This place needs to close down. Do not come here for drinks or anything. Do not apply here they will not pay u for your trial shift. Angela is a manager there and she is extremely rude and patronising to her staff. Angela u need to fix your attitude the way you speak to your staff is disgusting be ashamed of yourself and you call yourself a manager. ALSO THEY DO NOT WASH THEIR CUPS BE WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Violent, filthy, ridiculously overpriced. Disgusting place! £5 entry. £7.50 for a horrible smelling pint. £11-15 for a "double" in a plastic cup. Security had a fight between themselves. Clouds of flies at the bar. Ordered two Tequila Rose shots BOTH had a fly in them! Cups covered in lipstick. Disposable cups and straws being "cleaned" and reused. Owner/Manager is the rudest woman I've ever met in my life. I'm not surprised she's understaffed with the way she talks to them. The only people in there seem to be the sort that are barred from everywhere else. Don't go there! Place should be shut down!

The place is so loud you can hear it down the street, which totally ruins the atmosphere of any scenic walking in the afternoon. Sitting inside, you can barely talk to the person next to you. There are better pubs and bars within a 2 minute walk. Skip this one.

Rude and obnoxious unnecessarily loud music that takes over the entire block You can't even hear to talk over a drink. Just a stupid drunk college bar vibe. Skip it and go elsewhere.

Disgusting security firm , my friend was unconscious on floor outside opposite there building and one security guard decides to film and zoom in on her in a vulnerable state. When confronted he denied it but clearly on his camera roll there. Head of security was very helpful but no action was taking. Appalling security. Reported to police

Manager is absolutely awful and should not be aloud to talk to anyone. Treats her staff horribly. If you considering a job, don’t.

did a trial shift here that they said they would me pay me for and then ghosted my messages when i inquired about getting paid. The manager is unorganised, extremely rude and patronising to customers and especially staff. Please save your money and go somewhere else 🙏

Terrible place, I saw the owner (Angela) verbally berate her staff members and be very unprofessional. I would NEVER recommend this place.

Came here for a few drinks with my boyfriend on a Saturday evening and it was full of immature students bouncing around the place, struggling to handle their drink. On the topic of drinks, we spent 17 odd quid on 2 double “vodka” and cokes to only find out that the “vodka” was watered down so much, it was like we was drinking sugar water & coke. Didn’t even bother challenging this, we just swallowed our pride with wasting £5 on entry fee’s and the disgusting drinks. Wouldn’t recommend.

Don’t work here unless you want to not be paid and screamed at by a crazy lady for the whole shift! The manager is so nice at the start and as soon as she hires you she becomes her true self which isn’t pretty, just don’t do it !

Don't waste your money on drinks prices that wouldn't be out of place in London

Absolute shambles. Hire young uni students who are desperate for first time work, the manager is abusive, rude, threatening and outright childish to staff members new and old. My friend had some trial shifts and received no breaks. At all. Over a 8PM-4AM shift and multiple long overnight shifts. Underpaying staff, abusing colleagues and employees is outright horrendous. DO. NOT. SUPPORT. THIS. COMPANY.

Incredibly rude manager, rude to staff rude to customers. Couldn't handle having more than 1 customer at one time and the place stunk to high heavens. Avoid, go to alberrys over the road instead.

The manager was very rude to us. A group of 40 year olds were treated like children. As all the other reviews state she is very rude and it’s a shame she is “running the bar” more like “running it into the ground”.

The Masterclass we took part in was amazing, the staff were very attentive and made the experience fun - even adapted some drinks for the fussy drinkers! Best birthday activity, and shoutout to Louis on his first shift, he was great!

I was served by a lovely girl I believe her name was Ellie but the way that the manager was talking to her was ridiculous. Santo was great, really helpful to invite me to the loft

Great place to go for anyone looking for a good time. My friends and I went last weekend and had a great time, staff are friendly and drinks are amazing!

Customer review (not staff). My husband got us a cocktail masterclass and we couldn't fault our visit, the manager was nice and knowledgeable. The cocktails were tasty and we were able to take some useful tips home when making our own. It seems a shame that behind the scenes there may be issues but we wouldn't have known on our visit.

Please do not support this business, The owner Angela and the manager are bullies towards their staff members and rude to the public. Lots of young uni students have worked here and have been taken advantage of over many years, yet nothing has been done.

Arrived without booking and was pleasantly greeted by the staff and owner, offered to make me an original cocktail as I wasn’t a fan of the rest and it was lovely and also gave us a free shot and switched up the music when we asked! Will 100% be returning!

Great service. Was served very quickly and we were always being asked if our drinks were okay. We did not have to wait to be served and the bar staff and manager were very lovely to us. I would really recommend going here for a drink or two!

Avoid this place. No body came to take the order for half an hour though it was not a pretty busy evening while the couple came after me was served. Racist place.

