I strongly agree with the other reviews about the poor ordering experience. Part of the fun was seeing all the salads and toppings and asking for extras. By forcing customers to use the kiosk they have lost the opportunity to up sell. This Subway has a firm restriction on how much salad you can have for five pounds. This is not a corporate rule but can be set by the franchisee. I will never use this place again as my local Subway does not have the kiosks or salad restriction.

Dirty place,tables not cleaned, lady made sandwich with gloves that she did everything with..including handling till and cash! poor service.. English not her 1st language! Need some training and common sense!

New ordering system is ridiculous, can't order things how you want them, takes twice as long and you can't see your food being made. The old way was much more straightforward and quicker, change for changes sake to try and justify the huge price increases for worse quality food.

Absolutely disgusted with the service I just received. I was told that if I want to order using card payment, I could not order directly with the employee. I was basically refused service because the company have taken the card payment machine away from the employees to use. Me the customer!! likes to order my food directly with the employee!! I LIKE TO SEE MY SUB BEING MADE. The company have covered the whole glass with a big green sheet saying use the Kiosk... I don't think so!?! What happened to ordering your subway and wathing it being made and having an interaction with the employee. Tey might as well put robots behind the counter now. Bring back the old way of ordering the food, we should have a choice of what we want to do, I don't care if the company is going to save money by installing kiosks, I don't use them and never will. If I was going to order my food using a machine, I would sit at home and order on Deliveroo. I will not be forced to use these kiosk machines!! DISGRACEFUL!! just lost a loyal customer 😡😡🤬😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😡😡

Come to this subway every month for around 2 years. Got two meals for me and my partner. The new order screens are gd but waited nearly 20 minutes for my food. To then sit down an have burnt bread, must b running out of chicken tikka as was hardly any in my footlong. Was all salad an sauce. Never coming back here after spending £19.89. Place has gone down hill majorly. All seats were taken as people getting take aways were waiting that long they sit down an people eating in then can't sit down. Tables an floor were dirty, like hadn't been cleaned that day. Go else where if u want value for yr money

Toilets STILL out of order. Over a month now. Pull your finger out. Anybody tempted by the bacon cheese stack, dont bother. Very thin. Looks totally different from the advert.

We ordered Via Deliveroo, and were unable to make changes to the order on the app, a pop up said we needed to call the restaurant if we had any Allergies. I called straight away and the phone just rang, i called again and got an answer. Asking for one of the subs ordered to not contain cheese (due to allergies/intolerance) and egg. I was told i could not change the order because he had already toasted the sandwich, i asked if he would make a new one, and the phone was put down.

I always find Subway good for a filling lunch with so many choices of fillings and sauces. Good options for veggies and vegans too. Meal deals are quite reasonable. Don't expect much in the way of atmosphere, it is functional and the seating is designed for short stays. I had a tex next sun on hearty Italian bread, nice and spicy and good with some crunchy salad

Always enjoy subway but on this occasion the tables were dirty with cruise on the tables it wasn't busy so they could have been cleaned.

Staff are polite food is ok parking is 👍

We love Subway, our favourites are meatballs and tuna sub. Service is always good. Last visit at Chatham Dockside, the floor was not clean, litter left behind by ignorant customers unwilling to clear up after themselves.

The floor could be a bit cleaner but the service is very good 👍🏻 and the plant based steak sandwiches are good. We tried this Subway twice and both times we where served by the same person who was nice ( a south asian man ). They get bonus points for being inclusive and treated everyone equally nice and respectful, other businesses in the area don’t hold the same standards.

Absolutely shocking, no one I store and still made my so wait for 12 minutes as he was "busy" eager to go home and not wanting to serve the kid, had to go in and ask what the old up was,. It was then that he decided to serve the kid after nearly 20 mins waiting.

