Always great value for money pretty outdoor are at back of venue

Lovely location, right opposite the playground and beach. Lots of seating, with a nice outdoor covered seating area for smokers or just to enjoy the view. The food arrived quickly, and was as expected for a wetherspoons.

What can you say! It's a typical Wetherspoon. Decor was good and view of sea front was good. Food was served quickly and well presented. It are in Herne Bay and want a pub lunch then this is the place!

This pub has some great deals on food and drinks. Food portions are not that large but you can get a reasonable meal from around £5.50 including a soft drink. It's quite a large pub with plenty of seating including an outside area. It has air conditioning which is nice on a hot day It's cheap so it's busy most of the time,if you want a peaceful drink this is not the place for you. They have plenty of staff so you won't wait too long to be served and despite them being busy my food order arrived within 15 minutes.

Very dark and dingy in the Saxon Shore. Pub is ground floor but has a couple of steps to a lowered level. Staff were helpful and quickly cleared a table for us. Had a Stella & Merlot for around £8 which is about right. Some outside seating available at the front of the building. Didn't stay long as the atmosphere & clientele were questionable.

It's a spoons so not much atmosphere but staff were very nice and pleasant much cheaper than central London but I know why

Food was shocking tonight. Nothing like as good as in Canterbury. The pizza dough wasn't cooked but we were told it couldn't go back in the oven. The chips were in the curry sauce so limp and soggy. In Canterbury they're lovely and have the curry sauce in a little jug so you can dip them in. We wasted £18 on this! We were coming back on carnival night with friends but we'll go elsewhere now.

Would leave zero stars if I could Food disgusting dirty tables, doesn't look like it's been cleaned for months. How they haven't been shut down I don't know.

I ordered the Beyond plant based burger, which actually tasted nothing like a Beyond burger. They are the only burgers I eat, this one had bits in it. When I questioned it, they said we have what we're given

Classic 'spoons experience. Food (4x breakfasts - er, not all for me, there were 4 of us) was absolutely fine.

You can always rely on a Wetherspoon. You know just what you are going to get, however this one was a bit better that. The bar staff were excellent and the serving and clearing staff were outstanding. Probably the best JD I have been to.

Took my son for lunch, he loved it. Service quick and friendly staff. Tracy stood out for me, helped a lady that seemed new to serve me. She checked that my son was enjoying his meal. I love it there, but Mr wetherspoon, please invest some money into this pub. Its starting to look very tired. Your staff are keeping it going due to their great service. Love the cheap breakfast as well.

Decent enough 'Spoons-by-the-sea, much like all 'Spoon pubs, but atmosphere brought down by unpleasant scowling barman who spent the entire evening looking like he wanted to start a fight, (just not suited in a 'customer facing' role, might do well in MMA caged stuff)

Use this place a lot. Breakfast is great value for money. Glad they have added a few extra food choices to menu now thou. Staff are normally happy n friendly. It's always busy so that speaks for itself

The table service was very bad. 3 girls behind the bar 20 minutes & no drinks, I when to bar to find out. It took them some time for them to ask me what I wanted. Said order some drinks about 22 minutes ago one said saw that on the screen, ask about the manager one said was the manager, I said is this the way to serve customers all I got was a look

We have been in many wetherspoons in the UK and Ireland. Today here we found a particular supercilious member of staff...bored and pointing to the menu I was ordering from regarding the choice of sauce "read them yourself" the sauce usually came without choice in our experience so we did not know! He was not helpful..not happy at all...even heard him tell a customer about an ale that 'it could take 2 or 3 hours to clean the pipes before the beer could be served again saying "how do I know when it will be on again" ..but the badge was never turned to show the beer was not being served. Very disappointed have to give this one a miss now!

First visit and had a disabled young lady and a new baby with us. The layout was perfect for our needs and courteous staff. We didn't wait long for our food which was hot and exactly what we ordered

Typical whetherspoons food. Lively staff. Bit dark at the back due to low ceilings. Could do with a bit more light. But otherwise its eat you expect fir a spoons

Just had breakfast with my family and really enjoyed everything about the experience. The staff were all so friendly, attentive and helpful; especially Tracy, who is a real credit to Wetherspoon’s and went above and beyond with the personal touch that makes customers feel welcome and looked after. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. A highly recommended pub.

