Costa Coffee in Suffolk Coastal

I come here quite often but a lot of the time they seem to shut early due to unforeseen circumstances, other than that staff are super friendly

Good coffee I just find it a bit expensive

Places for quick snacks are limited and this Costa coffee is ideal..It's clean and cheerful and opposite Waitrose car park Food is the standard for costa but its served with a friendly smile..

Poor, weak coffee. Ordered a hazelnut latte, made in a few seconds, which caused me some concern, the froth on top was watery, as was the coffee. Very weak and not worth the money. Staff from friendly but appeared to rush orders to get more time to chat with one another.

It's Costa. The food is mostly prepackaged and heated as required. The coffee and other drinks look good but I have tea, sadly they don't offer decaffeinated tea but they do offer different types of milk. I enjoy the location and going with a friend. The seating is nicely spaced out and we can talk without being overheard. It is a pleasant experience.

It was open and served hot drinks on a cold day - not much more i can say!

Good service, clean, standard Costa's, decent coffee.

The acoustics here are so bad that you can hardly hear yourself think, even when it's almost empty.

Expensive tea and sandwich. Sandwich wasn't all that.

Excellent little convenient coffee shop. Friendly staff and amazing drinks. Even better when it is your birthday and you get a free slice of cake 🍰. 😁

I paid almost £5 for 4 sips of a hot choc from the festive drink range. My nephew had a baby chino and once I ate the cream I tested the amount by putting it in his cup and it was less than that. Hot choc was good but not worth the price at all. Should have asked for it to be remade but this shouldn’t be what is given to customers in the first place

Very boring atmosphere, coffee was ready 10 minutes before my food.

Had a quick snack before heading out on a road trip. Had two teas, a couple of cinnamon rolls and a cheese toastie. Very roomy layout, and close by to the town. Staff were super helpful and friendly.

Always great service. Prices are extortionate but the staff can't help that 🤷‍♂️

The only thing missing which I have enjoyed in other Costa branches is the provision of newspapers.

Called in for a coffee and a snack. It's rare to meet such friendly, enthusiatic staff - absolutely delightful. The food and coffee were delicious. It's visiting here just for the service!

Called in today for a coffee and snack today. Both members of staff were so delightful that I have gone out of my way to leave a review. If only everyone was as cheerful and helpful as these 2 lovely people.

I drank quite a few lattes here and used their wifi heavily. I wish it was open until later.

Great drinks and toasted sandwiches, clean toilets, and right beside the bus stop.

Food was very good apart from one member of staff came by at the back of machine where I was sitting by the window and picked her nose (after I had eaten). Didn't even think to use a tissue in a catering business and washed her hands afterwards. Very off putting especially been pushed out of the way to queue to order food and drink by another customer. Being pregnant with a disability, there was no display sign to queue and was knocked out of the way so the customer could purchase her coffee with a small group of other people. Worst Costa branch my partner and I have ever been to.

Cakes, sandwiches etc are so expensive, otherwise it's fine

Costa is always a bit pricey in my opinion but the food and drinks are nice and the staff are friendly and the place clean and tidy.

Great hot chocolate! I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't tell you if it's any good, but the cake was lovely and moist and the hot chocolate was great.

It's Costa, it's everywhere and it sells coffee.

The flies all over the cakes are disgusting. There are plenty of other places with appropriate covers over food to have coffee, so I don’t come in anymore. When it’s hot there’s so many of them in the display, you’d think they’re having a party. They’ve danced on almost every piece of cake whilst you wait in the queue! Enough to put anyone off their food 🤢

Recently broke down outside costa Saxmundham. And was greated asked if we needed any help by member of staff I believe her name was kirsty. Amazing and friendly staff and coffee was great too. Will definitely return for a coffee under less stressful circumstances lol. Thank you kirsty and your team

Lovely place for coffee food .it's a shame that thwere only only 2 staff on and they had no ice for cold drinks.We offered to go get them some but was told they weren't allowed to let someone go get them some.surley they should have ice machine with the amount of cold drinks they now make.feel for the staff having to take flack for it they are a great team.

Chris & Ellie are absolute professionals! Such great service and friendly staff who take pride in their jobs and are a credit to Costa! I only went in for ice, as I had brought a coffee at the previous Costa and they had run out of ice - this branch had also run out of ice and still water, so I was stuck with a very hot black Americano…. Until the lovely Chris and Ellie very kindly exchanged that for a gorgeous black iced cooler!! Thanks guys!

Kind staff here, always polite & patient when ordering 😊 The gentleman with the long dark hair & pony tail is excellent. 🌟 Always clean inside.

Coffee is good but not quite what I asked for and there was quite a bit off foam for a latte. But the thing that got me the most was the way an employee handled another customer I thought it was disgraceful.

Friendly staff, but not great service. Have to re-queue and ask for trays, napkins and things after receiving goods. It’s quiet annoying.

