We were greeted at the bar as soon as we arrived. The staff were polite and friendly. Our food was tasty and the onion rings were amazing (made from scratch). The chef checked if we were happy with the food and offered for us to have more drinks served to the table. We would come back again.

Myself and a group of friends went to the Prince Albert in the hopes that we could enjoy some drinks (soft as I was driving) outside in the nice weather. As soon as we sat down we were greeted by a rather rude waiter who asked for our ID which none of us were carrying (as we only planned to have soft drinks). After we explained we weren’t planning to purchase alcohol the waiter went over to the table next to us and they all started laughing and saying things such as “get them to lift up their tops to see how old they are”, which the waiter laughed and joined in with. We were left feeling very uncomfortable and dissatisfied with this service and left shortly after. We won’t be returning to this pub and would urge any young females to find somewhere else to go where the waiters don’t behave like this.

We went as 3 households yesterday for lunch. We used the nice shelter that I believe is often a smoking shelter but it was so hot that it provided wonderful shade and 3 picnic benches which allowed social distancing. We all ordered something different and all the food was delicious and eaten up! The staff were all really friendly. Lovely little pub that would be perfect in the winter too.

We are staying at a local hotel and The PA was recommended by the hotel staff. PA is within walking distance or you can Uber up. The Prince Albert has indoor / outdoor seating. Off street parking. Good value with a authentic style pub atmosphere. Service was good. Food was ok. We all agreed we would go back but definitely want to check out other places too.

I took a stroll from The Copthorne Hotel to try the home cooked food advertised on the web.. When you enter the pub smells of sour chip fat and is layed out like a cheap caff on the A1 services or docks. The kitchen is just behind the bar and the activity/smells overpower the bar. It took 40 mins to get the 6oz burger meal I ordered, it tased awful and wasn't seasoned, probably cooked from frozen and had the appearance and flavour of being boiled. The bacon topping was microwaved and the bun also microwave de-frosted then toasted 'till rock-hard. So, a burger and a pint for £14.55.. It would have been cheaper to eat in The Copthorne.

The Prince Albert is our local pub and we are there two or three times a week. This was our second visit to the pub for their roast Sunday lunch and we took two friends this time. There is a choice of two meats, today being beef and gammon. Roast and new potatoes, yorkshire pudding and six varieties of vegetable. Our friends were very impressed with the quality and choice. Extremely good value too and all ingredients are obtained locally where possible. I would recommend as a pub anyway, but their Sunday roast is well worth a try. It is a pub, so football may be on TV!

The Prince Albert is a traditional pub that we're lucky to have here in the village. Every time we've been here the service has been warm and welcoming. They have a large beer garden for the summer months and plenty of parking. Good range of drinks including bitters and gins and the food is delicious and served piping hot. Highly recommend the Sunday Roasts and the steaks. Family and dog friendly and live music on a Friday night.

We were staying at the copthorne hotel but wandered out to find a local and this was a good find. The barman was extremely friendly and chatty and that's always a sign of a friendly pub. We didn't eat here as we had already ordered food at the hotel but when we overnight again we'll give it a go.

The owner is the chef and actually provides good value food, The menu is limited but portions are good and nicely cooked and presented. However the pub is also a sports orientated one and consequently the atmosphere is not great for diners. If they could find a way to separate the diners from the clientele using the bar I am sure this would be advantageous for the publican and diners.

Avoid this awful pub! - The place is filthy, the staff are not very presentable or approachable and are extremely rude, and do not go near the toilets if your tetanus is not up-to-date! Children's play area and bouncy castle in the garden are grimy too.

Went here with my cousin who was a single mum and had just moved in to the village. We couldn't go before 8 as her older boys were out and she also has a todler. Very disappointed as we were looking forward to scampi in a basket. Only stayed for one drink which was still a treat for her anyway and ended up getting a pizza instead.

