I went in for sports and had food. The service was good and I will be going back in the near future. Alaina got to know our order very quickly and the rest of them was very good. Sports in here are always showing and has the ability to show more than one game at a time. Big thank you to tilly and team.

Had a great evening with friends, Alaina and Joe behind the bar and quick at dealing with the customer. Also they was fab at remembering our order as a large group. Been in a few things and all the team have been very welcoming. One our last visit I believe it was Abi was very helpful and speedy behind the bar. It’s refreshing to see some new faces and the food we had was lovely. The crowd pleaser was great to share between us and friends. Used the mixer apps and we earned points for what we spent which was a bonus.

Come here often as a regular, Joe the 7ft y'all guy is an absolute unit, he's wonderful and is amazing at pouring a vodka and coke and whiskey and coke, joe and Paul were absolutely amazing

Popped in for a quick drink for the first time in ages. Was greeted by a lovely young lady who was more than happy to help me. Tilly has recently taken over and in the small time she has been there she has made so much of a difference already. Cannot wait for more change to happen.

Used to be one of the best pubs around here. Died a death lately though. Would be better if they rang up Sky and sorted out their systems. They would attract more customers for live football on Sky+ on a Saturday afternoon at 3pm. They just need to upgrade their 3 Sky boxes (1 of which apparently hasn't worked for some time - why pay for it then? Seems a little daft). Decent food but the menu is out of touch with what people want. Prices a little above the value line for what you get, in my opinion. Bring back Dan, or put someone decent in charge.

Great beer selection, lovely food and a great atmosphere! Had a bad experience a while back and was told it was under new management so I decided to give it another try and I'm glad I did. Will definitely return!

We had chicken wings and nachos which were incredible, great setting for watching football and awesome, friendly welcoming staff. All round great place!

Avoid don’t recommend Called in Sunday to watch football. Was directed to a table. Ordered food and drinks. The Scottish football was on. We were waiting for the EPL. Bournemouth / Newcastle game. The member of the team who showed us to our table. Came over and switched channels so we could watch the game. Great. 1 minute to kick off another set of customers turned up and sat on table next to us. Not long after another team member (who turned out to be the duty manager) came over without speaking to us and turned the tv back over for the other table to watch the F1. We asked why and what was he doing. Said they want to watch the F1 and he was the manager and his decision was final. Plenty of other tv’s and we can move elsewhere… we explained that the other team member )who was spot on to be fair to him) had said we could sit there. Again a very arrogant response of “well he was wrong im the manager and what I say goes!” Wow ! Food wise- we ordered the stack type burgers. Very underwhelming and took an absolute age to come out. Another member of our group ordered some nachos and they took an absolute age to come out. Also noticed that another customer not with us ordered food got fed up with waiting and got a refund for it. Drinks expensive as well ! So wouldn’t recommend at all.

Alaina is the best ever!! We love her 😍 she was attentive and looked after us above and beyond. Best waitress we have come across in a while 😍

Had booked a brunch and can highly recommend . The food was lovely and the staff were very attentive and kept the drinks flowing. Really good value for the level of service , the quality of food and the amount of drinks and options you can have. Would def recommend and will go again !

My other half Booked on line through a advert on their web for 50% off all seemed ok got the confirmation of the booking and time . But when we got there the person behind the bar said first we could not book for the same day and that you can not book after 6 pm and said he had nothing for our booking despite us having a confirmation from there web page . So he would not honour the deal advertised on their webpage. Despite there being no one eating in there . As someone that works in the industry . This is bad must not need the business.

Re edited, was 5 stars as we have had great meals here but now changed to a 1 star review. Thursday afternoon came in for food and a coffee but they wouldn't serve us because we didn't have ID no wonder the place is dead empty walnuts over the road it is. Use to come here all the time but will not ever again.

Food was disgraceful. "Tomato mozzarella & basil" pizza was vile. Was not mozzarella, no basil and smelt like fermented parmesan. Sickly. "Posh Fish Goujon bap" was cheap nasty fish fingers and stale bun. Worse than bird's-eye. Staff were fairly unhelpful and miserable. Never attempt food here.

Came here for bottomless brunch for my birthday. Elena was super attentive, friendly and helpful. We had an amazing time and it was the best brunch menu for food and drink that I've had before 😊 Thank you

T old tomove tables by unpleasant staff they said these tables were reserved but nothing on tables till after we were sitting down .Been in here before an not spoke to nicely .we spend money an were not youngesters .

Third bad experience in this pub! First time we tried to move a chair over - not allowed! Sat at a table and TOLD (not very politely) to move as it is a staff table (no sign on table)! Told we would have to move at 3:30 as these tables were reserved (no notices on table) and there was only about 8-10 customers in the whole pub they could have sat anywhere! The fact that Sean found it funny (very arrogant) and called us 'dahlin'! Went to The Tailors Chalk and got such a great service from the FRIENDLY staff - I would suggest you visit there and would like to point out that we never been rudely shifted from our seats in there!

