Had a really nice roast dinner today & was impressed with the whole set up. Good food, good Guinness, nice friendly staff. Back next Sunday 👌🏻

We had a lovely warm welcome today, my uncle is in a large electric wheelchair, chairs were moved and we had the choice of tables that were most suitable for him. The food was lovely and fresh. We were offered help if we needed it. Would highly recommend this lovely refurbished pub. Thank you for making us so welcome.

Had an enjoyable few beers on a Saturday afternoon here. First time visit but will go again. Some good beers on tap. Reasonable prices. Staff were attentive and has a lovely outdoor area that looks good for the summer. Food looked really good so will have to try next time. Only downside is entrance a bit awkward if you haven't been before. Defo worth a try

Visited here twice now and it's just gorgeous! Yesterday, we called in at midday on the off chance that they had a table for us to have an early Sunday lunch and the staff were accommodating and fitted us in. Food was gorgeous. Great portions and good price! Will visit again, for sure.

Fantastic value. I'm a big lad, and there was more on my plate than I could handle! Food tasted AMAZING, and the staff were really lovely, even when another customer doubletheir work, they were still friendly and professional, apologising for any hold ups we may have experienced. I thoroughly recommend the White Cross to EVERYONE, we will certainly be returning 😀

Visited this pub many years ago, was very dark and drab. This is my first visit since new owners have taken it over. They have spent a lot of money on it and it looks lovely, very welcoming. The meals are absolutely fulfilling, very nice choice. Will definitely be going back for another visit. Definitely deserves a 5* rating There is also nice areas outside to sit in the better weather, also outside patio heaters.

Fantastic place with superb food and service with a lovely welcoming feel from the managers and all staff. Would highly recommend a visit. The landlords Mark and Karen can do enough to make you feel welcome and comfortable.

Did not have food, but will definitely be going back and hopefully next time we will try the food. It is a lovely pub with new renovations and the outside area is amazing for the summer time

Absolutely loved our lunch. Nothing pretentious. Just great pub grub. The ham and cheese melt was delicious, with cheese and red onion on top, which was a nice touch, and one I will be stealing for my next sandwich at home! Service was quick, and friendly. A great place for a quick lunch!

Absolutely enchanted by my time at The White Cross . The Sunday roast was a gastronomic masterpiece, complemented by unparalleled service. The reasonably priced Guinness elevated the experience. Eagerly anticipating a return for more London charm!

Really nice food and staff. Portion sizes were big so good value for money. Naomi said they have good chicken nuggets. Evie said the staff were very kind and friendly.

Nice pub with outside garden but dogs not allowed in the nice bit of garden, which is such a shame.

Three of us sat down for steak night and had two 40oz Tomahawk steaks with 3x chips 3x side 3x sauce each. When the food was brought to the table we couldn't believe how well it was presented and also how much food there was! It was all cooked to perfection and the chef Orlando did an amazing job even going the extra mile to create his own sauces which really were delicious. We agreed it was probably one of the best steaks we’ve had! Thanks to Mark and Karen for doing an amazing job as always too. Highly recommend White Cross Inn.

Was recommended The White Cross and it didn’t disappoint. Sunday roast was absolutely delicious. Booked a large table in advance and the lady was very helpful throughout. Food and service spot on with the singer being an added bonus. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

Under new management and a group of 15 had Sunday roast. Portions were massive and delicious Nobody could fault anything with the food and almost every plate was emptied! Book early and you will not be disappointed

Just finished a meal of mixed meat roast, my wife had beef roast. Excellent meal, plenty on the plate, cooked to perfection. Certainly busy for a Sunday afternoon/evening but you can see why. Guvnor and staff very friendly and helpful. A good local pub with great food. Will definitely come back.