While working here I was treated horrifically. The manager made me cry also She has tried to scam many people working for her. Her name is Angela. While I was working there she screamed at me as well as other staff members, calling Us all names while swearing at us. She did not try to pay me my wages, and when she did she paid me under minimum wage. Furthermore working there her bar staff were drunk while being on the job. When I left I left a bad review she then harassed me to delete my review of google, I then had to get my mum to stand for me as I wasn’t raised to disrespect old people, she finally payed me after speaking to a women of a older age. Also many other people have experienced this while being there. Do not recommend.

Discusting attitude from the woman (pretty sure she owns this place!!) Angela is the name. Absolutely shocked at how she treats her customers!!!!! You should be ashamed of yourself. Won't be running the show for long with a mouth like that.

Had a brilliant time making cocktails for a friends birthday - Daisy made it super fun and the drinks were really tasty!

Ordered a few cocktails, it said £6 on Fridays 6pm - 9pm but when we ordered (around 8pm) they said they don’t do that deal. The Long Island iced tea tasted like flat cola + water. Cocktails weren’t really strong at all. Shots were good tho and the only reason I’m not giving a 1 star. Staff were friendly but didn’t seem to know too much about what they were doing. 100+ better bars in Canterbury.

Walked in, fell over, drinks are so bad my son broke both his legs. Tunes were ok tho so have an extra star.

Be warned the loft still adds service charges on the drinks even though you are ordering from the bar….check your drink totals. The drink prices should be as per the drinks menu. Shame the bar really has gone down hill.

Might as well have made the drink myself, so much for an ‘accredited’ ‘world class’ owner!

Owner did not pay my friend for 2 weeks

the staff are lovely but the owner or manager is incredibly rude to both the customers and the waiting staff. Never have I seen someone be so inconsiderate and seemingly get pleasure out of making her staff cry. I actually like the drinks, layout and music but I won't be going back there because I don't want to support this woman. I feel sorry for anyone that has to work there.

Me and my fiance were visiting Canterbury for the weekend and found this cocktail bar on Google with some yummy cocktails. Turned up and half the cocktails weren't available anymore, the cocktails we did order took 30 mins and then after an hour we kicked out because they overbooked and needed our table!! Never again will we go here!

We were seated outside and they have a nice terrace area, however our drinks took 45 minutes to arrive and we only had 1 hour to spend there before our next booking! Such a shame, staff seemed very rushed and payment was also tricky. I must say the cocktail I had was nice but expected better for £8. Wouldn’t recommend - much nicer places elsewhere in town.

Loved it here! The bartender Ellie was very attentive and friendly, she made our experience here memorable! I would definitely recommend going here.

Booked a masterclass to celebrate the end of another year at university with my friends and it was great! Plenty of choice and the staff were very helpful in teaching us how to make them. Was impressed by the ingredients and equipment used too!

Way too expensive, 7£ for a really small place, with way too much people and the worst music ever. I mean, if you like only Indian/Arabian music and no "actual" music, well you'll find what you like. But otherwise, don't go here. This is the worst expense I've been able to make since I arrived in England. I'm clearly making a favor to anyone explaining here what I've experienced in this place.

Went to the privy which is another placed owned by the same manager, got the worst service I've witnessed in my life... that being no service, manager was unnecessarily rude and clearly had people skills equivalent of a common ape... Save yourself the time and money, book somewhere else!

I worked for the owner of this company at their new place the privy and she was rude to me and also her customers. The wait is way too long to get drinks and she still hasn't paid me for my shifts that I did. Even after 4 emails, I have recieved no reply or call and no sign of my money. I don't understand how this business is still running.

Did a trial shift and one days work for this place and never got paid for it. The staff are unapproachable and the manager is actually crazy- screaming at all the employees all day long! Would never recommend this place to anybody, especially not anybody looking for work!

Would never recommend anyone to work there or do a trial shift with them. Done 4 hours in the cold trial shift night and got paid a month and a 2/3 weeks later. £17.50 for 4 hours work. The music itself is not bad

Cocktails were ok, but we came here on a Wednesday, and other than the two people that worked there, we saw no one else in the venue in the 30 minutes we were there. It was 9pm at night, and we were baffled! Not even any students around - hopefully this isn't a true representation of the bar!

Always have a good night here. Great cocktails and good music. It is a bit small, but this just adds to a really good atmosphere. Start here and then onto the Cuban methinks!

Really like this place - good cocktails and the staff do their best to get to you as quickly as they can. Prices are reasonable and you can have a dance as well. Either go here or the Cuban which is a 500m walk around the corner.

Take one look at this place when its open and you'll realise why this rating is justified. Add to that the crowds of jack the lads and heavy handed bouncers and you've got yourself a recipe for a shockingly bad night out!

It's small but quite good place.
