Great food, lovely staff. Family friendly.

Our favorite nearby coffee spot

We visited mid week and enjoyed our food, fish and chips and the burger did not disappoint. We also enjoyed the apple strudel which was delicious. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent, as we have always found at the Grumpy Mole pubs.

Under staffed, food took over an hour and was terrible, some of my friends food never arrived. TVs have a lag and the colour is off. And the waiter tried to start a fight with my friend. Avoid at all costs.

All the staff are absolutely lovely. Used to go in every weekend and they remembered my order. Unfortunately it is now closed, so we're losing on a great coffee place!

Went for some very overpriced drinks which nearly doubled in price as the night went on,manager asked us to leave as we were having a good time and maybe a little noisy but not causing any harm in fact the locals were getting involved which was great,food looked dated like the manager,smelt of damp and really run down,I’m glad we left as the pub round the corner was much better and had a great atmosphere!!

Quality of food does not reflect value for money. A £13 pizza was also significantly smaller than what you normal get at a pizza restaurant, it was as large as the size of my hand…However, with the happy hour, it made it a bit more acceptable.

They don’t accept cash so lost me as a customer

MOTHERS DISCRIMINATED I used to come here before the birth of my daughter and liked the food and outside seating area. However, recently I came first time with my baby and another mum and the waitresses were quite unfriendly, one hurrying me with breastfeeding so I could pay the bill even though there was still 40’ left to closing time. No pardon or politeness, very unwelcoming vibe towards mothers, you should be ashamed of yourselves. They also don’t have baby changing facilities - overall avoid if with children - such a lost business opportunity for mothers on leave and with the time to frequent such cafes.

Terrible food, horrible dark atmosphere - there was 2 members of staff - the younger one was ok the older one had an attitude kept on staring and whispering, not friendly, or welcoming and created a bad atmosphere. ordered eggs on toast , ( not much on the menu to choose from) Couldn’t eat the snotty eggs or the thick stale tough dry bread. Others couldn’t eat what they ordered, food definitely not up to standard. Did initially order scrambled eggs. Staff came back saying they only do scrambled eggs on weekends? Really? Lol- ( chef couldn’t be bothered) How long does it take to scramble eggs? Didn’t bother to complain to staff, would have been a waste of time, ( hence the honest review )and didn’t want to sample any other stale badly cooked food, so just left the uneaten nasty food, that should have spoken volumes. Party of 4 said they definitely wouldn’t return. Very disappointing. I should have listened to my instinct's, and left immediately, but at least we can warn others now.

Great service, great staff - my accident with hot coffee was dealt with speed and kindness, over and above. Thanks guys!

Decent tasting food but for the price, you really need to up the portion sizes!

A good place to visit. Warm and very comfortable, and a very welcoming licencee. I had drinks only, though. Hope you are reopening soon !!