Terrible venue, I've been before and it's been alright but this experience has tarnished that. What could have been a very nice end to the night ended up being the worst ending possible. I had a regular try and fight me as I was leaving just because I existed I guess? This guy punched me in the face, and then proceeded to hit my gf in the back of the head, as well as another friend (a woman) in the face. Worst part is, we then had the angry bald manager (as well as other higher up staff members) shouting/screaming at us to leave when we've done nothing wrong, other than stand up for ourselves. We're waiting for a psychopath to leave the premises, and the police to arrive so we can in turn leave safely. They didn't like that. Basically the staff (especially the managers) are morally questionable people, who would rather protect their regular customers from trouble. Than protect their patrons from being hurt or injured by a raving lunatic. This is unsurprising though tbh, as it's the same regulars getting into fights there, and they for some reason keep allowing them to come back in. Basically the business has no integrity. Overall, I'd avoid spending money in this establishment.

Went too hill top tap for a bottomless brunch (evening) our waitress Alaina was amazing, she was very friendly, couldn't help us enough and she made sure she had done her job by the end of the night!! Thank you you're an angel, will definitely be back very soon!! Drinks and music were perfect.

Bottomless Brunch is SUCH good value for money! Super generous with the drinks and lovely food. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and in particular our server Abi - who was excellent, so welcoming and attentive - customer service at it's very best!

I came for a brunch with my sister and we ended up staying the whole night, the staff are so attentive and friendly I would definitely come back and I recommend to anyone who wants to have a great time with an amazing selection of drinks. Excellent food, albeit abit slow to come out, great atmosphere

RUDE staff- long waits to get served, when a friend had been queuing for about 15 minutes, he asked the lady if he was next to be served was met with appalling language and a torrent of abuse - including being told to F Off and called a C**T. Not what you'd expect customer service wise from Deputy Manager!! Tables were also full to brimming as no glasses were being collected and the whole place was a bit of a shambles-we certainly won't be returning.

I have been barred from this venue for over 5 years with no recompense or review. I dated a bar girl here and as so many do, things ended between us. On the night of said break up we had a heated and private conversation nowhere near the venue. And because of that conversation I’ve been barred since. With such a significant time period and both of us no doubt having well moved on I find it wholly unacceptable that management here still find it acceptable to refuse my service. The bizarre thing is many managers here have agreed collectively that my barring is a joke, that my business is good and I’m a pleasure to have. However, for whatever reason one bar member still finds it a pleasure and appropriate to withhold my barring, ironically the ex employees best friend at the time. If there was anything to suggest this was a business decision, other than a personal one I have yet to be told beyond “the safety of our clients is a priority”. To put it bluntly, what any of my ex partners do is their business and a company like stonegate should evaluate if their involvement is appropriate. I also find it highly inappropriate that even to this day my past is spoken about within the walls of the he Hill Top. It’s actually quite embarrassing that a one sided affair is circulated amongst staff. By ostracising me they’re neglecting the fact that my ex who worked for them probably doesn’t care either. It’s poor management, poor judgement and massively putting their nose into a private life after 6 years which is quite frankly pathetic and embarrassing. Word of advice to any regular, don’t annoy Amy as your name will be dirt for years to come as I am proof of that.

I have been barred from this location for over five years with no recompense or reevaluation. I dated a bar girl here and, as so many relationships do, unfortunately things ended between us. On the night of said break up we had a heated discussion outside of the vicinity by many miles however I have been barred ever since. With such a significant time period since this incident I feel it is inappropriate and quite frankly poor business management to continue a vendetta against a half of a slighted couple. Mainly by any who was her best friend and still a manager here that many years later. I also find it unnecessary that members of the senior management team have been noted discussing this historic event with patrons - much to my embarrassment.including a family member who is a newly employed member of staff who will no doubt be fed a story of lies to justify their actions I find it ridiculous that a personal involvement from, from what I can gather, a single staff member has drastically impacted my life and, considering the length of time since this issue, remains a reminder from this difficult time. I am disheartened, disgruntled and frankly disgusting that such a pathetic display of poor management has been allowed to continue for so long, with no regard to those involved.

Arranged to meet friend to watch the England match. Upon arrival we were told we weren’t allowed in as they were waiting on a large booking that was due. This was despite friends already being sat at a table with spare seats for the rest of us. Left and found another pub where our custom was more welcome. Won’t bother darkening this door again.

Pointless going here to watch football. The bar staff will do everything they can to turn your day. They mess about with the volume co standby but when the rugby is on, it's all go. They immediately turn music on at half time for football and then are late putting football back on for second half. Rugby goes on half an hour with full volume half an hour before game and stays on that channel and volume until half hour after game end. They put the beer prices up for football and then continue to mess people around. The y go out of their wat to annoy people who go in there to watch football on Sky which is advertised. Go to the Olde Black is my advice. The drinks are also cheaper and the food is better.

Popped in on my lunch break with a group of 4 mates to play some pool. My friends all ordered some beers, but I didn’t order one and just put money in the pool table as I was going back to work soon. Manager singles me out and storms over, demanding that I leave immediately if I don’t order a drink for myself - even though the rest of my group had just spent a pretty penny on drinks and the pool table. It was in the middle of a working day too so the place was empty! Not likely to return anytime soon.

