Lovely lunch. Sat in the bar. Food was great as were the team who were working. Brought in our dogs, they were made a fuss over. Will be back again

Service was good and the decor was also good. Personally, I didn't get any flavour out of the fish options, crab on sourdough bread was just covered in a bush of greenery, with absolutely no flavour and the sea bass fillets as the main was totally overpowered by the sauce. I would have a drink in the pub but I'd give the food a miss. Sorry.

Always greeted by friendly staff and always served amazing food!! The girls make our meals a fun and special experience, love to come here.

Food was high quality, as were wine/beer choices. Service was attentive but occasionally lacking which spoilt the overall experience. Specifically our roast dinners were lukewarm when they arrived, they forgot to bring us water and the macchiato coffee was just a white coffee in a tiny mug.

Had a lovely meal out for my sisters birthday at the George. We were very impressed with the quick and friendly service and the food hit just the spot too! Chefs also prepared special birthday plate for dessert without us asking which was a great touch, will be back :))

Had a wonderful evening celebrating a family birthday. Great food and lovely staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The staff dealt exceptionally well with a difficult allergy. Highly recommend.

Visited the George recently with my mates (as one is off to Australia!) and we all thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The atmosphere was palpable, the staff attentive, and the food delicious! Overall great time and would highly recommend. I’m sure my mate won’t find anywhere better down under

I came with my partner last Sunday. Sunday roast was my best dinner ever. I was so full up, I was craving for more. As a starter I had the King prawns. That was so delicious. My wife and I will definitely come back for more joy. Excellent service all friendly and helpful.

I can always rely on the george to have a good experience. The drink options are great, the food is always top tier, and the staff are extremely helpful. I cannot recommend enough.

My wife and I visited on the off chance for a bite to eat Monday evening. We were not disappointed. Both had 3 courses, the peppers starter, and bomb of chocolate were our favourites, can’t wait to return to try more.

This pub restaurant is up there with one of the best. Interiors stylish, good choice of wines, unbelievable roasts. Well worth of a visit.

So over priced for basic pub grub! Our burgers weren’t homemade would say frozen bought in even though want £16 for it! and pate or parfait which it is not it says on menu definitely not made by the restaurant/pub!! Won’t be returning expensive crap

We reserved one side of the pub to hold my birthday celebrations and ordered a selection of party food for 20 people. The selection of food was great and all the guests remarked on how good the spread was! We were especially pleased with the vegetarian options. Del and Beth looked after us all very well all evening. We really like the George in general but would recommend it as a venue for a special event too.

We went to celebrate with friends in the eve. The George laid on a buffet which was very tasty with plenty for vegetarians. As usual the atmosphere in the pub was very friendly.
