Turning into a friendly regular weekend stop and they remember my base order.

Lovely staff. Unfortunately no WiFi.

The food was being picked up at the delivery time, which is unlikely to be fault of deliverer. Traffic is awful today. The place had run out of the cake id ordered but had written a polite note and it was easy to get that item refunded.

Never arrived and not refunded for delivery or service

I ordered no coffee in one and both have coffee so can’t drink it. Thanks a lot

No Costa is not getting better, the employees are not interested, polite, hardworking, they never laugh out loud among themselves but they are sullen to us customers. They are not clean at all, they do not respond to our extra requests, warmer or colder requests. There is unhappiness and indifference for no reason but I do not understand why they are like this in every branch. They are not clean at all, they are careless. my order did not arrive i have now mentioned this on several occasions and I am still going round and round in circles this was also communicated to costa coffee in Bedford midland road

delivery person left order on doorstep, didn't knock the door or let me know it was here. drink was spilt everywhere and the cup was practically empty. one item wasn't available, a lovely little note was left on the receipt saying about getting a refund, however after complaining about the drink I can't get a refund for the missing item. No fault of the restaurant at all. deliveries by bike should have a better way of transporting orders to a soggy mess from being left at the doorstep.

Absolutely disgusting service 1st order arrived with both coffees spilt all over the food and the driver tried to make me to accept the order - I refused. 2nd attempt the exact same thing happened again..!!!! I’ve been waiting now for over 2 hours for a coffee. This is not acceptable at all from apparently one of the leading delivery companies, packaging needs to be of a higher standard to prevent this happening when being delivered on a scooter/motorbike. Whole experience today has been very disappointing

Not happy food was broken in to pieces and coffee was cold and split every where

Waited ages for the delivery to come and once it came our “large” coffees were actually mediums but in a large cup, good job we checked before drinking them

I would rather not do that but it may brings some awareness for man, straight masculine man... A few weeks ago (3 weeks) I went there just for an Americano coffee, two ladies, young one I guess, for sure polish because one recognised me as she was my room mate before. I would rather skip her princess attitude and behaviour referring from sharing a house backing that time... so another knew I was polish and turned the conversation over from English to Polish like that would be my idea, I was a bit confused... While preparing coffee starts speaking to me about her day like I was interested... I just wanted my coffee, nothing else ladies!!! Please act next time more professionally and provide a service we are paying for. And stop having a sulk just because I would not listen to you how bad or good day you have/had because I was just interested to get my coffee, that is it. In the minute you will accuse me for hitting on you or something else... I just wanted a coffee... And if you have a bad day, well deal with it or take a day off. Thank you

I normally have black americano coffee. Costa coffee is probably the only coffee I can't drink that way. Personally I find their coffee too harsh and undrinkable.

I have many food intolerances and the lovely member of staff on the till got the allergy book for me to run through my milk options. She then washed the milk jug to ensure there was no cross contamination. Very friendly atmosphere

Found what looks like the tip of the milk bag in my coffee

Not a complaint against any branch as such, but costa as a whole. We use Costa lot and save the beans for a "free" coffee. Well free in that you spend about £45 to get enough beans. But it's not really a free coffee, it's a discounted coffee, not usable with any other offers. For example, They had an offer - get a £4.15 bacon roll for £2.50 with any hot drink. But you can't have this offer with your free drink..... so that means you get a £1.65 penalty for having your free drink. Which means it isn't free. Fortunately I've now woken up and smelt the coffee and will change allegiance to Starbucks - thank you for the nudge Costa.

The staff are really kind and helpful, the food and drink is presentable as expected ☺️ it’s a lovely place to relax and get some work done, or even just for a treat. This location closes later than others which is convenient. I recommend coming here :)

I went today with my friend to try white strawberry chocolate but had a bad memory for the life.. just want to say that short blonde hair lady doing the evening shift have zero manners to deal with customer. I was taking to her but she didn’t bother to reply back but start looking at another Asian colleague who surprisingly knew how to take order respectfully. I’ll suggest either teach her some skills of speaking or replace her to avoid any further damage to your reputation

Was one of the only coffee shops open. Just when you thought the Costa Coffee experience couldn’t get any worse it just did. Wish I could have the option of zero stars.