Having the same staff making online orders while serving customers in the queue makes waiting in line really tedious especially when the iced drinks take 3/4 mins each to make.

I'm writing this review because recently, TWICE, the staff here have gone above and beyond to make my visit worthwhile. I rate this as a really friendly place to grab a drink or snack. Best place in town! Thank you Sax Costa staff! You're the best!! :-)

My boyfriend and I are regular customers here and usually get great service. However this time it was awful!! I ordered a decaf vanilla latte and my boyfriend ordered a an iced cappuccino. Firstly we waited about 15 minutes to get our order taken. Then waited around 25 mins for our drinks. None of the staff seemed to know whose order was whose and didn't know how to make any of the drinks. We ended up getting a cold coffee (not iced) and more of a cold Americano with the whole drink spilling out of the lid. I then received my drink which was a caffeinated latte and no vanilla! Why advertise drinks if you can't make them and at least communicate with your customers!!

Bit slow but good service clean a d tidy

Now that we no longer have to pay for alternative milks it's much better, could do better on the vegan area, I find it hard to have anything to eat there as most of food has dairy, but great coffees.

Maybe I arrived at a bad time 2 people before me waited 15 mins to get my 2 drinks. Arrived at 1120 on 4 Dec terrible service

The service is incredibly slow. I mean really really really slow. Totally unnecessary. Two 'baristas' to make each drink while tales go uncleared and unclean. Neither of these baristas were trainees. Just gossiping and not concentrating while long queues build up. They were not just slow today. They are slow every time I go there. I've been dropping into various Costs for years but the service at this, my local outlet, is awful.

We go into costa saxmundon nearly everyday but for the last 2 months it's become a joke in there.you queue for 20 minutes whilst staff stand and chat in office.today we finally had enough and walked out it was empty when we went in no staff around but we guessed they were chatting in office or on there mobil phones which is the usuall thing .finally we left leaving a queue of people still waiting.god knows how that costa makes a profit.

Very slow service today, almost 15 mins waited for drink, had toasted sandwich too, which was almost eaten before drinks were ready. Was told they would bring drinks over and didn't. Also walking in, the place absolutely smelt of eggs/drains. Also was going to have a cake, but a fly was having an adventure over cakes.

OMG !!!!! Went for coffee and toast,which when it's was done was great ,but such slow service 😕

The coffee was fine, the same as any other Costa coffee, but the service was ridiculously slow, it took around 15 mins if not more to make 2 lattes!

Great to get back. After lockdown and travel restrictions, it was good to get back to Saxmundham Costas by train, for toast and coffee. The staff were as lively as ever and totally “in” to making the place safe from the plague. So enthusiastic. OK, so we took our own peanut butter as usual but so good to sit in there again!! Great efforts guys.

Visit a lot of costas locally to me and when out and about , popped in when visiting nearby Tesco’s and staying in area for weekend. One door in (back)and one out (front) but not being observed as if parked in carpark have to do a long walk back round to car so people just going out entrance? Barista had masks on Hand gel available Was going to have a cake with coffee but observed a few flies on cakes so didn’t fancy, picked wrapped cake with my flat white which was as good

My partner and I called for coffee, sat outside, seemed acceptable but whilst drinking our drinks we watched people come and go with no tables being either quickly cleared (staff observed inside chatting and laughing) or sanitised - totally unacceptable no wonder a second wave is coming with such ignorance in the staff

I always love my visits to Costa. The coffee is great, my favourites are Flat White and Cappuccino. My daughter loves her mini hot chocolates too. The staff are always friendly and very welcoming.

Visited this store a couple of days ago. I was last in a queue of just three people to be served and had to wait at least five minutes to place my order for a Flat White TA. It then took so long to get my drink, I sat down and read the paper. From ordering, I waited around 10 minutes to get my drink. When I sat reading the paper, I couldn't help but notice that the majority of empty table were still dirty with finished drinks, plates and food waste

My Son lives in the UK so we meet there when I visit.. They know him well and what he drinks so they were determined to remember my order when I went in.. Customer service is fantastic very personal.. I hadnit been for a year and they remembered what I had..

Always busy, but have time to be friendly. Good choice of food as shelves fully stocked

The Coffee is excellent.. To start with I kept changing my order as there were ciffee's I hadn't tried before.. But they simply love knowing exactly what/how you like it and that is how it comes.. I was only there for six weeks originally but got sick and ended up there for 12 weeks.. They remembered me in fact saud have you been home and come back..!! Dont think they realised I live in Australia..!!

Friendly, helpfull staff. Quick service. Open early from 7am. Close to the bus stop and supermarkets. I loved my spuced Cappuccino and xmas mince pie, delish x

By choice I prefer to support independent local businesses but everywhere has a time and a place, so Costa worked with a fair wait for my train to Ipswich. Staff very good and friendly. Espresso and croissant up to snuff and not a bad price as I think there may have been an early morning offer.

Liked the coffee and staff. Very welcoming and professional. The girl at the counter offered choices and explained the product info.
