The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in East of England

Very poor service from the senior server, but the younger girl was very nice, think the senior server needs to go to charm school.

We were well aware that it could be a lively pub but wow on Friday the noise was unbelievable, I’m not actually complaining I did expect some noise but as the building is so old there is no getting away from it so just be aware it was noisy till 00:45am then no issue, Friday it was quiet after midnight so a welcome surprise! The room was clean and bed comfortable and staff were pleasant. I’ve scored 3 in essence it’s a 3.5 but I’ve gone down as for some reason our en-suite wasn’t. Room 5 we had a separate bathroom which was a surprise and to have to get dressed to go for a pee at 2am is a bit meh. TBH I would not have booked it had I known but I’ve taken my mark down because of it.

Poor. We arrived at the start of the day with few other customers. I had the full English which looked picture perfect. However, it was largely cold, especially the beans which I didn't eat. The sourdough toast was so thin it tastes and looked like a flatter Ryvita wafer. I would not recommend this as a destination for breakfast and won't be returning.

BEWARE! This is a *nightclub* / bar with some minimally converted rooms above. Thundering music turns on at 11PM and continues all night. It comes in from the walls. It comes in from the floor. Sleep is possible only for the heavily intoxicated or the deaf. At half past midnight I booked a room at another hotel and fled. B&B stands not for "bed & breakfast" but rather "Buyer Beware!" (PS the chaps behind the bar who give you the room key were incredibly pleasant and helpful)

Wow! What a disappointment- a soulless dull empty establishment that costs the earth for very little. Ordered 3 drinks - 2 x vodka & lemonade & 1 gin & lemonade. (singles). Rang up @ £19! Realised they had done a double gin and questioned it but didn't get very far... Totally empty despite being a weekend.

Visited The Cherry Tree with 3 friends on Tuesday. we each had our vans/motorhomes with us, so phoned ahead. Such a friendly and welcoming pub. Julie and Roger are great hosts - Julie also cooked us fabulous food. Dog friendly too! We will visit again. Thank you Julie and Roger!

Don’t have scrambled egg on toast. It’s awful, from a packet, an unusual colour for eggs I thought. Waitrose should know better. The staff gave me an alternative, not their fault. It’s the Management!!

If you love coffee and muffins, this is the place to go! Excellent coffee, prompt and friendly service - highly recommended 👌

The surface was very good the coffee was good and the staff member named Rosie was very happy and helpful and made sure we was all good

Saffron Walden Waitrose is truly amazing, the customer service was impeccable and the workers were so polite dealing with my needs perfectly.

Cafe is shabby unwelcoming, waiting time in the queue 20 mins staff run off their feet and not organised, managers hiding in the rest room oblivious of what is going on, the snacks are a mess thrown everywhere having to rummage through for a biscuit, biscuits in the jar broken, cakes looking past sell by date. On the plus side the coffee was good but not worth the wait. Never to return or recommend.

The service was exceptional nothing was too much trouble. The cafe was spotless and didnt have the obligitory empty coffee cups and plates on tables which you tend to get in starbucks. Coffee was excellent. Surroundings pleasant. Manager, think he's called tony, even asked how things were. My go to place now.

Been here a few times and each time has been fantastic. Good quality sandwiches, friendly staff and a wide selection of food. They offer everything from sandwiches to jacket potatoes and full cooked breakfasts. I always get a simple ham and salad sandwich and it’s always been nice. I recommend coming here if you’re looking to catch up with friends and family, looking for a quick and easy lunch or just want some place to chill and eat.
