Subway in Canterbury

Eating here is just like eating a subway in New York, Miami, or Chicago...except from this one you see in the distance the magnificent and storied spires of the Canterbury Cathedral. Who wouldn't want to have that view whilst enjoying a fine subway sandwich?

I got refunded 9 pence for missing items and a cremated sub. I spent £18 to be traumatised by a sub that tasted like it was held over a Bunsen burner. I would rather walk a mile on Lego BAREFOOT than go there again.

Brilliant subway experience today at 1:30 ish. Two girls who were staff were helpful quick and fun to speak with. Subways were great as usual. Efficient quick and tasty

It says on the sigh outside openes at 8am i went in at 8:45 doors unlooked walked in the be yelled at by a woman stuff member we are not open yet and when i said the signs says 8am to be i told i dont care what the sign say i say when we open

They keep hiring people who don’t speak any English at all. I oreldered food from there today spent £22 and never recieved my food on the map said the driver was around the corner he called me up and said outside outside but I was standing at the door and couldn’t see anyone I then called him back and he said no English no English so I said take the first left when you come in from the main road and then he just hung up the phone so I tried calling subway and their phon is switched off so I couldn’t call them to see what was going on so I’ve requested a full refund and have been told I can’t get one because on the just eat app it says delivered

Subway was ok, however the seating area was dirty all tables had food/drink remnants and they weren't busy.

An absolutely appalling place. Staff are rude, uninviting and quite clearly untrained. I do not recommend buying from this branch.

Love how most of their breads are vegan now. Love the vegan patty with vegan cheese in a sub with salad, vegan garlic alioli and sticky sweet chilli sauce!

I love subway but this store in particular never seems to have the bread variety that others have, you usually have a choice of two.

Used to go for breakfast when they actually opened at the stated 7am. Now they have the door unlocked but turn people away saying they don't open until 8. When I was able to get food I used to have to wait 5 minutes before someone would come out from the back. Not great.

Usual problem with these places now. It's on some app for delivery. So all the staff concentrating on making about 20 sibs for delivery. The queue just got longer and longer. Almost walked out, but my son had gone to the bank and wasn't back yet.

No Gluten Free Bread so Salad again

Visited this place after a reasonably long day, wanting a sub. Was told by the rude lady that you can not sit down and must take away. Even though there were loads of tables? Just the staff had decided to pack them up after lunch. They didn't want to clean or what? This is unacceptable why have a huge shop just to ban people from being there??????? I think Subway and / or the franchisee should review the quality of this Subway and their staff!!!! At least Burger King let me sit down

Entramos aquí después de un viaje de compras con ganas de una ensalada y nos sentamos por 20 minutos. Cuando nos estaban sirviendo, el servidor no escuchó lo que quería e hizo lo que él quería. Tenía ganas y hambre, así que lo dejé pasar. Pedí usar el baño y me dijeron que estaban cerrados por la noche. La tienda se cierra a las 9 pm y esto fue alrededor de las 4: 45 pm. Biggest Subway rest in Canterbury. It is a pretty busy place, especially at lunch time but sales assistants are normally fast and you don't need to queue for too long. I like the place because it's very bright inside during the day. Also the food its delicious. People working there are always smiling, sl that makes it even better.

Food meets the standard but the staff range from nonchalant to rude and slow, new student employment might help as it seems to be the older staff with the attitude. But aside from that the food is as good as expected

Subs were hardly toasted and not warm once we got to eat them also ordered hash browns these had been blasted for less then a minute under a grill although felt reasonably hot on outside inside was cold and uncooked just tasted like defrosted hash brown...no seating had to go find a bench on otherside of road to eat

Previously left positive reviews for this subway, but recently staff are getting worse, they seem to care more about their Uber eats orders than customers present. Also they use electronic equipment without taking off their gloves then go back to touching your food.

Floor really messy with food, rubbish left laying around, hardly any tablets and seats for people to sit they need to take away big table and replace with smaller ones so more seats, teenagers sitting and brought nothing all spread out just hanging, staff not that nice, all messy where they do the food as there is bits of food are in different sections not just in their own as I nearly ate spicy jalpino and if i had would have suffered chest pain for rest day because I have alcers in my food pipe, haven't noticed any of them change their gloves when doing food, they watered down the sauce so much it's runny and very tasteless, salad tastes like it's not fresh noticed few bits lightly brown and roll tastes And looks stale and they don't make subs with care and love all roll all split and food hanging out and sauce squirted and on paper, cheese and meat not measured in scoop and seemed fed up when asked for more salad as only have me little.Cappuccino tastes very watery and don't put choc on top cappuccino.