Forgot to add to my review my partner asked for a sausage for our dog & was told abruptly that we'd have to pay for it, we didnt expect it for free but £4.50 for one sausage was a liberty

Second time since new management Food was adequate. Landlady looks like she couldn't be bothered & no atmosphere. Sorry to say wont be returning

Absolutely love this pub. We were lucky enough to see the renovations from start to finish and have got to know the management team really well over the past few months. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and cater for everyone, super dog friendly. Amazing selection of draught beers and a fantastic menu including BBQ food. Plenty of tables inside the restaurant and undercover tables outside. Just perfect for all occasions!!😋

10 of us went for Sunday Lunch and I can honestly say it was the best Sunday lunch I have had out ever. All ten meals served promptly &piping hot . Absolutely would recommend it.

The first time visiting this pub since change of management and refurbishment. We visited for Sunday lunch that was plentiful with well cooked food and tender meats. All in all Impressed and will visit again during the week for there normal menu.

Since the pub has been taken over, it’s cosy with lovely decor, spacious outside area with canopy’s. We’ve eaten here three times, enjoyed all the meals we’ve had.Staff are lovely and friendly, would definitely recommend.

The pub has been refurbished and i think under new management! What a refreshing experience it has given it! I used to go this pub a lot, but stopped as it really just got stale and the staff seemed to not care anymore as well as the beers on tap were often off. Now, its refreshing, staff amazing, great food and great selection on tap! Great work!

Had meal in white cross very good new owners very welcoming the pub has been refurbished and is now looking good there could be more variety on the menu ie salad or chicken breast all in all the food served is very good would recommend lots of parking and dog friendly

Pub has been refurbished and is much improved. Good food, good service and retains the 'pub' atmosphere. Car park has changed so there is only one way in/out which can be tricky and they separate 'drink' and 'food' so we ended with 2 payments which seems silly. Perfectly good place for a nice good value lunch.

Sadly very disappointed with our visit. We ordered and paid for our food and a bit later a member of staff told us they had run out of our food choice and the other item we would have liked was also off the menu. The menu is quite limited so there was nothing else we wanted eat. This spoilt our family visit and I very much doubt we will return. I appreciate that the business has to make a profit but the prices on the drinks was also strangely applied as 1 round of drinks cost £10 more than another round of the same drinks. Overall disappointed and not impressed

Wow, what a transformation! We haven't visited the White Cross for about 10 years as we gave up on what used to be a good food pub. We'd recently heard it was under new ownership, so we thought we'd give it a try for lunch. We were blown away! The pub has undergone a complete refurbishment. The tired old chintzy dining space is gone, replaced by a welcoming, bright, refreshing dining area with comfortable seating and clean tables. This is matched by an equally amazing outdoor dining and drinking space complete with music stage and outdoor kitchen (not just a bbq) The drink selection is great, with standard beers as well as specialist beers such as Beavertown Gamma Ray (5.4%) and Cruzcampo. We chose to have fish & chips and the ploughman's, both were very nice and the portion sizes good. The fish was cooked perfectly with a nice light batter and ploughman's cheese was a tasty cheddar and brie. Service was good and barman helpful in choosing beers. It's great to see new owners turn what was a run-down pub into something beyond comparison, and you can tell they are proud of their business. Being close to five arches, it's visiting walkers and families will love this pub and it will be a roaring success. We'll definitely be back (but next time, I will not be driving 😀😀😀 🍺🍷🍔)

This pub has changed hands and what a difference the place has been re decorated to a high standard and the furniture inside and outside has been renewed.Had a Lovely lunch and was made to feel welcome. Wow ! Hands down one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve had in a while ! The pork belly was delicious & a very generous portion… I even asked for more gravy & was presented with a jug to myself !! Staff were extremely friendly & welcoming as it was my first time there, service was great waited around 10/15 minutes for my food Bar staff were so friendly & chatty they even offered a bowl of water for my dog 10/10 would highly recommend for a Sunday lunch or just a trip to a great pub with a friendly atmosphere :)

Went here today after a long walk through 5 arches sidcup great beer very goodfood and plenty of it only a few locals in well worth a visit will be definite going here again 100%

Popped in to the white cross today to meets friends didn’t have a table booked but the lovely bar staff sorted us out a table with no problem. Enjoyed our lunch so much we ordered dessert and coffees to wash it down. Bar staff came over to check everything was okay and informed us that they have live entertainment on Sundays so we have booked for this Sunday for lunch. If the food is anything like what we had today we will definitely enjoy! This will be our new regular lunch date pub.