Food came quite quickly but unfortunately they had given us the wrong breakfast bap and not cream in my hot chocolate .

Disgusting cold tasteless tuna melt. Stingy small. Amount of dry tuna. No salt. Amd. Pepper in this at all. Need to google. Tuna melt. Recipe.what a joke!! MAYBE. TRY SERVING . FOOD HOT NEXT TIME

Order not checked as it Didn’t have the cake that I ordered but did put in a substitute one but not one that I liked. Didn’t remove the cream from the frappe despite me asking for it not to have cream

Went for lunch with my daughter today. Cannot fault the food but the staff are incredibly rude. Took a while to be served even though there were quite a few staff working, one carried on cleaning and didn't even acknowledge us. The same member of staff, Chardonnay, removed my toastie from the machine and literally threw it at me and walked off. Absolutely disgusting

I ordered a maple hot chocolate and received a latte. I don’t drink coffee so it’s had to go straight down the sink. Disappointed.

The ham and cheese toast or was not hot and was very hard like it had been sitting there for a long time. The hot chocolate was also cold. And the latte was ordered for someone else and it was supposed to be a plain latte but they sent a vanilla latte, the latte was hot.

The staff was not complaining when I asked for my drink to be made a little bit different than a normal one, which is a good point in case you have lactose intolerance or you are vegan, 👌

The best hot chocolate for walk.

Useful for coming off the trains and buses in the town as well as near to the rest of the town and other things. Lots of stuff there to have at anytime of day when open. Not too bad for a spot of lunch or coffee, well staffed essential for the busiest times of the week etc.

A LOVELY iced tea!! I asked for a cold infusion as I like the cup they put it in the clear cups, so they turned it into an iced tea which was nice.. But everytime I ask for a cold infusion staff always get arsey in every Costa I have been to! Like they do it indicating that it's an inconvenience for them!!! Like it should not be too hard to make it cold 🤷🏻‍♀️ but it was nice.

Dayna one of the baristas was so rude to me. Shouted at me. Then proceeded to spit in my tea! How they've got staff like that working there I will never know! Young lad named Andrea though was seen doing lots of work, props to him!

Decided to give costa another chance after my horrible experience last time. Was served by a lovely girl with butterfly tattoos. Very polite. A lot better than the last person I was served by last time I came into this costa.

Went there for food and coffee with kids and husband, asked the woman on the shop floor if she could clean the table for us, she replied “I’ll clean whenever I have time, I have other things to do”, absolutely shocking, but waited there patiently until she finished emptying the dishwasher as there was no other table free, then after some time she came to clean the table, was rude to our kids saying “I’m not done yet” looking straight into their face like to say “p* off”. When she was about to finish I asked if she could clean the food that was on the chair too and she lost it, she yelled at us in front of the people, we were never treated by someone like that ever before! I told her I needed to speak to the manager she said “speak to him I don’t care”, then I said ok then I will complain to the head office and she replied “please do”!!!! The manager issued a refund but didn’t say sorry or asked us what happened. When I asked what her name was he replied he can’t give it! I saw her name tag was something like Alija. Absolutely horrified!!!! If she can’t speak to customers properly or clean a table, what is she doing there earning money? And the manager needs to learn how to deal with customer service! It’s not just making coffee and taking money!

Lovely coffee but far too much money

I went to get myself a coffee as I wanted to try out the new toffee penny latte. I was waiting to be served by a lad named Jack, but he was too busy shouting at a young lass, who seemed to be new, which I thought was really unprofessional on his behalf as all the customers had to see him shout at this lass. I also noticed while waiting for my coffee to be made, that Jack was giving his friends free drinks. I'm not sure if the manager is aware of this, but his friends orders did not go through the till. I will not be coming back.

Great place, clean bathrooms. Inside and outside tables for smokers. Cakes, pies, cookies are wonderful. Great service!

Used to be a regular here as it’s convenient for me I work down the road. All the employees smoke right outside the building! Which I find gross, fag in one hand costa in another, not exactly attracting customers. No wonder it’s a 0 in hygiene. Had the rudest person serve me! ( foreign women, kind of short blonde hair) absolutely the worst attitude I’ve ever received in my life, she struts around wearing no face mask, i was eating in and she was staring at me non stop! Giving dirty looks for no reason!! Avoid this place at all costs, better one opposite JD.

