Superb Garden Centre, try it for yourselves. There is an added place you can grab a hot drink. So very friendly, but be advised, they take card payment, preferably...for obvious security reasons.

Very quiet even at midday sadly there seemed no staff either, its not dog friendly! odd for Norfolk? So the lady wife went in, & as she came out soaked they were using the watering mist & was full on! We went to see native geraniums nothing worth while & no one to ask! we left wont be back.

No dogs so the owner went in alone, note: she is an (english) geranium addict! So we try lots of nurseries! It was Mid day & It was the shortest visit ever! spraying mist everywhere! the wife was saturated & only saw 3 Dodgy examples having seen better days! No one there staff! OR customers! Not going back!

Quiet today due to hot weather but a very good range of well kept bedding plants. Prices were reasonable and we managed to find a couple of plants we have been looking for. Plenty of parking and I belive there is a tearoom too.

We went the other day for a bite to eat and to buy some plants. Sadly the cafe had shut because of family ill-health - I thought that was a perfectly reasonable explanation. The garden centre itself is beautifully well stocked with great value plants. For example, the fuchsias were £11 and strong and healthy, unlike ones in that Potter Heigham shop (£9 and a quarter of the size). Some plants appear expensive but they are strong, mature, specimen plants that will make a statement in your garden. I thought the plants were well priced, the choice was huge and the staff were friendly and helpful when apprached. A gem of a place. Edit to say: went back today to spend lots more money on beautiful plants! Still 5*

What a shame, we called today to look around the nursery, have a coffee and a piece of cake to find out the cafe and shop were closed, we were disappointed. We walked around the garden centre without our little dog who had to remain in the car as he wasn't allowed in the garden centre. We noted that they only accept card payments. Prices are on the high side but the centre is well stocked. We looked through the window at the stock in the little shop (which was closed) there seemed to be some interesting items. We will return at a later date when we're next on holiday, lets hope its a little more welcoming.

Great variety of plants but we were the only people there - thought it was shut when we arrived. Went to have a coffee but the coffee shop was shut - maybe that’s why the place was empty. You have to have a coffee shop at a Garden Centre - why was it shut. Can’t comment on staff as didn’t see any. This place won’t last long without customers.

None of the plants look healthy here. The prices seem to be about another third on top of what you'd expect in any other garden centre. They are selling used plant pots for an extortionate price (£14 for a 20cm crummy old plastic growing pot, nothing decorative). We were looking for terracotta pots but the range is very poor. In the end we went to b&q instead.

I understand the current epidemic, but to have a sign up only allowing 2 people in your store from same family and in big capital letter NO children is disgusting! What are we supposed to do with them... leave them in a hot car or with grandparents to which neither can do or willing to do! I dont understand is that how is this ok to discriminate children... you couldn't do this with with colour or age or ethnic so how is it ok to do this to children!

We always enjoyed our food and the company at Broadlands Nursery cafe but not any more. No decent food, extortionate prices for food that would appear it has been bought from cash and carry at a fraction of the price . The dining area has been partitioned off with fake plants making what’s left a dark , dingy and unwelcoming area. Seems all done on the cheap but prices very high which to my mind is greedy. I will give it maybe 6 months then it will close altogether but maybe this is what the selfish greedy owners want. However, now I have vented, I Will definitely not be going back there or to the garden centre .

Not a lot of choice and the tables are plastic covered but having said that our three salads for approx £15 were well presented and tasty- didn't think that is expensive as some have said. The cakes and scones looked delicious but we opted for a Mr Whippy ice cream. Staff were pleasant and chatty enough. This is not a luxurious place but good price and more than adequate.

Been here several times now, though i have enjoyed what i had for meals menu average and same all the time but not the staffs fault they have to do what they are told, shame because staff very talkative and friendly when you get to know them, shame not more variety in menu would go more if had more choice and place could do with a revamp which would attract more customers. They have a disabled entrance which is locked and if you want to use have to go over to nursery to get key, staff not allowed to have key from what i was told, this is not good business choice.

No dog are allowed in other than guide dogs, annoying because 100 yards down the road there's a lovely restaurant that welcomes dog, considering they are serving food that great, but a garden centre dot allowing dogs doesn't have my rating....not leaving my dog in a hot car.

Minus any stars for customer care. We called in last week to ask about feeding tropical plants. We were ready to invest substantially in Palm trees etc. Whilst my husband asked at the office I wandered into the gift shop with a tiny dog under my arm. Immediately a very rude woman who smelt strongly of cooking fat shouted that no dogs were allowed. I explained I was just looking at the chinaware and the dog was under my arm. More arrogant smirking and defiant commentary, including we provide food! Unfortunately as the door was peeled back, I missed the no dogs allowed sign. Point to owner, you just lost a huge ££££ sale. You need to rethink your out of date policy regarding dogs. Your garden centre is very unfriendly and unhelpful. It's not against hygiene standards to bring a dog into a restaurant or a gift shop! Your staff need to go on hospitality courses! You need to visit other garden centres to understand why I gave -1star!

