The One Bell in Bexley

First time here but lived in Dartford over a decade, very pleased, nice atmosphere, had comfy seating, prices good, no trouble or hassle drunks. Toilets nice and clean, We had a nice few hours. We will go again have the pizza and few beers.

Probably the best pub in the borough. Lots of live music on Friday and Saturday. Great outdoors seating area, summer time always see's thw garden full of clientele. And the authentic pizzeria in the garden never fails to take orders. Give it a try!

Pizza in the garden is amazing, shame there is no GF option but maybe in the future. Great options on tap and in fridge and the prices are some of the best in town, only beaten by the social club to be honest. If I had to mark it down I’d say listening to Stevie Wonder and Motown legends while the football was on was as bad as it gets, and that’s not bad at all is it.

Great little pub, huge outdoor space. Atmosphere was amazing, also has a little pizza area outside.

Great pizza and lovely garden. Can come here for a leisurely drink knowing no trouble will kick off due to security making sure everything runs smoothly!

Lovely pub. Apart from one of the security he likes to get upclose and personal and starts to poke you when asked to do something.

First time attending here yesterday for a pizza and some sunshine! We arrived at the right time as it got very busy by 4pm. The pub garden is lovely and clean. The staff in the pub are also very friendly. The pizzeria is a great addition and not something you see very often. The food was lovely and ingredients were fresh. Only little issue I had was it was very oily and dripping all over my clothes haha but still ate all of it and definitely will be returning.

Been a few times with my girlfriend and everytime I've been here, the customers, bar staff and pizza staff have been friendly, attentive and polite towards us. If any reviewers had a bad experience there, I find it hard to believe TBF….The decor is spot on inside and out side, my girlfriend loves it… especially the Pele photo and video, reasonable drink prices and a very good selection…..you want ales go somewhere else I say. Atmospher is very good as everyone is friendly…..if you don't think so, you need to work on your social skills! All in all fantastic place to eat, drink and socislise.

SUCH a hit-an-miss place. Yes, they did brilliantly re-landscaping and refurbishing during lockdown but WOW what a disappointment when it comes to food. Pizza! Yeah - delish when it's actually available. Mostly never in our experience. And when it is, all you hear from the garden booth is the owner swearing in Italian at, I presume, his boyfriend.

We had an amazing evening… big vibes … music lots of friendly faces… We sat in the garden with lovely warm heaters. We had a gorgeous authentic Italian 🇮🇹 pizza Such a fabulous place to come 👌

Garden is amazing, especially when it's dry and warm. Inside is fine. Service is painfully slow and they don't have ANY cask ales on tap!!!

What can I say, please avoid this place if you want a friendly drink. I’m a 61 year old male and had an horrific drive on the M25 from work so popped in here at 6pm on a Friday afternoon. I have been drinking here for 45 years and always enjoyed a nice pint with nice company. I walked in and approached the bar only to be pulled back to the door by a doorman (bouncer) who asked me for ID..as I had just come from work I didn’t have anything with me so said I just popped in for a pint, he said that without ID I was not allowed in… so I left and had a nice pint in the Dukes head next door. Not friendly, not local and not nice… avoid please!

Great pub with a real family fill. There's a small pizza hut in the garden which brings freshly made pizza to your table.

Cold pizzas delivered in a Lidl bag (quite in line with the quality of the cheap and scarce pizza toppings…). Not worth the money :(

Try the pizzas out the back . Absolutely delicious ,bar staff are friendly and the manager is fantastic with the customer's Live singer most weekends and all the football on the TV. Reasonable prices for the area

Decent pizza, all the right ingredients for a capricciosa, base well cooked and not soggy, delivered on time and still reasonably hot when it got here. No complaints, will definitely use them again.

Good base and proper pizza but the meat had way too much salt in it that it drowned everything it's probably like having preservatives into the heart veins! The garlic bread had lots of salt too so can't really taste garlic. But again the bread was well made

Nice gem in Crayford. Was pleasantly surprised. Driven past this place a few times and decided to pop in last night. Nice friendly welcome from the bar staff. She was smiley and friendly which is always nice. Ordered a pizza from the shed, it was good. literally came out of the oven and on the table piping hot and full of flavours, nicely done. The pub is well looked after and felt cosy with the nice cottage look and the exposed wooden beams, then outside in the garden a well maintain and modern seating area. nice place for drinks and pizza. Will be back for sure.

Came here with the family to celebrate what would have been my Dad's 65th birthday. It is a really lovely place and the pizzas are lovely, which are made right there & then.

Nice pub, great garden. After months of knowing pizzas were available we finally gave them a try. After nearly an hour's wait I went down and asked what the wait time was. "15-20 minutes," came the reply from the booth with the pizza oven. "Well," I ventured, "we've been waiting nearly an hour..." This prompted a cacophony of Latin ridicule and disbelief. I walked away myself in disbelief. Some 20 minutes later my wife went downstairs herself to see if she could get her pizza or our money back. "Sorry for the delay - backlog of orders," she was told. I wouldn't have minded being told that when I went down myself. But they were so aggressive and rude when I did. Don't think we'll ever eat there again.

