My go to for dessert in Bedford 100%. The customer service is brilliant. Nice place to chill out with music and vibes. I’ll post pics when I go next

My husband and I love Dessert Island!!! We've tried the pink bubblegum ice cream, blue bubblegum ice cream, banana ice cream, chocolate ice cream, Ferrero Rocher cheesecake, Ferrero Rocher ice cream, Kinder ice cream, and waffle cones. All have been so yummy!! Everyone is so friendly there as well!

I'm not usually one to write reviews, but when it comes to Dessert Island, I feel compelled to share my experience. Every time I've ordered or dined in, it has been exceptional. You can tell the staff truly love what they do, and it reflects in everything they make. Their waffles are like magic, the ice cream always tastes fresh and delicious, and the cakes are truly top-notch. It’s clear that everything is made with care and passion. Honestly, I have nothing negative to say. The only thing that could elevate Dessert Island even further is its interior design. I believe the ambiance should match the high quality and love that goes into their desserts, which are honestly exceptional.

Such delicious desserts. Me and my family ordered a variety from the vast menu and we all were so impressed by the presentation and quality of the desserts. The decor is so clean and bright. My favourite dessert place in Bedford.

We have been ordering at Dessert Island for many years. Recently the service was not the same. The milkshakes did not taste as usual. The reason for this might be they have changed the ownership.

We have been using this restaurant for many years however we’ve had an acceptable experience today. Order placed via just eat however delivery did not arrive. When we called the restaurant they said the driver tried calling the phone number many times and left the food at the door. No phone calls were received and no food was delivered. The restaurant basically told us that it is what it is. Considering that we use this restaurant regularly they still did not believe us. We will hereby not be using this restaurant again!!

Tasty and great value for money portions are huge. Waffles were quality - 4 in each portion and freshly made. Comes with ice cream, toppings and fresh cream. Really friendly staff too. Definitely recommend a visit with kids. Parking right outside is free after 6pm.

Everrytime i go in there the staff always smiling and very friendly. Also the milkshake that we get from here which is raspberry ripple is always spot on 👌can not get this milkshake anywhere else also they have a big variety of milkshakes ice creams and also hot and cold desserts. I’ve been a regular customer at Dessert Island for years and have generally enjoyed their offerings. However, a few hours ago, I ordered two milkshakes - a Mars and a Chocolate Gelato - and both tasted off. Despite informing the staff, they did not acknowledge the issue and insisted that the milk and ice cream used were fine. I had to bin both shakes due to their poor quality. This lack of customer service was disappointing, especially given my positive experiences in the past. I hope they address this issue to maintain their usual quality standards.

Ordered a delivery this evening but after an hour and a half waiting we decided to call to find out how long our food would be. The woman on the phone was rude and basically said they had no delivery drivers and hung up, we called back twice with no answer. Common courtesy would have been to call us an let us know our food wouldn't be coming. Customer service is absolutely disgusting. We have used dessert Island many times but will now take our business elsewhere.

Order was incorrect and very very late

came here to treat my 3 little ones after school. wish i hasn’t bothered! Place Needs a deep clean. not very nice at all, gym stuck to tables, spilt food down side of table, tatty seats with foam showing through. icecream tasted very odd! did not like it. Ordered rainbow cake, honestly thought it was a display cake only, given to us by mistake! it was rock hard, i banged it on the counter to show the lady just how vile it was!! waffles were ok, lacking any toppings, very very tight on the toppings! maple syrup waffle i wasnt excepting it to be so very dry, it waS very dry! Very limited drinks, no diet coke/coke, no fruit shoots for kids. no smiles with service. the place was dead. now i know why! i would not recommended at all.

Spent £6 on cornflake tart and it was so small. Not good. Literally got mugged off. Don’t recommend to order online. Not happy customer.

I always get a quick service here. Staff are always welcoming. Reasonably priced items.

This place either needs a complete change of staff and management even possibly ownership, as I literally walked in and could have had a better welcome from speaking to a wall. Outdated no hot drinks!, no smiles, no wonder it was empty !!!

Good be better and staff need a bit more energy and motivation.

My doughnuts were so stale they didn’t get eaten, very hard as if they had been repeatedly reheated

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Ordered at 6.30pm and wasn't delivered until 8.20pm (after telling me delivery would be 30mins) The cookie dough had the wrong topping was cold and rock hard plus the ice cream had melted. The mocktail was practically water. Had to phone twice for order update and kept telling me it was out for delivery (been saying that since 7.20pm) Massively disappointed and will NEVER be ordering from here again. Ridiculously overpriced for what I got as well (only ordered because of pregnancy cravings)

Taste amazing, generous toppings, tad expensive , good delivery time, may order from them again, but I seriously consider lowing the prices as the drink portions are quite small for the price

I had to chase on just eat. Food was freezing apart from the ice cream which was soup. And spilt all over the other bits. Had to throw most of it away . Shocking food, shocking delivery, shocking care it was 30 minutes later then the latest time stated when ordering and it was then to late for my son to eat. The time above doesn’t let me change to 30 minutes

Forgot two things in order paid £50 just a joke

First time visiting and when we are next in the area will definitely be visiting again. Waffle was light and fluffy and the ice cream had great flavours.