Coffee was good, as you would expect from Costa: let's face it, we go to our favourite coffee chain because we like the coffee and we know what we are going to get. Some staff were polite - one guy in particular practiced 'selective social distancing', where he told some customers to wait on the line to be served but not others. I wouldn't patronise this particular branch again because of this - I'd rather go to McDonalds for my latte instead.

Disgusting. Avoid this place literally like the plague. If it doesn't improve, no doubt the authorities will close it down. There are some excellent cafés nearby, for example; Frescoes and Mamma Concetta.

Went in here sat 23 nov 2019 was really surprised its been done up very nice so much better all new and nice new tables chairs etc

Read on fb that they got a 0 rateing hygine thats very bad dont think il be going back there which is a shame the staff were always nice to me have to see if it improves coffee better in a takeaway cup

My wife and myself nipped in here for coffee and cake on a Saturday afternoon, no problem with the coffee and food however the place is riddled with filth. Some of the chairs are ripped and stained, food particles stuck in the chair crevices as well as on the floor and window sills, and tables weren't cleared, chipped paint and Windows covered with so many handprints, the place really needs a total refurb, for where this is situated, it could be so much better but I'll never set foot in here again

It seemed that the cup of flat white had been made with a low quality type of coffee bean. It seemed to just taste of milk which made it seem very sickly. The staff seemed bored

Very nice venue to sit and relax and enjoy your coffee in. Staff very friendly, efficient and professional. In a very good location. Would thoroughly recommend.

A depressing place, and most of the customers look like alcoholics or druggies. The staff appear to be depressed and I don't blame them. The coffee is below average for a Costa, and somehow seems weak and flavourless. The atmosphere seemed a little on edge, but I guess that's more to do with the customers, who make the place feel down and oppressive. I really wouldn't return, but I will say its probably more to do with the location and the people who frequent this place than any fault of Costa or its staff.

This establishment varies from the almost excellent to the other extreme of poor. There does not appear to be any in between. The coffee is quite often just warm and seldom hot. The service is also variable as is the clearing of dirty tables.

I visited this establishment last week with a friend to catch up. That was the best part of the day.Sadly the service was extremely slow with only tow members of staff on duty.The cups were dirty especially the glasses which look as old and as tired as me!The only saving grace was that the coffee was reasonable.The previous week it had been suggested that I try the Columbian coffee. Don't bother it costs more and tastes the same.The staff need to raise their game and the management need to schedule more staff to be on duty at coffee time 10.30 to 11.30.

Oh dear !! What a horrible place. I met a friend and she said let's do Costa . I did admit I'd never step foot in there and after today I never will again . I grabbed seats and she queued for 25 minutes . By the time she'd ordered I was really looking forward to hot chocolate . A tall hot chocolate with a long spoon ! Mmmm was so ready for it . WHAT A LET DOWN IT WASN'T HOT ! It was ok but not hot I could have drank it straight down it was luke warm. All the tables were dirty and service appallingly slow. And then the stink of stale coffee and cigarettes from outside . Vile . Never to be repeated

I meet a friend here almost every week.The environment is declining and the toilet is disgusting.They are now serving coffees without a saucer and there is a distinct lack of serviettes, well the small pieces of paper that they used to provide.They are bad at clearing empty tables of the cups with the result that people gather them together and move them to another table.The place is going down hill and it appears that the coffee shop company is caring less about their customers and more about their profits.

Have a nice coffee latte with raspberry muffin. Coffee was hot enough to warm us up after morning walk around . Muffin was fresh and tasty. We were served very fast. Thanks to Costa team.

Chain outlets are so standardised by the brand that often the real difference is provided by the staff.My visit to this Costa typifies this.Food & Coffee identical to every other Costa however one member of staff was cherry, outgoing and really did make me look forward to the ensuing day. The other barista, whilst much more reserved was still efficient.It's great to have staff that interact so well with their customers - just hope the Costa Management appreciate their asset. Oh and the wood smoked bacon rolls are superb!!!
