Second Monday eating here .Chips cold on both occasions and not cooked properly. Strangely food was perfect on other days of the week.

Food is amazing here, very high standards, staff are lovely and helpful, drinks are quick and I always have a brilliant time

The second visit was worse than the first. Will not be coming back. Ordered via app. Drink left unattended at the end of the bar, near the coffee machines, for nearly 10 minutes. AND the warm chocolate fudge cake came out cold.

Great Wetherspoons. Most of the bar staff are friendly. Annie and Victor always serve with a smile. Food is what you would expect from a 'spoons, although my mate was absolutely devastated they ran out of baked beans one time.

We have tried every bar in Welling... the Nags Head, the Rose, the Guy Earl of Warwick, you name it we've tried it (yes, I like a drink - but it needs to be in a decent boozer!). Anyway, the others have their moments, but I always end up back at the Turnpike. You get your drinks (and food) fast. The staff are always lovely, the prices are outstanding, you can't beat it. We had friends visit from Slovenia recently and they are still raving about it!

Busy and not really enough staff. Hot drinks machines needed more attention than they were getting. All day brunch was nice, well cooked and cheap. Black pudding radically overcooked.

Fab pub great service and amazing food staff all working really hard and friendly, food hit and tasty and good value for money noticed they have also started a bingo night and a quiz night up which could be worth another visit

Visited again today. Manager was very friendly as were all the staff. Particular mention to Olivia for her efficiency and friendliness. A tribute to you. Good range of usual ales but also three guest bitters that were excellent. Staff were friendly and efficient. Curry Club Thursday was good

The food was very good. The service brought the food to the table and was nice. Prices are very good...!!! Unfortunately the toilet door was broken (not lockable!)

Unfortunately we visited with our Disabled son, we sat very close to the Disabled toilet, I really don't understand why the staff went out of their way to let able bodied people use the Disabled toilet who then left the door open so every single person used the toilet one after the other, none of which washed their hands and used the hand dryer, every time my son went to use the toilet some able bodied person was in there keeping him waiting which is very hard to see and even harder to not say anything but had I done so I would have been surrounded by probably 12 or more drunks who were all taking it in turns to use the Disabled toilet, I'm sure this happens every single day/night.

Fella was nice to my kids and clear on what to do. No changing shoes required!!

Everything is lovely it's just that the food takes quite long even when it's not busy in comparison to other wetherspoons I go to.

Very strange layout with lots of stairs. Choice of upstairs or downstairs seating. Large bar. Able to see cellar (located upstairs strangely) which I thought was interesting. Very nice staff and overall nice experience.

Visited today for lunches 11 in group family and friends we all wrote down meals afters and drinks a bit confusing but went to bar and our turn met jeannie showed her the large list she just smiled and said just read it out and I will put it on computer so carried on and she just smiled and carried on we paid said thanks for your help she then done all the drinks send said any problems come back and will sort for you within 10 ..15 minutes we all got our food including 2year old all good except I made a mistake and missed a meal out for granddaughter went to bar explained my mistake jeanniesaid pay for meal and drink and I will try get so you all eat together 6 minutes and she came with meal excellent we thanked her when we were leaving 3 hours later I asked how we can leave a review as all was great and she was exceptionally helpful she was busy and replied go on trip advisor so our review is this lady is a credi to your team what a busy lady she is 10/10 we don’t live here but must say staff and pub excellent we will be back godbless thank you Francis uden

A busy Wetherspoon's pub in Welling, Kent. Their prices are even lower than similar pubs in the same London borough, and far below those charged in central London. Update: another pleasant visit, for a steak and kidney pudding lunch for two. Including two pints of Leffe Blonde, it came to £19.70. Thank you, Sir Tim.

Standard spoons. Toilets are ridiculously far away, even for a spoons.