The milkshake are yummy really good and tasty, however my only issue is the straws very bad can’t even suck properly

My Sunday was missing and took them 1 hour to bring it and half melted and didn't taste great

Got the order early and thought “great”, then halfway through my birthday milkshake saw a big black eyelash in it. Totally ruined it for me and won’t be ordering again on that basis unfortunately.

Really loved going here however the standards have dropped, the girl at the till is moody and gives very poor customer service. To be honest it isn’t a very pleasant setting as it used to be. Always have to get them to clean the table. There is one guy working there and his customer service is really good however he is at the back. I think they need to take the girl to the back and get the boy to the front. Will makes a huge difference!! I don’t think I’ll be going here anymore to be honest!

I ordered a large sorbet and got a normal and our delivery was partly melted and over 30 minutes late. We have ordered from here quiet alot in the past without any issues.

The place has dropped its standards very low. They seem more busy with take away orders than customers dining in front of them. Place was dirty, sticky tables and extremely dirty chairs that have not been wiped clean for a very long time. Customer service was very depressing, no smile, no hello, nothing. Food was served with minimum effort. Even my kids refused to sit on the chairs but as it was late and we have already ordered I had no choice but to sit through after asking them to clean one of the tables. There were dried food, wet food all over the floor around the table, on the chairs. This is a big fail in my opinion.

The deserts here are nice and a good value for money. The venue could do with more seating for customers and a little refurb as the decor seemed a bit dated. However, the service was good and the deserts were nice so can't complain. Would go again.

Food was late, cookie dough was cold waited 2 hours for my order…

Cakes were smashed and completely uncared for. Only 1 was almost a slice of cake

Ordered shakes, which weren't even made properly. The little girl serving had so much attitude and should have stayed at home. The guy there does a much better job, a shame he was in the back.

What should have been warm was cold and what should have been cold had melted. Long delivery time was delayed even further and they still charged a delivery fee for this privilege. Not impressed at all..

Over 30 minutes late after a 1 hour delivery window - rude staff on the phones and delivery drivers with no change. After 1 hour 45 minutes we have no dessert as the driver had no change and got told to take it back. Shocking service.

My daughter daughter found human hair in the cookie dough we’d ordered. Made her quite sick actually knowing she’d ate part of the cookie dough before finding the hair. Took pictures. Never order from here again. Absolutely disgusting !!!

Just bought a red velvet sponge through deliveroo stale and hard. Tried to call dessert island no one answered.

We ordered deserts and we asked for chocolate ice cream but we never got that and we asked for bubblegum sauce and sprinles but never received that we payed extra aswell and the food was cold I'm very disappointed

This place has gone downhill ever since the old management left. It's a real hit and miss nowadays depending on the staff working there at the time you order. And why does everyone look so miserable and hostile when you go through that door? Seems like you walked in on their break.

You take an order then the customer isnt waiting? Whats so difficult to understand? Dont them repeatedly to call back can tell you know were all walking past to snap a photo of the useless cow on the phone thats for sure plaster that on here so yall now ! Our friend just called to place an order there are 8 people who where ordering and he was told to call back ... Dissapointment in a cup is what this place should be called TERRIBLE BUSINESS ETHICS making people call back and wait.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Ordered through Deliveroo took one hour and a half before it was even out for delivery, waited a further 20 minutes to be told it would be another 20 minutes. Terrible service.

However the driver would not bring my food to the first floor and made me Come down even though I have a 1 year old child in the flat. Her reason was because of health and safety trips and falls (her words). This is not acceptable and is not the rules I will not be ordering again unless something changes - if I hadn’t paid by card you would have wanted your money and come up to get it: what a shame

Earlier than expected which worked out great. Hot and delicious. The delivery driver was very nice and polite, wishing us a lovely evening. Great service.

Rude servers and terrible service. The food is average tasting and loaded with sugar. The cookie dough is often raw - so be careful!

Brilliant, very quickly delivered. My kids love it. I could eat it all day. The ONLY downside is the calories! Lol! Delicious.

The chocolate toothpaste cake is nothing like toothpaste cake at all. It's just a chocolate mousse on top of an under baked shortbread. Disappointing.

I must admit usually the dessert is great as my last raspberry rumble was amazing and had loads of raspberries. On this occasion it only had about 8 on it and wasn't up to normal standards.
