Tesco Cafe in Bedford

I wanted a gingerbread milkshake but they wernt any so I'm bit disappointed but got hot check didn't want but had any not even with cream on top

Never had so much problems with an order being so cold. NOT JUST EATS FAULT

This is the fourth week of going to the cafe for a breakfast and chicken wrap. Each week they have a different excuse why they can't cook what you want. No chicken wraps, no bread for toast not cooking breakfast, only doing panties, they make you wait in a que and tell you when you get to order that they are not cooking, why not put a sign up saying that before you que for 10 minutes, this is the last time we attempt to eat in this cafe, and the only thing I can say is shut it down it's not worth having open, but they are still cooking for just eat takeaways but can't cook for the people who want to sit and eat something, absolute shambles and Tesco should be ashamed of the service they are not providing. Such a shame because the staff try to do there best but Tesco are making them look like scape goats.

Im leaving this bad review of tesco breakfast not because the food was particularly bad as I eaten it several times. I got to the cashier n asked for a breakfast then she politely asked do I want mushrooms or black pudding ( love black pud) I said sure, but then said how much extra £1.25 I asked for many slices, was then told 1. Ggggrrrrrrr jog on you robbing gits, it's £1.60 for 6 in Morrisons...not happy keep ur mushrooms no doubt u will Rob me for those aswel, think it's time to switch cafes.. morrisins here we come.

Both breakfasts ordered came without eggs, not impressed, but obviously they didn't forget the extra 2 x sausages and 2 x chips ordered

Very polite staff who are very friendly and efficient,the food comes in good time and is nice,the cafe is clean and well run

Had a lovely late lunch here today! The food was good for the price, I had a chicken burger, which was cooked well and very crispy with flavourful chips! The mango smoothie and chocolate and raspberry milkshake were also better than expected. The whole café had a great atmosphere, despite being in a busy supermarket and the service was fantastic! Reeve was our main server today and he was great! Really polite and provided fantastic service, with knowledge of the food as well as his own opinion

Shockingly bad. received only 1 breakfast instead of 2 and the one I did receive there was literally a teaspoons amount of avocado.

The vegetarian sausages are not good... So their sausage bap was not worth. However the bread was excellent. The best was the hollumi burger meal with peri peri chips. Definitely ordering again

The food was cold and I ordered 3 big breakfasts and didn't receive 3 sausages and 3 bits of bacon not happy

I asked for delivery not collection now I'm 10.70 down the drain and neither tescos or just eat will take responsibility for the mistake I'm a 53 Yr old with severe arthritis so why would I collect an order 5 miles away no sense

Waited 25 mins for breakfast only one person cooking for everyone , breakfast came paid 8.50 ,egg whites were still clear asked for cooked ones ,,and they came after I had eaten the rest of my breakfast ,not able to swap hash browns for other items ,left hungry and very disappointed .no mushrooms no tomatoes .will never have Tesco breakfast again

Order was never delivered. But app states it has been. Impossible to get hold of anyone to resolve this

Really disappointed this time round. Firstly waffles are completely burnt but freeing cold. And everytime I order multiple drinks i only ever receive one. Just seems to have lack of care

Slow service at the counter. £1.95 for a can of coke. Disgusting rip off for an in house cafe. Then a wait of 35 mins for food to come out. Food was poor too. This cafe needs a complete rethink in terms of a Menu it can deliver quickly. Prices that are appropriate and fair and food that actually tastes decent. One bright spark staff were continually apologetic.

Missing items and food arrived. Cold. Was notified that food was close and then it still took 40 minutes from that point for food to actually arrive..

I ordered a breakfast, it came without an egg. What a joke

The breakfast was great and hot! I was pleased with my driver who was polite and courteous.

Burnt muffin Minimal Halloumi and avocado Food cold The breakfast was cold so needed microwaving, the food was dry before it went in the oven for just 45 seconds. Afterwards it was almost inedible sadly. This order we have had on many occasions and it is usually very good but sadly not today.