Staff friendly and chatty. Also mention that it's the first place i have been to that supply a container to put used teabags etc in,think this good idea for all such places because often moaned because have to use tissue so no mess on table.

We stopped here with elderly parents on the way home from Yarmouth, and although we've had a caravan in this area for many years we had never been here before. We were so glad we did! My parents (very fussy eaters!!), Opted for the pasties which were homemade and absolutely delicious! The pastry just melted in your mouth, these were better than the VERY expensive pasties we'd had in Cornwall several years ago! Myself and my husband had sandwiches which were freshly prepared and served with a lovely side salad. We also tried the scones which were also homemade and gorgeous!! In fact all the pastry items and cakes are homemade which is so rare these days. The staff were also lovely, jovial and welcoming and the toilets spotless! We will definitely return!

Having recently moved to Norfolk we often liked to have breakfast at castle carvery, at weekends, but disappointingly they were closed, winter season I guess. We passed broadlands nurseries and see a board outside advertising breakfasts so thought we would give it a go. Well we now wish they were closed too £22 for two breakfasts and two coffees, a bit steep we thought, but then nurseries always are. Well when we got our cooked breakfasts clearly everything bar the fried eggs had been dropped into the deep fat fryer, it looked like something you would expect from a truckers cafe, in fact the interior probably resembled a truckers cafe. If you want a quality breakfast at the weekends I recommend castle carvery in caister it's all you can eat, not deep fried, and very reasonably priced too.

Broadland Nurseries is primarily a garden centre, but my husband and I had driven by on a few occasions and noticed there was a cafe which looked out towards the road. It looked quite nice from the outside, and the position for the Broads is stunning. It is at a spot on the A149 where there are Broads on both sides of the road and the road almost forms a bridge between them. So with Broads and trees and out of the way, we thought it would be lovely. We decided to visit one morning and were severely disappointed. We were expecting quaint tea room with nice cakes and pleasant surroundings. The inside was sort of half way between a truckers cafe and a field kitchen. It looked greatly unloved on the inside and the two members of staff, although not rude or anything looked almost disappointed to see us walk in. Choice of hot drinks was either filter coffee or tea you could stand your spoon in. There is no atmosphere and clearly they had done a lot of breakfasts that morning because when the kitchen door open the cafe filled with kitchen smoke. It was like a fog across the cafe. When we left our clothes stunk of fried food and fat. We were polite and stayed for one drink. We had intended for lunch, but moved on to Wroxham Barns for lunch. If you're looking for a nice place to stop and gather your thoughts in this location. Move on 1/2 a mile to the Waterside at Rollesby. The cafe at Broadlands Nurseries is really not a pleasant place to to stop.

We found this fantastic pub whilst staying at a nearby caravan park, and I'm so glad we did. The setting is wonderful beside the broads. Shame it was chucking it down whilst we were there. The service was impeccable. Staff were all very accommodating. The food was amazing. Large portions, so beware. We had no room for pudding. I had the chicken Caesar salad, amazing. My father plumped for the pie and he said he'd never seen such an array of veggies on his plate. Other dishes sampled included the scampi, and my son had a burger from the children's menu, said it was the best he'd ever eaten. Thoroughly recommend giving the Bell a try, you won't regret it.

From the moment we walked into this restaurant we were greeted by very friendly helpful staff. Karolina, Sam & Jennie, thank you for providing us with first class service! The restaurant was well presented and there was a great choice on the menu. Our food arrived promptly, presented well and was delicious. The staff were attentive throughout. We even returned the following day for breakfast which was also well cooked and delicious. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

I was staying in the area and had lunch here four times. The experience in terms of service and food was variable. With regards to service, there is an older waitress who needs more training and does not know the menu very well. She seemed very unsure of herself and had trouble recording our order, having to repeat ourselves several times. Answers to our reasonably basic questions about the menu were "I think so..." and that did not fill us with much confidence. The younger waitresses were very good, attentive and friendly - so something must be going well in terms of staff training. We were also given warm tap water with no ice on a hot, summer day. This was partly due to the high price of drinks - £3.10 for canned drinks and £5.75+ for a milkshake. The surf and turf burger was really good - I would recommend this, as the crayfish, pawns and burger were lovely with the sauce. This was consistently good. The gammon, egg, chips and peas was also yummy and good value. The meat was well-cooked, as were the chips. The haddock was really nice on one occasion, with light and crispy batter. But on another occasion the batter was hard and overcooked, accompanied by cold chips and peas.
