busy but we ordered food as we were hungry and the service was really quick! Unfortunately my husbands steak wasn’t ‘well done’ as specified. However he spoke to a member of staff, whom without argument, apologised and advised he would take it back to the kitchen. He promptly returned and advised that it would be replaced and this would take about 10 mins. Once my husbands food had arrived, they had replaced the whole dish, everything was freshly cooked and my husband really enjoyed his meal. Some places would have just replaced the steak or even re-cooked it, or even argued and refused to replace. The service we received, even with the hiccup regarding the steak was exceptional the whole evening. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous on what was a very busy evening and for this reason alone we will return! Thank you! xx

The staff are always really friendly and going out of their way and the place is perfect if you want to grab a bite after being dragged around the shops all day. Some dubious characters are always around, making you feel uncomfortable, but I guess that is down to the owner's political outspokenness which has attracted a lot of the "free speech" lot.

Went for breakfast, busy place. Food was served fairly quickly and made our own drinks using machine for tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

A little note expensive than other spoons but still good service and friendly staff. It's my work local and visit at least once a month.

Pleasant pub, good place to meet with friends, situated in city centre.

Often had nice times at this spoons, the food is average and fills a void when most other places are shut. This evening however, we were greeted by “staff” wearing tracksuits and very keen on getting rid of customers shouting at customers much earlier than the pub is scheduled to have shut. We were made to feel very uncomfortable. As someone who as worked in hospitality I understand the challenges but a little presentation and regard toward customers especially since other lovely local free houses are trying their best to complete. I understand when it’s time to go but shouting out loud to customer that it’s ’time to go’ was a little rude when it was before closing time and we were literally sitting quietly finishing our drinks

I returned after being away from the country for 4 years as this used to be my local go to pub. My food was average but good for the price. However a rude worker came over to our table but we didn’t think too much of it. Then when ordering a pint at the bar I was informed we were cut off as the worker named Chloe had cut off our table. Turned out the rude person with short hair was named Chloe. I tried to look for her to ask for the reason but she was no where to be seen. When leaving 2 other tables were also confused by her erratic behaviour. Things have gone down hill since being away. I’m now going to search for a new local after 10 years of service to The Dolphin & Anchor. Disappointing end to a good era.

Incredible, had some complications with some members in our group and after speaking with Dom we, together, diffused and repaired the relationship! Thank you and your team for being understanding and we’ll see you all again soon!

Popular atmosphere, great prices

From one rubbish Wetherspoons to good one had to travel 400 Mlles but the difference is huge my home town one is definitely one of the worst dirty tables poor service cold food .This one onthe other hand was packed, clean table great friendly service hot food. I can’t see how one can be run well and a smaller one run badly hats off to Chichester

Always brilliant the staff work so hard you never see them standing about but realy they don't have a chance they are always busy WELL DONE the only thing I would say the lady's toilet is absolutely disgusting the floor and sinks look like they haven't been cleaned for months

Very busy and the app is difficult to use as signal terrible. Couldn't get to bar to order food because of all the men propping it up. Think an order point away from bar would be a good idea .

Drinks very reasonable prices compared to all other bars in the area. Unable to get WiFi but that might be my phone or network so not an issue.
