We were there to watch the boxing. Was very busy but great atmosphere.

Ah yes, what a delightful experience at this fine establishment. First off, the venue is massive—plenty of space to get lost on your way to the loo. The garden is equally enormous, perfect for letting your dog run free while you pretend to enjoy the atmosphere (which, to be fair, is actually quite nice). Bonus points for being dog-friendly—finally, somewhere my pup is welcome to suffer with me. We tried the chilli con carne on chips, which was surprisingly decent. A solid choice if you’re after something warm and comforting. The burger and chips? Let’s just say the chef must be on a strict low-sodium diet—zero trace of salt or pepper. Bold move, going for the “flavorless” trend. Now, the beers were... fine. Nothing to write home about, but at least they didn’t come with a twist of disappointment—unlike the Long Island Tea. And by Long Island Tea, I clearly mean whatever that was. Apparently, someone in the back thought “lemon” and “lemonade” were interchangeable. The result? The sweetest, most tragically confused cocktail I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting. Tasted like someone carbonated a mistake. All in all, a spacious, dog-friendly venue with an atmosphere that almost makes up for the cocktail crimes. Almost.

We stopped here for a quick drink and a game of pool. Two drinks came to £11 so pretty cheap. There wasn’t much music or atmosphere as the football was on various screens but that was fine for what we wanted. The pool was £1 a game and it was quiet when we went so we played 3 games. If you want a quick pint and a game of pool this place is great.

Talal was impeccable, he was polite, worked hard and made sure he completed the job before chatting to us. He knows how to sell and make us buy more drinks, what a hero. I want this man promoted and given a pay rise for behind a legend and taking the time to speak to us and finding common ground. He is a testimony to king and queen and is the only reason o stayed tbh. I usually hate it here.

Great pub with good beer on tap. Shows football games, too.

Great spot, plenty of sitting room, service was good, good selection of drinks, bouncers were friendly, there are heaters outside in the smoking area too (which was appreciated).

The fish was too mushy and the chips were too cold. Everything was cold and inedible. Disgusting. I was glad when we finally got out of there. We went straight to Five Guys to get some decent food.

The food was not tasty because the Burger was cold and didnot smell good.I would prever Burger with meat which is not made by industry.

Acabamos de parar aquí a tomar algo. Parecía un pub divertido y genial para grupos, ya que es tan espacioso. Asientos arriba, menú de comida, videojuegos incorporados en algunas de las mesas son divertidos. Aquí se reúnen todo tipo. La comida se veía bien a pesar de que en realidad no pedimos ninguno, y no tan caro. Amplia gama de bebidas y cómodos sofás.

We just stopped here for a drink. It seemed a fun pub and great for groups as it's so spacious. Upstairs seating, food menu, video games built into some of the tables are fun. All sorts meet here. Food looked good even though we didn't actually order any, and not so expensive. Wide range of drinks and comfy sofas.

Very cool setting. Can play pool. Decent outside space. Love the original decor.

We stayed for a while and had a beer with a few friends. The place is really cool, the atmosphere, and how everything is so well-maintained. And they even show some sports. It has a good capacity, and there's always somewhere to sit. The only bad thing was that at the end, when closing, they put too much pressure on us, and there was a table that didn't want to get up, and one of the bouncers got angry because someone at that table disrespected him. They didn't want to get up until they finished their drinks, and when the whole bar was cleared out, this guy had a very childish attitude. But hey, anyone can have a bad day, that's just 4 stars.

I visited this pub for the 1st time on 17th March 2025 hrs at around 1500 hrs as visiting Brighton for business…it was not busy! The manager of the pub bar came across as having no staff or customer service skills…the rest of staff were very good! Note to owners of this pub/chain in my humble opinion (a paying customer) the manager needs retraining! He came across as aggressive and unnecessarily rude for no reason to customers waiting to be served and to his staff in front of his customers which spoilt what should have been a pleasant experience! I did not eat so could not review food hence 1 star! This review has been made because my personal experience as a paying customer…which due to the managers attitude/actions was not a good one! If you wish to keep returning customers please address his attitude to his staff and customers! I wish you all the best…it’s not a difficult fix…you have a great pub and location!

Macaroni cheese wasn't great, staff member, vaping in front of laptop, not the most welcoming place.

First of all, pub quiz on a Monday is unmissable. Always fun, great prizes too Never know what to expect here but always a memorable time. Drinks are expensive and staff are not the quickest, friendly though!

The sheer size of this pub is awesome. It epitomises the concept of a sports bar with TV's everywhere. There is tons of security so it is safe, and great service at the bar. Wonderful!

Not the best restaurant, fish and chips were tasting bland asf, the bbq chicken melt was better but overall still mediocre.

Huge pub with plenty of screens showing various sports. Maybe a bit brightly lit, but otherwise a fun place for a drink. I was surprised to be asked for id at the door, but the bouncers were friendly enough.

We ate, drank and watched a soccer game. Without a doubt one of the best pubs in the city. There is good food, drinks of all kinds. The place is large and well decorated, the workers are also quite friendly and there is always a good atmosphere.

After a decade, coming here is unbeliavable. Love u Brighton, love u King&Queen

Most old and iconic watering holes in Brighton have really poor service due to the volume of people the folks are serving. Rowena at the bar front desk was so deeply compassionate and an active listener that she alone stands as the reason why I would go back to this place. She was actively listening in to what I wanted despite the place being so shouty on a game night. It won't be a stretch if I add that Rowena is the best busy-bar-server I have met so far in all of Brighton. Go Rowena!!!!

