They had no hot food or sandwiches at all, would be shocked if even there taps were working, middle of the day and absolutely nothing on offer, not as I remember it, very disappointed.

The best mozzarella baguette I've ever tasted. Fresh. tasty and very filling. Along with a cappuccino at just £5.50 it was great value. The staff were excellent, worked well as a team and deserve recognition. Highly recommended.

I pop into here from time to time and although it would not be a destination of choice, the coffee is always good, the staff are friendly and the food is nice.

Whilst on my holiday and undertaking the usual tourist activities in Suffolk- I have been looking for the ‘healthier’ breakfast options badly and have finally found a good selection here.. I ve had the coconut & grain porridge - it was delicious. Espresso maybe not the best but still better to what I have managed to find so far in the area. Some more different ‘healthier’ breakfast options are on the menu as well. I think I might be shopping more in Waitrose from now on as I have never been convinced about this store before due to so much of plastic packaging that this store uses. I think I will give it another go considering that I can stop here to have a nice and ‘healthier’ breakfast here as well.

Arrived here late afternoon and did not expect there to be much hot food left but no all items on the menu were still available. Service was friendly but the wait time a little long considering the place was almost empty. Food was of good quality at a reasonable price I have been to this cafe at earlier in the day but it always crowded and almost impossible to get a table. If you want to use this cafe the best advice is to eat late

Basic but comfortable eatery. Nice place to stop for a hot drink and to gather your thoughts. Newspapers, recipe cards to mull over. Unhurried, with helpful, polite staff.

Went in for coffee and cake during the afternoon. Cafe was clean and tidy and we were served by a friendly young girl. The coffee and cake were nice. We also decided to get our breakfast the next morning here instead of the hotel. Picked the large cooked breakfast with coffee and fresh juice. It was served up piping hot and the bacon and sausage very tasty.

Very disappointed with avacado and bacon on toast. Previously very good but this time tasteless. No chilli in avacado, back bacon instead of (Brundish) streaky, only minimal amount of avacado. Service poor (one person only serving). If a service is offered I expect it to be of a standard associated with Waitrose normal level of service.

We are often this way on a sunday afternoon so call into the cafe for a snack and a coffee/tea - but despite it being more than an hour before the shop closed the cafe had already closed. they also often run out of anything to eat. they also close down the serve yourself coffee machine - not like other waitroses in Suffolk which I find much more customer focussed

Service is usually good, staff are friendly and helpful. Shift management is poor, sometimes only one person serving and dealing with the till at very busy times which must also be a food hygiene issue. I usually have a coffee and a pastry and these are generally delicious, especially the coffee. However today I decided to have lunch there. I chose fish cake with chips and salad. I didn't finish my meal. The fish cake was dry, tough and tasteless, the chips were under cooked and flabby and the whole was served on a cold plate. Also, tables not cleared on time, whole area looks scruffy and tired. Come on Waitrose you have a reputation to uphold. I won't be having lunch there again. Christine Harte.

Nice little cafe just behind checkouts, nice choice of cakes etc. Not expensive worth a visit or for a rest after your shopping is done.

The slowest service ever, no one seems interested, could do so much better, surprised at Waitrose.Tables dirty and uncleared, staff grumpy , younger ones nicer but always overworked.I notice similar comments on trip advisor going back a long time, but nothing has changed. Why have one person serving, ludicrous.Few cakes available many afternoons.Today a lady asked a member of staff to clean table, her attitude was abysmal.

I wandered into the Waitrose supermarket one evening looking for a sandwich and discovered they have a small pleasant cafe at the back of the store. Even though they were about to close they happily made me a salad of fresh greens, feta cheese and quinoa, with a lemon dressing. It was delicious.

They always seem to be in 'a pickle' despite the efforts of some staff who are very efficient - we think its due to poor support from management. Tables often need clearing and cleaning!

Went for coffee and cake at the end of shopping on a Saturday afternoon. Although one girl was working her socks off, the staff were disorganised, the wait was too long, and the tables piled high with uncleared crockery. One girl wandered around somewhat aimlessly then disappeared. The coffee and food were OK (so just about meriting the second star) although not many cakes were left. One toilet was of service and the other was filthy. I agree that Ipswich is better. Pull your socks up, Waitrose!

First of all the good news.... I experienced great service from a member of the Waitrose staff whilst shopping. She kindly, cheerfully and patiently took me to the two items I wanted: soft dried apricots and sultanas. ( She raved about orange river and I must agree.) Coffee and reading the newspaper free afterwards is always a delight. The bad news! The toilets! So often the seats are in dis-repair or not fixed properly or the flush mechanism needs sorting. Again and again. If the fridges can be seen to when they break down, so surely can the toilets. Maybe as a Which subscriber I should alert surveys to this end. It takes the shine off a pleasant experience in the Cafe and is such a shame.

It's pleasant enough, I've visited a few times to meet friends. There is nothing wrong with it but do yourself a favour and venture into Saxmundham ! There's other cafes where the food and coffee are better, homemade and cheaper!

The Latte's in Saxmundham WAITROSE are not as good as IPSWICH and that is because of :-1. The glasses 2.. The coffee tastes bitter in SAXMUNDHAM 3. In Ipswich it is smooth and absolutely delicious.

There is not really that much to say, cafe and decor are pleasant but long queues to order food, service slow, everything very mucky and dirty, floor unswept, tables not cleared and dirty. Food very overpriced for what you get and coffee undrinkable.