Food was early. was quick and easy to order. arrived hot!

They have taken fish and chips off the menu, which was the only decent thing. Ordered the haloumi burger and chips instead, for the price you pay the quality is appalling. Service is always so slow, staff jump they queue, one person at the till. Won't be back any time soon.

No time specified, however arrived cold and have had to warm up my rolls in the over.

Incredibly slow service. The queue wasn't that long (3 in front) but it took 15 minutes to get served

bap needs buttering, bacon needs to be fat removed and better cooked until almost crispy. beans portion was meagre.

i walked into the cafe, holding my 5 year olds hand and walked over to the cafe desk. following behind me was my 10 year old, my 8 year old, my 6 year old and my 3 year old (being held by my 10 year old) We were all ready to chooce our food but then a rather rude couple came behind me and asked me and my 5 childrn to hurry up. i dont know if they have ever had children but ordering food is very difficult to do with kids. the couple kept bargin me and my family, very rude. the food was okay but very excpencive for how much we got but thats inflation right? anyway, staff as lovely as usual.

Got given a Lemon muffin instead of Cranberry but it was fine. Still no sauce sachet

Fabulous! We had the perfect breakfast.

Order was delivered quickly and still hot/fresh however the quality wasn’t as good as expected. I couldn’t eat the fried bread because I got a mouth full of oil with 1 bite and the egg, although it looked great, was very rubbery. I would however recommend the breakfast wrap which was good, although could have been wrapped better

My order was wrong and it won’t let me receive a refund. this is a shambles

Veg breakfast awful. Sloppy wet spinach and 1 teaspoon of it, the breakfast was cold and minimal. Not worth the money. The bacon bap the bacon wasnt cooked enough and alot of stringy fat. Chips over cooked and sharp bits/ half the chips missing. Yesterday I order bacon bap and chips - was excellent. Today is a No No and has put me off ordering again.

Went there today customer service was brilliant a young lady called Debbie served me her customer service was brilliant thats my first time I have revisited the store since its been done up I was very impressed will definitely go back there I had mentioned to the young lady debbie that my coffee was cold and she sorted it out straight away very good customer service

All cold except beans. Driver didn't reach the restaurant until the delivery due time and then took 10 minutes to travel less than 1/4 of a mile. Restaurant did contact me to say they were waiting for the driver.

It said delivered, but my order never turned up! Couldn’t get through and speak to anyone! NOT HAPPY!

When someone orders extra cheese, that is down to the restaurant to actually add the extra cheese in the actual wrap, not give it in a pot for customers to add themselves. very lazy

Some of the fish was still hard / frozen so I didn’t eat it all but the rest was eaten

The bread was dry and crumbly. Sausage bap was dry. Ultimate Bap was less dry. Wouldn’t order again

It was really good my only downside was that the egg was a little underdone for my liking. Other than that all good. Price was a bit steep however I didn’t need to cook it or wash up so for the convenience I can live with it and would still buy again

Not impressed with the food really. Tuna was ok. Ham and cheese toastie wasn't even cut in half and it was like burnt cheese. Also the breakfast was very small for the price. Looked like a kids size version. I feel like I wasted my money so I'm not happy about that.

I eat large meals there and I wouldn't eat there regularly if the food wasn't good, reasonably priced and acceptable service. My truth is the service is exceptional and the quality ingredients, freshly cooked. Give credit where credit is due.

Food was lovely, I felt COVID safe when ordering. Place is very clean and the team are extremely polite and made you feel welcome

Walked in sat afternoon with Mrs. Ordered coffee, tea, burger & chips & a full english. Service was instant & friendly. All food was really excellent (I was shocked), served within minutes and was excellent value. (Like half price for the food quality). Reckon they got a an ex-pub chef in the kitchen now due to pub job losses. Seriously highly recommended.