Pizza and garlic sauce were tasty and good, only the pizza stuck a but to the box, imaybe will be better use something under the pizza.

Had a really delicious pizza with my friend today. The ingredients were fresh and so tasty and as an Italian I can honestly say I felt like I was back home. Walter was so friendly I will definitely be visiting again and bringing my father who is missing a taste of home 😊

Lovely traditional pub (be aware that it is cash only). The beautiful garden provides a superb view over Bexley and is a nice suntrap. Prices pretty good, too.

This pub is quite quaint with a built in pizza stall/shed. We came on a really sunny bank holiday, expecting it to be busy (which it was). Drinks were quite basic but the pizza we would recommend. Price was, was fair and fresh food. Can’t be a pizza whilst drinking. Wasn’t sure about the service as upon entry with my partner, I was asked for ID (quite rightly so) but she said that anyone else under the age of 25 will not be allowed in. Left me stunned as I thought it was challenge under 25. Perhaps this information can be certified at the door.

The blonde manager of the pub is a cancer to the pub. As a group of young adults we have been going to the one bell for over 3 years it has always been a great pub. We have always been respectful and carry ourselves well, putting through thousands of pounds each time we are there as a group - never ever had issue. Recently the new manager (blonde lady) joined and has ruined what that pub is. We are always greeted with ‘if you get to drunk you’re out, if you are too loud you’re out’, she is rude and argumentative, continues being a shadow that looks for a problem without a reason. A horrible, miserable woman who doesn’t understand how to run a business. She has no manners and doesn’t understand what the business needs. She follows ladies to the toilet to be a freak to look for issues, unfortunately can never find any. You feel like you’re constantly being watched without a reason. I would completely understand if we caused arguments or issues within the pub, however we have never ever had any issue previously. Please know that she has lost you 30 REGULAR customers who put thousands of pounds through those tills - the best thing you could do is to fire her before you lose every single person going there!

This pub had been recommended to me as a good venue and dog friendly. My review is unclear because my husband and I were turned away by security at about 9pm on a Saturday night. We'd driven over planning to have one drink and a look for a future family visit but we were refused entry by a security guard who said the pub was too busy to allow the dog (cockerpoo) in - he said we could have a drink on the benches out the front which we didn't fancy.

Great Pizzas, perfect for a nice lunch out and a few pints, great garden area too. There is a good choice of beers and the service is friendly. Inside is a normal English pub but it has a great undercover outdoors area with screens and the Garden is surprisingly large and well maintained.

Came here with friends before Christmas for a few beers. The pub was quite empty which was surprising. We sat outside in the enclosed garden which was nice and cosy. We had a few beers and nice evening, beer was reasonably priced too

The pizza is good but disappointed as my margherita had no basil even though it is stated in the ingredients.

I popped in the pub for a couple of beers as you do And was asked for 🆔? After supplying 🆔 They also asked me to stand still while they took a photo of everyone who goes in the pub. I'm in my 50's and when the doorman asked me for 🆔 I thought he was joking. I only wanted a couple of beers. Very off putting... Will not go there again..

This pizza is outstanding much better then the big pizza chains. I would recommend to any pizza lover . I definitely will be using again and again 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Was left in the pouring rain as we had a 20 year okd with us, there was a 24,27 and 29 year old accompanying her and the one bell has previously allowed this. Would of appreciated the empty pub to atleast allow us to book our cabs inside

Ive been coming here for years , today I’ve came here with a few of my travelling friends with a gypsy surname. We have been turned away & have eye witnessed then saying no because of this reason. Absolutely awful and racist. Would never ever recommend this pub. They tried to blame it on age. But I come here most weekends & have now been turned away. disgusting.

I had to put a star rating however it doesn't even reach a one star.. we made a deposit for a small party which was not made clear that the deposit would not come of the final bill which is the normal code of practice. The service was awful and table dirty.. With the deposit being kept then I would expect a service.. plus we where put on the path way to the toilet. I would not recommend it there.

Only came here for a couple of drinks... One word... Impressive! Would love this as my local! Security on the door is top notch, won't be getting any riff raff there that's for sure! Lovely outdoor drinking/smoking area with great atmosphere and lots of heating! Will be coming back to taste the food next time!

Delicious vegan pizza but lacking substance. It was a thin pizza with a fluff crust. I was still hungry after eating the entire thing. I folded the pizza in 2 halves to get a proper slice… I’m iffy about a repurchase because even the topping was scanty. Perhaps it’s gourmet food and I’m not used to such things or I’m greedy.

What a lovely modern pub with exceptional outdoor seating area. Spotlessly clean. Only one bitter on draft so not a pub for ale aficionados. No dedicated parking but easy parking in the vicinity.

Excellent Neapolitan Pizza out back in the garden, lovely pub, bigger than it appears from outside. The owners have clearly invested alot of money sprucing the place up and the result is very welcoming, modern and friendly. Lucky to have it, support your locals!

Had a fantastic evening with my husband sitting on terrace, great atmosphere and live singer. However the star of the show was the oven fired pizzas! Absolutely delicious, best we’ve had outside Italy!! Well done to the two lads who are serving them we will be back !
