Been twice now for bottomless graze very good value plenty to eat and drink friendly staff diffenly plenty to drink also get 2 cocktails each going again in june

Came here while passing from a restaurant to a bar. Had a few wines and cocktails with friends while sittinf outside. I really loved the relaxed vibe and the staff were really friensly and approachable. A little hidden gem

We took advantage of the bottomless graze experience and had a thoroughly enjoyable time! A girlie night out with friends was made all the more better thanks to this wine bar and their staff. Nothing was too much trouble and the drinks were kept topped up. The graze platters were delicious with lots of choice. Thanks for a great time 😊

This is more of a dive bar.... although the Owner will make attempts to make you think this place has any class. Don't waste your time or energy in this tiny cuby hole, find yourself a grown up place where you know you will enjoy.

I've visited this bar numerous times over the years and always had a suspicion the drinks were either watered down or you're not getting what you actually paid for... like ordering Ciroc and getting Smirnoff. I visited on a Saturday in October and had my suspicions confirmed. Ordered Remy Martin brandy and was given something entirely different. When I mentioned it to the staff I was made out to be a liar. Cheap £5 cocktails, unlimited prosecco and cocktails for £30pp. Check what you're drinking and what you're actually being served.

A really cool little bar. Great staff, really good vide in there too. Just off the high street but feels like a million miles away, in the right way.

Advertised The Soul Man would be performing at 2pm and the place was crammed with people into a small caged off area outside. Quite a few young kids (including a baby in a pram) and many smokers. Left at 4:30pm as he hadn’t shown up and no explanation as to why he wasn’t there. Annoying when travelled from out of town to see him.

Nice little wine bar, with outdoor seating This place is quite small,but in the summer the outdoors can make it a nice social setting with friends, Toilets are upstairs can be tricky if busy, and not good with stairs

Great music and great atmosphere

We attended the above function and had an amazing time. The decor was wonderful and DJ Shady was amazing. The Prosecco was good and reasonably priced; we will definitely go again next year. Points for improvement: it would be nice if the bar staff cracked a smile once in a while (they looked beyond miserable and pushing punters out of the way instead of saying excuse me?) and having no toilet seat in the ladies bathroom is NOT acceptable. Sort these issues out and it will be a 5 star review the next time.

Very small, but personal wine bar. As with many not cheap! No parking near, best to get a taxi anyway.

Great place the owners are amazing and such a wide variety of wines and beer.The cosy bar is one of my favourites in bedford Friendly welcoming and tucked out of the way so none of the idiots that frequent the high street venture down the alley keep it up

Have been to this bar 4-5 times now. It is the only place to be in Bedford for a good respectable knees up. The drinks are lush, the staff are friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere rocks as does the music! We will be back Saturday and Sunday! Thanks for all the awesome nights we have enjoyed at the flute wine bar and flat! Xx

After a great meal out we found this wine bar.great tunes great booze and an atmosphere second to none in bedford.great place to sit drink and chat. I loved it.

Nice atmosphere, a bit away from the high street

A disappointing evening. We ordered Sauvignon blanc (a fairly common wine) to be told they had none left. They went to the Italian restaurant next door and brought back a poor Spanish wine. We asked for an alternative and were offered a Pinot Grigio. We would have thought that a wine bar only open three nights a week would have better stock. We hope they are not going downhill like the restaurant next door.

I think the title sums up our experience. It's not the biggest place but the service was super slow. Took us nearly 15 minutes just to order drinks on a Friday night. They need more staff.

This is the place to be come 10 in the evening after a great meal take your partner here squeeze in grab a pew and relax with good drinks and live music/dj if it gets to mush head outside to the terrace and enjoy the atmosphere of one of bedford little Italian ally way with a top notch restaurant next door and Italian barber on the side. Get down here on your next Saturday night!!!