The man who serves in this Subway is in need of some customer service training. Very rude! Luckily the lady there with was lovely or else I would have walked out that shop

I waited about 30 mins just to get cold undercooked food, only one person was serving and she took 10 mins to make 1 sandwich while the other guy cleaned and stood around when they supposed to close at 10 and this was at 8.15 and i finally left at 8.45. I won't be wasting money or time here again seeing as there's more bad reviews then good. Just avoid at all costs its a waste

The guys serving there didn't know who ordered what sandwiches and it was very slow service.

We came for meal at 21.15 in Chatham Subway. The cleaner says that they are understaffed and they are closed. In website closing time is 22.00, in shop 21.30. Unbelievable... Open for deliveries, what a shame. We came for 2 sandwiches, which could take to make 5 min.

Arrived at 21:10 to have a lovely subway, 20 min before closing time. To find that the doors and locked and 2 employees cleaning up saying that they are closing early as they are understaffed.

Slow service due to inexperienced new staff members who were passing on the workload to the senior member. Avoid if your in a hurry. Competitive pricing and good choice of fresh ingredients.

Best Subway in the town. Staff was friendly and polite. Cleanliness was 10/10. There veggie portion was fresh which is not common in most of the places. I would Highly recommend that place.

I asked them if they had Pepsi Max and they asked *me* to go and check???? Surely you should know what you stock in your own workplace?

I think subway needs to improve on customers and staff wearing face masks 1 person out of 20 has used a face mask ( on average). Not even the workmen are wearing it

Nice turkey breast 12 incher with all the trimmings.

Had a salad - very generously packed and delicious as always. Lower stars since the person who made my meal didn't have his mask on right - he didn't breathe all over my food, but still he should be wearing it properly when handling things people will consume. The lady after me did tell him off for it...

Staff looked about ready to walking into moving traffic. No smile. No greetings. Very blunt one word answers, didnt listen to the orders had to keep repeating myself.

Omg the hash browns!!! Yummmmmmy. Good price. Polite staff front of counter but very slow service. There seemed to be 1 member serving...she was brilliant, 1 on the phone while also service the salad and sauce.....could not remember my order. A third hanging in the doorway eating with food prep gloves on. Tasty. And no cheesy bread!!!!! Sad days! Good sandwich though.

No customers but us, 3 staff working, tables and floor full of rubbish, bin overflowing, salad and meat stands needed tidy and refill, staff were messing about behind counter and out back. Decided not to eat. Walked out. Never been to a subway I wasnt happy with till now. Shame.

Foot long meat feast sub.. Didn't have the right bread for it. Apparently meat feast is two slices of ham, five slices of pepperami or salami and four meat balls.. The picture has like eight. You know what I'm actually going back in to demand more meatballs. It hardly filled half the bread.

Dockside outlet subway , only brown bread , breakfast sub was disgusting 10. 45 am thrown together , shop staff don't talk only grunt , very displeased

Right subway you need to go into here and retrain then as it’s awful. First to go in seeing a guy with a scabby neck which he is scratching all over the food, then using the same gloves for meat and vegetarian food - I had to tell him to change them. The staff were not interested, massive queue out the door and they were just staring at the walls. The guy on the till had nail varnish on which was falling off. Seriously!!! It was so nasty

The place always looks filthy and the tables are look like they could do with a good clean, not just the flash of a dirty cloth. Tables outside are always full of rubbish. Food is ok but it makes you wonder, if this is how they treat the area where the customer sees, then what is the area like where you can't see.

OMG! I can just about understand the franchisee not offering a discount for Emergency Services. But to REFUSE to serve tap water, after feeding a family in their restaurant! Shiv (name tag) appears to be a tight, mean-spirited franchisee, and I can only suggest Nando's next door.

One member of staff serving who was on her phone when I first entered and then again as soon as the transaction finished. The whole place was unclean and the food didn't look fresh how it typically would. Don't fancy going to that branch again...

The staff did not smile and mumbled under breath. When I told them my drink didn’t taste right they just stood staring at me as if i was being stupid.

Awful service, didn’t look at me once while serving, mumbling so I couldn’t hear properly and neither of the staff smiled once. Having been here before and going to many subways I found this is the worst subway experience I have ever had. Will not be returning.

