Newmarket Secret Kitchen in Forest Heath

My friend and I ate at NSK recently and to be fair the food was good, however, our bill was a bit of a shock. One breakfast, one sausage bap and four coffees was just shy of £25. NSK is located in Freshfields which borders with Icewell Hill it`s basically placed on a Council Estate but charges "Pantry" prices. Yes, a business cannot survive on fresh air alone, however, the service & ambiance was not of a high enough standard too warrant being fleeced. I think NSK need to look at their pricing or in six months time they wont need to. Would we return as customers? Yes, if the pricing was competitive.

Very poor service, echoed by another customer nearby. Had to ask for everything, cutlery, salt and pepper, sugar - 3 requests instead of being asked what we would like and all items bought together. Extremely expensive for the food served. Would be perfect for a small child. Would not recommend.

This little restaurant was an absolute delight. Excellent selection of home produced and cooked food and cakes to die for! The staff were so friendly and truly deserve high praise. Thank you for making our little group feel so welcome and good luck for the future .

What a gem of a place this is tucked away in Newmarket. Jo and Liz could not be friendlier and the food is first class. Fresh local ingredients cooked to perfection for lunch. Plenty of choice to suit all tastes and the scrummiest home made scones and cakes all freshly baked on the premises. Coffee is excellent too! Definitely a place to visit if you're in town and looking for the perfect breakfast/lunch/afternoon tea. All reasonably priced. Easy in or take away Plenty of room for free parking outside. Highly recommended!
