An amazing time! An amazing experience! The staff was friendly and helpful. The local patrons were welcoming and very accepting of conversation. Food portions were filling and enough to leave you happy! Alcohol selection is more than enough! An overall GREAT TIME! 10 stars if possible. You have to go!

We were looking for a lovely place to eat whilst we were on holiday here, the kings head did not disappoint! Lovely village pub with even better food. Easy to book, lovely variety of food. Could not fault it at all. Big portions and great value for money. Beef brisket is beautiful 🤩

Food was rather nice, and the pub looks very inviting from rhe outside. Unfortunately the I side was not so good the smell of stale beer, and sticky table tops. We did not feel very welcome when we walked in, we were just stared at. Felt like a scene from the league of gentlemen. Any how I shall not return. There also seems to be a pattern where the owners can not take on any criticism and are very defensive. I assume the pub has its locals and that's the way they like it.

A really lovely roast dinner ! We came here looking for a local roast and this came up and we thought we’d try as we saw some good pics on Facebook. The food was lovely, the Yorkshire puddings especially were amazing. We were all pleasantly surprised as the pub itself could do with a lick of paint but this is prime example of don’t judge a book by its cover. The roast was a solid one, although It was only one meat on offer which was beef but actually it was fine as we all love beef. The veg was frozen I think but all round it was a good plate of food and we will deffo be back. A bonus they do takeaway so if you ever want to grab a roast and go home to eat it this is deffo a good option if your local. we’ll be back despite other reviews of service and barmaids not being friendly they definitely are nice and welcoming. A good community pub and they showed the football !

What a great pub food is outstanding chief knows his stuff that for sure, had the all smoked platter was so good gemma and bar staff on top form in all a very enjoyable evening ,,,,

The All Smoke platter was off the chain, it’s bbq on another level, succulent and juicy and delicious, if you want outstanding food and value for money the kings head is the place to go.

Food + drink are quite overpriced, especially sodas. the management of Gemma & Will need to be more professional / worked on. As the way the other staff are spoken to / treated isn’t okay. Very short tempered

Me, my wife and little girl stopped here randomly a couple of weeks ago. The food was very good and the service was great. A nice friendly gem of a pub. Worth a visit for lunch or dinner!

Such a welcoming pub and always a friendly hello . From start to finish it was yummy, whether you have the ribs, burger or roast, my favourite is the apple crumble and custard. Portions are plentiful, fresh and hot. A good selection of home made food. Will definitely go again even if it’s just for the crumble

LOVE the chicken sandwich and the brisket burger - its november 2023 and the seasonal menu is also fire. Im excited to eat here more and try more off the menu. Wait staff is friendly and peppy

We was in the area and wanted to stop for something to eat, this pub was great for food, we loved the menu choices and quick service, but the atmosphere and seating felt a little awkward if you’re not local, we didn’t have many seats to choose from and ended up sitting near the bar as we got turned away from the eating area as this was for reservation only but was empty the whole time we was there

Definately recommend this pub. Went for family birthday meal, really enjoyed the roast pork dinner. Loved the Yorkshire puddings! Service was great, friendly and very accommodating, chef brought out the birthday cake!

Nice little place, the staff are friendly and we had a good chat with the chef about his food and travels. Had a “local, all American” pub feel to it which we liked - there are no frills here, the food is hearty, freshly prepared and will leave you feeling satisfied. We enjoyed our meal and if we were local, we’d go often!

Booked a table of 18 and was absolutely blown away with the kindness and hospitality from the staff, we was there for my mums birthday meal and honestly couldn’t have asked for better! Food was absolutely unreal and such great staff. We had the most amazing time and will definitely be going back

Amazing hidden gem. Beautifully cooked food. The best burger I’ve ever tried! Great portions, large beer garden and a great host. It’s no frills but the quality of food couldn’t be better! Authentic American menu, a vast choice to eat, at least 10 burgers to choose from, home made skin on skinny fries. Large portions. A real hidden gem.

OMG what meal! Had the lasagna and could not believe it was not on my bucket list. Great company! Very accommodating. WOW!!

Nice looking pub , but not open much. When I did visit the staff and the owner were not very welcoming. I ran a hospitality business for many years and I would definitely not treat customers like the way I was treated on my 4 visits.

Fish and chips were awesome! Outside tables were nice and staff were very friendly.

Came here a couple of times whilst holidaying in the area. Welcoming staff and the food is brilliant! The hotdogs especially are just something else! Slightly spicy sausage, melt in the mouth pulled pork and soft brisket. Highly flavourful, brilliantly cooked and served quickly and hot. Thank you to all staff and cooks!

We went has a family with our 3 year old grandson. The food was excellent nice choice for children.Staff was very friendly and desserts to die for.Would recommend this place.

Lovely local pub. The burgers are amazing! Way beyond what you'd expect, and prices are reasonable. Landlord and landlady warm and friendly. Make sure you stop by and take your appetite!

Best food in the area. Simply amazing, (home made chips which you can not fault) Lovely varied menu, food faultless including the roast dinner served on a sunday. Very welcoming pub, if you are thinking of going GO, you will not be dissapointed!!

