Fabulous pub, great beers, loved the ambiance. The staff were absolutely brilliant Clem is amazing, would recommend the place to anyone.

Nice pub with good food. We had lunch here and were very happy with the food. Unfortunately you have to order via the app, but once the app was installed the food was ordered quickly. We would come again.

My wife had shredded mushroom curry with rice and I had 3 cheese mac&cheese.I have never before had such a cheesy mac&cheese,well done wig and pen,wifey was suitably impressed with hers also,we sat down at bout 1130 Sat dinner,wasn't too busy then but by time we left it was.Defo reccomend and will return.Many thanks

Came in for a meal, staff very attentive and knowagleable about the drinks i had questions about. Big building with fantastic atmosphere when the sport is on! Fantastic! Will definitely be back when the premier league starts again! Good stuff!

I went to the Wig and Pen last Saturday night with my friends when we weren't sure where to go for a good night out, and we definitely weren’t disappointed! The staff and drinks were exceptional, and the DJ was an added bonus. We'll definitely be back - thank you so much!

Looking for a late breakfast my wife spotted the Wig abd Pen which is a Weatherspoons pub. On entry it was busy so we found a table at which we found the breakfast menu which ran to midday. After ordering two large breakfast with refillable drinks we on waited around 20min for the food. While waiting a staff member came over and apologised for the wait. All the staff were great and the food was of a good standard. If in Oxford near the Westgate Shopping centre I would recommend the Wig and Pen as a good place to eat and drink at a very reasonable price.

They have TVs everywhere and fast and efficient service! Great atmosphere for the football and great range of drinks. Will return soon

Lovely lunch at the Wig and pen. It was very busy, but the service was quick, the staff were friendly and professional and the food and drink were top notch. Great they've got so much space and loads of tellys for the sport. Thanks and see you again!

Located in the heart of the town centre, this venue has reasonably priced food and good friendly service. The Sunday roasts were not perfect but worthy of 4/5.

Quite cozy place with mediocre food and a convoluted app system. Why require a unique app instead of just QR-code website ordering? The steak pie filling was really good, but the dough was a bit bland and dry. The mash and peas were also on the bland and dry side and would really have appreciated some butter. The steak was cooked medium-well, not "pink" as ordered.

my husband and my sister went for drinks. Was just going for drinks, also got some very good food! Good to see the DJ again as we missed him last month. security was friendly. The security guy was actually very nice and I saw him putting a smile on other peoples faces. Only complaint was I woke up with an almighty hangover after having such a great night. 10/10 would go again

Went in for the hunters chicken, came out with a full stomach. Some really good food they did! Me and my friends have been there so many times and we have enjoyed every single second of being there. Friendly staff, sometimes even a DJ on the weekends which is an added bonus!!!!!!!!

Went into the wig and pen today and had a great meal. The Olympics were on and the service from the bar team was amazing! Really clean pub and the team obviously enjoy their job. We aren't from Oxford but will be returning to the wig and pen next time we are in the city. Very reasonably priced for an expensive city. Best place we visited

Popped in for a quick bite to Wig&Pen with a couple of friends. We decided to go for the sandwiches. BLT chicken sandwich, steak sandwich and halloumi wrap were delicious and served within 15 minutes. Place was quite busy and seemed like a lot of tourists visit the pub when in the city centre. Highly recommended!

A very inviting bar/pub, their kitchen had closed due to a technical issue whilst we were there but this didn't happen our spirits

+ sports on tv + reasonably priced ales - very expensive Coke Zero - the worst flat iron stake I’ve ever had (judging by the color of meat it wasn’t prepared today…) - my friend saw a rodent (probably a mouse) inside the pub…

This was my 3rd time visiting Oxford and England in general. Each time I had high hopes of enjoying a proper fish and chips at a local pub. Each time I was disappointed- until now. I walked by Wig & Pen and was drawn in by the atmosphere- as it looked cozy and fitting of a pub. The staff was really friendly (Lucy and Gabe). They convinced me to give the fish & chips a go. Gabe suggested the mushy peas so I followed his advice. The fish seemed fresh and light and had a nice crisp to it - even after adding a bit of vinegar and tartar sauce to each bite. Thank you Lucy and Gabe for restoring my faith in local pubs to provide a feeling of “home” and a proper fish and chips!! Highly recommend Wig and Pen!

Classic English pub, very large and with plenty of seating. Wide choice of good vegetarian and vegan dishes. I recommend the fried halloumi. High prices, not very fast service but really friendly staff.

Good place to go with friends for a beer. It was football the night I went so was noisy and the drinks overpriced, but that is Oxford all over so expected.

Good ambiance, vibrant and lively. Great music with a place to dance, or lots of seating available if you’re catching up with friends. All staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Came in with a large group of friends tonight for dinner, had an excellent time. Food and staff were great, would have been 5 stars but our first order got mixed up in the kitchen and ended up coming way later than everything else (understandable given we all ordered separately, but still annoying). Floor staff were excellent at letting us know what happened and dealing with the problem (particularly the waitress who ran most of our food), and the food was good when it did arrive so it was only a minor issue. Would gladly return next time I’m in town.

I would avoid the Wig and pen if you have any disability whatsoever due to the fact The management (Kane) feels that it’s more of an inconvenience and asked myself and 3 friends to leave. I am deaf in one side and the bar woman was abrupt and rude when I didn’t hear her then when I took slight issue with the way she spoke to me we were told we would not be served and our night was over in the establishment and were asked to leave. I have never felt so angry or been treated so badly and for total clarity this was at 9.30pm. This is total woke behaviour as the decision to remove us was based on the bar woman’s word and taken without understanding my disability If I could give negative star rating I would

Worst Toasted Cheese Sandwich I Have Ever Had. Tasteless spread of cheese paste inside two slices of untoasted bread. £8.25, really!! Also had the chicken BLT, miniscule bacon that you need a microscope to see, with a sugar cube size of chicken. When asked how it was, my wife replied "it's the worst toasted Sandwich I have ever had. The waitress replied, "I will tell the chef" We laughed

Ordered the bao buns, and they were absolutely awful, lukewarm, like bread inside, and dry, terrible. The calamari were excellent, but the bao buns i wouldn't feed to a dog.

Visited Saturday, the 11th of May with a family of four, 4 meals of the worst quality And value, Greene King need to learn a lesson from Wetherspoons good value decent food and good service the list of my complaints about your food is too long to Explain, Cold stale and nasty would be some of the words, Another day, I would’ve asked for a refund but didn’t want to make a scene

Ate tonight at the Wig and Pen Oxford, huge increase in prices, £32.90 for 2× fish and chips is ridiculous, won't be eating there again, food definitely wasn't worth that huge hike in price. 😤😤

The Wig & Pen never fails. Went out with friends for a afternoon drinks and a bit of a pub crawl and ended up staying there till close. Brought some drinks and got a seat downstairs. Decided to all eat there too and we are glad we did. The good was amazing, all of us leaving empty plates. We carried on drinking and built a great relationship up with the staff, who were brilliant, friendly and very helpful. They were very busy, but nothing was too much trouble and still had time to laugh and joke with you. We finished the night dancing away till close and all leaving having a very enjoyable day and night. Thanks team Wig & Pen. We have already planned our next night out there in a couple of weeks.
