Food was dry. The sauces that were suppose to come with our starter were missing. When our main was brought out the empty plates from the starters weren't cleared.

Ordered a mix grill - very poor steak overcooked - certainly wasn't worth the money. Went with my partner, and she nearly finished her dinner before mine even arrived.

Perfect staff, especially with bar staff, got my pint in no time good staff as well all really polite

Went for dinner with the girlfriend. Staff were friendly attentive and efficient, food was serve quickly and to a high standard, complements to the chef. 😊 Sharing platter was amazing wide vairity of food and plenty for 2. Will definitely visit again. Extra credit to the bar man who was new but still friendly and efficient with the job at hand keep it up mate.

Visited after work for a couple of pints after a stressful day at work. Service from Faith, Christopher, Katie, Amy and Louise was fantastic. Can't comment on food however it did smell lovely

I went here with my parents just before Christmas and have to say I was disappointed. The food was overcooked and fatty, the staff were miserable with an attitude. One guy serving food in particular was very rude. Will certainly think again before going here. The place needs a clean up and revamp. Maybe employ some happy staff with a sense of humour. I understand people being off with covid doesn't help, but does that mean you have to be rude? This review is my opinion and I am allowed that. Maybe if you don't like negative reviews you should try harder to make the experience a friendly one. If someone is rude, am I supposed to bring that to their attention? Then i would end up with a situation.

Went to the Shamblehurst Barn for some drinks and we were tempted into ordering one of their good selection of burgers. The food came out very quick and was amazing. The staff were great and friendly and the whole night was less £20. Can’t go wrong with that. Definitely going to make it a regular thing, already looking forward to my next visit to try a different item from the menu.

Came in for a family lunch. The food was lovely I had the steak sizzler and it was cooked perfect. The staff were lovely to will definitely be back

We went here for Christmas dinner. Staff were friendly and accommodating. But unfortunately the food was really not good, Christmas dinner tasted like a microwave meal and was nearly cold. Didn't even stay for desert. However this is no judgement on staff as we appreciated their effort especially on Christmas day... but it'll be our first and last visit to the shamblehurst barn for Christmas. As previously stated I couldn't fault the service Amy was lovely and I fully appreciate staff giving up time with their families to work Christmas day. The atmosphere was also very warm, just sadly for the cost food wasn't up to standard. Merry Christmas

Came here for a drink on the way to the train station, staff were so welcoming and the drinks prices are hard to beat! Perfect local pub.

After booking my nans 80th birthday for 15 people on arrival we received a very warm welcome kieron (the landlord) personally introduced himself and welcomed us in the food was was cooked to perfection and everyone was happy Thank you for making a beautiful family memory we are all very great full and will definitely be coming back thanks again thanks love the cannon family Xxx

Came for the first time as part of our Christmas celebrations. We were served by the brilliant Amy, who was very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend.

A table was reserved for 8pm and we ordered drinks first. We went to the bar to order food and the person serving first said the kitchen had closed until I mentioned that we had already booked for a meal to be told this was the last that any food could be ordered. Once we had made our choice the availability was very poor, there was no salmon, Jacket potato or certain fries. When the meal arrived, macaroni cheese was ordered as a main yet a starter of this arrived so we then had to wait for the proper order. The drinks were also poor, there was no lime cordial, no coke zero and no guiness zero either. Once we had finished our meal and ordered another drink we realised that last orders had been called at 9.30pm and at 9.50pm we were asked to drink up and leave. Considering the time of the pub was listed as 11pm for closure and so soon to Christmas we feel that this is not very good. There were only 2 members of staff seen on duty who were not really very good at serving customers.

Need a visit from the weights and measures department. A pint of coke should nearly fill the glass rather than be an inch below the rim. They refused to top it up.

My husband and I booked for lunch, he had The Home run burger and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, and I had the crispy chicken sandwich and apple and berry crumble for dessert. The girls behind the bar were well presented, friendly and cheerful. We ordered our drinks and food together, it arrived in no time at all, it was plated nicely and the food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The chips and onion rings were hot and crispy, not greasy at all. The desserts were also piping hot, and totally scrumptious. Sheila was our server today, she so warm and welcoming, really friendly but also professional in her approach. A credit to the company. We can’t wait to return.

Not to bad food, app didn't work so had to wait to order at bar, chicken in 2 of the dishes was very rubbery , and tasted blanned but rest of food was OK Tried it again a yr later , wouldn't let us just walk in even though there was only one table in the whole restaurant eating , so we stood and booked on the app there and then only way we were allowed a table in the large empty restaurant, ordered food at bar again waited as no one serving yet place empty, food arrived one order was completely wrong , so had to wait for correct meal in mean time everyone else finished , admittedly was offered money back for wrong meal , Coffee machine not working so no hot drinks Girls were polite when they served us

Online says open at 11am called to check what time they serve food told 11am, turn up at 11:30 and staff member sends us away as not opening until 12!

Had dinner tonight 10/10/24 at the Shamblehurst Barn with my family. Food and service were excellent. Must give a special mention and thanks to Katie behind the bar. Although obviously rushed off her feet, mostly ran the bar singlehandedly, both serving drinks and taking food orders, always with a smile, getting it spot on every time. I really hope they value her, you dont find staff like this every day. Stan

After golf grub with friends had mini mix grill all good and a few beers nice friendly staff and nice beer garden area would come again

Overall it was very good value for money. The food menu is what you would expect but is quite varied and there is decent selection of drinks.

Went for Monday lunch, first no baguettes, then one wrong meal, rectified meal had 3 hairs in it, then dessert one came out with ice cream instead of custard, absolutely bad experience, chef needs to read his menu and the tickets properly as they come through

Ordered 2 pints and they had very filthy pint glasses with lipstick on one, about to pour into them and asked them to change the glass, the fact I even had to ask, to then be told the dishwasher isn't working so well and there was nothing they can do. I'm sure they have a sink with soap and a sponge 🧽

Don't bother. Hardly anything available on the menu. Just to clarify, no coffee, no milkshakes, no hot chocolate, no ginger beer, no macaroni cheese, no fish & chips, no pornstar martini, the worst pina colada, chicken burger literally a piece of chicken in a burger without sauce or salad. The steak was supposed to be medium but it was so overdone & chewy. Ordered by the app any said may items unavailable, not what you have implied.