Service has improved enormously post lockdown. Limited menu of good food, very reasonably priced and served promptly and courteously.

I can now say that this cafe is an absolute JOKE to buy your lunch at!!!! I seriously think the staff here have appalling service skills here, they clearly don’t even know what they’re doing. First impression I get is, ladies behind the till seen friendly and polite. Very slow service. Not very busy. This place is no different to when I last came, I had to even repeat myself three times in order for the waitress to accept my order. I asked for a portion of chips to take out. Throughout the time it took, several others ordering hot drinks at the same time, clearly the till staff seem to care about each other!!! Not so much about the state of the cafe and everybody else. Just chatting amongst themselves and each other... GODSAKE!!!! Finally when the till lady delivered the chips, I went over to add sauce and salt. To my horror, I opened the container to find only a few chips lingering in the bottom!!! Hello enough there for a five year olds lunch box!!!! Absolutely shocking and disappointing. I had to call over the till lady and the cook, to discuss my disappointment. I explained to the cook, ‘this portion isn’t good enough’ to my surprise the cook did say, ‘this is the portion required by the businesses policy.’ I asked for a top up, the cook didn’t seem to mind too much, he did apologise and took it back to top. To my embarrassment, I was stuck near the till waiting for an additional batch to come over. Took ages. Till lady offered me to continue being seated for the wait. I declined. Next the chips arrived after my complaint, cook did apologise again after the problem, about a certain amount of chips been added! I find this absolutely shocking and Ridiculous!!!!! Offering that to a fully grown adult. Enough there for a five year olds lunch.. I will say, I will not be returning again to this cafe. Really need to sort their cafe out complete nightmare. Never again!!

I kept on meaning to write a review, as this occurred just before Christmas!!! I have visited this cafe numerous times in the past, decent food here, staff friendly and helpful. I will definitely not return after my recent visit here, I came for a bake potato for lunch, approached the till, cafe wasn’t busy, woman distracted by dealing with a customer. I think this woman needed to sort her customer skills out, very delayed with approaching me and dealing with other things as well. I only got told there were no Bake Potatoes! I was very shocked and disappointed by this, how can this be? Lady apologised to be fair.... quite poor customer service...not a clue to what she was doing! Cafe has always been good!! It will be a long time until I return.

What a difference the upgrade some time ago as made, and the speed of service, and table service now first class I use it most weeks.

So we stopped here to grab some breakfast, and what a disaster it turned in to, I have never in my life been treated with such disrespect by a member of staff, working in a restaurant or cafe. We basically ordered 3 breakfasts, when they arrived it was clear the eggs had been sitting about for ages and they were rock hard, I asked politely if I could get some fresh eggs and they politely told me I could, as the fresh eggs came my wife mentioned that her toast tasted funny, she had already eaten most of it, only for us to inspect it and it was clear it had gone off and had mould growing on it, green mould ! I was furious to say the least my wife is breast feeding our 4 month old daughter and she was very upset that she had been served it and also that she had ate it. I complained immediately to the young lad who had just dropped the eggs to the table, and asked to speak to someone in charge, he then walked back to the kitchen area and spoke to the chef who then started laughing like it was funny. I was actually enraged by this, I went and spoke to him at which point he ran to the security desk, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, and no point had I received a apology. I have since spoken to a lady called Louise from the Tesco Cafe and she has offered to give me a free breakfast for the upset that was caused, but I find that insulting in itself, I feel my wife should be compensated, she didn’t feed our baby for a day and half as normal as she was worried at making her ill. To offer us a breakfast as compensation is just not good enough. I want this matter addresses further, I want a apology from the guy who thought it was funny and I want some better compensation. People make mistakes it’s just how it is, but it’s how we deal with them that counts, and laughing at a customer about serving his wife mouldy food is more than a joke, I hope someone with authority there reads this review and gets back in touch with me to put this matter right.