Get what you expect. Actually never disappointed and if I was every now and then I would expect it. One of the better ones

Well worth a visit, great prices and atmosphere, only parking is on the main street or back roads, disabled access from street level, as all weatherspoons disabled toilet ground floor and standard toilets on first floor with steps up and down, needed a map to find my seat from the toilets 🙂. Table service was good and fast. We went at 4pm and it was very busy, roof top seating area and an extra set of stair to another seating area even higher up, well worth a visit

Probably the worse steak I've ever had.. The chef needs to learn how to cook a rare steak...its nit the first time at this spoons. Go to Margate or Ramsgate, they'll show you how to cook it .Lovely front of house staff,it's a shame.

It's not a bad place but choice of ales in this Spoons hasn't been brilliant for ages now - you're better off in the Wrong Un or Furze Wren down the road in Bexleyheath.

Me and my husband came in early Saturday evening for some food and a drink.. It was packed we were lucky to get a table! We ordered through the app.. our drinks arrived very quickly… they were brought to us by a smiley member of staff with blue hair… it looked like she was run off her feet… she also brought out our food, which arrived very quickly and piping hot.. again with a smile and a enjoy your meal! It was so busy but the service was speedy and with a smile! To the young lady with the blue hair (I wish I had asked her name!!) Thank you

Surprisingly not quite as run down as you might expect from a down run area such as Welling.

A nice welcoming local plenty of space and choice on we're to sit over 3 levels with outside seating great choice of drinks and food. Facilities are clean and well maintained, staff friendly, and happy to help, any issues can be resolved and any special dietary requirements looked after by staff and chief.

The customer service is very good, polite, friendly and attentive to details. The food is good as well, it took around 15 to 20 minutes for the order to come. Great place to eat out. Highly recommended 👍

We were in here last night great pub. Also want to mention Victor he is a machine cleaned our table straight away sorted our drinks really quickly such a friendly guy nothing was too much trouble for him.

Main problem with the Turnpike is the staffing levels, they never get it right. Glasses piled high high waiting to be washed on the shelf were customers sit. One member of staff serving behind the bar one doing the app and food. Been in the other Wetherspoons in the area and they all put the Turnpike to shame. Customers taken for granted.

Large and multi level J D Wetherspoon's. Very good selection of real ales and the two I tried were in top condition. We were there on a Thursday or in "spoon speak" curry day so we all had curry for lunch. A couple of complaints about soggy onion bhajees but otherwise all of the party happy with their meals. A very satisfactory visit.

Excellent value for money food and a great range of beers, etc. My only downer are the customers that are unable to keep the conversations at a tolerable level and think the F-Word goes between every other word they utter. Very friendly staff tpp

Great place to come to with cheap drinks and food, came here with a friend was served by josh and Jake, class lads had a laugh and was served quick , give em a pay rise for holding down the pub on a busy Thursday, the rest of the team we class aswell🙌🏼

Bit of a stale atmosphere toilets a long teck typical weatherproons service was fast and polite.

Food is cooked and I base this on my last visit for breakfast (3/3/24). I usually buy the large English breakfast and change the 3 hash brown to 2 slices of black pudding. Never had an issue ordering this at the bar in Bexleyheath nor welling until today when the bar lady said I couldn’t do it. I assured that I’d done plenty of times but then I only received one slice of black pudding instead of two. Hopefully next time I’ll receive two slices like many times before.

Lovely pub, plenty of space. Always enjoy what the bup has to offer,The toilets are 3 sets of stairs not a good point, ant the person that went off with my friends bottle of raspberry vodka shame on you, that was her Christmas present.

Met up with friends for drinks. Took age's to get served at the bar, they need more bar staff rather than one or two when it's busy. Good atmosphere, everyone in there was friendly.