My husband and I had just done a food shop in the store when he noticed the café within the store. It was just what we needed a sit down and some food. As we finished our shop, we were able to park our trolley in a marked up area and go and order our refreshments. The sectioned off café, was light, airy and had plenty of staff to take orders, assist you to your tables and take away when you had finished. The food was well cooked, well served and generous. My pot of tea was just right and gave me 3-4 good cups of tea and I mean real tea too!! Been a long while since I have had a pot of tea with loose leaves and so was refreshing and the teapot was easy to handle too. Prices were reasonable too.Even though I am disabled, there is plenty of space for wheelchair users too. Definitely recommend it to friends as we were visitors to the area.

What do you expect? It's Waitrose standard. 'Nuff said. Crowded in holiday times and in that case go elsewhere. But if the queue isn't long it is well worth waiting.

Had a mocha and lasagne, both very yummy but the mocha was extremely small for the price I paid and the lasagne was supposed to come with a salad, all I found were some leaves and a tomato! Waitrose seriously need to re think what is in their salad.I pay less elsewhere and still get, leaves, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions, cress and coleslaw

We visited this cafe twice whilst on holiday. On the first occasion the cafe appeared to be under siege! VERY LONG queue at counter with only one assistant serving. Many of the tables had dirty crockery stacked on them and no-one appeared to be clearing up. You had to clear a space for yourself! Our second visit a week later was better but still a shortage of staff led to queues (shorter) and still tables uncleared.NOT the image we have of a Waitrose venue.Disappointed.The drinks and food on both visits were fine.

Had a quiche one lunch time which was fine. Nothing special. My friend had a cappuccino and it was almost black in colour! Grumpy woman clearing tables too. Hate it when she flicked the crumbs off the table on the floor and with a dirty cloth! Gross! If your that grumpy you should stay in the kitchen too. Ive not even been back since to get a free coffee like i used too because the whole cafe now just makes me cringe.

Love this cafe for its newspapers, useful recipe cards ; so you can mull over them, while you decide what to cook - great marketing idea. I don't like to see the cakes and cookies displayed uncovered, a definite no no as there isn't a sneeze bar. When the cafe is busy, I noticed other customers refuse to move, so, hints from the serving staff should be decreatly used ;-) I would like to see more hot lunches served or brunches. What no food rating hygeine ?? How many out of 5 not on full view! Should be. FYI don't forget to ask for your free newspapers at the check-out; as they have changed the policies on that. Please support your local high street stores as well, they depend on you, and the're not that expensive. Also, the local butcher - the meat is better than the supermarkets.

waitrose cafe.... can't fault the food I've Had so far so the staff in the kitchen have no worries on that score and the ones that deliver to the tables are very friendly and helpful.... maybe it would do waitrose well to swap the staff a little as the ladies that have been on the front counter the last 3 times I've visited seem to be getting worse!! They are vergiNg on rude but this seems to come from the fact they always seem to be so stressed out and that each customer is a hindrance lots of puffing and panting.... they always seem to be running out of milk or drink that they then have to run off into the store to get... then quite shockingly I went in with my mother the last week and they had a new piece on their posh menu board above the counter titled summer specials... drinks and food geared for the summer... my mother ordered 2 ice coffees and was huffed at and told we can only do one... it was a twtra Pak off the shelf of the store full of mass cubes hmmm..... then she asked for hot chocolate got huffed at again and the woman stormed off without a second word into the store before returning with something else they had ran out of.... waitrose seriously needs to sort their front of house cafe staff else I know a few more people who won't be returning and its a shame as the food and kitchen staff are good

Poor. We arrived at the start of the day with few other customers. I had the full English which looked picture perfect. However, it was largely cold, especially the beans which I didn't eat. The sourdough toast was so thin it tastes and looked like a flatter Ryvita wafer. I would not recommend this as a destination for breakfast and won't be returning.

We Love walberswick Lovely pub Lovely staff Excellent breakfast Lovely rooms No GF lagers We Stayed for my hubby 65 birthday for 3 nights ..we had a great time . I am coeliac and the evening menu was a little limited .. but the pub always do their best to adapt but to offer cheese and crackers with no GF crackers is a little silly I think .. Also I have asked and cannot be the first to ask for GF lager to be available and still there is no lager for coeliacs . Why serve GF foods if you cannot have a GF lager ?.. it’s understandable it’s not available through Adam’s but surely it can be purchased elsewhere ?? It easily available ? There is nothing more frustrating to find the most beautiful pub and area and the manager cannot offer such a simple drink for their customers . I do not like GF ales so please have a GF lager on offer so I can soon return !!! There must be other customers with health issues asking the same questions?? Hope to see you all again soon Dawn

Discover a fantastic gardening center that caters to all your gardening needs! While it might be slightly pricier than some online retailers, there's nothing quite like the experience of browsing in person—feeling the textures and inhaling the delightful scents of the products. I always enjoy my visits, especially exploring the wide selection of pet toys and unique finds. I may have indulged in a few too many bird feeders! Although I haven't tried the restaurant yet, it’s always bustling with customers, so I assume it must be excellent.

Anniversary treat, night away. Started in the spa for the afternoon, nice treatments, jacuzzi and sauna. Chill out room big log burner and a mulled wine. Checked in hotel to find out we've been upgraded, very nice room in the courtyard. Evening meal in the restaurant was superb one of the best if not the best meal of 2024. Only small criticism, add more Christmas decorations make it more seasonal. Would definitely stay again..