We attended a Wake and in a private room which was very nice. Food was excellent and staff friendly.

Old haunt of mine - went back with partner after several years aways from Brighton. Brought back all sort of good memories. THEY HAVE STREET FIGHTTER II arcade game :) and lots of pool tables. Bar staff a good laugh. We went before the Friday evening rush so nice and chilled. place is massive and big on sports so if that not your thing best to avoid on a match day. But great during quite times and lots of nooks and crannies to hide away in with a nice drink and someone to chat to cuddle with :)

I caught my wife in the intense throes of passion with one of the bouncers when I came in to watch the Fulham game with my friends, Eric the Stag and Barry 2.

Affordable place with good deals. Good to watch football matches or to have a couple of pints without spending much. Microwave type food, not the best service (cannot blame them, the place is usually overcrowded) and really noisy.

My wife and I often go to King & Queen. So far we have not been disappointed. We normally order from the "Small Plates" list. The food is always good, well prepared, freshly prepared and definitely a treat. Bar staff very polite and efficient. This place is a lovely place, whether sitting inside or outdoors. We think it's good value for money.

Absolute toppers. For a few days in Brighton during a European football round, it is difficult to watch the Dutch matches. Asked if this was possible, and we tried everything to broadcast the Dutch matches, and with success. Being able to watch both Ajax and Feyenoord matches, despite the fact that English football clubs were playing there. In addition, a super nice atmosphere, good beers and nice people. Recommended if you are in Brighton. Food is okay, but not very special. Especially a nice place for beers and a good English atmosphere.

Can't speak for the food or atmosphere as I was refused entry for absolutely no reason at all. I put a cigarette out and asked if there was somewhere to put it, so I didn't litter. Two incredibly unusual and passively aggressive door "men" took it upon themselves to insult me, suggest I never come back and that I had a bad attitude. Can't say I'd ever go back there. The two that opened their mouths were very rude, unreasonable and presumably in need of a cuddle or something. They must have been so unloved growing up, I really do feel for them. Alas, I found a bar that allowed me in and had a great night, but I feel sorry for anyone whose face might not fit. When these guys are around, I can guarantee you'll not enjoy a minute if your time here.

You can choose it for a fun atmosphere and delicious tastes.

Great atmosphere and service in this pub! We visited after getting married and had a lovely time while we were there. The staff were friendly, taking pictures of us on the winding stairs etc and the ale was good. This is a great pub within a very interesting building! Well worth a visit!

Service was great and drinks were ordered were well made. Decent selection of pints and vibes were good. We came in the middle of a weekday but I bet when football is on, this place is PACKED. Pool tables upstairs and lovely seats by the windows to people watch. Deffo worth a stop.

Visited on bank holiday Monday & unfortunately had sold out of first 2 meal choices but choose fish & chips as 3rd option & it wasn't a disappointment 😋 beautiful old building with so much character 😍

Pleasant enough pub. Bar staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. There were a couple of knobheads that entered before the bouncers came in shift although, that's not the pubs fault. Just had the one beer and on to the restaurant.

What a pub! It is very spacious and the atmosphere is awesome. I can tell they take care of the pub very well, it was clean throughout and the beer, especially Guinness tasted so much better than any other pubs I’ve visited. Also the food was pretty good.

Went to watch Aussie Rules football there. The staff were very accommodating. I will go back again.

Had to re-evaluate my score after today's rude doorman. Saturday 25th May 24. Came to watch FA Cup Final, The doorman (Heavy set guy in his 30s with short brown hair and short beard) was IDing a group of teens in front of me and when I went to walk in (I'm 38 and haven't been ID'd in years) he demanded ID. I said "I'm 38" and he condescendingly shouted "oh congratulations! Happy birthday *getting the attention of the other bouncer* hey did you hear he's 38!? ID!". After I produced my ID he sarcastically laughed "yeah just checking to see if ACTUALLY ARE THIRTY EIGHT!!!!" Im a regular here and have been for 20 years and I've never had a problem with any doorstaff here before and am good terms with most of them but this guy was rude and overstepped the mark. A simple "sorry I still need to check" would have sufficed. Instead he set the the tone and soured the afternoon for me.

My wife and I attended a friend’s wedding reception 10/5/24, the function room was well set out and guests were looked after completely. The bar staff were fast, professional and friendly, even at the busiest of times. I’d also like to thank Elise for being a genuine “people person”, ever smiling and attentive, as she sold and distributed drinks throughout the evening. We all had a great time.

An old favourite of mine, a great, very large pub in Brighton has outdoor covered area and an old coach house look to the place quite close to the sea front well worth a visit.

A good pub where you can eat typical English cuisine and drink good beer. I tried their Fish and Chips, very good and it was fried well, not greasy. They have a wide choice of beers, not just English. Compliments!

An amazing pub , very large with balconies and beer garden. We'll worth a visit.

We went there on a school trip with my students to have cream tea. The service was exceptional and we'll come back for sure.

Lovely kings breakfast which was reasonably priced but every brown sauce bottle in the place was empty which is sacrilege!

Atmosphere was good with the football on. Food and service I can’t comment on as we were refused food, even before the cut off for ordering happened. When I asked to speak to the manager he came over, wouldn’t speak, and gestured with his hands for me to shut up and go away. That’s shocking customer service and with a party of 12 of us has ensured we won’t return.

I went with my class on the trip and the atmosphere was nice with the football match broadcast on a big screen, I think it's the best pub/bar in Brighton.

I recommend the halloumi and red pepper burger, was reasonably priced and tasted great!
