The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South East

I’ve previously reviewed and rated highly the Hotel Continental in Whitstable. This time we used their restaurant and bar. It was excellent - terrific local oysters, burrata, a ploughman’s smoked salmon and moules marinières. With a bottle of Cortefresia Pinot Grigio and two glasses of red, the bill came to £142.45 for three. Being fogeys, we could have done without the live music, which they occasionally feature. But other people seemed to enjoy it.

I went for a drink with my Aunty, Uncle and cousins all of us are well over 18.. I only had my international drivers license to show my age. They would not accept it, I even had a photo of my passport as well as my Aunty asking if there was any way I could have a drink. They would not allow me to :( went down the road, didn’t even get asked for ID!!! Go to the star or crown..

I have never seen such a dirty costa I have sent a message to costa as yet no reply Email not working 😕 😒

Friendly staff, lovely selection of home made cakes and really nice coffee. Extra seating upstairs. Good break while shopping.

The meat is always dried out & tough like they've left it under the warmer for too long

I’m so disappointed from our visit. We ordered food and drinks and I was judged for what I had ordered my child and questioned as to whether I knew what I was ordering. Yes actually I do and the decision is entirely my own for reasons you do not need to be privy to. The festive sandwich range was very disappointing and lacked flavour and the location itself was absolutely filthy. Tables unwiped and the floor was dreadful, no wonder it was so quiet in here compared to everywhere else!!

Had 2 fabulous meals here whilst on our holiday. The food is first class every time. A special mention for the Lobster Thermidor which is the best I have ever eaten. The sauce is just amazing - you just have to try it. Fabulous service. Word of warning - if you want to try the Lobster Thermidor, ask to reserve one when you book a table, which is essential to avoid any disappointment. Thanks again. See you next year.

Well, looks like the portion size become smaller and smaller day by day but the price is the same 😏😏

Great fish finger sandwich and lovely bar staff. Discovered I’d lost my wedding ring a couple of hours after leaving the pub, we went back to check if I’d dropped it there…and the member of staff was amazing and put rubber gloves on and went through the bin in the loos and found it!! What a super star - I’m so grateful! We will definitely return - thank you so much!

Didn’t get the chance to try,turned up and notice on the door says ‘closed for the foreseeable future under new management’ would love to try when it is open so review not a true review o f the place.
