Came for brunch on a Saturday, food came quick and very hot. Had great service from Ellie, she was very friendly.

Had a fabulous family meal out at The Mill. Will definitely come back.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch. The food was excellent, lovely atmosphere and our waitress, Annabelle, was amazing! She was friendly, attentive and unflustered by the large group. Hats off to management and of course, Harry, for the excellent food.

Made a reservation for my wife's birthday lunch after a walk around in the area. We got sat indoor in the darkest part on a sunny day despite having tables available outdoor. Between the starters and mains, we waited for more than 45 minutes and had to ask at the bar as our daughter was getting very hungry. It was clear that our order had been forgotten while the services focused on the majority of the customers who sat outdoor. Food was largely acceptable though inconsistent. Seafood Pasta was overcooked with the sauce being rather bland. Individual staff has a friendly outlook though as a whole service didn't appear to be well run. The outdoor area appears nice with a gated children play area from what we saw. A characterful local pub but is let down but below average service. Would not recommend.

A high-end restaurant in a quiet neighborhood. It's been a while since I lived nearby. Most of the menu was Greek or British, so it didn't have a lot of impact, but it felt faithful to the basics😋 For dessert, I had coppa mess, and the combination of sweet whipped cream and meringue was good. If there's a reason to visit this place, it's probably the atmosphere. If you go in summer or spring when the weather is nice, I think this restaurant has a warm, languid, yet luxurious feel that is unique to the Surrey region. I don't think there will be any Koreans here, but I'm leaving a review to hope it helps😄

Overall vibe was good! Friendly staff, but the olives weren’t great and the bread and oilS was just one oil, very good gluten free though!

Ellie H provided excellent service during our lunch. She kindly offered to change our table to a quieter one away from the kitchen and was friendly and attentive throughout the meal.

We went for a work lunch and the food was really good, the burger, sausage wheel and Caesar salad, all really good. Oli was our server and he was really nice, attended to us well and made sure everything was good

Very well recommended and so booked the previous day for our anniversary (41st) lunch at 1.30 - arrived at 1.10 - had to ask to be shown a table - chose one ourselves with help of a waitress. Menu, nice linen/cotton napkin and cutlery ready on table. Order taken for drinks at about 1.25 - these arrived perhaps 1.35 - food (shared starter, calamari, followed by trout/ham eggs &c) ordered about 1.40 - starter arrived c.2.10 - ham etc was served about 2.45 - trout about 10 minutes later !....... All summed up in an apology that they "hadn't expected so many ....." Yes, but they continued to accept all comers, without bookings, as we waited for ours to be cooked. ie Numbers (=profit??) before quality? Calamari just about OK - Ham dry and eggs like rubber - sent back, very little improvement second time around - tiny (3 inch x 4 inch) fillet of trout, greatly over-cooked .... tasteless "new" potatoes ..... All in all a disaster - only lessened by the fact that they offered extra drinks while we waited - and agreed that they could not, in all honesty present a bill - so maybe we were just unlucky or the management needs to get its act together for Bank Holiday weekends. VERY disappointing - no reason for going back!

Fantastic pub. Good food. Service was disappointing and rude. A couldn't care less attitude. Short on a few beers, considering the weather and bookings you know your gonna be busy. Shame spoilt the day.

What a lovely afternoon and really heightened by such fantastic service. Nowadays customer care can be hit or miss in most places - with businesses putting pressure on their staff to upsell and rush customers through to just generate more income. But here Jess was genuinely happy in her work, informative and helpful - a real star who made our lunch even more enjoyable! We were all really pleased to see such an enthusiastic and bubbly server who took pride in delivering and time in making sure we were happy - great work Jess!

I had an excellent experience, my food was tasty and my server was very helpful, great service. It looks like the owner is reading these, so stop making your servers upsell everything! Would you like more drinks? Would you like another appetizer? Are you sure you don’t want a desert? I know you make your poor waitstaff do this! If I want something I’ll order it! Otherwise I had a great time and will come again.

Wonderful spacious pub with excellent food! The Mill is very baby friendly - we were given a lovely table with plenty of space for buggies

Lovely pub very comfortable and attractive had a nice gammon egg and chips with a surprising Indian piccalilli and a nice pint of beer.

We used the garden room for a celebration of life, it was perfect for the occasion. We were 12 people and had a buffet, the food and service were spot on. Thanks to the staff who set up and served us.