On entering the pub it was really dark gloomy. It was quite busy but we found a table in the back room which was like someone's old living room. 2 kinds of crappy wallpaper, floral curtains, no pictures. Tables weren't laid out for food and were grubby. We were told there were no onion rings, but we ordered the sharer starter, and that had them on. We ordered ribs and chicken, and they said we could have chips instead of onion rings. But on the menu, it said it comes with chips, but when I questioned it, they said it doesn't. I had a burger and chips. We were both meant to have coleslaw with our meal, but that was missing. I had a hair on my plate. The plates were all mismatched. They brought our cutlery out in Happy Birthday napkins. We had puddings, but they had run out of vanilla ice cream. When we paid, I said the coleslaw was missing, and they just said they had run out. I would have expected for a Friday night for them to be more prepared and not run out if so many things. And when I questioned the ribs and chicken meal, which stated on the menu it came with corn, coleslaw, and mac and cheese, they said that that particular meal didn't come with them items they just didn't have enough room on the menu to state that! Overall the food was good but unfortunately the environment wasn't.

Stopped off here with a friend after a long commute from work. Firstly you just got the vibes of a lovely local pub. My friend and me had a meal as had heard nothing but good comments about the food…. And they weren’t wrong, the food was no word of a lie amazing! (We had a chicken burger and a meat platter) You can tell it’s freshly made and had so many flavours. Also we noticed that the beer from the taps was clearly from a well maintained bar, (clean pipes). All in all would highly highly recommend, thank you Will and Gemma for a lovely experience. Will definitely be returning!

last week went to the kings head Was really looking forward to this as I have recently moved back to the area and heard good things about the food but it was not a friendly environment, I was barked at about the change of table from outside to inside (it got cold, we are in England honey!) and had to order everything at the bar? I asked questions about other items on the menu and wanted to change some items and this was not possible, I had a large chef asking me what did I need and I told him I need this rather than that and he smirked! This is because I have allergies and so I have to be careful I did explain. i spent most of my meal worrying about the ingredients and if I was going to suffer from it :( I ate the food was not the worst but I' was up very ill and only just right now 5 days later :( sorry hate to give a bad review) but maybe work on your table manners

The servers behind the counter were mean and acted like it was a chore to serve you. Not a welcoming environment at all. I went once and never again.

We stopped in for a drink and lunch while we waited for our slot to view a property in Beck Row, with a plan to buying in the area. The pub does not serve coffee, there is a dining space but only for those who have booked. It was empty, no one had booked, but still we had to sit in a cold grotty booth by the dart board - so we gave up on lunch, drank up and left. It's spartan, grim, a spit and saw dust kind of place that I thought was long extinct, locals only, 'Deliverance' came to mind. I suppose I should thank them, this experience helped inform our decision to relocate to Beck Row. Which we won't be doing!

Had a wonderful evening here with family for the queen's celebrations, BBQ N GIN tasting night !! lovely friendly atmosphere, I have only just moved to this area, and have found a new "local" everybody was most welcoming, the food is always top notch, plentiful and good value for money , find it is always best to check if they are actually open before travelling, as opening times seem to vary a little,? Friendly efficient service

I would have given 5 stars but I came here three times before I was actually able eat here. First time I couldn’t find a parking spot - the lot is very small maybe 8 cars can fit. The 2nd night was on a Tuesday night - kitchen closed. Final try tonight and it was excellent. I had the chicken bacon Caesar salad and it was by far the best meal I have had in Mildenhall. A must try if your in Mildenhall!

Came in hoping for a Sunday roast. But this is apparently only an option if you pre book. It wasn’t busy, but in hindsight it would have been better to leave and book/return another time, rather than find this out after being seated at a dirty table in the corner of the bar. The food we were able to order was almost cold once it arrived, which made it doubly disappointing.

WOW, what can i say, the food was absolutely delightful, staff attentive and here in the Mildenhall area thankfully have finally found a pub that serves amazing food! Taken over in Jan 2021 you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic food great atmosphere

Super kid friendly they offer free kids meals Mon Wed and Fri! My kids loved it (ages 2 and 1). Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious!!! I had the brisket which was to die for. For dessert we got the biscoff cheesecake and the brownie, both are served with delectable icecream!! We loved it so much we could eat it every day. Top notch service and amazing food at a great price couldn’t help more pleased.

They clearly were ignoring Americans. Recommended Stella Artois as an “English” beer. Not impressed. Took way to long to get food or place an order.

good food very well priced recommend to any body

Just popped in quickly for a bite to eat. I had the Mac and cheese hotdog. Was very yummy however the Mac n cheese wasn't very hot. Lovely refreshing drink and great atmosphere sat out the front. The only issue I found was that you serve all drinks in plastic cups. Was this just because we sat outside? I'm not sure, but didn't seem very professional and isn't very good for the planet. Perfect service from out waitress

Just an unfriendly and unkind visit. The blonde big rude one was so off putting, truly made the whole stay terrible. Rude and fake to everybody. Do not recommend if you aren’t British or old.

Honest pub with good American style food

Had a lovely meal here with friends,the steak was amazing!the prices are excellent there is plenty to choose from,the covid rules were all followed and adhered by staff and visitors we will be going back would highly recommend 😋

Stopped here with my partner and two kids, clean and respectable pub, with friendly staff, main course is very well priced, had the brisket and blue burger and how delicious they where! Had nachos as a starter and feel they where slightly over-priced, but nothing could take away the deliciousness from the mains!

Tasty burgers! I had the blue burger with blue cheese and crispy bacon and mushrooms. It was perfect with a pint! Relaxed pub with lovely staff. One of my favourite places. Cozy and laid back with no-fuss, tasty food!
