Costa Coffee in Eastleigh

Terrible service, when they brought us coffee the whole cup was sticky and spilled. When I asked to refill the coffee in another cup, the employee simply took it and poured it into another cup! The same thing happened with another drink that I ordered, when I asked to at least wipe the cup, the employee began to be indignant and shout at me, asking 'what else should I do?' Extremely bad service, but the food is good so next time I will come less often

Was initially happy. It's inside a Next but feels like a standalone Costa which was good. Staff at first seemed fine. But when my partner went up a second time to order a frappe she asked if it could be made with some cream rather than all milk. If it's not possible that's ok, but I would expect a pleasant decline. Instead just got a blunt and disinterested 'no I won't do that' even to adding a small bit in. Like I say, if there's a reason not to, that's fine. But be pleasant.

Service and coffee was fine but rudely told to move table by a member of staff as she want it clean that table

Lovely costa staff are really friendly very clean and tidy in comparison to other costas locally and opening time are really good too

Kathryn and Josh were really friendly and made great coffee! The cafe itself is sat on the top floor of a very well presented NEXT.

All over priced with sticky tables

Not a bad coffee, I like Costa but not the new cinnamon bun latte. Took ages to be served, too few people working there. Just a below average standard Costa compared to many other Costas in the area.

I came into the cafe last weekend with my 6 week old and had to breastfeed him. Still a very vulnerable thing for me in public but I was made to feel so comfortable. One of the baristas (with black hair) came over with a glass of water for me which made me feel so at ease and welcomed to feed my son. Thank you so much to that lovely lady, it made such a difference!

This was a motorway stop ence only one star for atmosphere. Expensive.

Long queues, busy, slow service and very weak decaf coffee even with double shots!

Visited at 6pm, really busy, but you know what to expect - decent coffee & plenty of seating space to do a bit of work. Had to queue for a while to order, but to be expected.

Visited here on a number of occasions. An improvement would be to offer more gluten and lactose free options as very limited snack wise. Otherwise, all good for a cuppa.

Jess is a star who works here, mostly the reason for giving 4 stars! Quite a good costa to be fair.

Needed a coffee so ordered my favourite caramel latte, barista didn't speak or interact with me. Then sat down ready to enjoy the coffee which was luke warm, weak and I couldn't even finish it (never leave coffee) didn't go back decided it wasn't worth it, needless to say won't be using again, disappointing!!!!

Had a good range of food and drinks, just took too long as only one person at the till.

There's always a massive queue for this Costa which can be off putting. I've ordered on the app before but you can't use a gift card on there so sometimes have to queue. When you get to order the staff are polite and friendly, especially the young lad in glasses

The queue is ridiculous, myself and my friends waited 40 minutes for drinks. Costa Coffee need to employ more staff to cope with the demand in that location. If you're looking to grab a coffee while shopping or have catch up with friends, this is not the place to do it.

Sadly, not the best Costa I've been in. Thankfully, the welcoming staff made it more tolerable, but the watered down drink kind of ruined the mood.

This is no longer a Costa - it's called Paddy and Scott's but still the same friendly staff members. Clean and warm, lots of syrups available and good prices. That works for me 😀

Took over 30 minutes to get served! No apology for the wait, and I watched 5 Deliveroo orders go and also watched the next store manager also walk straight to the front of the queue adding to the wait! Joke Costa, put YOUR customers first not Deliveroo or a store manager!

Getting a coffee was painful, couldn't eat due to the lack of gluten free options.

place is a joke we waited 35 minutes to get our drinks which were luke warm when we finally got them. my advice dont bother going here there is a starbucks across the rd which is alot quicker and better

Very busy, loads of messy tables so found it hard to get a seat. Good food and coffee when you get it.

This is a very nice Costa location within a NEXT shop with 2 glass walls allowing plenty of light inside. Food, drink, & service are always good here. It is almost impossible to get here on foot, so bring your car and shop in NEXT. Or you can visit the smaller Starbucks next door.

Costa is generally good. Predictable quality but not cheep. Sadly Google just says Costa and I don't know which one as I have been in a few recently.