My friends and I hadn't even entered the restaurant and we were 'greeted' by the man shaking his head at us. We eventually entered and he moodily listed the ingredients they didn't have. He then told us it would be a half an hour wait for what we asked for so we said we would wait and he moaned. This is the only bad experience I have had with subway but this staff member was just rude.

I come here quite a lot, staff very nice, it’s a nice touch that they know what I normally order, makes me feel welcome. As for the food, not had a bad chicken sub compared to other subways, usually cheap chicken but not from this subway

Was really cool to have a change in menu at subway coming from canada. Loved having the chicken Tikka option. Can't believe it's not an option in North america!

The service was average. The subs were badly put together, and the bread could have been better. The place looks like it needs a deep clean.

We had a quick sandwich here recently and it was your average subway; the staff were not friendly nor unfriendly, just a bit indifferent. The food was nice. I was disappointed again to find no baby changing facility in the toilet - despite it being a large space with a long wall with nothing on it - it wouldn't take much to put a changing facility there.

I didn't go subway just walked passed it but Google maps is asking me how my subway was

My struggle: After a hard 56 minutes of study at university I was hungry. Driving out the gates I thought to myself, "I'd love a chipotle Subway." So away I drove to dockside for my dream sub. Little did I know the nightmare to come. "Sorry we have no chipotle chicken", they told me to my horror. Dejected I pressed on, "I'll just have a tuna sub, and make it up with some cheese & onion crisps and a pepsi." £6.80 was the total. "Expensive", I thought. I turned to the crisp stand, the nightmare had only just begun. The only crisps left were some Doritos cheese & feet flavour, disgusting. I picked up a pack. To the drink machine I moved, surely some sugar will pick me up, maybe some cool pepsi. I chose to select my drink - but just like in life, any choice but disappointment was an illusion. There was no Pepsi, only Pepsi Max. I paid £6.80 for a sub I hadn't dreamt of, a bag of crisps that shouldn't exist, and a drink less sugary than my tears. But at least it didn't give me food poisoning yet.

Good cheap reliable food and courteous staff bit messy though on a couple of occasions but they were v v busy and otherwise fab !😀

Subway is a frequent place I go since it’s round the corner from where I work and a semi regular. We always tend to get Will whom is always been lovely and genuinely a nice guy to have a laugh with! Always gives us flawless service. Definitely my favourite subway place of all subways around :) as per, be back again!

Popped in today, but didn't stay & order - it was filthy, none of the tables had been cleared or cleaned & the bin was overflowing. Put us off eating there.

Two helpful polite and few staff, food was good. Reasonably clean.

We have been in here before and it was nice . This time we went in the service was okay , 3 guys behind the counter . There was rubbish all over the floor , they were not busy , but they didn't come out to clean up for some time . The tables were dirty and the floor was a disgrace , we will not use this one again .

Such a radiant smile greeted us from the lady on the fillings section, followed by such a helpful friendly gentleman on the till, who kindly said I will bring your hot drinks to your table. We arrived 12.30 yesterday Tuesday 19th, thereafter the queue was very busy and remained that way for the hour we were there whilst enjoying our Tuna and cheese salad. The male shop assistant came to clear away our salad bowls and once again he was polite and friendly and although still busy gave us a lovely warm smile. The young lady assistant kindly opened the door as we left despite having her arms full of discarded packaging, I thanked her and once again she displayed such a warm natural smile. The company should thank their lucky stars to have such lovely people working for them, our lunch + drink was only £3.50 each, whereas I have eaten in A La Carte restaurants and have never been served by such warm, genuine friendly staff.

just your basic subway. never usually busy so can easily run in for something quick. they do some good meal deals.

My first visit to a Subway and certainly my last. I was dragged here by my 13 year old son who assured me it was ok. Well, he was wrong. Very wrong. Filthy restaurant and vile food. Had a very bad tummy the next day. Horrible.