We hosted a party at the Mill in the outside area and it was fantastic. Great food, lovely atmosphere, really great team. Would highly recommend as a venue in Haslemere for a big party. It was ideal.

while the food was just okay—not bad, but nothing particularly special—the service truly stood out. Annabelle and Saffron were absolutely fantastic! We went there for Sunday lunch as a family. The staff were helpful and attentive. The food was good and it wasn’t too crowded.

Always a very friendly atmosphere with very good service. The quality of the food is excellent but can be quite expensive, sometimes. Not always reflected in the type of menu offered.

We have been coming to The Mill for a few years now. Me and my family find it very good as there are many food options and also lots of variety for Allergys. My daughter has quite a few allergies and the kitchen go above and beyond to ensure her food is prepared safely . All of the staff interact with my children and make them feel so welcome and make sure we have everything we need . Big shout out to Jess who served me in my most recent visit her service is excellent with a smile. We will keep returning. Thank you for the consistent excellent experience 😀

Just a shoutout to the mill! I’ve been coming here for months for drinks and have recently started dining here also. I’ve Always had the best experience here! The staff are nothing but friendly and helpful. They have consistently gone an above and beyond for me and my family, I’ve even started to have a laugh with a few members of the team! The mill has an extremely warm atmosphere, lit fires and attentive bar staff is a welcome mix! Especially since they are dog friendly, with plenty of places for me to sit with my pup, they adore my dog Alfie here! it’s always a pleasure when I bring him in - so lovely to walk into a pub and feel welcomed. Alongside this, the food is always amazing!! They have a variety of options, vegetarian, gluten free and even vegan! Dining here is a wonderful experience and the food is beautifuly presented! I can’t say I have a bad word to say about this pub. I would highly recommend coming to The Mill!

Had a great time with my boyfriend, me and him had a lovely trio of meats served by Ellie who was great and attentive, had a chat with the manager Dirk who was very hospitable and kind can't recommend the pub more will be coming back

I have chrons disease so i can only eat certain things, i visited here a few months ago with friends but only just got round to leaving a review. unfortunately the only option for me to eat was a kids ham egg and chips. (29year old female for reference) after my meal arrived, (one egg and one slice of ham with a handful of chips) i asked the waitress if i could have a bigger portion and said i was happy to pay extra but i was told i couldn't as the ingredients are "measured out" sorry what? measured out? they couldn't even cut me an extra slice of ham which is laughable. so i then had to ask for some bread and butter instead. would never go there again because of this, never heard such nonsense in my whole life. if you have intolerances i'd probably avoid this place like the plague. rubbish.

I took my mum out for lunch for her 80th birthday today and we chose the mill. What a fantastic place! The staff were amazing! Kelly, Sophie and saffron did everything to make the experience special for her they even gave her a special dessert and told her it was free for her birthday! The venue was beautiful and the food was amazing! They left my mum feeling very special so thank you so much to the hole team at the mill! Kind regards Craig wolfe

We very much enjoyed our meal. However I have not given quite full marks. Unfortunately, the pudding - Roasted Plums. unfortunately the plums were undercooked. The service was excellent, but we did have to wait a long time between our main course and pudding.

What a cracking real pub. Proper English beer with incredible winter food that demands a long walk beforehand to earn all that goodness. And don’t miss the Bloody Mary’s; they’re world class! Thank you for a wonderful lunch.

An honest and objective review of this place is needed. I saw from the reviews that quite a few people are saying that it is dog friendly, and on the surface of it it does appear it is. However if you are looking to have an evening meal with your dogs you will be put in the public bar which is not major problem. What is a problem, is the lack of flexibility in that space. We ended up being put next to the gents toilets and therefore suffered with traffic coming to and from those toilets literally all evening. The staff were quite attentive and we did ask to move. However, we were told there was nowhere else to be seated. The strange thing was that there was a whole snug with nobody in it right next to us. I think this pub is dog-friendly during the summer months when you can sit your dog outside or in designated areas. To be fair the food was quite good (although you have to question £24 for a bacon chop, egg and chips) our server at the end was very good and he made a fuss of the dogs and gave them biscuits. I would just recommend to avoid the public bar area in the evenings if you are bringing dogs. Either that or the pub should make some more flexible areas using the restaurant zone which wasn't oversubscribed and could have been used to flexibly to give people a restaurant experience if they bring their dogs.