6 adults 2 children we ordered from the same table paid in 3 couples, food came out wrong cold and at different time's, mixed grill looked like it's sat under the hot plate for couple hours, Curry cold sent back, then came out microwaved to death, no children's menu or fruit shoots, staff didn't really give a stuff, my advice is to avoid, and to the venue itself you know you're going to have a busy day employ staff that can do the job in the kitchen and on the floor.

Food was small portions. Only nice thing was the currys. The staff were disgusting told my younger sister she couldnt drink. Shes 21 with dwarfism.

My favourite bar in Herne Bay because they have strawberry and lime Kopperberge on draft. The food here is good for the price. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. It has a front and back garden.

Good food but unfortunately lunch was spoiled by the local Mum's using it as a creche allowing children to run and crawl unchecked around the restaurant

I visited on Saturday the 27th Lovely staff and atmosphere. Although very busy excellent service. Unlike two years ago which was. Not good. We had a lovely afternoon with our granddaughter and family. Thank you all at weatherspoons saxon shore xxxxx

I love a wetherspoons. You know what your getting - a decent meal and good value. I had one of the nicest cooked bits of chicken I have ever eaten out. Nephews steak was cooked to perfection, fish and chips was spot on. Polite and attentive waitress - 10/10.

6 of us ....We went for a walk along the seafront today and came across this 'Spoons' never felt treated better! The staff were so obliging - really couldn't do enough for us. The food was good, the prices amazing and the atmosphere congenial to the time of year. All in all a great experience! We've spent more and definitely got less at other bars!

The darkest of the Spoons...I think it needs different lighting to make a better experience. Food was good, usual good supply of beers etc. A regular stop when I'm in the bay...

I use this particular Spoons a lot, be it for breakfast lunch or other. The Staff are excellent and I’ve got to know several personally over the years. Jodie and Emma are particularly lovely, and deserve a name check. The decor needs sorting out as it’s very tired and now looks dirty, but overall it’s a cheap and friendly place to go.

Quite a locals Spoons, considering it's on the sea front. Whilst the service was good it doesn't feel as welcoming as many Spoons. Ales well kept but served with a Northern head despite being on the English Channel! Food was usual good quality served quickly. I was comfortable here but my partner won't be rushing back.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Very good food and quick service. We would probably visit again rather than using some of the local cafes.

Went for an evening meal. The noise levels from the young men at the bar was horrendous. A couple near to us moved tables to put distance between them and the lads in the bar. We were glad to leave after our meal.

A Wetherspoons pub right on the seafront at Herne Bay. Much bigger than it looks on the outside. Very popular and busy on the Saturday evening that we visited but food still served in good time and very tasty. Prices excellent as always so the whole family satisfied when we left. Job done! :-)

A good pub for those with a wheelchair or mobility scooter. Stopped here for a late lunch. Had that favourite dish Cod and Chips with mushy peas. Our food was promptly delivered and you got your monies worth. Had we bought the same meal across the road it would have cost 3x more, so excellent value for money.

Basic spoons experience. Nothing to rave about, nothing to complain about either. It just is what it is.

Food was awful and had to be sent back 3 times. One of people with us asked for refund at first was refused but gor there in end. I've been to weatherspoons a few times and food has always been awful.

Brilliant place when visiting family!

I visited the Herne Bay Wetherspoon a few times and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. Though it's just a spoon, the location is prime, and the ambiance was just right for a quiet afternoon out. The cleanliness of the establishment was okay, making my visit comfortable and worry-free. The food, even its "just a spoon", was fantastic. It was hot, fresh and delicious, proving to me that they use only the freshest ingredients. Their prices were normal as always and very reasonable, not leaving a big dent in my wallet. I was particularly happy to see they had plenty of brown sauce available as some other places can run out of it, but that wasn't the case here. All in all, I can say without a doubt that I'll be returning to the Herne Bay Wetherspoon for another dining experience. If you're looking for good food and great service in a prime location, look no further. Highly recommend!