Arrived with friends and ordered drinks using the app. After 30 minutes were told there was no order even though we had order confirmation. Ordered again at the bar and after 45 minutes our original drinks arrived. Each order we made took 40-45 minutes to arrive so we ordered them when we received the previous order. No glasses collected so I had wine out of a brandy glass, beer glass and water tumbler. They had no wine glasses as they were not clearing tables, it looked a terrible state. When we ordered out meals, they arrived in a timely fashion but not the drinks that were ordered with them. There was no salt to put on our chips, I asked for them and they said that they should get them the following day. The service was totally unacceptable. The staff told us that there was no Manager present to complain to. We suggested they turned off the app to help to solve the problem so that customers could go to the bar but was advised they were unable to do that.

Finally, they did start putting beans into a separate bowl.

Fantastic pub food beer and staff are first class

If you like peace and quiet, then go in the morning as it gets quite lively and loud from late afternoon onwards, definitely not kid friendly. Good food, good choice of beers, and all at an unbeatable Wetherspoons price.

You get what you get from a weatherspoons but for the price you pay, it’s excellent value

I recently visited this bar and had a great experience.food and drinks were very good at affordable prices.the bar has 3 levels and 3 terraces one of which is a rooftop terrace. We sat on the first level at a very comfortable table.we will definitely return.

Terrible terrible waitress. NOT ONLY DID she got us the wrong order. She did NOT apologise rather made us wait for another 35 minutes. When we asked about our dessert she SHOUTED out saying, oh are you ready for your order NOW then made us wait little longer by this time we had been the pub for nearly two hours!!!!!! Finally we gave up and went to the till to cancel our order which was nothing fancy just American pancake !!!!!!! I couldn’t understand how it can take nearly a hour !!!!!!! The waitress had an awful body odour as well. NEVER EVER EVER go to this pub if you want to have a good time with family …. The waitress with the green top shouldn’t be in service industry.end of!! Disgusting service 2 people behind bar lied to me saying certain food is not in stock even was in stock as a rang and who I talked to on the phone said it is in stock but then when I turned up and asked to order behind bar 2 others lied to me and said it isn't so then asked manager and she said it is in stock.

Should be named Turnaround and carry on walking!!!! Just looking at the people sitting outside!!!! Not for me!!! Go down the road and you will find nicer pubs! Just saying!

This 'spoons benefitted from a refit after a major fire a few years ago. It is the better for it with a garden area out back and a roof terrace. As usual the beer selection is good and reasonably well kept. The staff are friendly and tend to all, but keep an eye on the regulars. Some newer staff seem to have issues listening or using the tills as on my last visit (4/10/23) several customers had problems with missing food items. Avoid the new Boa buns as they arrive rock hard and no one seems to know they should be steamed and soft. It has a proper local pub feel. A bit of a trek to the toilets, but the lift helps.

Dirty glasses piled up. Short staffed and too long to wait for a drink. Trays of drinks left on the bar that had been ordered via the app and not being taken to tables.

This place is a tardis. There are lots of different areas to sit. When we were here the weather had risen to 31 degrees. However, it was cool with the windows opened like balcony doors. The staff were polite and friendly. The dishes we ordered were chicken tikka masala and katsu curry. They were really nice. If you have time take a moment to check out the old photos on the way to the toilets. The toilets were also clean. All in all a great experience.

The most friendliest Wetherspoon iv been too. Staff so warm, smiley and helpful. Let me reserve a table on a busy Saturday afternoon. Staff were so busy as bar was packed so we had to wait slightly later for food and drinks but hot when it arrived and very tasty for the amazing price. Big shout out to male waiter he just didn't stop for a good few hours worked off his feet but still had a smile on his face. Will definitely visit again and recommend thank you

The most friendliest wetherspoons iv been too. So very helpful staff. Shout out to male waiter rushed off his feet all afternoon but still had a smile on his face. Been to a few franchises this was not the best Inside looked new. Refreshing. The beer garden was small Food was small portions compared to other pubs The price is more expensive than other franchises

We loved drinking on the terrace!

I was unexpectedly in Welling and found this pub in the famous chain of such. I ordered an all day breakfast and my order was taken efficiently. The meal arrived in a short space of time and was well cooked and tasted fine.
