Visiting Norwich and needed to stock up a bit, so this was the closest store to us. Did shopping and wanted to use the toilets before leaving, like you do. All toilets near the cafe were closed! Luckily there was a disabled toilet on the next floor down, but very surprised this was the situation, especially on a busy Saturday. The queues to the single disabled toilet were very long too.

Absolute waste of time, website says open at midday but was not open on Thursday or Friday, the least they do is change the the web to let people know not to waste time arriving.

This was our 3rd visit this year and unfortunately the time taken to get your food to the table has got worse not better. We had a table booked for Sunday lunch and after eventually getting to order it took nearly 2 hrs to have the food brought to the table. We asked twice what the delay was and got told they had a table of 18 and they had ordered all at the same time shock The food is always very good when we visit but the wait is totally unacceptable

The food was very average. They told us there was only one table left so we had to reserve and commit early. When we got there and the whole time we were there the restaurant was not even 50% occupied! I had the “Award winning “ Beef and Ruddles pie. There was no beef in the pie !! Just a few slithers of something that looked liked mince meat. When I complained I was given 10% off the food. This turned out to be a very expensive pastry, chips and peas dinner. When the bill came they over charged for the wine, when this was pointed out to them they said there was a misprint on the price stated in the menu. They agreed to alter the bill to match the price in the menu. However it was disappointing that they felt they could over charge without telling me.

It’s not the awful food that bothered me because you dont expect quality at a Wetherspoons. An open kitchen can be a blessing and a curse and in this case it was the latter. I’m sure the two “kitchen staff” members are lovely blokes but the fact that the entire dining room had to sit through their obnoxious and high volume discussions is what bothered me. There was a family to my right with two young children but this didn’t stop the kitchen’s loud discussions including language that may not exactly have been an exert from a Jim Davidson show but did include multiple colourful word choices. It’s a shame because we all expect the food to be a bit (to use the kitchens words) “S**t”, but we accept that for the price. But the lack of thought for diners who are just a stone throw away does (again in their words) “take the p**s” !

A fantastic venue with a continental/Italian feel in its decor. They were able to accommodate a table of 8 with no notice and proceeded to present us with a perfectly cooked meal and wonderful courteous and professional service. There is an outside sheltered seating area heated by gas patio heaters......Great food , reasonably priced with a lovely atmosphere.

A great local pub with excellent customer service, locally sourced food, a chef with a passion to create great dishes and front of house staff that make the customer experience seamless. A simple seasonal menu with well cooked dishes and a relaxed atmosphere.

Always look forward to stopping by here. Meg and Amber are the loveliest ladies who know how to make a good coffee.

What a lovely suprise. Popped in for a drink as not been in here for about 15 years. Soon as I walked in I was greeted by the charming landlady. After I got my drink we had a lovely chat about all sorts. Also met the landlord a very interesting gentlemen that has as well as his wife been running the pub for over 20 years. The cherry tree has the feeling of a real pub a proper community village pub unlike a lot of the modern pubs these days. I will definitely go back and hopefully try the Sunday roast. It made my day.

We stayed one night in our camper-van in the car park at the Great Danes country Inn at Beachamwell (a small pretty village near Swaffham) as a stop-over on the way to the Norfolk Broads. Roger made us very welcome and although the restaurant was closed they served take-out food. We were expecting cardboard cartons etc. but Roger came out with a tray, china and cutlery promptly at the time we requested. The food was very good - piping hot and generous portions and great value at around £20 for two servings. Definitely recommend.