If I could give them a negative score I would. Google maps and the sign on their window shows that they close at 10pm but I get there at 8.10pm to see that they are closed and the staff can only say there is nothing they can do about it. I think what they can do is can change the information on their window and Google maps as well.

Food fine and staff friendly but this is a very busy subway and the staff were struggling to keep the tables clean when customers didnt clean up after themselves.

I often come here for breakfast. The food is always nice and reliable, and there's not much queueing in the morning. It's... slightly dysfunctional, and on more than one occasion they've been out of milk or hot water, but generally it's a good place to have a solid breakfast. Update: WiFi never seems to work, and yet again I've gotten to the end of my order only to be told that there's no tea as the ability to heat up water once more eludes them..

Great. Provides customisable meals with vegetarian and vegan options. Can eat in or take away. Not a problem, great service, but some workers have strong accents (nothing against them or I have a problem with) so you may have to explain you cannot understand then or they have to repeat. Obviously not their fault, and they seem chill about it. Very good!

Richbrough, sandwich, kent is my favourite but its too far for me to go so I use the Canterbury one next to odeon more and its ok but the only problem is at Canterbury you have to ask for a high chair as they lock them in the store room and if its busy it takes for ever to get one and if u have a hot sub its almost cold by the time u get the high chair

Vine aquí por un sándwich y quedé muy decepcionado. En primer lugar, la persona delante de mí era estar sirve pero nadie estaba sirviendo a mí. Tuvimos que esperar bastante tiempo. Cuando finalmente me sirvieron el joven con pelo rubio dijo "qué quieres" no puedo decir nada más. Yo estaba indignado cómo usó el mismo cuchillo para cortar cada sándwich y a enfermos en papel. Hoy fui a recuperar mi sub. Siempre hemos sido impresionados con el servicio hasta hoy. Sirvieron por una señora llamada Marie. Ella ya había sido grosero a mi amigo antes de mano. Luego, cuando va a pagar, le dije que tenía un BLT y ella se volteó y me fui no, no y no tienen para BLTs dos años. Así que ese sería un extra de 50 p para el tocino. Fui que es divertido porque compré un BLT aquí hace un par de semanas? Y ella me chistaba(.

Mis amigos y yo fuimos a este metro hoy. Uno de mis amigos es vegetariana, por lo tanto, preguntó por un vegetariano patty. Después pedí un pollo y bacon ranch se derrite, el hombre recogió una llenadora vegetariano patty para mis amigos sub. Nos sirvió el mismo chico, que no cambió sus guantes entre las dos raciones.

We visited today and have been before and unfortunately the standard has not improved. The tables, floors and chairs were covered in food. It is good they have aircon in there, however this subway steams up in colder months and it gets humid inside.This subway has limited toilets and the typical 'subway' smell. The staff are also quite slow and it wouldn't hurt to smile a little more.The food does seem on par with other subways and always has the range of fillings.

In Canterbury we have three subway is located at the top of town Middle of town and bottom of town.This Subway is located at the top of town and is very close to the Canterbury bus station.Like any subway it's reasonably priced fast food and the staff were very nice. The place could be cleaner but I had a takeaway so that didn't bother me

Thought we'd pop in for a quick lunch. The tables were dirty with flys buzzing around. Staff we're completely clueless. Both Children wanted children's subs but instead got adult portions, which they couldn't eat as too large. Won't be going back to this particular branch and would never recommend it.

A standard subway on the ring road, outside the city walls and convenient for three of the universities and visitors to the nearby Odeon cinema. Near bus station and main shopping streets. Standard sandwich options and fizzy drinks.

One late, rainy evening I decided to order from subway - I wish I hadn't. The driver called me up to say he was outside, so I went out in the cold and rain to meet him. He wasn't there so I went back inside. A few minutes later he called me and he said he was past the roundabout - I don't live near a roundabout? I gave him quite clear directions and he said he didn't know the area, nor did he know the names of any hotels around. He named some random estates miles away. Eventually he turned up after 1hr 40mins of ordering. The sub was cold, soggy and inedible. Would have been quicker for me to go and order in branch - why offer delivery if your drivers don't even know the road names in the local area?

2 Hours wait, stone cold and wouldn't pick up the phone. Rubbish.