Current staff very rude. I popped in around lunchtime the other week with a friend after a trip to the gym to have a quick drink and didn’t have my ID on me, however I didn’t think this would be an issue as I am 38 and don’t look under 25 and have drunk in the pub for 20 odd years. The barman asked for my ID which obviously surprised me and I explained politely that I didn’t have any on me but that I am actually 38. He then spoke to me extremely rudely saying “good for you!” and walked off. I assume if he did think I was under age (which is ridiculous) then he is obviously one of those that thinks it’s acceptable to speak to young people rudely. If he’d been polite and said really sorry if we’re not sure we have to say no then fine but he was just rude for no reason and that’s not a way to keep customers. He looked old enough to be the manager so it’s quite worrying if he is running the show. I do hope not. Can’t say I’ll be going back in there any time soon. Oh and I popped to the bar across the road afterwards and they served me with no issue :)

The staff here are so rude every time I come. I got yelled at for ordering a drink on the app because apparently the table 'doesn't exist'. What was the number on the table I was sat at then? How am I meant to know the table is closed on Fridays? Why were they delivering drinks to every single table around me? I was also here with work and just standing at the bar, when one of the workers comes out from behind the bar and yelled at us to 'MOVEEEE!!!!'??? Excuse me? They also have an extremely loud DJ on Fridays who played a remix of Amarillo. The lights are overboard too. Other than that the drinks and food are quite nice, and some of the staff are nice. Majority are very rude and grumpy.

It’s a decent pub and great for watching football. Clean enough can’t moan. But the staff serve you with complete and utter contempt every time. Like they are too aggravated by your presence to even look at you. Weird cos most of them have worked there for years , there must be no guidance from management. Not hard to say thanks or give a glimmer of a smile . If it weren’t for the tvs for football I would never give it my custom.

I came to watch the rugby tonight, i turned up hungry with friends whom-had already eaten. I went to pizza express and got a takeout. I was eating in the pub. My ignorance took over and i was rude to the staff member. Naturally i regret my behaviour and did apologise on many occasions. Unfortunately the manager would not accept my apology, i was escorted to a the exit doors. I was sober and selfish. I do understand, the staff work so bloody hard. Please accept my apologies thereafter. Tony

Had a great night with friends. We had the bottomless drinks package with dinner. It was such good value and we were well looked after. Especially by Alana our waitress. The atmosphere was great and karaoke was so much fun.

Just finished a bottomless brunch with a friend and it was such a great experience, definitely one of the best bottomless brunches I’ve been to. Amy was our server and she couldn’t have done more for us, she was super friendly and I’ve never had anyone more on it with drinks for a brunch, could not recommend more will definitely be back again!

Disagree with the below review regarding “women’s needs”. My friends and I were out got my hen do and were followed to this place by two men that wouldn’t leave us alone. When I told the lady behind the bar, they kept an eye on them at all times and handled the situation brilliantly. The drinks were great, staff super friendly and we are going back again today with my family and daughter. Highly recommended.

Visited the pub yesterday on my own, as needed a break from working from home, was lovely visit, made so welcome, bar staff Louise and Amy made me feel at ease as a lone woman. Will definitely go back!

The worst experience in a pub I’ve ever had. Would go to any pub in the area other than this. Absolutely awful. Customer service is through the floor, called me a prick.

The worst pub within a 5 mile radius. Awful customer service and a terrible acknowledgement for anything remotely human. Kicked my friends out for simply being on their period. Absolute lack of recognition for women’s needs.

Really nice pub, friendly staff. Had the Share platter a couple of times and a mix of the small plates, the food was really nice, and a high standard, better than most pubs I’ve been too. The staff are really helpful and friendly and we’re really accommodating. They’ve got a pool table and darts which is rare nowadays even for sports pubs. Good choice of sport on show with lots screens easily visible. Went to watch the 6 nations and had a great time, was worth getting the bus past my local.

Table booked for 6.30 for last Thursday evening specifically to have a family meal and we arrived on time, venue being around a quarter full. Shown to our table and bought 3 grossly over priced drinks to have while we decided on our menu choices and then went to the bar to order. We were then informed that there was a 90 minute wait for food. Off we went to Pizza Express next door instead. Apology-none Explanation-none Refund of drinks-none Chances of us, friends or acquaintances ever entering the place again-none

We booked a table at the Indian restaurant across the road but spent a few hours in here prior to our meal, there was a good buzz and vibe about the pub and was all very friendly, i stay nowhere near Sidcup but will steer anyone i meet towards this great boozer.

Me and my partner decided to go out for a meal and drinks at the hill top tap. The service was great very clean and tidy place with great and polite staff. Drinks didn't have to wait on and staff was very quick to take...

Very welcoming pub ,staff are amazing My son Stephen is blind and is always accompanied by his guide dog and me his mum.As soon as we walk in the pub within. A minute there is always a bowl of water for Wills the guide dog....

We had a spare evening, one of those nothing to do evenings, so we thought we'd visit the Hill Top Tap. Matt and Craig were great hosts, Craig advising on my G&T while Matt was able to tell us which drinks were low or non-alcohol....

The roast dinners where amazing would come again.