We weren't expecting much but there aren't many options for pub food on a Sunday night. We were travelling back from the coast and looking for somewhere just off the main road. We drove past this looking for the posher place up the road, which was closed when we got there. From the outside it didn't look too promising. It's not quite a flat roof pub but it did have that look.Once inside it was quite clean and bright. They had football on the big screen so we tucked round the side in the quieter restaurant area. The bar staff were pleasant and efficient. Our drinks were fresh and nicely poured. I had an excellent cooked breakfast which was much better than the poncy one I had in a Brighton cafe earlier in the weekend. It was perfectly cooked and I really enjoyed it. My other half had the chili which was very nice and clearly all home cooked. He was very happy with it.We then had a quiet drink in the garden which seemed clean and well maintained. The only negative was that once the football had finished the juke box went on at full volume. Not being local we didn't ask for it to be turned down but it was a bit off-putting having music that loud in the restaurant. I would recommend keeping the volume a bit lower round there than in the bar. That was a only minor issue. The important thing is the quality of the food which was excellent. I also thought it was pretty good value too.

Just wanted to shout about the Prince Albert we regularly visit with all the family, the children are well catered for with fun menu's they can colour in and lots of fenced in space outside including a bouncy castle, play house and climbing frame. Us adults enjoy the wide range of drink choices and the amazing home cooked food they have on offer. Would advises everyone to pop in and try.

A lovely pub with great food at decent prices, popular drinks and warm and welcoming staff! The family contribution and effort is refreshing! It's hard to find a family that can work together but they do it well! The staff (relations or otherwise) all get along well - laughing and enjoying their shifts. Such friendly and smiling people make you feel at ease and comfortable.Massive portions of deliciously cooked food for reasonable prices! I did a little questioning and almost everything is handmade by the cook - seems like he's got some talent up his sleeves! Good vibes radiate from the punters (that seemed to be regulars) addressing and chatting to many other customers, adds to the feel of a friendly pub. It was a fairly busy time of day that we visited but never felt ignored or forgotten about.

Nice little pub, one of only two in Copthorne. Live music is usually a good standard and stays open late for those that like to dance into the small hours! They serve food also, which I've heard is quite nice, but not tried it personally yet.

2000's. This was my first visit back, with old friends, one of whom used to work there for me, just to see what the place is like. To say it was awful is an understatement. Myself and two friends walk in to be greeted by three men sitting by the Bar staring at us like we are not welcome. The woman behind the Bar didn't seem too pleased to see us either. Anyway, I order three pints of Coors Light, to be given three Pints of cloudy beer with loads of bits floating in it, to say this would be unappealing again is an understatement. Being the beer was so bad, I asked for them to be changed, to which I received a scowl for, and then was thrown three new pints in front of me.I put this to one side, and thought that I would see how the rest of the Pub is. I honestly wish I hadn't done so.The Smoking Shelter seemed like it had not been cleaned in weeks, with at least 100+ cigarette buts on the floor (I'm not exaggerating, I was counting!). The rest of the garden was no better, with ashtrays on all the garden tables being completely full, as if they hadn't been emptied in weeks also. The grass in the garden had not been cut in weeks, and their bouncy castle, which is the same one which was there when I was there, was left in out in the open, and had been repaired by duct tape and staples. The gents toilets were little to be desired, upon walking in I was hit with a horrible smell of faeces... Which made me wretch to begin with... No-one is in the Pub, how can it smell this bad?The icing on the cake for me though, is the Livestock that they have behind the Garage which is by the Kitchen!! I was in shock! They have ferrets, chickens & ducks from what I saw... This being in such close proximity to the Kitchen, this has to be a hazard. EHO would have a field-day here!All-in-all, this was one of the most depressing visits to a pub I have ever had. I genuinely was close to tears upon leaving to see what this Pub has become. I ebb left three quarters of a pint, which is rare for me, however, as I said the beer was terrible. Now I no this may seem like someone going on a rant about a former pub they worked at, but this is not the case, I still enjoy drinking in all my former pubs, but this was just utterly depressing & I would recommend this Pub is avoided whilst it is under it's current managementavoided whilst it is under it's current management.