Very slow service. Very busy. Queue was not moving having waited nearly 15 minutes. I walked out.

Just to be clear my scoring system: 1/ Don't go, just don't. 2/ I can't recommend going 3/ I enjoyed it but probably won't go back 4/ I enjoyed it, would go back especially if invited 5/ I enjoyed it, would invite others there myself Staff were very polite and working their socks off but once again completely overrun... Compared to other sites which seem just as busy they just don't seem to have their system quite right somehow. Or their staff ratio or something... 🤷‍♂️

Nice place , clean reasonable quick service , fir a lunch time great food served by very nice and helpful staff , that carried tray to our table as I walk with a stick , so offered without having been prompted.

Another Costa, another standard offering and all seems to work OK. Would rather staff werent slurping on their own drinks whilst working the till but perhaps that is an endorsement of sorts? Big up side is the opening hours which this a genuine possibility on way home late...

This coffee shop is located within Next. I prefer Costa to Starbucks personally so would visit here instead of the Starbucks next door. This coffee shop can get very busy. Usually clean and a has a good selection of coffee and cakes etc.

This Costa is inside a Next store and is always very busy. They did a revamp few weeks ago and now looks very nice and cosy. Most od the staff is nice and friendly and very helpful (not all of them). Great selection of coffees and also few vegan options. Unfortunately in 2022 Costa still charge extra money for dairy free milk!!!

Standard Costa Coffee format. This place is located within NEXT and overlooks the local Starbucks. Modern, clean and well stocked. Unlike many Costas, the staff were highly efficient in not only taking our order and taking the money, but also preparing the coffees. All completed with a friendly smile. Excellent.

Hotchoclote was cold didn't get offerd any extras or cream or marshmallows and woman was very rude just said 50p for marshmallows terrible service

Our drinks were fab. The seating very comfortable. The whole store is brilliant in which Costa is situated.

Slow service but good hot food one was a bit over cooked and burnt but the other four items were good. Great customer service who checked up on us due to one being over done but as time was against us he gobbled it down. So not that bad in the end!

The Hedge End branch used to be well run. Since Ash (the then assistant manager) left, it has gone downhill rapidly. 1 - Almost always understaffed - two people usually trying to fulfil in-store and Uber orders. 2 - Often a very long wait and coffee frequently tepid instead of hot. 3 - Poor selection of (overpriced) sandwiches. I gave up earlier this week when told to wait a moment by my server for no apparent reason. Fast forward three minutes and server was still staring blankly at the till - no reason given for the delay while a queue of seven or so people built up behind me. Walked out in disgust and went to Greggs. Better coffee, cheaper food, faster service.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Don't generally have to wait long in a queue which makes a big difference.

Quick service and good seating area. We didn’t like a drink and they happily remade us another drink free of charge.

Flavourless coffee and piping hot. Almost undrinkable

Staff seemed more concerned about making sure we did a track and trace than customer service, even after we explained that we are fully vaccinated and were in the process of doing it when being asked. Then they got our order wrong when it was 2 simple drinks. Instead of apologising, I was told, "ah you should of had the one we made for you it's much nicer". I explained that I don't like that drink, otherwise I would of ordered it. Hence why I ordered what I wanted. Next - The seating area was tired and had sticky places on the chairs and there was thick dust on the shelving next to where we sat. It was not busy and in my opinion this is just piss poor standards of cleanliness and customer service. Will not be coming back here again.

This Costa is inside Next on the 1st floor. Lots of seating but the queues can get very long as it seems a popular place to visit, having said that the queue goes down quite quickly. Staff were friendly and polite. Large car park behind Next.

Very good service, found nice seats quickly, ordered on the app and avoided the long queue and delays at the till. And the orders were brought over within 5 minutes or less! All round very good and all normal Covid procedures in place.

This place used to be very attentive to sanitizing. But the last 2 days, their dishwasher has been broken and NO sanitizing at all is happening. Maybe they think you can only get covid from drink in cups. Disappointed...

Only two members of staff working. Tables not cleaned or cleared between customers. Not sure how the powers that be think 2 people can serve customers and keep tables clean. Very poor!