Visited here today with two friends, weather was not great so we sat inside in the newly renovated lodge and what a lovely change the new owners have made to both inside and out. The food was lovely we will definitely be back for a Sunday lunch sometime soon. Two lovely ladies behind the bar, very helpful and attentive. If you are looking for somewhere for lunch or even a drink or two I definitely recommend this pub. Thankyou to all staff for your hospitality we will be back!

Without a doubt an incredible pub. The new owners are wonderful and have totally revamped the place, inside and out. The outside is especially amazing with the new covered area and BBQ. There is a great range of beers on, including some really well-kept ales. Such lovely staff who look after you whether it's a few beers or a sit down meal. We are very lucky to have such a great pub in the area.

Beef was incredibly tough on the roast we couldn’t eat it. They make up the prices of their drinks. For 3 drinks first round it was £16 then for the next with the same waitress it was £18 suddenly ordering all the same drinks. Wouldn’t return again.

i think its pretty clear that the reviews have been asked to be put on there by people. The food is not nice, the drinks are expensive. and they have stopped bringing dogs round the bar. will not be coming back.

Wow what a remarkable transformation!! I stepped into a breath of fresh air when walking into this pub. The new managers have got to be the most loveliest I have ever met behind a bar and so friendly and welcoming. The outside looks stunning and will be such a beautiful spot during the summer times, also dog and family friendly which is a bonus and had a singer for entertainment which was a big hit for myself and family. Very Friendly, great vibe, tasty food, perfect entertainment, will be our go to spot going forward. Thank you for a great evening!!!

Discovered this wonderful pub the other day, was only meant to pop in before going elsewhere but ended up staying till closing as we just loved the atmosphere and was made to feel so at home with the landlady and landlord, will defiantly be back!

We came for a family Sunday lunch for the first time and very much enjoyed our afternoon. The roast was fairly average, nothing at all wrong with it but would have benefitted from some seasoning as it was fairly bland. The pork was particularly good....

Went in to pub when first opened by new management and based on experience will never return to this pub. I would not recommend this pub if you are looking for a friendly service or even an experience whereby you are expecting to be treated with courtesy. I experienced this on the first day and went back assuming it could be teething problems but the negative treatment has occurred on four different occasions. 100% do not recommend spending your money or time in this pub.

This is a lovely little pub. I visited with my partner and my 7 year old granddaughter. Have been there once before the new management took over, which was nice and twice since the new management took over. We have enjoyed each visit so far. I am very impressed with the improvements being done. We can't wait to see it once it's completed. The staff are very friendly, polite, and efficient. Will definitely be going back as it's a great family pub where children and dogs are welcome. The food looks and smells nice. I will definitely be trying the food out very soon.

Starters were very average.. the melted Camembert would have benefited from some crackers or bread as accompaniment. The other starters were similarly disappointing One of our guests ordered the burger.. it came missing the bacon that was advertised...served on a wooden board.. I’m never sure...

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the newly refurbished garden of The White Cross Inn today. Was a pleasure to meet and chat with the new landlords Karen and Mark and hear about their plans. Had a great meal whilst there and will definitely be regulars now. Can’t wait to see the developments especially the entertainment on Sunday afternoons and the outside bar. Under New Management! The traffic was bad so I popped in, well it's all change. New owners have been in like 2x weeks, they have thankfully taken down all the old rubbish off the walls, play area & outside works are in progress, new menu in progress etc etc. I had two pints of Guinness, burger & chips, all very good. Best was seeing really experienced owners, who have other sites and obviously know what they are doing taking the pub on. It's always been a place full of potential, too early to say how far they can take it but at least it's no longer stuck in the past. I look forward to my next visit.

Visited today and had a lamb roast. The portion size was brilliant and the food was so tasty. We didn't have to wait long for our food after ordering. We had our dogs with us and they were very welcomed. Will definitely be visiting again.

Decided to give this place another try after having a bad experience a year ago, and wish we hadn't bothered. The food was awful, and the frying oil clearly needed changing. Really disappointed again, so wont bother again!