We had a lovely Boxing Day and especially enjoyed the snug we were in and had to ourselves. Ellie was wonderful and a great waitress. I think though she handed over during our meal and we felt a bit left and not really served once she left. The food was delicious and we did have a lovely family time, so thank you.

THIS WAS A FAMILY GET-TOGETHER AFTER INTERNING OUR FATHER'S, AND GRANDFATHER'S ASHES IN A TREE PLANTING. WE ARRIVED TO AN OVERWHELMING STENCH THAT HAD BEEN COVERED UP WITH SOME SMELLY POP-PORI-TYPE SMELL. WE SAT AT INDIVIDUAL TABLES SO WE COULD NOT ALL SIT TOGETHER. THE FOOD WAS BUFFET STYLE AND PRESENTED ON OLD WOODEN CHOPPING BOARD WE HAD TWO CHOPPING BOARDS FOR 6 PEOPLE, WITH SAUSAGE ROLLS THAT LOOKED LIKE HALF A SAUSAGE ROLL LITRIALLY 2CM WIDE. LETTIS LEAVES ALL OVER THE BORDS WITH RANDOM OFFERINGS PLASSED ON TOP. SOME LEAVES HAD PRAWN COCKTAIL IN A SLOPPY SAUCE RUNNING OFF OVER OTHER THINGS ON THE BOARD. I'M SURE THE WI WOULD HAVE PUT ON A BETTER SPREAD. WE WERE TOLD THAT THIS WOULD WORK OUT AT £22 PER HEAD £132 FOR OUR TABLE ALONE. THAT MUST HAVE BEEN £110

Varied choices of food, nicely prepared and presented. Friendly and efficient staff. Lovely outside space. Lots of parking . Wednesday visit with 25% off, what more could you ask for?

Unfortunately, the quality of the steak was very disappointing—rubbery and completely lacking in flavor, sides also lacked flavour. We ordered four steaks, and all were the same. I can’t comment on the quality of the drinks, as ordered cola only.

We went here for a social Christmas party, 17 of us dinner and as many later for drinks. We knew we would be at in the covered outside area. But wow was it cold the heaters barely worked for 50 seconds before switching off. Every one sat wrapped up as so cold. The food to be fair was ok, not brilliant for £42.00 set 3 course meal but it was hot as it arrived. Not for long though. The service was at best average, with food coming out for a while and then gravy when most people had started ther meals. My fish stew wasn’t stew but fish in chopped tomatoes you didn’t need the spoon that was presented. Christmas crackers were promised and we ask 3 times apparently they do them after the meal( thats a first on me) they never did arrive. With a bit of planning ahead the half filled restaurant could have seated us all. It’s such a shame that the best pub in Surrey award didn’t represent itself well, guess that’s why they charge £7.00 + for a Lager or Guinness. We are local and won’t be rushing back.

I came for lunch with my elderly parents and a friend. We had a very lovely meal at a good price and excellent service. There was a nice atmosphere - with the tables far enough apart so that you heard your own conversation and not other people’s. We never once felt we’re being rushed, but at the same time felt we were being looked after by the staff. We had a roast and in the past I’ve had fish and chips and the burger - The rest of the menu is a bit too ‘foodie’ (eg mulled-wine cranberry sauce rather than the traditional stuff!) for me … But what we had was delicious.

The pub was set up really nicely for Christmas. I had booked for a Christmas party and Ruben went above and beyond to help me with the pre-ordering and payments for 12 people. Food was nice (not blown away for the price) but the customer service made up for it 100%. Thanks Ruben for all your help!

The Mill Tavern is becoming a favourite spot for me and a great place to meet and catch up with family and friends - We had a lovely lunch and a fab afternoon - will definitely be there again soon, THANK YOU SO much 👍🎉

Lovely pub, great atmosphere, friendly & attentive staff, Josh behind the bar was very chatty. Nice choice of Butcombe beers to try, and was nice to be offered a taste first before deciding.

We were a party of 10 for Friday lunch. All over 70 and with a large wheelchair. Entry was easy and they looked after us very well. Very nice people and nice food. We will return.

Really lovely meal to celebrate an big birthday for my Mum. There were 15 of us. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We were supplied with extra Yorkshire pudding and potatoes to go with our meal. Pub busy with great atmosphere. A great place for Sunday Lunch

Food was good but not hot. My son had the pork and said there were lots of veg but not very generous with the meat. I had the beef, it was very tender, enough meat for me but I'm not a huge meat eater. Nice pub, friendly staff.