La segunda vez fue visitado. El 1 de la calle era padre y hijas de salir por la noche. Y nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos y nos cuidaron.La segunda fue el sábado pasado, mi hija tuvo una reunion bebidas allí.Fue fantástico, la bebida y el servicio era excelente. La música que gratis estaba mi calle! ! Nada era demasiado para el personal.Lo recomendamos encarecidamente! !

Este pequeño bar puede ser escondido en un callejón detrás de la calle principal, pero vale la pena una visita.

Fabulous little wine bar hidden in a side street off the high street Very friendly staff and a fabulous wine list

Great place to have wine/spirits in a nice small atmosphere with no groups of youths blocking the bar (over 21s). Definitely recommend for after dinner drinks

A great little find - hidden in an alleyway just off the high street. We chanced upon this in Thursday and had a bottle of reasonable prosecco for £12.50 (the offer for a Thursday when we visited) Although raining, we sat outside to enjoy this smal, but good bar.

This is a lovely little bar with a nice selection of wines. They are starting to do cocktails which will be a great add on because Bedford doesn't have many bars offering cocktails. Did have a nice feel to it but I think it would be different later at night. This would be a great place to have a glass of wine in the afternoon if out shopping but it doesn't open until 19:30. Please open from lunchtime at weekends?

Thinks it's a wine and lounge bar, feels and looks like a dive bar!

A little gem, very cozy and great atmosphere. The team is outstanding and the drinks are marvellous. I had a great night out with my girlfriend and we will definitely going back soon. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent little bar hidden away from the awful high street pubs and club. Mainly has an older clientele, with a nice cosy friendly feeling to it. The owners are really nice people and its an excellent place to go for that pre or post dinner drink. Need to get the music right though guys to match the clientele.

Came here for a girls night out! Love this place. Owners are lovely too and always make you feel welcome! Also love the fact that it's over 21s only. There's always an amazing atmosphere here too.

This small bar is different from the usual Bedford scene. Was quite crowded on Saturday night which made it difficult to relax. Smelt strongly of beer. The party music did not really match the older crowd. Was good to get away from the high street though. The expensive wine list made interesting reading!

So...ordered a bloody mary and the owner told the barmaid to put tomato sauce in the drink as he didn't have tomato juice !!!! so be careful if you don't order beer or wine!!!!!

Really enjoyed this little place, the Champagne was excellent. They had a little tent in the front so you could have a cigarette and stay out of the rain. Nice touch. Good age mix. Great service.

love this place visited with family before a meal out and it was such a relaxing atmosphere and the staff couldn't do enough for you very friendly. We decided to go back after out meal and it was sooo busy had such a lovely vibe and a great atmosphere it had people of all ages and every one was having a great time defiantly going to become my new night out hotspot

I walked in to this bar and felt uncomfortable, staff where rude, place had no atmosphere, very pricey would not recommend.

I love the Flute. Its so nice to have somewhere to have a drink in bedford, with an outside area to sit and chat- thats quiet and attracts a nice crowd of people. An advantage is also the over 21 policy- stops big groups of newbie 18 year olds coming in.

I attended the Flute with a group of girls we shared a few bottles of prosecco!! We had a lovely time in nice surroundings, small but cosy. Staff very attentive and even ordered a bottle of prosecco for us to have in The Pantry as we were going there next.

Friendly little bar with a good vibe. However management tend to serve first and save seats for their favourites or their own.

Small friendly bar, lacking in musak and other rubbish. Good range of drinks, including Prosecco on tap. Predominantly Italian in nature. Extremely pleasant. However, for a visitor to Bedford, the Flute is not easy to find and only opens on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

the place isn't very big but well done, I visited with my husband and friends and we are happy. a small problem is parking the car, but it is minimal. adorable beer and friendly staff

A very warm friendly welcome from this family run wine bar. Smiley, and good conversation from the owners. The drinks fair and nothing too much trouble a good way to start your evening out. the place is heaving with a family atmosphere.

We went to the Flute Wine bar in a group there were 10 of us. We managed to get in there just before it got really busy and the atmosphere was great. Really chilled out night and choice of wines and spirits was good too! Well worth a try.
